Electronic devices that give the user a shock is usually a faulty ground somewhere in the device, or a missing ground in the AC outlet where it is plugged into. Try plugging the computer into a different AC outlet to verify if it is a missing ground in the outlet, or you could also try a different computer power cable. If it proves to be the computer itself, I would have it repaired or replaced as soon as possible, as this type of problem could aso have negitive effects on the other computer devices connected to it (printers webcams, external drives, etc.)

I had exactly the same experience with the Blu. Went to 510 mega now eGo XL with jumbo atty, NO desire to smoke. I was a 1 1/2 PAD smoker for 35 years and I didn't want to quit I really enjoyed it. Now I'm not missing it a bit. The wide variety of flavors is mind boggling and so much fun trying them out. So glad you didn't give up my hubby even quit after he saw me having success with this. I never got excited about analogs but can hardly wait for new juices or toys to come in the mail and being able to switch flavors to match my mood is not only cool but very relaxing. You will not regret soldering on.

I am so glad to hear you chose the eGo. I started with the Blu then found this fabulous group of people. I bought the Joye 510 and the eGo at the same time because I couldn't make up my mind. LOVE my eGo and ended up giving my mom my 510 set LOL. I smoked for 22 years and had tried everything to quit, this is the only thing that has worked. I definately vape alot more than I ever smoked. I have the whole thing going and rarely put it down Let us know what you think of your eGo when you get it, it will be a whole different experience

Every time I go shopping, things are called something else because something new has been added to the list. But, I feel safe in saying that my first one was a Jumbo.. or Monster... eGo atty from WU. It rocked, until I used it up. It took over 60 drops the first fill, and over 20 from then on.
I'm now on one from goodprophets.com and it rocks too. I think they call it eGo Mega Atty. Open the page and if it says it takes 2ml... then that's the one!
Way cool Chris at VTstore is going to carry them!! Thanks for the heads up!

Nana~ they also finally have Mega drip tips too for these and they are sweet! After they get going, they don't seem to need as much eliquid to keep going... it has a bigger pan perhaps? These Mega attys are like putting 2 or 3 attys in a bundle and firing up.

An LR mega atty??? OMG! I can't even imagine.... ohhhhh yes I can.... Holy cow!!!!

Well I am new to vaping and just got my new ecig 2 days ago. At first I was loving it. It was from a company called joycig (not joye). I didn't do my research and was just going off a recommendation from a friend. He said joye but I ended up ordering from the wrong company. Sneaky bastards! Well they have a 30 day return policy, which is great cause the unit sucks (and not in a good way). It is almost identical to the blucig starter pack. I noticed right off the bat that the batteries only lasted an hr that's till one of the batteries completely died on me yesterday. It'll say it's charging and when it's done I plug it into my atty and nothing. The cartridges are way overfilled too; as soon as you plug it in starts leaking from the sides and the first 10-15 drags I get juice in my mouth. Not to mention they use the same annoying foil covers blu does. It also got so hot yesterday that I had to put it down for fear of burning myself. Five minutes later I smell a weird almost hair burning smell so I pick it up and its still red hot to the touch. After that the battery was shot. Now on to the good news. After reading a lot of positive reviews I ordered the eGo from awesomevapor. I also ordered the monster atty for it too. I'm excited to get it. I like the idea of vaping (when it worked)and won't let one bad experience define what vaping is. It works for me. I'm not completely off the analogs yet but I know I will be. Hey going from a pack and a half a day to 3 analogs day one should tell ya something. Off topic but do you guys enjoy vaping more than you did smoking or do you still crave an analog from time to time?

I recall you telling us you shopped at the Vapor's Lounge and it was an actual storefront. I looked at your locale and said to myself, "that must be Terri!"

You may not remember but we were chatting the other night and you raved about the store. Did you get back in there and stock up on juice, too?

    UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE

All the browsing I did last night and I somehow overlooked this post made by Chris yesterday. VTStore will have mega attys & batts soon! I'll hold off and support my favorite site.

MtnLioness are you Terri? If not, then you both shop at the same store .. hehe, so cool.

I've been curious about the mega attys. TotallyWicked was the first place I saw them and the owner has done a video review of them. I've since seen them on several sites and they may be priced lower if you check around. TW can run a little pricey.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Mtn.

