  1. Have you tried felting? It's a fun and relaxing hobby and inexpensive.

Working with your hands is fun like using sculpey or clay. There's making candles or soaps or bathsalts? These are also things you can do with the kiddos which makes it more fun and if the results are good you can sell them to offset some of the costs at craft fairs. I like gardening and canning foods (also a money maker) like  sauces, fruits, jellies and jams It's fairly inexpensive to start too and the results are delicious and you know what's in your foods.

Here's a felting dog video but you can felt a ton of things:  Dog video

DYI ejuice is fun and tasty. You can try it by getting a kit with everything you need to try small amounts here

@Edna Nothing more satisfying than giving the gift of vaping and creating another ex-smoker :)

Thanks and you're right.  I've converted (or at least tried) quite a few people. I know vaping was the ONLY way I could quit analogs and I found that people are more willing to give it a go if they don't have much out of pocket expense (especially my 2 adult sons and one of their wives) Now both sons have just about totally given up the stinkies. My daughter in law's mother passed so she fell off the wagon shortly but I sent her some higher nic juice and she's getting back on track. The best part I think is knowing they're no longer smoking around the grandkids and I'm very grateful for that.

  3. All from the Vapor Talk Store:

2  Kanger Evods with 2 (5) packs of coils to vape it forward. (only $10 each and the coils $3.75 ea.) great way to help family and friends without breaking the bank, One's for a cousin and one will be held in reserve for my next victim ;)

1 Kanger toptank nano to replace the one my neighbor decided he loved too much to give back (yay I FINALLY got him into a mod and tank instead of an ego pen after 6 months of trying)

1 SMOK Baby Beast to find out what all the hoopla is about and I couldn't beat the price in VT's moving sale price...

  4. My AIO only gets rare use but I love it for running to the grocery store or for a night at the movies. The pen styles with built in batteries really don't last that long if they're your main vaping device. I have quite a few different devices and my Kangers and eleaf pico are my favorites. You'll not go wrong with either one.  This is a great forum to get advice and it will be as varied as there are users.  I have had pretty good luck with the Joyetech AIO and Evic mini V2, but I also don't rely on it as my all day workhorses.

The bottom line is getting what will work best for your life style.  For my two cents, If you like the built in battery then I'd go with an ipower by eleaf if not, a Kanger subbox is a great workhorse or the pico. Just please educate your self on battery safety and charging as well as the units functions.  Oh, also Welcome to Vapor Talk it's a great place with great people :)

  5. Short of not mentioning that you did charge it fully  (which I assume you did)

I would happen to guess you have a dead coil and there's a disconnect. My AIO flashes but doesn't hit for two reasons one being the battery is too low to fire the coil or it's low in power. I would try to recharge it until the light goes out and see if it did get a good charge beyond the ability to turn on your light. If that doesn't work try another coil.

One last question though...How old is the AIO the batterys only last so long it might have lived a good life and needs replaced and if that's the case I know that the Vaportalk store has them on sale right now and at this price you might grab 2 :) or even upgrade to the Joyetech twist or mega

  6. @Christopher

Was my order Lost by USPS?   I got a notice that it shipped and now I'm being told that the tracking is invaild.  That's never happened before weird.

I was just trying to place an order and all of a sudden it kicked offline and the error message was database connection error. I wanted to get them out in today's mail . So they make it here before my cousin whom I"m trying to get to quit analogs gets here this Sunday...Thanks for any help you can offer.

