The KPT single coils are very spotty as far as quality is concerned, I've noticed it too, B. For mouth to lung tanks that aren't sub-ohm, I'm trying the version 2 of the Aspire Triton with 1.8 ohm coils. So far, all the problems I encountered on the version 1 seem to be fixed. I've been chain vaping on the V2 for the last two days, same coil, and just now starting to see a little lessening on vapor, which is very good for the dark, sweet juice I vape. It tends to gunk up coils within a day or two of non-exclusive use so for the Triton V2 coils to last this long is very good. With a light, less sweet juice, I could imagine the coils would last much, much longer.

Might think about giving this a whirl?

I might try that. My liquid is a coil killer too. I rarely can get more than 6-7 tank fulls out of one before it starts to get a gunked up taste and I just replace it at that point. I have a zip-loc sandwich bag completely full of dead KPT coils I need to send to Comp lol.

Im gonna see what these verticals do as far as taste and performance. I am not picky just craving a change and switching from KPt Singles to Aspire Verticals should be a pretty big change I would think.

I do find it funny that it says everywhere you have to remove the ring with the lines on it on the Davide in order to use KPT coils on it and I have been using KPT coils for two years without removing the ring with no leaking issues at all and it is always in my pocket getting spun and slung around. I took them off to try it and they do not like to wick so I put the extra piece back on. It worked for two years, if it aint broke I guess.....

I will be glad when these coils come in. I went with 1.6 ohm since everything seems to read a little higher than what it is supposed to be.

    Two things -

i think you need the redesigned base to fit the BVC.  And I don't know if the nautilus BVC fits, but you can try.

but I do know this.  The juice doesn't not flow thru the top of these coils.  It enters thru the small holes punched around the bottom.   However, if you want to prime them, I drop 2 - 4 drops directly in to the top then dab a little on each hole.  If you do this, you can virtually start vaping right away.   If you don't prime them you can just wait a few minutes like you have, but I'd wait a few extra minutes because the coils are larger/have more cotton.

I should add - if you have gurgling problems with the BVC (usually from over priming) , just jack up the power a little and burn the excess off briefly then drop power back to normal.  You will find that you can run the BVC with more power than you have been using but it shortens coil life a little bit.

Just what I've run in to with the BVC.  I still use them occasionally when I want a more Discreet vApe.

What do you mean by more discreet vape? Just curious. Do you get less vapor with the BVC than the standard coils?

I just remember people raving about them in the Nautilus as far as taste went.

I am just getting a little burned out on my current setup and am trying these coils to change things up a bit. Lately it seems the KPT single coils are much more hit or miss with quality than ever before. 1.8 ohms will read anywhere from 1.9 to 2.2-2.4 and I have never had a 1.8 ohm coil that actually read 1.8 ohms on my devices. I also change them about once a week or more and some guys I know are getting a month out of the BVCs.

I just need a non-subohm change. I do not do lung hits, even tried my daughters IsubG to see if I thought I would like it with a higher resistance but lung hits are for the bong not my e-cig imo (sorry mods).

All of mine are the kind with the extra ring on the base. Funny thing is it says you have to remove the extra piece to use KPT single coils in it and I have never done that and it worked just fine lol. Once I removed the ring it almost tastes funny, definitely different than with the extra part. I am living proof you do nto have to remove the extra ring to use KPT single coils I have done so for a long time lol.

I think I will prime so I do not burn the cotton. I am used to silica where it does not matter.

    They work in:

    Aspire K1 Glassomizer

    Aspire CE5

    Aspire CE5-S

    Aspire ET-S

    Aspire Mini Nova-S (2.0ml)

    Aspire Vivi Nova-S (3.5ml)

    Aspire Mini Nova (2.0ml)

    Aspire Vivi Nova (3.5ml)

    Anyvape Davide Tank

    Anyvape Mini Davide Tank

    Anyvape Peakomizer

  4. I have been using Anyvape Davide tanks for nearly two years. They are designed and come with Aspire BDC Coils but I have always used KPT singles in them. After seeing a couple co-workers using the Nautilus with the Vertial Coils and how much longer they last I decided to order a couple packs and give them a try.

Here is my question. Using a higher VG liquid (My flavor is "no PG added" but with flavorings they call it 65% VG 35% flavorings some contain PG) but the flavorings thin it out plenty to wick fine. I have read you need to "prime" these coils especially if using a higher VG liquid. They are organic cotton so I dont want to burn them by firing them dry and want to make sure I am doing it right when I use these.