Not all that bad but certainly doesnt look all that portable. I have seen worse designs for feeders but I like this one alot better. When it is finished it will be same width as device. oh and it is automatic and tunable for more/less. Airflow triggers the release of the juice.

Welcome and yes they can be refilled but with a warning. DO NOT OVERFILL! the Blu batteries are not sealed so juice dripping in it can fry it. You just pull ot the clear plastic container inside which holds the filler. Soak them both in hot water and remove as much of the foil on the edges as possible. When the filler is dry drip 2 drops into the container and carefully replace the filler, then drop by drop wet the filler. If you overfill you will get juice in your mouth! then put filled container back into cart and place atty on, I use a straightened paperclip to push up the cart through the hole in mouth piece, not hard just gentle push. I use this method when I want to try a new juice, I use my 510 they work together, and voila. With the Blu be very careful as the battery can be damaged by liquid. The attys on the Blu are really nice little units and work hard but you need to use Blu carts on them. It can be done and I have done it but remember not to overfill, if you have a puddle on top you will get juice in your mouth.

I started at 24mg and kept to my regular smoking schedule (no more than once an hour, not indoors, not in the car, etc) as I was unsure how I was going to react. I was committed to getting to 0mg so after a while I started cutting down around 2mg ever two weeks or so. Then I started vaping constantly, indoors, in the car, at work inside (stealth). I thought it was lack of nicotine but now I'm pretty convinced as I felt better, I was simply doing what I wanted to do all along, "smoke" all the time. Since I was feeling better and better each day, why not? Anyway, got to zero and the urge kind of went away after a few weeks. Don't even "have to" while drinking (though I like to). I think my ego is somewhere around the house, haven't seen it for a few days. And I'm the guy who would roll the dice at the airport just before boarding by going back through security to get one more smoke in. So I think normal, your decision and I always recommend trying to cut down, you might be surprised. Of course, if you find yourself just staring at the knife in the kitchen while your better half yells at you, bring the level back up a little!! ;-)

Hi, I think all kinds of analyses can be made regarding what, why, how and when we vape. I believe someone posted here on the forum that when we vape we're taking in less nic than when we smoked analogs. Idk the science behind that. However, in the beginning, vaping was new and exciting, for me. I couldn't put my pv down. I still have my eGo in my hand a lot of the time. It goes where I go. Am I vaping less after five months? Idk, I haven't monitored myself. I think the best argument to be made is the one elDuderino expressed. What an analog smoker is ingesting is a crime against humanity. And the known carcinogens that are in them to keep people smoking all over the world? Shame, shame, shame on the tobacco companies!!!

Everyone has their personal goals. Some want to wean, some vape all day and night on 0mg, some vape very high levels of nicotine. I put in a vote for being grateful that I have this technology available to me. Vaping will certainly help no matter what decision I make in the future! Right now tho, 'Preacher Lily' loves to vape! So many choices in what pv's to buy, so many e-liquid flavors, so very much fun!

another thought is that it might be the primer on your new atty giving you a bad first impression. Pick up some 510 carto's with soft tops and see if they taste better. Until then, blow out the atty, let it drain on a kleenex/paper towel, re prime with 2 or 3 drops of eliquid, prime puff it like a pipe, re drip... now inhale.

Hi James, I ditto B80. Hang in there. This is a transition and it takes a little time for things to fall into place. I've received e-liquid I swore I was going to trash right away. But after reading a bit on the forum about e-liquid and reading some of the e-liquid reviews, what I did (this is just me) was do or die vape it for at least a day. What often happened is that the flavor began to grow on me. In the beginning our tastebuds are pretty dead and our sense of smell is off or even non-existent. What I thought was awful now tastes great and what I thought was great is, well, I certainly won't order it a second time! I guess vaping is a choice. Honestly, I don't know what I'd be doing if I still had to smoke analogs. Please let us know how it goes. There's a lot to think about, do and learn in the beginning. It will work if you want it to!

noXious reacted to MtnLioness in Vaporite Organic English Toffee & Organic Kona Cream
This is my first juice review. I can NOT say enough good things about Todd's Organic English Toffee e-juice!! I originally went to his site to order the Organic Kona Cream (love the coffee vapes!). But--gasp!--he was out of Kona Cream! So I bit the bullet and bought a 30 ML of the Toffee that I'd heard so many rave about. He offers a 3ml free sample, so put in Kona Cream and in my note I asked if this was the organic one, since that is what I had originally wanted to order.

