I think Jeffb nailed it. If your batteries are showing 5.16 your batteries are dangerously low (if 2.58 is even possible). If the specifications are correct it should not go below 6.6 volts, which is 3.3 volts/battery since they are in series (i am assuming based on the 8.4v = 100%)

I totally agree with everything said here. There is somthing seriously wrong with someone who will sell a clone as authentic. I can understand when a store unknowingly buys a clone, and resells it, but otherwise no. I have fallen victim to it a few times, and each time the store denied it. I made sure plenty of locals knew about it. I have only bought one thing online as genuine, that turned out to be a clone, and it was batteries. They were cheap, and work just as well as the originals, so I really have not been too bothered by it. (In fact they may be original, but the markings are different than all of my others, they are very, very close) The morality of clones all together, I feel you have to take on a case by case basis. My all day vape is a Zero clone. The original "Carlos Creations Zero" can run from $300 up and over 6 months wait. I have never had the desire to buy one, and still don't. I bought it for the chip, a DNA clone (lol) that does 60 watts plus has a nickel purity setting. All of my mechanicals and RDA's are clones, and it was totally by design. I was not sure if dripping/mechanicals would be my thing, and it turned out it wasn't. I only have a couple of hundred invested in the last year. Most of the things I am in the market for, I would never buy clones, knowingly.

I understand your frustration. I keep some 24mg, and 36mg juice around just for those occasions. I keep a Nautilus on an iStick just for this. The juice I have won't run but around 15 watts in this combo. If that doesn't do it I grab a dripper. I will do a few drags off of a higher than normal nicotine level in the dripper. If that doesn't do it, I know it is not the nicotine that causing my problem. So I just grab my very low nicotine coffee/cream combo and chain vape. Like they say, don't beat yourself up. I have been off of stinkies just a little over a year, and the "Bad Times" are very few and far between now, but it wasn't that way in the beginning. Normally it is other things in my life that is causing my stress and I am learning to deal with them a bit better. (Of course this is just me)

There are finally quite a few of large airflow single coil RTA's coming out lately. I just bought 2, I really don't need another. This one uses an RBA, SubTank Coils, Delta Coils, and Atlantis Coils....pretty unique! Product Description: The Morph Tank is both an RTA and a Sub Ohm Tank, which was created through a collaboration with EHPRO and Eciggity. What makes the Morph different in the Sub Ohm Tank market is its compatibility with MANY different types of sub ohm coils with the use of adaptors. Why buy more Sub Ohm Tanks when you can simply put an adapter for the coil you want to use into the Morph Tank? I can't do video...lol. I have not tried it yet, but have heard the factory coil is a bit muted. The RBA is supposed to be very similar to the Anyvape SegaTank. I will say so far the flavor is good with the RBA. I wouldn't say it is much, if any, better than the SubTank mini, but it does have better airflow, juice control, and top fill. At $29.99 and I had a 10% off code, I didn't figure I could go too wrong!

So far so good. As poor of a wicking job as I did on it, I would have thought I would have problems today. I ran through nearly 2 full tanks at 30 watts and 400 degrees and had no dry hits. I wish one of the smart guys would do a review so I could see how you are supposed to wick it.

