I no longer feel old (thanks to vaping), but my kids constantly remind me that I worked my way through college by photographing dinosaurs with my "polarock" camera

No time like the present to start stockpiling... a little at a time... new tank here, mod there, battery or two, liter of liquid supplies... and in no time you'll have a nice shelf-full of goodies (and a freezer full too)!
@Adversarious1 I've lost count on my mods and tanks, but I can tell you there are 5 regulated mods (3 TC and 2 VW), a dozen 18650's,  and 15 tanks on my desk at the moment... plus two mechs and a dripper within an arm's reach   I do know there are 2 each unopened TopTank Mini kits and Subank mini kits on the shelf too... not to mention all the things I don't use anymore (or very often), lol.  I make my own juices and have enough PG/VG/flavor supplies to make about 2.5 gal of liquids (and enough Nicotine to make 20 gal of 6mg or less).  Last count of coils exceeded 200 sealed (horizontal 1.2 and 0.5 Ohm ST-mini coils) and plenty of wire to re-build my empty heads or go back to building RBA or RDA coils.
I could use a few more gallons of PG/VG and a few liters of flavorings... and another 1000' of wire, but I think I'm good to go for a few years!

Looks good Shen!  I polished up all my Copper and Brass mechs before putting them away... it's amazing how fast they oxidize even when you haven't touched them in months, lol.  I like a "little" patina, especially on Brass, but man, the Copper starts looking rough if you don't keep it shiny

Vaping has not been around long enough to have any "long term studies" performed, and honestly, if we leave it to any university or government health organization to run those studies, they'll be sure to say that vaping will cause you to grow extra limbs.... because any group that receives federal funding will be sure to espouse the dangers, even if they are 0.0001%, and provide results to sway you towards Federally Approved methods, such as patches, inhalers, gum, drugs (Chantix), etc.... all of which have an extremely LOW SUCCESS RATE and horrible side-effects (in the case of Chantix).
In my humble opinion, and no I'm not a doctor, but I have great experience in healthcare... ANYTHING is better than smoking!  There are some flavor additives such as diacetyl, which give a buttery-flavor, which are not good for you to vape.  Most, if not all, manufacturers have moved away from it, but I'm sure you'll find it somewhere.  I've never heard anything so absurd as "strawberry vape flavors are harmful"... so don't believe everything you read on FB!
As for side-effects... if you think breathing better, feeling better, having greater lung capacity, more energy, no coughing up a lung every morning, and better blood test results than you've had in 30 years is a "side-effect", then yes, they're are side-effects, lol...  Seriously, though, vaping does dehydrate you, so you must drink lots and lots of WATER, and some people have allergies to PG (Propylene Glycol), but they are few and far between.  Vaping isn't for everyone, but even the Royal College of Physicians (UK) has issued paper after paper proving that vaping is AT LEAST 95% less harmful than smoking... and their peer-reviewed numbers are in the 98-99% ranges!
As with anything, do so at your own risk, but millions of ex-smokers who vape (or have vaped) to kick the smoking habit, can't all be wrong with their choice of cessation mechanism!

CA, NY, NJ... and the rest of the 2nd Amendment-oppressed states find it hard to believe the rest of us have 2A "freedom"... without blood running in the streets, lol.
In KY, you take an 8-hour course on the laws and responsibility, and then pass a shooting/proficiency test... Then you are ran through a background check by the State Police and FBI... pay $60 and you have your Conceal Carry Deadly Weapon (CCDW) license within 30 days.  Background check and renewal every 5-years.  Open carry in KY is legal for all citizens over 21 (handgun) or 18 (long gun).
Several other states don't even require a permit for CCDW, and KY has legislation pending for moving to this model for state-residents, but you still have to get a permit for reciprocity in other states.
Sadly... this is why I refuse to go to the left-coast or most of New England (outside of business requirements)... If you don't honor my right to carry, then you don't deserve my tourism dollars

Mine leaked from the air-holes too... because the glass allowed air in (breaking the vacuum seal)... but if it's not your glass or o-rings, the only other possibility is a defect in manufacturing tolerances of the steel portion of the tank...