When my package arrived, I happily ripped it open---and, along with the 30ML of the English Toffee juice, I found a 10 ML of Kona Cream with a sweet personal note that he had upgraded my sample since he was out of the Kona Cream I had wanted.

WOW---both juices are really, really good! But to my surprise, it was the Toffee that became my go to juice! It has this amazing smoothness to it with a buttery feel that passes over your tongue. I love it so much that I just bought another 30 ML of it! Wish he had it in 60 ML!

I really like the Kona Cream, too. I'm a huge coffee lover. For those who like a little lighter tasting coffee vape, this is for you. Personally, I preferred Backwood's Brew Espresso, which isn't a fair comparison since BWB's Espresso is bound to have a stronger coffee taste then a "cream" vape. However, I may order the Kona Cream again. I have a feeling I'm gonna miss it. Only a little bit left of it.

Well, there you have it! My first review. I also want to add Todd told me he's willing to add PG to his 100% VG organic juices. Yay! So this order I asked for 30% PG and I know I'll love his juices even more! Wow...is that possible?

Excellent juice and excellent customer service at Vaperite!!

None in our liquids either. Right now there seems to be an all-out panic on another forum regarding this. But now is not the first time it has come to light-- Most of the suppliers that have been around for a while have been aware of this for a long time. There was kind of a panic on the big forum maybe around 2008 or so, maybe early 2009.. When we were choosing manufacturers, this was one of the things we made sure were NOT in the flavorings, as well as added sugars and oils. New liquid vendors spring up almost daily, though.. it certainly doesn't hurt to ask before buying. Frankly, I wouldn't want to vape the stuff when I can vape perfectly yummy liquid without it.

I think that, before we freak out, some context is needed - particularly after reading the WSJ article I saw some reasons for concern and would agree with the FDA's decision.

    To quote the article:

Yes, they should *not* be allowed to sell products that contain these things. It will be interesting to see whether or not reputable vendors are also sent cease and desist letters. If the FDA is only trying to shut down vendors who are putting extra things that don't need to be there into their liquid then I whole heartedly agree with them. I am concerned about getting more than I pay for in my liquid and I definitely don't think companies should be allowed to put things in there without disclosing it.

If the FDA sends cease and desist orders to companies who are selling liquid that contains nothing but PG/VG, nicotine, water and flavoring then we should start to be concerned.

Somewhere there is a check from Phillip Morris or RJ Reynolds written to the FDA....just gotta find out whose desk it's on.

The guys I follow (a blog) are kind of split up on how badly this will end. My fear is even if we had a slim chance of getting out, the gulf is what is known as a black swan. Still being downplayed as much as possible. BP still in charge, why? I believe this way the current admin and finance knucklheads/Goldman Alumn will be able to say, what we did in QE, stimulus and bailouts would have worked (NOT). But blame BP for the current state of the nation and let us keep working (possible martial law).

Sorry, I never had faith in the fiscal policy and the Gulf is the final nail (IMHO). For the conspiracy folks, isn't it funny how this happened just after the okay for more offshore was given. Also notice how quiet the environmental groups are?

And finally (who knows if this is true)

Priorities in our society have changed with every generation. The hottest cell phone, Lady GaGa, Farmville, and the list goes on. Everyone's out swiping these days, myself included. The difference is that I know how much is in my accounts and my credit limits and thus do not engage in "sprees". Our children are growing up thinking that money is free .. swipe and voila! you have what you want in an instant! Car & Home? Fill out some paperwork and voila! it's yours. What I'm saying isn't directly relevant, but what I'm getting at is this...

Few have actual knowledge of finance, much less micro-, macro- and global economics. No one Not enough people are educated and aware of their own finances to even care. hehe, they "can't afford to give a damn".

With that being said, we must start somewhere. It's our duty, as parents, to teach our children that though we swipe, that money has to come from somewhere and is never free. This should begin very early on. My 3 yo son watches me from his carseat as I swipe for gas. We must sit with them, before they head off to college, and are bombarded with credit offers, and show them our bills, our accounts, our bank statements. It's pertinent that they know what those contracts (car & home) really say and that by simply signing their name could cost them more in the end. Buying a home for $500k and paying an extensive fee to the agent who handles it for you. Amortize for 30 yrs (20 if you can) and pay multiple times more than the principal (which is the $500k) over that 30 yr period (can you say 'second mortgage'?). In that contract you could end up paying for everything if you don't know what you're doing. Fiduciary duty has loopholes too; and as always...greed will exploit them. We need to equip them with as much "in hand" or "hands on" experience as we can so that there is a clear understanding of their responsibility. In this day financial freedom is a myth for most because they have not earned it (via accountability).