Here is my first impressions of the Sauce Code: Manufacturers Description: Worldwide Release of the Project Sub-Ohm™ SauceCode™ BXDC Sub-Ohm Tank is NOW LIVE! #UltimateFlavorTank is Finally Here! Introducing World's Most Advanced Top Filling Technology on the market today, The Dual Action Adjustable Chimney (DAAC) System. The Project Sub-Ohm™ SauceCode™ BXDC Sub-Ohm Tank features a truly leak resistant and spill resistant top filling system that doubles as a dual action juice control system, reinforced steel framing, adjustable quad airflow, bottom crossed dual coil design for incredible flavor, and cross compatibility with the coil Aspire Atlantis Sub-Ohm Tank Series! 100% Solely Designed, Engineered, and Developed in the USA by Project Sub-Ohm™! NOTE: The recommended wattage for SauceCode™ Sub-Ohm Tank BXDC coil is between 10W - 40W. Please fully saturate the cotton when using a brand new BXDC coil. Warning: Never use a short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If unsure whether this pertains to your particular set-up, DO NOT assemble and use. Always use proper precautions and handling. True Leak Resistant Top Fill System - Introducing World's Most Advanced Top Filling Technology on the market today, The Dual Action Adjustable Chimney (DAAC) System. The Project Sub-Ohm™ SauceCode™ BXDC Sub-Ohm Tank was designed with the explicit intent of advancing and reinventing the user experience for the extremely popular Sub-Ohm Tank market. One of the key pivotal features in the design and functionality of the SauceCode™ is the integration of a top filling system that not only makes the filling and refilling of the SauceCode™ easy and convenient, but also pairs with as a dual action juice control system. This system raises and lowers chimney, directly altering the exposure of juice to the wicking elements of the coil. The integration of this technology inherently makes the SauceCode™ leak resistant, as the wicking channels are completely sealed when the top filling cap is screwed off. The top filling cap also features one of the most accessible and largest filling areas of any tank in the market, allowing users to easily pour their desired amount of liquid into the SauceCode™. True Adjustable Juice Control System - The SauceCode™ features one of the most discrete and truly coil independent juice control systems in the market today. The user can directly control and fine tune the raising and lowering of the center chimney by twisting the top cap in the appropriate direction, which in turn increases or decreases the exposure of the coil to liquid. This adjustment can be made without disassembling the tank in any shape or form, making this system completely user friendly and ergonomic. True BXDC Sub-Ohm Coil - Introducing World's First Bottom Cross Dual Coil System (BXDC). First of its kind, the BXDC Coil System utilizes a crossed dual coil design with quad 4mm diameter airflow intake that pair directly with the quad exterior airflow, efficiently using all available airflow space to the direct benefit of the coil structure, greatly improving flavor production and quality. A full barrel diameter of 6mm runs through the entire system, maximizing flavor and airflow. Two distinct types of wicking materials are used within each BXDC Coil System. Density N2, a cellulose wick sourced from France and manufactured by Fiber Freaks, is utilized in the outside wicking elements of each coil due to its properties of faster and more efficient wicking rates. Japanese Organic Cotton is used in direct coil contact for its superior flavor recreation and production qualities. The utilization of this combination of wicking materials is one of the first of its kind in today's market in any aspect, combining the best and most effective qualities of both for the ultimate in user experience and flavor production. (Note: Please fully saturate the cotton before using) True Coil Compatibility - The Project Sub-Ohm™ SauceCode™ is also directly compatible with the Aspire Atlantis Coil Heads, Sense Herakles Coil Heads as well as the Eleaf MELO Coil Heads, giving users the ability to use these coil heads within the SauceCode™ system. This compatibility also can be used in opposite, allowing for the advanced dual wicking and SauceCode™ BXDC heads to be utilized within the Aspire Atlantis and MELO ecosystems (Sense Herakles does not accept BXDC coils from our testing). The SauceCode™ RBA Head can also be used in the Aspire Atlantis, and MELO systems as well. *Please Note: When Utilizing Other, Compatible Coils within the SauceCode, please ensure the contact pin is firmly pressed up to make contact. This is the box it came in Here is what is included: Here are the parts of the tank: Drip tip, Top Cap, Tank Assembly, Factory Coil .3 ohm, RBA section, Bottom/Airflow Controller So far I really like the tank. Windows are a bit small, but juice is still visible. The airflow is massive on this thing. The dual, crossed coils look extremely good, but I have not used it as of yet. The machining is superb. Nearly no machine oil. The drip tip is tiny, too short. The RBA could be a different story. It has both juice channels and holes in the chimney for wicking. The insulator looks a little janky. Like they drilled it off center and it does not fit correctly. The screws are just nearly too small to trap the wire under. Trying to wick this thing is just a guess for me. I did the bunny ears method so the chimney could be tightened. I trimmed them a 1/4 inch above the top caps and tried to stuff them down the sides covering the holes in the chimney, but not the juice channels. I put a 28 gauge Ni200 build in it, 3mm 10 or 12 wraps for .17ohms. I built it above the screws so I would have more room. It is vaping great. I really can't make a real comment on the flavor. It is amazing, but, I put the wrong juice in it. I am Frutti-Tutti in it from Fadora Vapor it is 50/50 18mg/ml. I have been making an attempt to go down in nicotine so I have been cutting my daily juice by 50% with VG. I grabbed the wrong bottle and used the pure Frutti-Tutti. So my flavor comparison is not valid at this time. I will post back in this thread as I use it more.