I sent you an email and hopefully you can reserve the things in the order for me until I can pay for them when the site is back up

    Thanks,

    Edna

  7. I have tried a couple of Capella's flavors and they're really pretty good but I've been getting my flavors from Wizard Labs and I have been mixing and matching. Since I'm still rather new to mixing (just since last June) I'm finding there's a learning curve. The few Lorann's I've tried are not very good and they've been kicked back into the Kitchen for assorted projects like candy for the local FD and PD to hand out to kids when they respond to a call. I find that I prefer TFA dark chocolate to any of the others but I really like FA cream. I'm looking for a cinnamon that's not mixed like a bakery roll or snickerdoodle If anyone has an idea I'd be grateful for the suggestion. However, I've also been cheating somewhat because my local vape shop has flavor concentrates of my ADV's and it's easy to grab 250ml of that and use it with my own nic and VG and make big batches and since we're getting ready to move soon (if I can find a place) I've only been vaping it and one other juice since I packed up all my mixing stuff except 2 syringes to measure with.

*** Sorry if I'm rambling these painkillers are knocking me thru a loop***

  8. Since The VT Store doesn't sell flavors yet .... (wink wink)

I don't feel bad letting you all DYIers know I just got an email from Heatland saying they're having a flavor sale use code FA10 in the cart for the discount.

I just stocked up from Wizard Labs a couple of weeks ago so I'm not shopping but I thought I'd pass it along

Excellent article, I am happy that the study showed "long term vapers" having such good results. Thanks for sharing :)  Now, I'm going to forward it to my Congressman and Senator !

    I might have :o

The black was already out of stock, so I bought a stainless steel.  Didn't check to see if there were more.  I promise I only bought one, though.

Ok @Adversarious1  I finally sprung for a baby beast because of your glowing recommendations... I have you to blame for parting me with my kids inheritance ...LOL  at $16.99 I couldn't pass it up. (plus $2.99 SH) but under $20 I'm not out toooo much ;)  I have a dozen or so RDA'a and RDTA'a so I just had to do something different :)

@Edna  Being frugal is a beatitude!  I know some very wealthy people and they got that way by making money work for them.  Just like yourself, they have a tendency to buy better quality less often and so their homework on prices.  My thing is taking care of stuff.  I have many things that were made by Moses and still in like new condition.  I really do not like buying more than once if I can help it.

@Walt I use and reuse and then use things for other things too. I take care of things to the point of ridiculous... for example I still have a pair of hiking boots that I got when I was thirteen (resoled once or twice) but I've had them for 35+ years.  I can't help it it's the way I was raised. My parents were depression babies and they drilled it into me. It's not a bad quality at all :)

Wow, @Walt, I didn't realize you'd acquired so much! Seems like just a very short while ago that you started vaping. Shinyitits indeed.  :)

@Tam   LOL... you know the old saying..."boys and their toys"  ;)

No, @Walt just took your advice to heart...Back ups and more back ups :)

However I did warn him about the addition to his house he was going to need and it looks like he'd better get out the saw horse and planning board :D

+1 on the magnification lamp... best accessory "tool" I ever purchased 30-yrs ago...lol.

I use to use it when soldering small circuit boards, but now I use it now for my latest hobby of vintage watch repairs and refurbishing.  I also use it occasionally when I need a better view of a coil build/deck, too.

Maybe someday I'll upgrade to one of the "daylight-white" LED ring-lamps, like you pictured... the one I'm using now works with a standard 40W appliance bulb :(

@Earthling789  Try Michael's like I told @Walt about.  You're going to love the difference in the lighting it's easier on your eyes and details will pop better. I use one for jewelry making and also when I paint miniatures.  Can you fix an old timex? I have my Aunts that ran forever but died recently and I'd be happy to pay you :) (and no, it's not the battery lol)

@Edna  You have got be the queen of finding the best deal out there.  Michael's is much more palatable than Wallyworld.

    @Walt

I'm on a really tight budget so I know how to make pennies scream for mercy because I pinch them so hard LOL.

I just refuse to buy junk because in the long run you waste money, Yes, Michael's is better than wally-world and they stand behind their products better too :)

I think the lighted stand magnifier is where I will end up also. I just need to get up enough never to brave Walmart.

You can also get them at Michael's craft store and if you go on their website and sign up for their emails you get a coupon for 50% off a regularly priced item (you can limit the emails you get or cancel after you print the coupon ;) )
