  1. sorry bout the double post...was figuring out tapatalk
  2. http://imgur.com/LGcybIF My ejuice How do I put the pic right in the post?
  3. After conversing with Tam and Comp I ordered (4) LR 1.5 ohm long atomizers. Got a drip shield, Ming drip tip and 510-510 adapter too.
  4. Trying out my new spearmint from TVR
  5. Thanks Comp. Good thing I have excellent US E-Liquid vendors like Fadora Vapor
  6. I fly in and out by you. SometimesPatterson, sometimes Amelia.
  7. I've read the threads about how long it takes to receive goods from fastech. And I've read that ordering batteries can hold up shippment from getting through customs. I figure the best way around that problem is to order batteries from within the US. My question is if there is anything else I can order from fastech that will cause a shipment to be held up or not shipped at all?
  8. Hey Traci I'm in Louisiana too. Lafayette. Was wondering if you have any good vape shops near you. Lafayette has a few but I'm always looking for new places.
  9. Just noticed this aquatroy. Ex Nola living in CO? Did you evacuate for Katrina? I did and lived in Colorado Springs for about a year.
  10. Hey guitardoc. I'm in Louisiana too. Lafayette. Where u ?
  11. Switched back to the Halo Turkish. Might throw some of that lil bit mint in the mix soon. The tobacco is strong this time because I haven't vaped it in over a week.
  12. What size drill bit did you use for "slightly bigger than 510" 3/4" ?
  13. Good job. I want to do something similar for my tanks. I have more tanks than batteries and when I have a tank I'm not using I usually rest it on a beauty ring. It keeps them upright but not too sturdy. The slightest bump sends them toppling.
  14. About five or ten years ago I was struggling with the rising cost of analogs. Not because I couldn't afford them but in general principal it was offensive to be paying increasingly higher prices to partake in an activity that I was sure was bad for me. So I found a way around the system. I bought loose tobacco, these things called "tubes" which, for those of you who don't know, is the every part of a cigarette (the white paper part and the filter) except the tobacco and a little machine that allowed me to insert the tobacco in the tube. It sucked at first. I wasn't very good at it. But over time I mastered my technique and was making them as good as any store bought. Things went on like that for years. I was paying $6-$8 per carton of cigarette. Then big tobacco stepped in. They were loosing money. They wanted the laws changed. It didn't take long. I was told by the store I bought my stuff from to expect a price increase in my supplies. Sure I thought, I'm only paying $6/carton....$10 won't be so bad. When the change went into effect my $6 cartons had jumped to $38. Long story short it didn't make sense to do all that work when I could get a carton of Pall Malls for $30. And this is similar to that. The info I found stated that the tobacco industry generates 500 BILLION USD per year (worldwide). Americas share is around 35 Billion (these figures were as of 2010). There is no way in hell that big tobacco is going to ignore vaping. I multiplied 365 by 4 by one miliion. That is a pack day habit at an average of $4 per pack for one million people. That's how many people I would guess world wide have switched from analogs to vaping. That estimate may be low. That is 1.5 Billion dollars in lost revenue. The only thing that amazes me is that big tobacco hasn't made it's move sooner. I won't get into my history of taking up the rallying cry against the unfair treatment of the underdog. I am a huge fan of the underdog. But this situation doesn't look good for the underdog. I believe the underdog has two years to do what it can and then say goodbye. I've seen on a personal level what fighting the government gets. And insanely wealthy individuals/corporations can't be any different. I'm not saying don't fight, I'm saying go into this knowing what you are up against. I'm a realist not a pessimist. I will sign any petition asking for fair treatment and inclusion of the independant vaping business owner. I will call senators and congressmen. I will make posts like this. But in two years I need to be prepared to make it on my own. I need to know as many ways as possible to build a mod and I need to know how to make my own juice. The only part of my plan that I'm concerned about is what the availability of liquid nicotine is going to be like in two years. I suppose it's possible big brother will reign that under it's control too. Right now I can get a 500 ml bottle of my 24mg strength for $25. That may not be possible after the changes take effect. At that time I will either have to be weened off nic all together or I'll have to get it from whichever suppliers can afford the costly and time consuming process of getting FDA approved. I'm not too jazzed about looking at a botlle of caramel mochaccino 24 mg with a Marlboro label on it. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
  15. Thanks for that link. It was a very interesting vlog. I need some time to process that information. I also need some time to do more research. I will get back to this topic once I have more facts. Thanks Compenstine.