My 23 yr old cousin just told me that he is going to file bankruptcy so that his parents can transfer the family's vehicles into his name and then turn around and file bankruptcy themselves (for the 2nd time). Don't worry though! (he says) They're building up my other cousin's credit (since he's 18 now) so that they can buy a house in his name. They all drive nice cars, have the latest fashions and the best cellphones every few months. They still live in a sprawling 5br home with over 3k of living space. There are only 3 of them living in the home. I take that back, my grandmother recently relocated and now lives there too. Who pays for all that money they owe when they all successfully file bankruptcy, circumventing the repossession of those large money items that they will continue to use and have not paid for?

We have very little debt. None if you compare us to most Americans. It isn't easy, but it's a whole helluva lot better than the alternative.
**** .. I want nice things too but I can't have them all at once (we actually save and/or buy things one at a time so that we can have quality things) because I'm responsible and not a leech. It sometimes doesn't seem fair, but it's my principles that will be compromised if I side with the Jones'.

Haysus Kreesto...what is this world coming to.

Ok sorry if I went on a sorta-off-topic rampage. It's just that while this makes sense to us .. it doesn't to very many. They're too self absorbed to fathom what lie beyond their impulsive desires.

On a side note, I think I want to take a few courses to better understand MY MONEY. I know how to stay out of debt, for the most part. I want to learn how to save more and invest wisely.

    Gold, huh?

Dave, the spending buying habits with spouse, that is probably why I would be terrified to marry again after what my X spouse put me through. LOL!

Don't feel bad, even without one, I was so broke when I started to look into this ecig device on this same forum. I had lost 2 jobs, and was on this forum trying to learn what to buy on credit while I was trying to go cold turkey. I had about a week of severe struggling, when new neighbors started blasting music 24/7 and pushed me over the edge.

I then decided I could NOT afford to go to the local store here in N.Y. anymore, not even for 1 more pack of analogs. The prices here are just too outrageous. So I went to the Indian Reservation.

On the way back, just as I said to my son, "This will probably be the last time we go to the Indian Reservation", (I really believed because of all you good people on this forum that this electronic cigarette device was going to work), I suddenly hear a siren and flashing lights. Oh, great, like things were not bad enough!

I ended up with three tickets related to my very old jalopy that I keep trying to hold together just to have some transportation and trying to keep above water. From there, I was terrified what was going to happen when I showed up in Court and did not have any money for tickets. To make matters even worse, my son who is multiply-handicapped was given a ticket. They said he did not have a seat belt on, but he did. My son cannot defend himself in a Court of Law, and not good with answering questions, especially when stressed out, and Courts are a Big One for Stress. Now I am thinking they are going to put me in jail because I cannot pay the tickets, and my poor son will not be able to care for himself. I will never forget how this journey to try to quit analogs started for me, given this story. I had ordered my Joye 510 kit, but I had not received it yet.

I knew when I got my kit and my one bottle of ejuice that I could cut the "Nic" down with VG if need be. Problem was, after I did get my ecig kit, the only place I could get VG without waiting for shipping or spending more money I did not have was to go to Wal-Mart. I could not get there, because the inspection sticker on my car was expired, thus explains one of the tickets I had received.

A really good Sumerian on this forum sent me some ejuice after I began to get ill from the high "Nic", or I may have given up at that point. I had a carton of analogs from the Reservation, and I still do. I could have easily gone back to analogs when I got ill. But instead, because of the help I received on this forum, I have not had a single analog since I got my Joye 510 kit and started without any analogs the following day.

As for what happened about the tickets and the Court, I spend much time praying. I also wrote a letter to the Judge about my son. I did not want to have to embarrass him in front of other people in Court by revealing all handicaps in public as to why he cannot answer for himself. I prayed that somehow I would only have to pay $50, and they would not stress out my son. My prayers were answered exactly as I asked. The Judge even winked at my son, and he smiled with such relief as we left.

