  1. Hey, I'm just glad you got the thing to work. So, the replacement tank section made the difference? I'm going to be looking for the V2, but will make sure it's out for a while to see if they fixed the kinks. You didn't say in your update how you liked it, though. What's the prognosis?
  2. You only have to post your question once. Someone should come along shortly to answer your question. I've deleted your other post.
  3. The iSub G tank's coil has organic cotton in it so it's most likely (like Rich said), that you burnt the wick. Once burnt, you can't get the taste completely out so you'll definitely want to be changing out the coil as soon as you can.
  4. Try the big hammer, Rich. That usually does it for me.
  5. I'm with Rich, didn't know you could pull it apart that far. lol
  6. Done.
  7. What resistance is your coil? Also, and more important, you say you're using 70/30 juice. The first number is usually the amount of PG in your juice (unless otherwise noted). PG is generally what gives you throat hit and is the flavor carrier. The 30 VG is where you get a smoother vape, slightly sweeter, and the vapor production. If you were to go with a 30/70 (30 PG/70 VG) mix, that will give you more vapor.
  8. Yep. @Christopher -- it chat not on the mobile site yet?
  9. You better bring a whole wheelbarrow full of rolls of dimes. I'm taking a short break while fixing dinner right now, no time to get into chat.
  10. I should make you take me shopping then. On your dime.
  11. Vision Spinner II have a strange little glitch when charging. They will show they are fully charged in a short amount of time. Undo the battery from the charger then put it back on the charger again, it should show it to start charging. From what many of us have found, we've all had to do this with our Spinner II to get a full charge: Put it on the charger, wait 10 - 15 minutes, take it off the charger, put it back on and then wait for the charging cycle to complete. If that doesn't do it, I would suggest going back to your B&M to get an exchange.
  12. See what happens when you're away for a while, Tug? You miss fun stuff that's come out. Look at the bottom left corner, you should see Live Vape Hangouts. Click on that, or if you want to do a one to one chat, on the bottom right, click on "chat now" and it'll show you who's around.
  13. I went into the chat room and stayed for an hour or more but Cany wouldn't talk to me...
  14. Aw... I'll chat with you, Cany.
  15. On average around $20 or so.
  16. She'll love you, it's called 'job security'.
  17. Glad you got it straightened out.
  18. Your "issue" is that you just started vaping not too long ago and there are way too many choices of everything out there these days. It makes getting started much harder to do for a new vaper. That said, I'm going to make some "easy" recommendations for you. Get either a Kanger Pro Tank 2 or a Kanger Pro Tank 3 mini. The first is the full sized tank and the second is a smaller version of it. With this tank go with a 1.8 ohm single long stem coil (at least a 5-pack). The Kanger Pro tanks and minis are solid workhorses yet simple to use. They're great for beginners and won't break the bank. Then, once you get settled on the tank, you need to go juice hunting. If you're testing flavors at your local B&M, ask them what nic level (if any) are in the testers. Why are you at 3 mg of nic? Just curious. Most former smokers who went through about a pack a day usually go for 18 - 24 mg of nic to get them off cigarettes. Once that is done, they may gradually lower the nic level. Too much too soon sees many going back to cigarettes. There's really nothing bad about nicotine other than being addicting. Yes, it's a cardiovascular dilator. So is caffeine. It's the 4000+ carcinogens in the cigarettes that are bad for you. Vaping is less harmful (notice I did not say "completely safe"). You can also buy small batches of samplers that are relatively inexpensive. For trying a lot of different flavors I like EC Blends. They sell 5 ml bottles and customize to whatever you want. Select the flavor, the nic level, the PG/VG level (if you're not sure, go with a 50 PG/50 VG to start), stay away from adding any extra flavorings in the beginning so you can figure out what you like and what doesn't do it for you. A 5 ml bottle will cost around $2.50 with any additions to add a little more. Use coupon code: 10020 for 20% off the order. Go a little nuts and find out what rocks your socks off.
  19. I'm trying so hard to only get the "needs" these days. The "wants" needs to take a back seat until I can get everything reorganized and paid forward so I can make more room...
  20. Great idea and even better execution!
  21. I should probably clarify that I was talking about iQuit's link to the vid below and not about the OP when I said "that guy's going to blow his face off."
  22. The iStick 20W is notorious for not being accurate when reading coils' resistance and also for not being accurate with the temperature output, which is why I had you change it from watts to voltage mode. The voltage mode, while not completely accurate, is still closer than the wattage. As you vape longer on a coil, the resistances will change a little (although I wouldn't trust the 20W as much), due to gunk build up on your coil from the juices. This is normal. Read through threads on this forum, you'll learn a lot of stuff about vaping even if you don't understand it all at first. Ask lots of questions, our members are friendly, helpful sorts around here.
  23. Sorry, I'm not familiar with Panzers but most 18650 batteries put out around 3.7V on a full charge. With 2.5 ohm coil, that's quite a bit of resistance. On a mechanical mod and using a stock coil, you'd be better off with a 1.5 ohm or 1.8 ohm coil instead.
  24. 20 mg of nic will give a pretty hard throat hit. If your juice is also higher in PG, that will only add to it. Then, depending on the flavor, that could also cause it to give a kick. Something like peppermint, something high in citric acid or cinnamon (like red hots candies), will also add to the harshness. More VG in a juice will smooth it out, but be careful with VG, too much and it will be too thick to wick properly, which will also cause dry hits and... harsh vapor. The most I'd use in the KPT 2 would be a 30PG/70 VG, and that's pushing it a bit. If you're using the 20W with a 2.5 ohm coil, switch it over to voltage and then turn it down as far as it will go. That should help it some.
  25. When you say you have an Eleaf iStick v1, are you talking about the iStick 20W, iStick 30W, iStick 50W or the 40W TC (temperature control)? The 20W doesn't read the temperature correctly in watts and even in voltage mode, it tends to run hotter than what the screen says. The others are more accurate. If you're using the 20W, switch over to voltage mode and set it as low as it will go. Vape. If that doesn't do it for you, turn it up just a little, vape. Continue to go up slowly until you get a slight burnt flavor or a harsh vape. Turn it down a notch. That's your sweet spot for that juice. The KPT2 is a very good tank and is a good, solid set up in general, especially for someone who is new to vaping. Another thing that could cause the "burning" of your throat (what we call "throat hit"), is how much PG is in your juice. More PG, more throat hit. More nicotine, more throat hit. What is the level of nic and PG/VG ratio in the juice you're using?
