  1. Like I said in another thread I love twisted micro coils. For my KPT2 I use a 5/64 mini screwdriver, 32g A1 kanthal wire, and make 8 wraps. It comes out to 1.4-1.5 ohms. I normally stay within that range as I use a kick2. One day I will venture into the sub ohms, obviously without the kick.
  2. Personally I love the ritual of making my own coils. I LOVE making coils. For me this is my Zen moment.
  3. I've been playing with twisted micro coils with success in my KPT 2. 8 wraps of twisted 32g on a 5/64 mini screwdriver comes out to 1.4-1.5 every time for me. Loving it!
  4. I only have 2 in my rotation but I will buy at least another 2. I love them now that I have gotten into building my own micro coils with cotton wicks for them. They work and taste flawless and provide huge clouds for me.

    Twik

    This twik is very interesting.
  6. Welcome to the forum. You will absolutely love this place. Its been a great help to me and I'm certain everyone else. Good luck.
  7. I own a Zmax v3 and even though I have never dropped mine it is beginning to have firing issues associated with the fire button. Its not just you spydre. It happens often enough now that I have stopped using mine over the past couple of days. Anyone out there that I have recommended the Zmax v3 to please take note of this problem. I can no longer recommend this item due to this problem unless its get resolved by the manufacturer. That being said, many thanks to Vaportalk and its members for always recommending to have spares of everything. In this case not a spare Zmax but a completely different device.

