  1. Just sent my email, it was super simple. I just hope it has the impact we need.
  2. I doubt you would find 3.7v batteries in Kmart or Walgreen's or Target, But you might be able to find cr123 at Radio Shack.
  3. The Vapor Talk Store has several different sample packs to choose from. Take a look at the flavors that are in each sample pack, and have fun with it.
  4. Battery Junction doesn't have 3000mah 18650s. Your best bet is MadVapes, they have Trustfire 3000mah 18650s.
  5. Doesn't the atty for the ego tank have a section of the barrel flare down around the cone section? That prtion would have to be cut off to use it on the provari. A dremel with a cutoff wheel should do the job, and if you don't mind doing a little work for it, this option would save you some money. You could always go with the stormy tank mod, it holds a little less juice than the MAP tank, but is a bit cheaper at $13.00 http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=592&category_id=93&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=85
  6. Everyone will tell you that the ego is a great choice to start with. You will also find that the ego is allot smaller than it looks in pictures.
  7. Yes, total BS (sorry) I also have periodontal problems which include receding gums and bone loss, and my periodontist says it is directly attributable to smoking. The high heat level from a burning cigarette causes the gums to absorb more of the deadly crap from the cigarette, causing poor gum health (the rest all snowballs from there). If anything, vaping should help your gums to heal and therefore feel better. It is also important to distinguish between sensitive teeth, sensitive gums, or both. Sensitive teeth is usually caused by erosion of the enamel, which causes irritants to penetrate to the nerves. That is the kind of sensitivity that sensodyne was developed to deal with.
  8. I have also noticed that there is a bit of inconsistency in the barrel size tolerance of atomizers that cause drip tips to fit tight in one atomizer, while fitting loose in others. If you have multiple drip tips, you could set up different ones with different thicknesses of O-rings. That way as the atomizer barrel tolerance changes, you will always have a drip tip that fits.
  9. A "mod" is a modified battery e-cig. It consists of an e-cig body which houses removable lithium-ion batteries. These are larger units that are not mass produced, but have great advantages over the mass produced units that look like cigarettes. First and most importantly is that the battery life is WAY longer. The removable batteries are cheaper to replace when they no longer hold a charge. Mods are available in a variety of voltage levels, including models that are adjustable voltage. Standard e-cigs that look like cigarettes are often referred to as stick batteries. In these models the e-cig is the battery, which means that when the battery no longer holds a charge it is the entire unit that you are replacing. Battery charge life on these models is about 2 hours, which hardly fits anyone's lifestyle. They hit good when the battery is at a full charge, but within 20 minutes the voltage starts to drop and leave you not as satisfied. I hope this helps, and if you want to catch up on terminology check out this post http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/9784-jargon-for-noobs/ For a more detailed description of the evolution of standard e-cigs to mods read this http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/8803-the-noobie-guide/
  10. Do you have a miltimeter? You could measure the voltage out of the battery, and you can also measure if the charger is outputting the proper voltage. Allot of these chargers will read surprisingly high when there is no battery in them, but will read about 4.7 when there is a battery in the slot.
  11. God help us! I really believe these are true... I feel like a VALEDICTORIAN !!!!! I handed the teller @ my bank a withdrawal slip for $400.00 I said "May I have large bills, please" She looked at me and said "I'm sorry sir, all the bills are the same size." When I got up off the floor I explained it to her.... IDIOT SIGHTING When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'it's open!' His reply: 'I know. I already got that side.' This was at the Ford dealership in Canton,MS IDIOTSIGHTING We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'NO, it's not..' Four is larger than two.' We haven't used Sears repair since. IDIOT SIGHTING My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes Iknow, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back. She sighed and went to get the manager, who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said 'We're sorry but we could not do that kind of thing.' The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change. Do not confuse the clerks at McD's. IDIOT SIGHTING I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.' From Kingman , KS IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for 'minimal lettuce.' He said he was sorry, but they only had iceburg lettuce. -- From Kansas City IDIOT SIGHTING I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, 'Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?' To which I replied, 'If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?' He smiled knowingly and nodded, 'That's why we ask.' Happened in Birmingham , Ala. IDIOT SIGHTING The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!' She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS IDIOT SIGHTING At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker who was leaving the company due to 'downsizing,' our manager commented cheerfully, 'This is fun. We should do this more often.' Not another word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. This was a lunch at Texas Instruments. IDIOT SIGHTING I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not turn on. A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office, no less. IDIOT SIGHTING How would you pronounce this child's name? "Le-a" Leah?? NO Lee - A?? NOPE Lay - a?? NO Lei?? Guess Again. This child attends a school in Kansas City , Mo. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong. It's pronounced "Ledasha". When the Mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she said, "the dash don't be silent." SO, if you see something come across your desk like this please remember to pronounce the dash. If dey axe you why, tell dem de dash don't be silent. STAY ALERT! They walk among us......and they VOTE
  12. Use your regular 510attys, never use a LR atty on a 5v device. A LR atty was meant to give you a similar to 5v experience, but on a 3.7v device.