As for the good Sumerian, who helped me from this forum, I was told to "pay it forward". I did just that finally on the 1st of this month. Besides showing this device to anyone I can, there is a girl who lives in the lower apartment from us who smokes. She finally revealed to me after I showed and let her try my ecig months ago that she too could not afford to buy one. Another single Mom struggling. I gave her everything I started with and then some once I got the VP-PT, and a few other things I long waited to get.

USBpassthroughVP, I know if I can do it with what I went through, I know you too will do really well. There really is so much to learn, and the people here are so knowledgeable and helpful. I know that you are in good hands here if you need any help or any support, don't be afraid to ask any of us. I believe this is important. And the fact you are already here asking questions shows you're already on your way to being free from analogs.

I almost forgot, you asked about where to put the drops. Dripping was already mentioned, but here is a video that shows how to top off your cart, instead of dripping. Also Dave is right, it is hard to buy every ejuice in every strength. You can always cut down the "Nic" strength with VG or PG. You can get VG at Wal-Mart. I would not recommend buying the highest "Nic" level of ejuice to start with. If you can afford it, it is also good to try some other flavors of ejuice. You can even mix a drop or two with whatever flavor you have picked to try to match whatever type of analog cigarette you have been used to in your cartridges. Sorry, I guess I am jumping the gun. You can buy pre-filled cartridges with ejuice, but I think most don't do this all the time because it is costly, so they may buy bottles of ejuice to either fill or top off their cartridges with. So make sure to buy yourself some extra cartridges, called "carts" if you go this route. There are some really excellent Videos on YouTube to show just about anything you may want to see how to do. Try this one about topping off your cartridge with a bottle of ejuice:

    http://www.youtube.c...h?v=q9PVrsCC5-0

Only difference, the Joye 510 does not have an inner cart like in this Video, but that just makes it easier.

Sorry guys for the long story, Hope this will encourage others that anything is possible, and Dave brought up the buying collecting habits. I also wanted him and his spouse to know without God and this forum, I would not be here doing so well! I thank God, this forum, and also a good friend and prayer partner who prayed with me during this struggle and recently (last month) passed away very suddenly. I always saw miracles happen whenever we agreed in prayer together for all we knew and all we could of this world, my heart is so sad now to know the world lost a real angel, my friend Marlene for whom I will try to carry on her same Love, Compassion and Prayers for others as well as her Great Faith!

USBpassthroughVP, you are in good hands here on this forum. I will be praying for you also!

noXious reacted to Popsicle in How Appeal Is Being Created For E-Cigs
This isn't a big issue, but there is certainly a quiet buzz about it, and I find it very interesting. Sorry if this thread has been done before. I didn't see it.

For MANY years, cigarette companies have used various types of imagery to associate cigarettes with what people want to be. A rugged cowboy smoking may appeal to men who seek to be viewed as tough and masculine. An attractive woman seductively smoking a cigarette may hook women who are after a sort of edgy and dangerous beauty. Since cigarettes have first been mass-produced, there has been a struggle to lock on to an audience and make them think that cigarettes are the key to their happiness.

At this point, this isn't widespread, but I see some electronic cigarette companies using the same tactics. Scantily clad women vaping, muscular shirtless men vaping. Look at the Blu site; I have heard a lot of people say that Blu won them over with the graphics displayed on their website, such as attractive people hanging out in a club, a DJ, and even a sharp-dressed man in a suit, all of them with a Blu in hand. Not trying to step on anyone's toes, but look at even the Maserati ad that has been around for a while now. The night cityscape with the cursive text conjures up images of limousines and clubs where you can't get in unless you're "on the list".

Now to get to my point...
Some people think that this is inappropriate and brings a bad image to the industry. Some of us scoff at suppliers for using these types of images in their advertising. I think that a lot of this goes back to the fact that it was originally done by our current enemies.

    What do you guys think?

My opinion? The cigarette companies use this marketing tactic to lure people into a deadly addiction. Is there really anything wrong with us using it to lure people into an alternative to that addiction that is infinitely healthier for you? You also have to keep in mind, there is a stigma around electronic cigarettes. A lot of people view them as silly, frivolous, and just lame. Vapers are losers. Vapers vape because they can't handle cigarettes. It is imperative that we change this way of thinking. You never know, that photo of a girl in a bikini holding a 510 might save a life. Tacky as it may seem, we are fighting fire with fire. We can play their game, too.