That thing can be a PITA. I clean mine up good with water, and start by loosening the top, but not removing it. then while they are still together try squeezing as far away from the base as possible to loosen. The problem with the RBA is it is so thin, that when you put pressure on the outside of it to unscrew it you deform it slightly and it will not come apart. I have also had fair luck taking the top cap off and griping the ring by the inside and outside as to not add pressure to the threads. You can't use muscle on them, they are too thin, you have to out smart it.

I tried it and liked it. Mine was 28/28 though. I am having a bit of trouble fitting it into the SubTank mini. I figured out what was so bad with it last time. It turns out that I have the "Monkey *ss" insulators in one of my RBA's. I have plans to try it in this T-VCT. I figured out how to get a fairly large build in it. Now proper wicking is the hard part. I really want to go back to the Lemo 2, but but don't want to loose the airflow. I have the SauceCode coming, but I really don't think it will be any larger. I guess I will wait on the Goliath V2. It has a single coil adaptor...IDK...lol

That is great man! You wouldn't believe how many times I have done that. I have nearly got myself into trouble with backups. You sit there and tell a newbie how to do something, then you run out to your vehicle and give them your backup. This is one reason to have backups to backups...lol

Wow! I am getting a day out of mine also. I am running them in my temp control mod, at 45 watts or less. The funny thing is I rotate 6 Samsung 25R's and 2 of these 2800 mah Efests. I can't tell a difference. I am getting much better performance than my VTC4's. They are all shelved.

I find I make coils much better when hammered! Of course the next morning I rewick and say WTF?

I have the older ipv3. It has been a good mod. I did the 165 watt upgrade when it came out. It also has the door that is screwed on with 2 screws which is a pain. The only things I see that might give trouble with this mod is the 510 connector. They are very good, but if it is dropped with a heavy atty on it they can come loose and you will have to replace it with a Fat Daddys or Varitube one. The original is just pressed in. Here is the upgrate (upgrade) software: Nevermind....It is acting weird and not posting my links...

It seems to take me a few hours for a build to break in. I am on my second tank with my new T-VTC and it is getting better and better! 450 degrees and 45 watts .11 ohms. It is a little slow on the wicking, but I will fix than on the next tank.

I have seen them here at FastTech I am not sure about the quality or that you will get them in a reasonable amount of time. I will keep my eyes open.

I really don't have many clones, but I really don't have a problem with them. One of mine a 4nine clone is great, my other is a G-PAPS clone and it is junk. I have not bought any tanks, but it is just because I have not found a clone of anything I am really wanting. One clone I am interested in at this time is the Geeko rDNA clone. I am told it has the same 60 watt DNA40 clone that my Zero mod has. Wait...my daily driver, my Zero mod is a clone...lol The rDNA clones are getting hard to find because of the Cease and Desist Order that Vapor Shark has put out there (supposedly). With Vapor Shark down to $130 and 15% off this weekend it is tempting, but I really shouldn't buy one because I would be busting my budget. That tells me a lot about the company who sent you the product. A true review should be about the product not the person who provided it (unless they suck too). If you can't be honest the review is worthless. It is no longer a review and is turned into a commercial. They should be happy to know they are supplying a crappy product so they can pull the produce, fire sale it, or seek recourse from the manufacturer. A pissed off customer costs a business much more than some junk inventory.