    Hi Folks,
The FDA has made some policies changes that affect local brick and mortar stores. Previously, retail associates were unable to assist customer in just about any way shape or form due to PTMA guidelines. Naturally, when a customer comes in with a problem and the associate is unable to help, it creates a dangerous situation. (For example, if a customer comes in stating their mod is warm, obviously a battery issue may need addressed asap)
Previously, many vape retailers interpreted the regulations as being such that they could not perform services including changing coils, assembling a device and discussing how it functions, along with performing simple repairs and general troubleshooting.
The FDA has made some updates - Without qualifying a vape shop as a tobacco manufacturer, staff can explain how to use a store product, employees can clean and perform maintenance on a purchased product, they can replace coils with new and identical ones, and they can assemble a product for the customer from the components packaged with the device.
The FDA Is now also allows retail associates to assist customer in refilling their tanks so long as no modifications are made outside of what is recommended by the product's manufacture.

OK...turns out I should have dived a little deeper into the escribe software.  It will do everything for me as far as calculating overall efficiency based on the way I vape.  As an added bonus, it looks like it will also simulate different settings, so I may be able to run simulations based on how others vape so I can make a somewhat educated recommendation to people who are looking at a DNA equipped mod in the future.

It has been a few weeks since I plugged it into the computer, but I'm pretty sure with the escribe software (DNA chip software) I can calculate the average puff length.

I use a Gould & Goodrich holster for my backup duty weapon (Glock 27 because my main is a Glock 22).  It laces directly to my boot so it remains securely in place and after an hour or so I don't even feel it...to the point I actually find myself reaching down frequently to make sure it's still there...lol.  For off duty I have a couple of basic Uncle Mike's holsters, one for large frame semi-automatics and one for small frame semi-automatics.  Both of them serve their purpose fairly decently for me, but I don't think they would work too well with western boots.  In fact, I have actually used an inside-the-waistband paddle holster clipped just behind the bootstrap with western boots and it worked out well.  The boot with the holster was just a tad snug around the calf, but not uncomfortably so.
As far as them feeling like old-school ankle weights, I hear you.  The only one that doesn't is my G&G because it laces directly to my boot.

Yeah, CA is pretty harsh, and it is sad that you have to know someone to get through the system...  It is worse in NYC, where you pay $475 just for the application, only to get denied 99% of the time... unless you are a celebrity or have political connections.
I support and encourage everyone to carry if they so choose, as long as they do so responsibly and getting some advanced training is always a GOOD idea!
As for "panic at the site of a butter knife"...  Well, that is the whole purpose of conceal-carry... nobody knows you have it but you!

That's great. Though I haven't attempted to apply for a CCW as of yet, I've heard around here it's almost next to impossible. I've got a few contacts in the lodge that mentioned they could push one through but given the ridiculous laws in California and the fact that some people hear panic at even the site of a butter knife, I've been hesitant.

On either coast a firearm will have people sitting in corners playing with yoyos and petting ponies.  Anywhere in the center states you're pretty much ok.

Where I live a lot of people have CCW, it varies in Oregon depending on what county you live in, in the county I live in if you pass a background check, and know which end the bullet comes out of, and go to their class you can get a permit.
But most people don't bother with it because open carry is legal here. But its a different story in Portland, and other populated areas in the state where open carry is not legal. Its very common here to see a pickup with a rifle in a rack in the back window. Sometimes you even see a handgun on the dash, but not very often.

@Edna  I do have a couple shoulder holsters (for my larger-frame weapons), but unless I'm wearing my jacket all day, they're useless, and very impractical in warmer weather... much like when I carry OWB and need to maintain a jacket or longer shirt to cover.  I really prefer a jacket over letting my shirt hang outside my pants... I'm a bit old-school in my attire and feel shirts should be tucked into your trousers, lol... I also like crisp collars, silk ties, and cuff-links .  These days (like you) I prefer to carry something light with a spare mag in a belt pouch... LCP, TCP, or Taurus 709, and IWB or belly-band (with shorts and t-shirt) work well for me.  When I carry my CPX2 (under a pound fully loaded), I don't always worry with a spare mag since it's 12+1.
The sling pack is a good idea... I have a medium size messenger bag which I do use when I have a lot to carry... but sometimes you just want to carry "nothing" that doesn't fit in your pockets

We sound a lot alike... I carry a subvod while on my bike too... and usually have a Cloupor mini+, IPV-mini, or 50W Kbox topped with a subtank mini or nano in the tank-bag as a spare/back-up.  I keep a UM20 in each vehicle, and have used them more than once, usually when we're travelling overnight or while on business trips.  I bought a couple of those silicone battery covers that go on a keychain (or jacket pocket) for safe transport, and they are great for a day-trip when you only have single-battery mods    Those eFest 3-battery zipper pouches are perfect size for carrying a battery, spare coil or two, and 10ml bottle of juice... and even a Cloupor mini along with any 18-19mm tank fit perfectly inside one.  They're really handy little pouches and fit well in a pocket or tank bag.
