I can't say for sure if your auto switch has the amp draw to make it worthwhile but you should try a SmokTech 1.7 ohm prepunched single coil carto in that pipe. I use them in my mech switch pipe with tank and they work great. Oh and I use IMR 18350 batts in mine and get about 4 hrs/1.25 tanks per batt before the vape drops off too much and I need a recharge.

OK I'll try one more angle to try to get through that tin foil hat. You do have a point,it's been shown in the past that mis-use of a product can cause restrictions on that product.However just because you participate in something doesn't give you the right to decide how everyone else gets to participate.That should be decided by a majority. Comps are not necessarily bad if there are reasonable safety rules in place.There will ALWAYS be Darwin award candidates who push the limits and YOU will never change them. Vaping is now seen as a revenue source by big corp and big gov so it's already going to be regulated and taxed but even if it's banned there is enough info on this site alone for people who are determined to keep vaping to do so. And by the way,if you're treated like crap for doing something you shouldn't judge the actions of others who do it. Maybe it's just your attitude about it since I and a lot of others have had good reactions from the public in general and even the local police.

Unless you have an ohm meter to check your coils,I would say start out low and work your way up until you get a slight burnt taste then back it down a notch. That way you can work between the low and too high settings to find your flavor and vapor sweet spot.

The only similarity between those two batts. is the way they connect to a charger. The 510CC seems to be larger diameter,has a diff. cone connection and runs at lower voltage.Plus it's a manual batt. I can't remember the output of the eroll charger but I don't think they would match up anyway due to the difference in size. The 510CC looks like a decent kit but at 3.3 volts and only 150 or 280 mah getting a good hit might be a problem since the batts. aren't big enough to use LR coils to good effect. ymmv

or maybe ya just need to hit the button five times fast to turn the batt. back on hehehehe

The amount of air draw the new batt allows could maybe cause that. You might try setting it at ~3.8 and blocking air holes to see if that helps. That and checking the voltage like Bebop said may help.

I think you're looking at this from the wrong angle. It's widely known that a percentage of school age kids smoke so there's nothing sensitive about that.The fact that he is now of legal age and sees vaping as a better alternative is a positive in my book. If the reporter just presented those facts without trying to present vaping in a bad light then this is a vaping success story IMO. Unless there's something more that the reporter said that makes vaping look bad,that you didn't tell us,then this seems like a legit way to tell the public that no matter when you started smoking there is an alternative way to get your nic and that it can be better for you. You just need to be of legal age to get it.

It may help if you clean all contacts for the charging system but it does kinda sound like a batt failure