  16. That's why I was asking....because I don't know what to do. I'm new to this but I know that I haven't smoked in over a month. I also know that the possibility that vaping could be taken away from me scares me and pisses me off at the same time. But if what we're talking about is regulating e-juice manufacturing and turning it's production over to big tobacco or mega companies, while that would suck for small, independent juice makers, it's far different than banning batteries, tanks and coils (or atomizers/cartomizers). I used to make candy back in the day. I can get my hands on drams of flavoring and vegetable glycerin. Not so sure about nicotine, presumably that would be regulated/off limits too. But if I have to learn to build my own APV's, I might want to stock up on parts to get me through to the point where I can do it myself. That was my real question. Do I need to be spending every minute of the two weeks I'm off every month learning as fast as I can to become a perfect device manufacturer? Is the impending doom that drastic? Are they gonna take my ability to buy APV's? Is it gonna happen soon? Like in the next couple months?
  17. Well that way I got 1/4 teaspoon which is 1.2 ml's roughly. So I guess it's an EVOD. Which is weird cause they sold it to me as MT3. It doesn't say EVOD on the tube so it's probably a knockoff.
  18. Hey. I finally got to try to measure this tank. When they are talking about capacity do they mean up to where I can't fill without liquid draing through center tube, or the entire tank?
  19. Okay. I watched the video about the HH.357 atomizer linked to the PM we had about the same. I don't know what I was expecting but not these little things. Doesn't seem all that dangerous. Unless the learning curve you were speaking of has more to do with proper vaping as oppossed to actual danger. Anyway I checked out the site you linked for the Boge atty. Couple of questions. 1) What the difference between bridged and de-bridged? 2) Those things will look pretty silly sticking out of the top of one of my eGo's and more so with the Sigelei VV/VW. do they make some sort of cover? and what was that extender that guy was talking about? 3) Can I use this with my VV/VW or just the eGo's? 4) The Vapelite people, they are reputable? Or were you linking that just to show me an example of what you were talking about? If you are sending yours to be cleaned you have a rebuildable one? These boge ones are disposable? Or do they get cleaned too?
  20. I read in a post yesterday that someone was stocking up on a particular item to prepare for the possibility that the FDA might shut us down. I'm paraphrasing, I believe the phrase said something about preparing for the FDA wars. I tried to find the post and couldn't - I think I was moving too fast. Anyway my question: is this something I need to be concerned about? Everything I read says they made a ruling on the 24th of April about keeoing e-cigs and specifically nicotine products away from minors. Definitely a good thing. But nowhere did I see anything about shutting down vaping completely. I'm sure big tobacco wouldn't mind but banning vaping all together seems like a stretch. Or is it? What would they ban? Batteries? Tanks? E-Juice? All of it? So, should I be stocking up stuff? Or possibly I should be moving faster to learn how to build all this stuff myself, juice included. What are your thoughts fellow vapers?
  21. Well I'm glad I got a Nautilus so I can see for myself what it's like but the concensus seems to be that Kanger "is the man" (sorry Charlie) when it comes to tanks. I have an MT3 (or evod - still haven't figured that out) for my eGo. And I have an aerotank and aerotank mini on the way. If I want to get one of the KPT's to try those too do I need to get all three or can I get a 2 or 3 to get the general idea? I'd also be getting the airflow bottom to add to it, does that attachment work with the KPT, KPT II and KPT III? Tam said she thinks the single coils work better over the dual coils in her KPT III. Can I use single coils in all of them? If not, which ones can I have that option? Do single coils work better in just the KPT III or do they work better in all of them?
  22. I'd be interested to learn about direct dripping. Tell me all you know. I've read a little about it. If I got it right it's a system where you add the liquid directly to the heating element. The info I have is that it produces some of the most true flavor representation because there is no wick by which the flavor is dulled. But as you said it's a few drops at a time process. The advantage of that would be that it would be optimal for new flavor testing. The downside imo would be that it would not be the atomizer I would use if I was on the move. It would be more for kicking back at home and testing new flavors or using it to truely appreciate the flavors I particulary love. The other advantage would be it would save me some money on repalcement coils (assuming I would toss a coil after every new flavor testing). Now that I think about it I'm glad you brought this up. I was about to burn through a bunch of coils testing all these new flavors. I might do myself a "solid" by picking up a direct drip atomizer ASAP. How steep is the learning curve? If I buy one today (online) and try to get it delivered for Tuesday/Wednesdsay, when I get home and when my new gear/fluids should start arriving, would you be able to help me be capable enough by then so as not to hurt myself?