OBS T-VCT Tank (Caution - Image Heavy)
jasonculp replied to jasonculp's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Thanks Tam! I will post back as I use it more. I need to try the factory coils and see how they work. -
Sorry, we got off topic. The one in the mailbox was the OBS T-VCT. I posted an unboxing in the Reviews section. So far so good. I have not tried the factory coils yet. I will probably buy the Triton when it comes out.

OBS T-VCT Tank (Caution - Image Heavy)
jasonculp replied to jasonculp's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Thanks! It was kind of a PITA. I think it will get easier with more experience (on this tank). I thought I was going to have to go wake my wife up for a 3rd and 4th hand. You forget how easy the SubTank mini is to build on. Something strange, is my settings are so different. I realize I went down in coil size, and up in wraps, but it has really changed things. The ohms are actually showing exactly the same on my mod. I was running the 450 degrees and 30 watts on the SubTank Mini. I have to run this one at 40 watts just to get the 450 degrees. I also have a Project Sub-Ohm SauceCode on the way, and it looks good, but the build deck looks even smaller! The price was right though $29.99 with $3.00 off with a discount code. -
This is just my quick thoughts about the OBS T-VCT. The packaging is amazing. They did a good job making it look professional. The manual is had very good pictures, which is a good thing, because the translation is not great. Here is the packaging: Here is the the tank, which came with 2 vertical coils. The one installed is a .5 ohm and the spare is a .25 ohm. This is the tank disassembled. From left to right: Drip Tip, Top Cap, .5 ohm coil, .25 ohm coil, Airflow Controller/Base, and the Tank/Juice Control. This is a shot looking down into the tank from the bottom. It has a bar across the airflow that is supposed to prevent it from spitting. It seems to work pretty well. This is a shot looking down at the tank with the Top Cap off. The juice holes are large and the other side lets plenty of air out as you fill it. Here is the RBA section, which is purchased separately. Here it is wrapped with 10 wraps of 28 ga Ni200 on a 2.5mm coiler. It is a little tricky to build on coming from a SubTank Mini and Lemo 2. This thing is tiny. I am not sure if I wicked it correctly as I cut the wicks short and made sure they cover the wicking holes in the side of chimney. The chimney just pops into place and has a notch to make sure it is oriented properly. I have not tried the factory coils, I will update later. Pros: Great machining with no machine oil. Top Fill. Holds a lot of juice. (6 ml) Compact size. The tank is not much bigger than a SubTank Mini. Flavor seems great so far. Good airflow. Looks cool with the Alien Head. Base has a huge plated contact for the coil. Cons: This thing came tightened so tight that I thought I was going to tear it up getting it open. Glass is not removable or replicable. Needs knurling on the very bottom ring to help grip when removing the tank.
-
I must be spacing them out too much or something. If I start getting them very wide my legs try to touch the coil when I am securing them under the screws. I can get 10 wraps on my Lemo, pretty easy, but I have a connection issue, and don't care for the airflow.
-
$5 isn't bad, and I too want to try it. I bought a big box of Rayon, that would probably last a lifetime if I wick daily. I also bought a big bag of Muji, KoJenDo and Cotton Labo off of Amazon. I have traded most of it off to other vapors. I could not tell much difference in the 3. I have not run any real tests like Busardo, or Comp has. I will probably pick some up when I have a little more to spend.
-
I wouldn't throw the cotton away, you may need it later. Kangar uses Muji cotton and it is great. It should work fine, but I am not sure if it will be enough different to make up for the price. I have heard it both ways some people say it is the best thing out there, some say it is no different than Japanese Cotton. I actually like Rayon, but have been stuck on Japanese Cotton lately, because is just so easy to work with.
