  1. Dang! You can clean that up, grab yourself a swedish knife file and fix it right up
  2. Drilling stainless is real easy. Just set your drill press to the lowest speed and use cutting fluid. Oh, an old trick that may be common knowledge is using gel flux as a cutting fluid beats out just about anything I have tried. You can drill it with cheap bits. Until you start hitting steels hardened higher on the Rockwell C scale it shouldn't be a problem. A dull bit can cause heat quick though. Just sharpen them by hand. You have to make sure the shoulder behind the cutting edge is lower than the cutting edge. Hope this helps.
  3. So this post is for Kayfun users. I have played with different resistance micro coils in the standard style I was taught and figured out the best wicking for each fluid. I just tried a new way to attach my coil and run my wick. Heres a pic to show IMG_20140620_215139 by Richstag, on Flickr Has anyone tried this way opposed to the slanted way like in this pic image by Richstag, on Flickr Just made it and I centered it and tucked the wicks. I also found a neat way to get the coil as low to the air hole as possible. i just slide a tiny spacer under it and lower it down then remove the spacer. Leaves a very small gap and I can't mess it up as easily.
  4. What is the first piece of advise that wasn't repeated?
  5. It would happen to me when the seal let juice leak down onto the battery contact. If your wicking, airflow and coil is good your battery is probably it. 6. I doubt it's fake but it could be. I had issues with the kick 2 also. Contact the company direct. They have good support.
  7. Yeah, I was about as surprised as it sounds you are.
  8. I had to find the right type of white eraser but once I did the results seem to me as good as an abrasive like sandpaper or buffing compounds.
  9. That is a very interesting outcome. Thanks for sharing it with us
  10. KRG_2333 by Richstag, on Flickr Might as well post this in here as a good visual of how I maintain the outer section. And a small UPDATE stating I spent about an hour with a white eraser cleaning every nook, cranny, thread, contact, tube end, switch every single bit and it all came out FRESH SHINEY BRASS AND COPPER! WOW. Awesome trick here. She is hitting better than new after this treatment. Happy Vaping...
  11. Hey well that's good! Hope it continues to be easy for you.
  12. Honestly bud, figure out the kayfun. It's not hard. If you are tasting cotton at all you are probably using the wrong type. My buddy showed me how to build the authentic kayfun once and it has worked since. He has an aerotank and it doesn't come close. He said the aerotank is dead to him and I agree having tried both.
  13. image by Richstag, on Flickr Here is more what you want for clouds. Dual coil opened air holes. It's insane. But I haven't used it since I got the kayfun. Two different purposes. IMHO.
  14. Yeah but you can still do a ton more vapor than smoke of a cig with a kayfun. I actually backed mine down. If you want to impress your friends just buy an rda.
  15. I wouldn't know. It barely handled 1 ohm.
  16. Try for 1.5 ohm. Your wick doesn't have to match mine. Just so long as it works. The wick I posted a pic of is the thickness and length that worked for the mothers milk which is theick like your VG juice. I do a little thicker for 50/50 and open up the air.
  17. image by Richstag, on Flickr I decided to rewick to show you what mine basically look like.
  18. Thats my problem too. I love RDA's and I love to get my kayfun to make clouds but as an all day smoker converting to a vaporizer I just vape way to much in the day to want so much vapor. I would rather run higher nicotine with less vapor and save my lungs the trouble. I see no point to produce RDA type clouds into my lungs constantly all day long.
  19. I have heard toxins are stored in fat cells and when you start losing fat fast they release in your body and cause some problems.
  20. The coil looks GREAT! I am not sure if its centered perfectly over the air hole or if its as close to the upper deck as possible, but the wraps look great. The wick honestly looks a lot larger than the ones I make. I make mine pretty thin and short. They do swell with the juice.
  21. That is normal from my experience. Usually after I fill from the bottom fill hole it will have a little extra that I burn off real quick. With that said, mine never leaks after the fill excess is cleared. No matter what angle or conditions. Well, it hasn't yet at least
