Vaping is a very personal thing. What one person likes, it won't be the right fit for another. We all like different things for different reasons, that's what makes our discussions fun and informative, but you need to try it for yourself to see if it will work well for you. That said, personally, I don't care for the sub-ohm tanks. They tend to run too warm for my preference because I prefer a cooler vape. My battery/tank/coil combination that's working for me right now is the Eleaf iStick 50W (no separate batteries), an Aspire Triton 2 tank with 1.8 ohm coils. Like Earthling said, there have been issues reported with the iStick 50W's button firing by itself, especially when charging. In my experience, I haven't had that problem, but I never charge the battery unattended, always take the tank off when charging, turn off the battery when not vaping/carrying it around. Right now I have nine of these in rotation. Yes, I like them a LOT! Take a look around the forum and read past threads, they are full of helpful information.

Good morning, Rixter! What do you do with the slow cooker? Put in enough water to cover the 357s and put on low or high? I'm very curious about this method, although I've finally gotten away from using the 357s as my main since the Triton 2 came out.

Don't mind Jeff, he's just a little disgruntled because he couldn't get a contract to go pro... they said something about his technique not being up to par. Anyway, welcome to Vapor Talk.

You're too funny.

Thank you. See? That wasn't so hard, was it.

Okay, guys, enough with the geek. You still haven't answered his question: which battery would he be better off with if he should buy the RX200 (I think that's the mod he was considering). If he's not planning to go sub-ohm or micro-sub-ohm, what's the bigger bang for the buck and still give him some playing around room?

Flavor can also have something to do with throat hit at times. Anything with menthol, mints, candy cinnamon, and some citrus seems to have more throat hit with same PG level than other flavors to me. Bakery flavors and some chocolates are the smoothest from my experience.

No one needs a super high powered mod, but if you truly want one, we just want to make sure you know what you're doing with battery safety so you don't get hurt. It's a lot like no one really needs a Lamborghini, but if you really wanted one and had the money for it, we would suggest special driving courses to keep you safe.

More PG = more throat hit More nicotine = more throat hit More VG = less throat hit So, when you went from 70 PG down to 50 PG, the throat hit lessened. You probably noticed that you get more vapor now? More VG = more vapor.

There's always this one...

Not boring at all, not to me anyway. I learn so much from you guys!

Jason and Earthling? I love it when you two get wound up and start talking geek.
-
Why do you "need" it to be that powerful? What do you plan to use with it? Just curious.

We have very informed members.

Sounds also like you might want to look into getting a new mod.

Ah, so I'm not the only one who's had issues with them. VapeNW has been a good vendor so that's a great alternative.

There is no such thing as having too many back ups. Ever.
-
Sounds about right if something goes wrong with more than a few.

Funny that you mentioned that. Today, I got so busy I couldn't get a break to vape for over four hours under heavy stress (last day before new semester starts on Monday and there was a crapton of stuff that had to be finished)... and it didn't faze me at all. No one got maimed, I didn't even get the urge to mangle anyone... even a little bit.

Good for you, Jason, I'm glad you had enough back ups to see you safely home without having to go into roadrage due to not having what you needed.