Does anyone that uses-has used them primed them before using them? Should I do anything different than I have done in the past with my KPT single coils? I have always screwed them in let them sit about 5 minutes and am good to go but looking at these coils and the tiny holes I can see where wicking might take a little longer at first.

Also on a KPT coil the goal has always been to keep liquid out of the chimney but with these I have read the hols in the top of the coil is the main entry point for liquid which makes no sense to me because if the top of the coil is exposed how does liquid not run up the shaft and out the tip? It would seem if liquid enters through the top then there could not be a proper seal?

  5. I am down to checking the forum about once a week and I can keep up but the mobile has issues and that is about all I use unless at work and bored (like now). It just runs so slow I usually abandon ship and look at other things when I am having my personal porcelain throne morning alone time lol. The PC version has always been better but I think this mobile version is not that great but I am not on often enough anymore to get used to it.

Like I have said before I can only say the same thing so many times lol. I am a vaper but thats about all I have in common with todays topics so I just chime in here and there from work but rarely post form mobile anymore. I liked the mobile version we had when i first joined maybe better than any after personally.

  6. I never really try new flavors but when I did I always just used one of my many spare tanks to do so or just fill my tank with it and if I do not like it wash it and change the coil. I loathe Brick and Mortar stores...will not even go in one around here much less buy anything from them and it took a lot of trial and error to find my flavor. Never got into rebuildables and am not gonna start now. It just depends on how many flavors you are gonna try I guess lol. A DIYer could not do it that way cost effectively but a casual vaper could.

Heck you could buy a couple cheap glass tanks for under $10 and single coils at about 85 cents each and try your flavors while you are learning to build too.

I find the tasting bars at the shops worthless too because all the samplers here are 0 nic and when you go to the 18mg I use it tastes totally different anyway.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the tank section is plastic... so that rules it out for me to even consider.

This exactly. My 3ml tank will get me through an 8 hour commute easy even though I vape constantly when driving and always have another one full ready to go in case. Woudl be cool if glass maybe.

Tam, VapeNW.com still has Anyvape Davide minis and full-size for $6.25 and $5.99 ($6.99 for gold) respectively.  I just ordered a few of the minis for the SO to top her new VV eGo's with for work, and it never hurts to have a few $6 PIF tanks on hand, too :)

Should have looked here first lol. Ordered 4 Full Size to have on hand. Didn't really need them but with everything going to Cloud Cannon style I thought it good to have them on hand and at $9.99 hard to beat (except at VapeNW obv). I generally try to order from Sweet-Vapes only but they stopped carrying them and they are all I use lol.

  9. Not sure what I would do if Fuzion went away as I have vaped one flavor for approaching 3 years. I highly recommend them they have some good complex flavors but are not super cheap. My wife on the other hand loves Peppermint and we have tried them from everywhere but ECBlends has the only one she likes. Every other one has a candy-cane taste where ECBlends has more of the raw peppermint taste of altoids.

  10. I am running different juice in the two so maybe that's why I feel I think the nano I have hits easier.

I can't believe how much Ive learnt from all of you in a few days. Went to the dentist today and hardly had any  plack on my teeth but she said vape is about as bad on teeth!

I would switch dentists or at least call her on that misinformation. My father in law is a dentist on the board at UT Dental School and he said it was one of the best decisions I ever made for my teeth. The heat from analog smoke is far higher than the heat from an e-cig and it bakes tartar and plaque onto your teeth. There is no tar or discoloration with e-cigs. They are exponentially better for your dental health than analogs.

  11. Never heard of Sling but have a Fire Stick in all my TVs and love it. Now I still have ATT Uverse Cable as well because a lot of what I watch is not available streaming but being an Amazon Prime member and about $14 a month for Netflix and I find there is never anything I want to watch I cannot find. Amazingly efficient as well I can have 4 Fire Sticks going at the same time and not notice any speed issues with only 18mbs download speeds. We are big DVR junkies and always have 6-7 shows on in any given season recording.

Mainly got the Fire Stick because I love everything about Uverse except the Premium Channel On Demand selections are very very limited so for a few bucks a months its nice to have Netflix and Prime. Never found anything on Hulu I would want to watch.

  12. I'm a newbi here, so I hope ya'll don't mind if I jump in.  Vaped a couple of years back, but went back to analogs.  Had to have my Provari fixed, and now that it's home again, I'm vaping instead of smoking.  In 2 days have gone from 1.5 packs a day to 8 ciggies in two days.  I'm definitly vaping to quit smoking, but have no idea if I'll ever put my vaper down.  I'm at 24m now, and sure want to bring that down.

