  1. For me the difference in 12 and 18 mg nicotine is like night and day. And if I want to micro adjust I do that with my tanks personally, if not I'd have some 24 mg in my vape box just in case (that I carry around everywhere)

The addict in me likes knowing its there even if I never use it, and I vape because I enjoy it, and I'd use any nicotine necessary and for now I don't plan on stepping down, I'm happy and enjoying my past time :)

  2. Hey there's a cloud chaser with a mech mod in the B-Roll footage lol. Horrible article for us though, the spin's not in our favor. I admit, I like being known as a rebel in the Wild Wild West of vaping (made pow pow noises and blew on my finger instinctively when I typed that)

  3. Do you know if it was cross threaded when it was screwed on? Or did it go on real easy without tension until it was screwed all the way down?

Have you removed the battery? If you've removed the battery you can try warming that connection ever so slightly and tapping it very gently against something soft like the palm of your hand around all sides until it breaks lose.

Use a towel or something if you need to so you can get a good grip on it.

  4. So pretty straight forward question here. I just bought a new liquid so i put it in my tank (aspire nauti) , using same head as previous liquid. I only have one spare head left right now. I want to switch out heads because i can still taste a bit of the old liquid (which tasted like an air freshener). But i dont want to be left with no heads if this one i put in goes bonkers on me. Is there a way i can just clean off this head, let it dry and re use it with no old flavor repercussions?

Get some 91% alcohol from walgreens and lil tuppermaid container, babyfood jar, anything with a lid. Rinse it under water then drop it in there to soak. After a few hours (I soak mine overnight but most people say a few hours) rinse it REALLY good with water and let it dry.

After it's totally dry (maybe 24 hours or so) drop a few drops of liquid you're going to use into the coil, then screw it in place. Fill your tank with liquid, stand it upright and let it stand about 5 or 10 minutes to soak up all that goodness and let her rip. She'll be good as new.

You can also use pure white vodka, everyone but me and my OCD seems to have way more vodka than rubbing alcohol lying around. I recommend 91 % because I use it, someone else will have to help with the vodka if that's what you prefer to use.

Also, since you used a container with a lid, you can reuse the alcohol. You can soak other vaping stuff in it the same way, just make sure to rinse it thoroughly because you don't want to vape alcohol or burn that taste into your wicks, but between rinsing under the sink and it evaporating I've never had a problem with it residing after its been rinsed and dried.

I would order a pack of coils though if you haven't, if you clean them they will last a while, but not forever. They're cheap online, unless you get lucky and they're affordable at a brick and mortar store near you.

  5. Scrap 3/4" Pine board (cut 7" x 5"), and a $0.49 Pine "dice" from the local craft-shop.

I trimmed the edge with a router, then drilled space for seven (five in front of the cube, one on either side of it) 510-base tanks, using an 8mm (or 5/16") drill bit. Centered between the five 510-tank slots are four 9/16" holes for eGo threaded tanks (my KPT3 minis and EVODs) in the front row. Things looked a little "off" in the front, so I added holes for two drip-tips, one on either side. The cube has four 9/16 holes drilled for 14mm eGo batteries. Light Oak stain and two coats of semi-gloss polyurethane... Took an hour, start to finish (not counting drying time, which it's still a bit tacky 12 hours later).

Well it's not exactly the large rack I had in mind but it's beautiful.

  6. I'm sure I can get a nice all SS octopus or squid type rda with some organic cotton wick and be dripping pretty nicely on the itaste vv v3 and if I build my coil 2.0 ohms and set the itaste to 3.4 ohms everything should be ok?

Yes you should be fine, I think that's a typo above though and you meant to say 3.4 volts, and the voltage experts can comment on that.

I use organic cotton balls from CVS or Walgreens, both places near me carry them, one is called "Studio Beauty" or "Studio 35 Beauty" and the other brand is "Organic Essentials".

They were $3 at CVS and $3.99 at walgreens, a bag lasts a few months to a year, I am sort of wasteful with my cotton balls, I"ll pull out a chunk to make a wick and then throw away stuff i pull off that could probably make a few more wicks, or sometimes throw away the whole rest of the cotton ball.

My first month or so using the organic cotton balls I didn't "wash" them. I've read arguments both ways about it being needed. I boiled a bag in distilled water this weekend, I don't want to get too off topic with that so if you want to know about it shoot me a PM.

I have an innokin MVP and it rocks out a Kayfun at around 2 ohms, although the battery in the vv3 is smaller and has different power specs.

Definitely get the ohm meter, not just for safety but it will help you build your coils soooooo much better. It really takes it from being a hassle to being a breeze in my opinion. I tried using a multimeter at first, it was a real pain in the butt compared to the ohm meter that cost me around $14 with shipping.

Check out lightning vapes for your Kanthal A-1 wire and ohm meter. If you want to experiement with smaller quantities of wire, check Fadoravapor.com. I bought some Kanthal from popular online shops and paid about as much per foot as Compenstine sells 3 feet or 6 feet for I believe. It's been a few days since I realized how cheap it was on his site and I can't remember which it was.

