timinftl got a reaction from Uma in Battery Going "Rogue"?
Before I switched from 510 type ecigs I had occasion for one of my batteries to "go Rogue"; it was an automatic and decided to stay on continously burning the Heck out of a cart/head combination and didn't stop until it had devoured itself.
Next day I ordered my Vision Spinner and Protank...

If the flavoring is the only thing that has you going to this site, look around first. There are other vendors and one of them may have the one you're looking for. You might want to try Vapor Renu, or the The perfumers apprentice. Don't settle without looking around first. Besides, you might just find one that really fits your bill. Also there are many good places to get nic from.

What a shame! I hope he gets his act together soon and restores everything back to proper running order.

DOA attys, cartos, or barely working ones, is one of the main reasons I turned to the RBA's. Even these need to be of high enough quality to literally not be considered "disposables".

I tried to post this on a few different forums but they all seem to think its ok for a company to run like this.

Once or twice, yes. My batteries charge differently on different wall sockets. I don't know why, but they do.
I would remove the tank, press the button over and over, as if you're vaping, until the freshness is wore off. I don't know if your battery is chronically injured or not, you'll have to decide that for yourself and either keep it or toss it if it vapes correctly after the freshness is wore off. If it happens again, toss it. (in a safety bucket/can for batteries until you can drop it off at RadioShack or wherever). Maybe toss it this time. I really don't know.

Thanks Uma. I wasn't sure, and to be honest now everything seems fine on the tank I have on there now. Gone through about a half a ml with no more funky taste. Maybe it was just coincidence that I popped the coil on the first draw once putting it on the newly charged battery because the taste is still there on the other battery. Going to play it by ear and see what happens. I may have jumped the gun on the post, I just have never noticed any black particles floating around in my liquid but that could just be dirt as I have filled my tanks in all sorts of places and have never really examined them closely. I could have gotten something in there when I changed the coil since my "vape gear maintenance area" is very near my wifes "coffee grinding area".

If it does it again its history, I have a bunch of back ups now. I am also second guessing whether it is just the taste of the coil going out and not wicking very well, gonna change that when I get home. After using the KPT a while the top feeding T2s definitely have a different sort of taste. Looking forward to getting my T3S package Saturday to try the bottomfeeders exclusively for a while.

"taste still on the battery " ? Is that possible? Alcohol and a qtip?

Thats what I did and the qtip was black. I am used to cleaning them every time I charge them as a habit, but I must have missed this one too. As I continue to vape this I am increasingly convinced that I just so happened to blow a coil when I first fired up the freshly charged battery and thought there was something wrong. The residual taste was still on the battery when I put on the fresh tank. All is well now!

I am so impatient, I want my bottom feeding T3S's I ordered to be here today instead of Saturday lol. I cannot wait to compare. I have a feeling, based on the way the KPT works, that I am going to like the bottom feeders better than these top coil T2s. Maybe I can actually finish a tank of Strawberry Fields.

timinftl reacted to ArnieH in Exposing the Public to E-cigs - A good Thing
While, I beleive it is generally polite to ask permission before vaping in public or private establishments, and especially in confined spaces, I think the public needs to be exposed to e-cigs more. We need to get out there and use our devices where people can see it and we can explain and answer questions. So many people are simply not used to seeing anyone using an electronic cigarette. I am constantly getting stares and questions when I pull out my PV and start puffing some place. They look at me like I'm from another planet..

I can understand why some may think it can have negative effects on the impression the general public has of e-cigs (and lead to bans and such) when you just whip it out and vape, but I think it also has positive effects. The general public needs to see these devices in use on a regular basis so that they can become educated and accustomed to them, and understand that it is not smoking.

My prediction - this is gonna suck big time.

Maybe Jeff can start a "Town Hall" thread where we can discuss what will unfold in the coming months.

Can you imagine the black market that will emerge from this? I mean its not rocket science. Building a "home depot" vape will be easy. It's the juice is where they'll get you. There's a guy that just opened up a vape bar not far from me. Really does only juices. He must be a little worried right now.

*jumps up from chair* "jeffb Johnson is right! It's a conspiracy to make us stockpile!" *shakes fist angrily in the air*

Well this sucks. Anybody have any stories about tortured kittens? That would cap this day off nicely I think.

Isn't it nice of the government to step in and "protect" all the kids who's "parents" are too inept to control what their offspring buy online?

As Jason Mattera, spokesman for Young America's Foundation, said (paraphrasing William F. Buckley, Jr.) at the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference, "Hey, jackass, get your government off my freedom!"

I'm not familiar with the noflame brand so no help there.
There are several cig-a-like brands, mostly kr808 stuff, that have good reps
and have refillable cartos:Smokeless Image Volt and V4L(vapor 4 life) pop into mind,
If ya wanna go really small and cig like the joye e-roll/ovale e-mini has gotten
very popular but the carts only hold ~.5 ml of juice. They seem to be super easy to fill
and the PCC is neat too lol.

As for the batts they are all Lithium Ion so they all have the potential to overheat/vent/
cause fires. The autos may be more likely to have problems due to liquid getting inside
and causing shorts or switches to stick.

All batts can be hazardous and there are cases where cell phones, laptops etc..had batts go
    bad and cause damage.
The percentage of problems is small but the potential is there so caution and study are advised.