Good luck! I did 24mg most of my first year then dropped to 18mg where I am today and for the foreseeable future. Will be analog free 3 years in April and out of all my accomplishments dropping the smokes is one of those I am most proud of. That plus the savings basically make my boat payment lol.

  13. I am not sure I will ever quit but never say never. I like nicotine the same way I like a good glass of bourbon. As far as being enjoyable not sure I would describe it that way. For me it is enjoyable to not smoke cigarettes, be able to dip into the bathroom in a restaurant, business or airport and get my nic fix without risk of being caught smoking or missing a flight or having to go outside in the cold with smokers but dealing with the equipment, filling tanks, ordering stuff has ALWAYS been a hassle. Now regular equipment is in the minority....just try and find a tank now that is not sub-ohm and not a KPT, Nautilus or the becoming hard to find Davide. Everything is becoming so geared to the subohm user, the cloud blowers and the hobbyists that I feel us "regular" vapers are being left in the cold a little. For the "Single coil standard equipment same flavor for over two years" demographic our options at the suppliers I use get less and less and I have to wade through 40 new style (ugly imo) Sub Ohm tanks to find anything I would use.

For me it was always about a healthier option and saving money. I order my liquid 240ml at a time and that lasts about 2 months. I order my coils 100 at a time for 85 cents but the quality control of KPT single coils has never been worse. If anything would ever force me to just 'quit" vaping it would be when I cannot do it in a manner that saves significant money over smoking. At this point I would never go back to cigarettes but feel like if I wanted to I could drop the vape anytime but I just do not want to. There are times where my tank floods when driving or I am somewhere and go hours and hours without thinking about it but at my desk at work it is within reach and I vape away.

  14. Not many of our members here are cloud competition folks... 99.9% are vaping for smoking cessation or hobby, rather than competition.

If memory serves, from reading the local brochure from a recent competition (which I did NOT attend... never will actually), there were divisions, and listings of specific, allowable gear, as well as an "open-mechanical" category.

If you want to compete, check with the local competition organizers for a recommendation of gear, and you can't go wrong, or you may show up with a sub-par (or disqualifying) rig.  Some competitions only allow pure VG, some don't, so be aware of your juice limitations too.  Pure VG gives the max vapor production, BTW.

Personally, I think the cloud competitions are vaping's biggest enemy, and further damage vaping in the eyes of the pubic.  Huge clouds look cool to some, but to most, they look dangerous, menacing, and disgusting... and the media and government LOVE to use photos of cloud-chasers to support their regulation crusade, so they can say "look at this horrible, death-cloud!  We must regulate this and stop it... for the CHILDREN!".

To each his own... but what you do in public casts light upon more than just you!

Not sure this could be put any better. He should just go to a vape shop thats about all they cater to anyway as I am sure they are the sponsors of this silliness.

  15. If you had to pick just one setup (mod, juicer, tip, type of coil, battery, etc.) as your favorite, what would it be and why? It needs to be something that you own and use regularly.

    For me, it would be:

    1. Heatvape Invader Mini 50W TC mod (versatile and indestructible)
    2. eGo ONE clearomizer (small, adjustable draw, and never leaks or gurgles)
    3. Rebuildable CLR head with Ni200 coil & cotton wick (temp control and cheap to rebuild)
    4. Smok SS & Pyrex drip tip (never gets too hot)
    5. Efest IMR18650 2800mAh 35A battery (plenty of power and reliable)

Like most serious vapers, I have a lot of vaping gear (understatement) that I really, really like for various reasons, but this would be what I would grab if I had to pick just one.

IStick 50w (battery life and has yet to fail me, second would be Spinner 2)

Davide 3ml with 1.8ohm single KPT coil (No longer available in the configuration I like so I am nursing the 6 my wife and I share)

Standard drip tip is my preference (I used to be averse to metal tips but now prefer them)

Fuzion Vapor "Endless Summer" in 18mg (All I have vaped since for over 2 years)

I still have tons of backups for backups but my Istick is the favorite battery I have ever had. I am a fairly basic guy!

  16. Coils are not an issue, a decent tank that still uses them is. I order coils in 50 count cases and get them for about 75 cents each at sweet-vapes. I may could save a few cents on them but I'll pay a little extra to do business with a place I trust. If they don't have it I probably don't need it lol.

  17. My wife and I have 4 and no issues at all but I did kill one when I jumped in the lake with it in a lanyard and when I fired it the power stuck at 50w and would not turn off. That one sleeps with the fishes.

I clean my connection at every tank refill and make sure it stays as dry as possible. Like any electronic devise moisture is the enemy.

Now back no Knocked Up and sleep lol