  9. Looks very interesting but definitely a fingerprint magnet. I love the adjustable vv / vw wheel over having to click a button for adjustments. Like Aquatroy I will probably wait until a few hit the streets and additional colors come out for it. It has the potential to be my first box mod.
  10. I dont know anything about Vapor Break, however if you look at the bottom firing button on the nemesis clone offered from Vapor Break compared to the one offered from Fasttech they appear to be completely different. Most of the forums that I have read, buyers are buying from Fasttech (not that they are any better). Vapor Break is another chinese company. I'm just saying be careful and do your research properly. I wouldn't worry too much about the $6 that you would save if you or anyone else can't vouch for Vapor Break. NOTE: I could be completely wrong here and if I am I apologize in advance.
  11. I just ordered the Nemesis clone from fastech and waiting for its arrival. It's got good reviews as being one of the best if not the best clone on the market to date. http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10005773/1448300-nemesis-mod-e-cigarette-battery-compartment I also have the EHPro Electric Angel clone that I bought from ebay for $75 and its frigging awesome (my daily user). Just be aware that there is another clone of this that is not the same. Good luck. edit: as far as your selection. Sorry I dont have any experience with any of those but perhaps someone else will chime in.
  12. If your looking into variable voltage and variable wattage the Sigelei Zmax is pretty awesome and will not break the bank. I dont have the Innokin MVP V2 but from what I read its a solid unit that can do everything that the Zmax can. If your possibly looking to get into mechanical mods, possibly with a "Kick" (small device that fits into some mechanical mods that makes it into a variable wattage device) and want to toy with eventually rebuilding attomizers, then you might turn towards a clone of some type if you dont want to break the bank. Many clone mods are in the $30-$75 range. Mechanical mod clones that come to mind is the EHPro Electrical Angel mod (great review and one that I use daily), or the new Nemesis clone (I just ordered from Fastech), or the KTS telescopic storm, or even possibly something like the Silver Bullet which is a very solid and time proven mod that takes a kick. Please do keep in mind that there are a couple accessories that you would need if you go this route (batteries and a charger). Good luck. I'm sure you will find something that suits your needs. Never feel shy to ask questions because everyone here does an awesome job at helping. Take that from someone that still a newb and learning every day. edit: If you do get into a mechanical mod please read up on how to use them properly.
  13. I just picked up the Nemesis clone $29.08 from Fasttech.
  14. I can attest that steeping works. When I first tried Bobo's bounty from avejuice I thought it was horrid and I almost gave away 100ml. But now after a month I'm chain vaping it and I can get enough. If I could eat it I would, that's how great it tastes to me now.
  15. I really liked the last question: Vaping's Biggest Supporter? Answer: Myself (with as much money I have spent I had to be a little cheeky).
  16. Haha I like the way you think spyder! I totally hope so.
  17. I spend a lot of time scouring the web for devices. I recently spent a lot of time (because I want another device) deciding whether or not I want variable wattage or variable voltage or both. The pro's and con's of each and what would best fit my vaping style. I know first hand that my Zmax V3 (vv &vw) although a great device (under $100) just doesn't hit as hard as my full on mechanical mod Electric Angel clone (around $75) with a kick (small device that adds vw / regulates the mech mod under $50). So the decision is easy for me personally. I prefer a mechanical device with a kick. Keeping all that in mind I just bought a Silver Bullet ($85) with a kick ring ($25) and a couple of extra batteries ($19 ea) and the new kick 2 ($45ish). From reviews I've read the Silver Bullet is extremely durable (great for adventurous work in Iraq) and time proven. It is a mechanical mod, but with an electric switch (someone will probable correct how I put that). So all I'm saying is try to decide what best suits your needs. Are you going to be far from a power source if your battery device dies (what size battery will you want), what kind of spare parts might you need, do you just want something simple thats basically plug and play (vision spinner with vv, great device by the way), or are you willing to learn the ins and outs of having a mechanical mod etc (as there is a slight learning curve) or a device that has both vv and vw (little leaning curve as well). My best advice apart from listening to me rant on is to take time and figure out what will suit your particular needs and spend some quality time on youtube reviewing. A couple of sites I frequented are: http://www.vaportekusa.com/ http://www.vaporlabsonline.com/Vaporizers_c_20.html http://www.e-savuke.com/en/ecig_mods.htm Happy hunting and good luck Mrwaylon. edit: I forgot all about tanks. Personally all I basically use is a Kanger Protank 2 and Viva Nova's. I do have one genesis rsst (RBA) but still mostly play with it to learn more about it. Both the kanger and nova perform great for me so I dont personally dont feel the desire to buy very expensive, top notch rebuildables (I rebuild the kanger's and nova's (both are well under $50).
  18. I just bought a Silver Bullet (silver vein color), matching kick ring, 2 AW 18650's (3100 MaH), and the wait for it...........new Kick 2. Yay. Cant wait to go home and fire it up.
  19. Thanks Rixter and Imedic. I thought the same thing also but had to confirm. I was getting a burnt taste when I would change atty's that had different ohm ratings and different juices. I guess I just have to take better note to what juices perform better and at what wattages. Is the reason for the sometimes burnt taste because of a different juice not liking a higher watt setting than the previous juice? Imedic, the battery thing you mentioned is a first time I heard of that. I have to admit that I have just pulled a fully charged battery and put it directly into my mod. I will take care about that in the future.
  20. Hello all, Quick question for you. When using my kick by evlov do I need to turn down the wattage when I put in a fresh battery? If so, then when would it be ok to crank it back up again? I like to vape at 8 watts for most of my juices. It just seems to me that when I do not lower the wattage a bit that sometimes I begin to get a burnt taste. I honestly thought that I would not need to adjust it as in my understanding it is supposed to automatically adjust itself to avoid that. As usual thanks in advance. DG
  21. I started off with a V2 ecig kit. I used it for a couple of months but it was doing nothing for me and I went back to analogs until I saw a friend smoking a joytech ego-c. I then bought the ego-c and have never touched another analog. After a few months I moved onto a vision spinner with an SVT Nova tank. Gave the vision spinner to my wife and am now using an electric angel clone, zmax v3, and a KTS telescopic storm. I continue to use SVT nova tanks but also use a kanger protank 2 and an rsst genesis all of which I now rebuild.
  22. Successfully made my first ss mesh wick for my KPT2. I used 500 ss mesh with 32ga kanthal and a 5/4 wrap and topped it off with a little silica flavor wick. Came out to exactly 2.0 ohm. I couldn't be more pleased. It vapes wonderfully and the taste is spot on. Rebuilding these tanks is way better than they come original. Thanks for bringing this up or I would not have known to try a mesh wick.
  23. Great rebuttals. I'm hearing a lot from the local population in Iraq that their doctors are telling them that vaping is dangerous because of the fluid that you are putting in your lungs. My response: Never take a hot steamy shower, sit in a sauna or hot tub if thats the case. Go figure huh?
