  1. Two more Aspire Triton 2 and four more 5-packs of 1.8 ohm coils came in the vape mail today from Mt. Baker Vaper. This makes a total of seven Triton 2 tanks (four in rotation and the rest are back ups just in case). Got a 10 ml of free juice from Mt. Baker Vaper called Vanishing Oatmeal Treats that smells... intriguing... and yummy. I'm curious if the juice tastes as good as it smells (it smells like a fresh baked oatmeal cookie with hints of cinnamon). So far I've not liked any of the juices from this vendor even though I've really wanted to -- this might be the one to change my mind. And I think I've taken to getting back ups a little too much to heart. I don't need to buy anymore coils for the Triton for quite some time. The four 5-packs I got today? Didn't realize that I had eight stashed in a drawer. This brings the total to twelve 5-packs. We have now officially ventured into the "hoarder" zone.
  2. Better to ask questions and be sure than to just guess and be sorry. You're using it in wattage mode so I would start low. Vape. If it's not what you want, turn it up a little. Vape. Repeat until you get a slight burnt taste or harsh vape. Turn it down just a bit. That will be the sweet spot for that tank, that coil, and that juice. Each flavor of juice will have a different heat setting. Just start low and work your way up (don't depend on what "specs" tell you, they're just a general guideline but not absolute). And I stand corrected. The two more Triton 2s that I had on order showed up in today's vape mail.
  3. It should be just fine. You can use quite a few different tanks on the Subox mini. I love the Aspire Triton 2 tanks (I rotate four, have another as a back up and two more on order).
  4. Personally, I could never watch this guy, I found him to be very annoying with his antics. Just my opinion. For ease of viewing...
  5. If you're wanting to just rewick the one you already have, carefully remove the wick/cotton and then pulse the mod to heat the coil. That will burn off the gunk that's on it. Once the coil cools a bit, rewick and reprime.
  6. When you get into building your own coils, the first thing on your shopping list should be a dedicated ohm meter. The meters on the mods are not as accurate as a separate one (although some come much closer now than the mods from the past).
  7. What's the resistance of the coils you're using? And you're using these in wattage mode and not TC?
  8. And more new ones coming out every day or so it seems. It's hard to keep up with them anymore.
  9. Sounds like a good habit to have. Everyone always comes to me when they need something because chances are extremely good that I'll have it. Between the two of us, we could probably teach the Boy Scouts a thing or two.
  10. So how much does your bag weigh, Jason?
  11. Batteries, especially, weigh down a bag fast. Since I like the iStick 50W so well, carrying those as back ups really weighs my purse down. Three of them have tanks and juice and there's one that's just as a back up battery. There are also two Vision Spinners with KPT3 minis on them just as an extra back up too.
  12. From personal experience and also that of so many others we've helped along on this forum, I have one bit of advice for you when it comes to any flavor: Try it for yourself. I'm not trying to be non-helpful, but everyone tastes juice in a different way, it's all so subjective. What I think is the greatest tasting juice in the world, someone else will say it tastes like wet socks to them. Four people can say this is the best tasting tobacco juice out there but it may taste awful for you. The only way to find out is for you to try it for yourself. If they have it in a small size, buy it to try it. Then, if you like it, buy it in a bigger bottle. Just know that if you let it sit for a week or so (this is called steeping by some), the flavor will deepen and get richer, you'll also probably taste different notes that will come out with time.
  13. Depends on what you want to do with it. Do you want to use the temperature control or use it in watts? It looks like the Innokin iSub tank has more options for different coil styles: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Atomizer-Head-for-Innokin-iSub-p/ink-isc.htm
  14. If you have the money for it, get both. You'll never be sorry you have a back up when you need it. Seriously.
  15. Here's the easiest way to find the sweet spot on your Nautilus with whatever juice you're using. Start low (go with watts or volts, whichever you're most comfortable with). Vape. If it's not doing it for you, turn it up a little. Vape. Repeat until you get a slight burnt taste and then back it down just a bit. That's the sweet spot for that resistance of coil, that tank and that juice. You may need to adjust with different flavors. The bakery/heavy flavors tend to like more heat. The fruity flavors like it cooler.
  16. I've been getting emails from all the vendors I purchase from that they're having Valentine's Day sales. Are there any vendors you usually buy from? I'd start there to check for sale prices. Check in the vendors' section of this forum, they should also be having sales.
  17. It also comes down to how you vape. Are you a mouth to lung vaper or a direct lung vaper? The two tanks that Bebop suggested are better suited for direct to lung vaping. That means you inhale the vapor straight into your lungs. Most former smokers have a hard time with doing that at first. Mouth to lung is more like smoking a cigarette where you inhale into your mouth first, wait a split second before inhaling into the lungs.
  18. Yes, you need to make sure you get the correct coil that fits on that specific tank.
  19. The coils that come with the tanks are generally... how to say this nicely... crap. Most of us throw them to the side for when we get into a pinch. For some odd reason, the coils that come with tanks don't perform as well as the replacement coils. The Triton 2 comes with two coils (one 0.5 Ω Clapton and one 1.8 Ω), it also comes with a separate Pyrex tank if you don't want to use the plastic one that comes on the tank when you buy it. ALWAYS buy extra coils right away. You won't be sorry.
  20. You don't need to go as high as 2.0 ohm coils. My go to tank is an Aspire Triton 2. Although I have the rebuildable, I prefer the stock coils -- call me lazy. With the Triton 2, they make a 1.8 ohm coil. Just bought two more tanks and four 5-packs of 1.8 ohm replacement coils. I change coils when it doesn't give off the flavor/vapor (it doesn't work as well as it should) anymore. The kind of juice you use also plays a part in how long a coil will last. With light colored, less sweet juices, the coil will last much longer. With dark, sweet juices like what I vape everyday, I get about six tankfuls before having to change the coil. The sweet, dark juices gunk up coils faster.
  21. Hey, Bebop, are you building your own coils on those or using stock coils?
  22. It means you and your friend would be well served to do a little research on these terms so you can vape safely and not wind up on the six o'clock news as a new casualty.
  23. The tank we'd recommend would also depend on what mod you want to put it on. For the best performance, you'd want to pair the two.
  24. Your iStick is just the battery. What tank are you using?
  25. The iStick is just your power source. What tank are you using? What resistance is the coil? What is your PG/VG level in your juice? Those all have a part in making more vapor.
