  1. My first piece of advice is for you to ask your doctor. Just my opinion since I'm not a trained medical professional, but I would not vape just yet. Having experienced a dry socket with a wisdom tooth removal, I wouldn't do anything that would risk any kind of dry socket. If you need nicotine, go get some patches until you fully heal.

  2. I googled "vape pen 22 blinks 4 times" and got a link that let to a page that said this:

If LED light blinks as below, then it is working great.

    1. 8 seconds protection:the LED light will blink 5 times when the power button is held for longer than 8 seconds, and the battery will automatically shut down the output.

    2. Resistance protection:when the atomizer resistance is lower than 0.1 ohm or higher than 2.5 ohms, the LED light will blink 4 times and the battery will automatically shut down the output.

    3. Low voltage protection:when battery capacity is lower than 3. 3V,the LED light will blink 15 times and the battery will automatically shut down the output.

If LED light blinks as below, then it is malfunctional.

    1.LED light keeps blinking.

    2.LED light keeps lighting.

    Solutions:

Please try to use coil or tank which resistance is between 0.1 ohm and 2.5 ohms.

  3. I googled, "smok v8 stick blinks 4 times" and got a link to this information:

    1. 8 seconds protection:the LED light will blink 5 times when the power button is held for longer than 8 seconds, and the battery will automatically shut down the output.

If LED light blinks as below, then it is malfunctioning.

    1.LED light keeps blinking.

    2.LED light keeps lighting.

    Solutions:

Please try to use coil or tank which resistance is between 0.1 ohm and 2.5 ohms.

This means that the coil in your tank is too low in resistance and needs to be changed.

  4. Thanks, that does help a bit. I don't know how many watts your girlfriend is using but tell her to go down to the lowest (13 - 14). That might help. Also, when taking a draw, tell her to take the vapor into her mouth, hold for a split second before inhaling. That might also help to keep her from coughing.

What flavor of e-liquid is it? This could also be a contributing factor. Harsher flavors are cinnamon (like the candy), most citrus fruit flavors, and tobacco flavors. Her best bet would be bakery flavors like apple pie, vanilla, custard... those types are usually more smooth.

  5. Was she possibly talking about a "wick" instead of a filter?

Without knowing what brand and model of vaping equipment she's using, it's hard to troubleshoot the issue. It could be that the mod (if it's a regulated device), is set too high and she burned the wick. It could be the e-liquid you purchased is too high in nicotine, it could be any number of things.

Can you give us more specifics and details?

I read the story, and found it to be very confusing.

He died at John Peter Smith Hospital two days after crawling from the car.

The medical examiner ruled William Brown’s cause of death as penetrating trauma from an exploding vaporizer pen. His left carotid artery was severed, the report says. Alice Brown said doctors at JPS told her that William suffered a stroke inside the car and eventually had bleeding in his brain.

And then, in articles from varied reputable news sources, they said that he went into a vape shop for help/he never entered the shop but stayed outside in his car in the parking lot... he apparently didn't buy the mod/vape pen from that particular shop but was seeking help from the workers inside. No mention of what type of mod it was - whether it was a mechanical or regulated unit.

There are too many unknowns and left out details for this to make an impact on what really happened.  🙄

  7. From your picture it looks like your tank is empty. If you don't want to burn up all your coils, you might want to fill the tank with e-liquid. When you open the tank, double check to make sure your coil is tightened and it's not loose (don't over tighten or you'll have trouble getting it out to replace it later). Let the coil get saturated with e-liquid in the tank for about 10 minutes before vaping.

  8. Jeremy, while I understand you're in a hurry to get your problem solved, please do not put up multiple posts about the same thing in different places. I've merged the posts and moved them into the correct area so more people may be able to see it. Hopefully, someone will come along soon to give you the answers you seek.

In the mean time I googled your issue and came up with this youtube video. I hope it's helpful.

I also enjoy growing, just a small amount for personal use & consumption,.

The benefits of CBD oil, if the strongest and best parts of the plant are used, unfortunately there are many which are rubbish.

Hi Matt. This part of the forum is strictly for vaping related topics. We have a specific area for CBD related topics only. Please don't talk about CBD in the main forum areas. Thank you and welcome to Vapor Talk.

  10. First off I'd look into how much start up money you have, build a good sized inventory, know your state's laws on how to conduct business and taxes, get a warehouse to house your supplies, talk to banks that will be handling your money, find out which credit card vendor who will handle transactions for vaping supplies... that should keep you fairly busy to start.  Did any of that help?  :)

  11. Not having the same kind of mod and tank you're using I can't give you any advice other than what I was able to Google:

If your SMOK mod has a screen and it is all black, the most likely cause is that you have inadvertently entered ‘stealth mode’. This is easily rectified.

If you are not in stealth mode then you may need to update the firmware or the screen may have been damaged.

    • Deactivate stealth mode - You may have inadvertently entered stealth mode. You can deactivate stealth mode by pressing the fire button three times in quick succession.
    • Update firmware - You can update the firmware for most advanced SMOK mods by plugging the mod into your PC and selecting the right upgrade tool from this list on SMOK’s website.
    • Contact SMOK - If you are unsure how to update firmware or if you think your screen is broken, contact SMOK for support. Remember that your mod may still be under warranty.

Might give these things a try?