  13. I hate toolbars as a general rule, but this one is just too damn useful. All your vaping needs at your fingertips is just the coolest thing. The problem is that I see most toolbars as a portal for spyware that can slow your computer down. They also take up space and reduce the viewable area of the page. Not one toolbar by itself, but it annoys me that allot of the programs you load on your computer tries to load some kind of toolbar. By the time you have yahoo toolbar and google toolbar and every other toolbar that's rammed down your throat, you have a shrunken screen and a slow computer. That is why when I load software, I usually uncheck the box to prevent these toolbars from loading. I hope that is not the case with this one, because after loading it, I really like it and want to keep it. It's the only one that I have ever thought about keeping.
  14. The mailman taking out a restraining order had me rolling
  15. One of the things that occured to me is that when I used to smoke, I would get loose tobacco and tubes, and make my own. I was doing this to save money, but I had also become a slave to my addiction. Building mods can be a fun hobby, but I would think that building your own attys falls into that "slave to the addiction" catagory. Since most of my attys have been lasting about 2 months, I don't think that 9 bucks every 2 months is my biggest expense, so I guess I'm missing the point. Maybe just to have in the drawer as an emergency atty, in case I forget to order in time and run out (not going to happen), I could always make one instead of going without. Alright, I'm just not feeling this one.
  16. I also like the 801 atomizers on 5v or higher models, in fact the Joye 302 is the best 801 style atomizer out there. It's my favorite hands down. As for the PV unit, I prefer the variable voltage option. 5v is good, 6v seems too much, so being able to adjust to about 5.1 - 5.2v is perfect for me. Sometimes I feel like I'm not getting enough (especially when breaking in a new atty) and I can crank it up a bit, sometimes the juice I'm vaping tastes a little burnt or no-existent, so I turn it down and all is good. I usually don't adjust it alot, but knowing that I'm not stuck at one voltage and have that customizable vaping experience is nice.
  17. It must be released because they raffled one off for Christmas.
  18. Fantastic!!!! Loved that he was passing the e-cigs around and letting everyone have a toot.
  19. As a rule I don't go for tobacco flavors, but as a juice review I'm going to give it a 10. That's one of the best single flavor juice reviews I've ever seen. The way it was broken down into all the different flavor over tones and undertones, as well as balance characteristics was very detailed. Awesome review zeroed4x, keep them coming.
  20. For variable voltage, there's always the Buzz http://www.notcigs.c...cchk=1&Itemid=1'>http://www.notcigs.c...cchk=1&Itemid=1 Or the Infinity http://www.notcigs.c...cchk=1&Itemid=1'>http://www.notcigs.c...cchk=1&Itemid=1 The Megalodon has options for running 5v or 6v http://www.electroni...-MEGALODON-c82/ I almost forgot, you could always get a tek mod from Jolly
  21. Great selection of boxes here http://www.polycase.com/
  22. "Nickle Mod", I like that....hahaha. The real point to making your own mods is that you can use any connector you like, any battery you like, and so on. I will be very honest with you about the "Nickel Mod", it's going to be very big and bulky. I have greatly sacrificed comfort for long battery life, and so I can't say that it's going to be a mod that I want to carry around with me everywhere I go. That being said, there are still quite a number of valad reasons for me to want to build this mod though. First of all, it's always easier to work in larger spaces to prove out ideas and concepts before scaling the size down. That's what I was saying at the end if the video, smaller flashlights and smaller batteries would make smaller and more practicle mods. I also wanted to share my findings on conductive epoxy and how useful it really is. These concepts also allow for a very neat and tidy layout inside the box, and be well built and reliable. It was never my intention to start building and selling mods on a large scale, I'm smply sharing ideas.
  23. This just in from new egg http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?nm_mc=EMC-SD012011&cm_mmc=EMC-SD012011-_-SD010311-_-item-_-singleitem
  24. Coils connected in parallel could not be independent and would fire at the same time. If each coil were 2.5ohms the combined resistace would be 1.25ohms. If 3.7 volts were applied, each coil would draw 1.48amps, but the combined current would draw 2.96amps from the battery.
  25. First of all the video was a mirror image, so it made it harder to read the meter backwards. The meter was on AC volts and the outlet was tested, then without switching to DC the output of the ego was checked. What you couldn't see was that the reading on the outlet was in AC volts, and the reading on the ego was in AC millivolts. This is basically ripple voltage (which is more than I would have expected) on a DC source.
