  1. Guys I like fatdaddyvapes bit I'm repeating what he told me on the phone.
  2. Brass nemesis has some of the lowest voltage and current drop. U would be better off cleaning all contacts and threads and tube ended. IMHO.
  3. Wick longevity really depends on the juice all else equal. Sugary will destroy coils and wicks quick. We'll burn off the coil and rewick. But u know what I mean. I could not stand sugary juice in kayfun.
  4. I run .38 ohm and love it. I go back to higher and it's not the same. .38 isn't crazy but I still treat it with respect. I never thought I would have more than a Blu. Step by step I moved and can't go back. One huge downside is the atrocious amount of juice. Oh and I found for popping wick tighter and coil to air bent placement is key. I can get smooth no popping it's awesome. Don't wick as tight and or move those coils slightly different from the vents and oh yeah pop bang crack. Not enjoyable IMHO.
  5. Yeah nothing was wrong with the magnets. They were just a big downgrade. The king is not designed to be run with magnets. That's from the maker
  6. I wouldn't screw with it. I got magnets from there for my king mod. The guy said most of this stuff is for clones. It didn't work well. Sure fire told me no magnets. Not designed for it but they did send me silver contacts and springs. You bought quality stick with it. Your downgrading with fatdaddyvapes from what I've found.
  7. One thing I found helps wicking with any rba/rda and cotton is to cut it out in parallel strands. Find the way the cotton is stranded and snip a section. Pull it away with the strands parallel. Then cut out what you want. Wick as normal from here. With dual coils to keep consistent wicking cut wicks from the same length of cotton. This keeps it the same.
  8. Cool. Please let us know how it holds up. I love the look.
  9. That's what I was thinking. Or a real thick grease.
  10. I think it looks very cool. My brass king gets a lot of patina going on but honestly comes back to dull brass from use. How did you keep from corroding the threads?
  11. Quick pics. Had to cut 11 acres didn't have time for better. image by Richstag, on Flickr image by Richstag, on Flickr image by Richstag, on Flickr image by Richstag, on Flickr Still nice and clean inside, and functions better than ever. It looks much worse in person and theres a ton of gouges and dents I didn't take the time to photograph. The bottom ring it no longer round either. It all function well. The cap is a little trickier on and off since the well is bent badly, but it still seals and seats properly.
  12. You can also look at jmk tips. Less expensive and similar.
  13. Mvince. Thanks man. Yeah it's was a crappy morning. Can't wait to see your next cap. Bush it's a sumo v2. They make stainless too. Gave one to my buddy. That got dinged up too. It all did. Oven the drip well hot mangled and deformed hitting the second wall after the cap flew off. I like it even more now though. It takes a beating. Got silver contacts and springs too. It's now a beater looking thing but it performs awesome. Kind of a sleeper now.
  14. I am deathly allergic to bees. Kind of the anti-superhero syndrome with bee stings you know. Got stung so much growing up I became allergic. Woke up groggy one Sunday and walked out with my bottle of juice, mech and coffee and some prehistoric monster hornet came to murder me. I went in and then came back out pick up my mech and juice in my hand and it came back tried to sting me so I swatted it as hard as I could but also the mech and juice went flying full speed right into a brick wall and then bounced into another brick wall. Its pretty smashed up. Tomorrow I will take a picture and also the all together finish air holes. I just took quick pics to show the process. Love to see how yours worked out.
  15. My mech smashed into a brick wall and got pretty banged up and so did my patriot. Decided it was time to bore out the holes. Here is a quick process I figured out tonight to make it look like a pro. Grind out countersunk hole. Tried countersunk bit and it wasn't as clean. image by Richstag, on Flickr Buff off raised burrs from grinding. image by Richstag, on Flickr Buff out inside bore and walls for machine finish. image by Richstag, on Flickr Easy as that. Took two minutes.
  16. Man, i was noticing just the opposite. My buddy kept saying I had an iron throat and he couldn't believe watching me take RDA monster hits with 24mg juice. I didn't even feel it. Then I quite smoking and in just the two weeks I feel like 12mg is more of a throat hit than 24 when I was still smoking. I felt like my throat has gotten more sensitive.
  17. Oh for sure. But I did the airflow too. So I'm guessing it's either the larger coil, the wick, or the combo of both. I will give it another try when I need to rebuild the kayfun. I haven't touched it In the last few days though. The new patriot has really grown on me. Dripping and driving yikes. Thank you.
  18. I am wrapping on a blunt tip syringe for my kayfun. What diameter are you running? I will have to look into the silica rope. Although I love the cotton, just couldn't get it comfortably under about 1.3ohms. It would work, but not for chain vaping.
  19. I put this in the wrong thread. The mech only has one spot of insulation at the main firing pin. If alcohol degrades it that would be sad to me, but hey, you never know...
  20. I posted this in the wrong thread. They blend in my head. Just took a look at it. It has two rubber washer style seals. Looks super easy to make just need to know out of what and be able to match thickness.

  22. If the Evolv brand kick fits it will work. You can also just build your coil to give you that actual wattage. I tried a kick and it didn't fit.
  23. Idk how your getting it to wick at 1ohm or below. I tried a ton. What's your secret? I use cotton, tried it every way imaginable and went down to 50/50.
  24. Maybe you could make your own and tap out the atty and thread up a 510 connecter. Tap and die kit. IDK otherwise.
