Loving it

Well I finally decided to stop waiting and jumped on board!! I won't be looking back that's for sure. Working in a casino for 20+ years makes it next to impossible to quit smoking, but vapor is definitely all ME! I have been reading all of the posts around here like a ravenous dog for tips, hints, suggestions, best ideas, and how to step into vaping the right way and not get a "bad taste" from it. I know so many people who have tried the analog looking ones like BLU or whatever and didn't like it so went right back to big tobacco. On the other hand I decided to go with the eGo C Twist variable voltage and 12 mg nicotine juice to replace the Marlboro Lights I have been smoking forever.

So far I have convinced 5 of my friends to really give it a try, and I am 5/5 in converting people from analogs. The benefits of it are so many that I fail to see why big tobacco isn't scared to death (maybe they are). My only deal now is to learn how to change out the coils/wicks (I have yet to attempt) and I should be home free.

Two weeks on vapor only & counting. I feel better, can taste better, don't smell like an ashtray, don't have to go outside to smoke in the elements and am confident that it will improve my health :flower:.

My favorite like from an analog smoker was, "heck no, that stuff has chemicals in it. Too dangerous and risky!" I almost laughed myself to the floor!!

So thanks for all the advice & posts that helped me to finally give big tobacco the BOOT!!! Looking forward to posting more & reading more in the years to come..

One other question that I wonder about. I was considering slowly working down the nicotine content until I didn't need it anymore. Should I do that, or just get down to a low dosage that would give me the equivalent of a little caffeine. Just wondering what most or some of you guys are doing or did.

Well I finally decided to stop waiting and jumped on board!! I won't be looking back that's for sure. Welcome aboard. I know what you mean. I did that, too. I know so many people who have tried the analog looking ones like BLU or whatever and didn't like it so went right back to big tobacco.Been there, done that, too. Took me a while to try the "newer" styles, but once I did I was convinced this is the way to go. On the other hand I decided to go with the eGo C Twist variable voltage and 12 mg nicotine juice to replace the Marlboro Lights I have been smoking forever. Good choice. Would also reccommend getting a spare battery ot two. Nothing worse than a dead battery right when you want a hit.

The benefits of it are so many that I fail to see why big tobacco isn't scared to death (maybe they are). My only deal now is to learn how to change out the coils/wicks (I have yet to attempt) and I should be home free. No big deal. It's easy.

You're right on all counts ....... and I hated having to go out to the "Leper Colony" to smoke, too. Now we don't have to.

My favorite like from an analog smoker was, "heck no, that stuff has chemicals in it. Too dangerous and risky!" I almost laughed myself to the floor!! Some people just fight being edgumicated. Keep it up, some day they'll see the light ......... maybe.

That's up to you. Me, I actually kinda enjoyed smoking, so I haven't attempted dropping my Nic level ..... yet. Maybe soon, tho. My daughter-in-law has dropped her nic level to almost 0 after 8 months, so it's all up to whatever you choose....... at your own pace.

Congrats on your switch to vaping, Gonzo! You did good in reading all the threads first, it saves a lot of time in the long run because you've already "seen" what advice others got as well as tips and tricks.

Vaping is a personal thing, imo. You do what's right for you, and only you can tell what that is. When you're ready or wish to, you step down your nic level. I was a pack a day smoker of Marlboro Lights for more years than I want to admit to. At first I started out with 24 mg liquid so I could make the switch. Soon after that I went down to 18 mg because the 24 had gotten too strong for me. Now I vape anything from 12 mg to even 0 sometimes but mostly stick to 12 and I'm happy right there. Some day I might venture into staying on 6 or 8 or lower but I'm in no hurry. :)

I started at 24mg 4 years ago and stepped down to 12mg just to see if I could. Now I vape 0 and 12. Just depends if I feel a need. My goal is 4 and then just stay there. Why? No reason at all. It just seemed to happen on it's own. I just stopped craving the nicotine, but my God am I an addict, I want one of everything lol. Good luck and just see where it takes you. Enjoy vaping and being able to breath. I feel so good, I can't believe I ever smoked.

In nine months I have dropped from 24mg down to mostly 6mg with an occasional 12 mg when I feel I need it. I expect to be on 6 solidly very shortly and down to 3 at a year.

But that's just me. I've had that goal for myself. It's a personal thing. Just something I've wanted to do.

Sweet, thanks for the input guys. I have tank backups en route to me for that emergency situation. The way I figure it, I will get two smaller tanks for a low price for backups. One for the car and one for my locker at work that I hopefully won't need to use too often.

Take Care & See ya in a week. (heading to Las Vegas in the morning for a much needed Vacation with the wife)