Sweet-Vapes.com also has the ohm meters including the smok-tek omni tester which is really nice.

  7. I came in here to say it sounds like potassium deficiency is a good theory after reading your posts. I started reading about PG/VG allergies and such, which led me to some posts and articles Rip Trippers had commented on. I checked his youtube and there's a video, I think it's the one titled "Vaping Side Effects" or something like that.

He discusses his process of having leg cramps and meeting with medical professionals, tests he had, and how it turned out to be potassium he was needing. I'm not saying that's your problem, but it's worth watching that video and considering it.

NOTE: I think this is the video of his, I'm working and can't watch it to confirm it's the potassium topic'd one.

I can also add, when I first quit smoking and started vaping, I had some dehydration issues. It's REALLY strange for me to say that. I drink water like a camel when it gets to a river except I drink like that 24/7. I don't know if because I was vaping I was just not picking up my tasty beverage of ice water as much, I think it might be that I drank enough water but didn't drink it at a consistent level throughout the day, Since I started vaping I have to remember to drink water consistently not just when I get to a stopping point at work or when I get home in the evenings.

  8. That's awesome JerryJoe, welcome to the darker side of the dark side. Isn't it nice being able to tag team flavors and juices whenever you want?

Tam got me into dripping too, and now my girlfriend's got the itch to drip. I'll soon be ordering a .357 I'm just waiting on my drip shield, I'm using RDA's at the moment but I want the 510 attys for convenience and flavor swapping.

One of my first PM's exchanged was with Tameiki and she got me started dripping (ok rewrote that sentence 4 times and it still sounds naughty, I give up)

So she's the one you all have to blame for me sticking around, she was just so helpful.

  9. I see you got two grape and two strawberry. Then four watermelon. I'm curious are you trying different nic vg/pg combos or do you just really like comps watermelon.

that didn't sound as good when I re-read through it :blushing:

I really like Comps watermelon, he's got great melons and knows how to use em! I've probably got or had 40 or 50 bottles now from a lot of companies, his watermelon is my favorite 24/7 juice followed by the other two.

I have experimented with different PG/VG and flavor boost/sweetener combinations from Comp, I've worn the poor guy out.

I've tried several PG/VG mixtures, different sweetener levels and flavor shots added etc. I learned 50/50 PG/VG is my preference, pay for extra flavoring and no added sweetener shots, and to tell compenstine to make my flavor on the strong side but use his judgement on the amount to add.

I have a Craft Vapery subscription so I get to vape a lot of expensive juice, so when I say Comps is my favorite ADV, it's not said lightly. I've never been a pawn or fanboy, but when discussing vaping I can't help but mention how Compenstine has helped me nail down flavors I love and really is an expert craftsman.

  10. Oops I just realized these threads were seperate. I've been wondering who kept changing the thread titles between this and bump when you buy something new.

I got this in vapemail today and I'm thrilled :)

I saved about $25 on my favorite juice, and I'm getting ready to wrap some flavor coils! Jennifer will be home later and ill have everything I need ;) This cake batter will really get her in the mood I bet.

Thank you compenstine for the deal and making all this juice so fast!

  11. there is an online vendor World of Vape that is selling the Nautilus for $24-$25. wasn't sure about their reputation so I got mine with all the other stuff I ordered from Kidney Puncher.

Yeah I gave $22 online when I caught a sale with a reputable online vendor. I've run across them lots of places in that price range, but I read the online vaping version of "the sales papers."

I'm running a stainless tank with polycarbonate viewing window on mine. I could have gotten a Kayfun for about the same as this setup, but they serve different purposes. The Nautilus is always ready to go, when I get home and break down the kayfun, I grab the Nautilus. When I'm working and run out of juice in the Kayfun the Nautilus comes out. For no reason at all I grab the Nautilus, it just makes a good second tank.

It's like comparing apples and boots. Each has it's own purpose. Also if I have a juice on the strong side flavor wise, I can put it in something like the Nautilus which takes the edge off but produces great vapor.

I'm thinking I might have bought some fake Kanger Protanks and Protank Coils from my brick and mortar store. I don't think he'd sell fakes on purpose but I think his supplier may have pulled a fast one on him. I'm planning to order an aero tank solely because of PBusardos video I saw last night, I had decided against getting one right now until I saw that video.

  12. Fadora Cake Batter in the Nautilus. I made a boo boo on last night's kayfun build which I loaded with strawberry, and it's a bit gurgly. I used more cotton than usual, I'm pretty sure that's the problem. I tried to vape down a whole tank this morning so I can rebuild it, and I started burping strawberries, so I switched to the Nautilus for a bit.

  13. "Out For Delivery" on two of the packages that I just tracked...

There's a lot of anticipation, one of the boxes will be a surprise. I placed an order on April 16 and the company shipped a partial order because the other stuff was backordered with their supplier or wasn't in stock.

I finally got the email that they shipped the rest of my order and I decided not to ruin the surprise by looking at the invoice to see what was on the order. I think there's an Aspire Nautilus because I remember trying to decide if I should wait for it. Funny enough I'm vaping on a Nautilus now.
