I agree with Comp and Jake. You get what you pay for when you get "cheap" things. Get her the same set up you have, Nate. Isn't your girlfriend worth it?

Personally, I mostly use a single 1.8 ohm Kanger Pro Tank coil on my Davides. A couple of them I have a tiger coil from Compenstine at Fadora Vapor in them. He rebuilds the KPT coils, but I save these for special juices.

The IPV mini 2 70W is a very nice unit. I have the IPV 30W (Earthling talked me into two of these), and I like all three.

Also, use 80/20 on the ground beef. Get the grass fed no antibiotic beef and it'll really make a difference! We just had a prime rib in the oven tonight with asparagus and mushroom rice. No grilling for us tonight.

First, why are you vaping without any nicotine? Most people who start vaping are doing it to get off cigarettes/analogs, but start with nicotine and then step it down. To me, it seems almost like trying to go cold turkey off cigs by starting with no nic. Nicotine isn't the terrible thing the media and governments are trying to make it out to be, it's the 4000+ other carcinogens in cigarettes and burning tobacco that are more harmful, imo. Yes, more PG will/should give you more throat hit, but so will a higher nic level. It's the VG that gives you the vapor (not smoke). If it were me, I would go with at the minimum of 60 PG/40 VG or 70 PG/30 VG. The first will give you more vapor. If you smoked 20 cigarettes a day, I would go with a 12 mg (minimum) or 18 mg of nic. That will increase your throat hit by quite a bit. Look into getting an Eleaf iStick 30W or 50W for variable voltage/variable wattage battery. The 50W is going to be bigger and a bit heavier than the 30W. You might try with the 30W first? Or, if you want to stick with a pen style battery, you can't go wrong with the original Vision Spinner 1300 mAh (the Vision Spinner II at 1600 mAh is known to have some charging issues).

The reason why I recommended the pen style batteries is because they are cheaper and the new vaper can buy two. If his vape budget were bigger, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend an Eleaf iStick 30W or 50W but having no back up when one is charging or should one get lost or break... is not acceptable, especially to someone who is trying to get off and stay off analogs. Back ups. Have them. Then, get back ups of your back ups. You can never have too many.

If you're starting with $100 - $150, you need to keep in mind that you're wanting/needing to get a minimum of two batteries to start. At least two tanks and two 5-packs of replacement coils. If you're going to go with something with a removable battery, you'll need to get several of those as well as a separate charger. That doesn't include the e-liquid. If you're going with something like an eGo or Vision Spinner pen style battery, you'll need at least one (preferably two) chargers and a wall wort/AC adapter. In the beginning, you're not going to know what you like so it's going to be trial and error. Small sample packs would be what I'd recommend in a 24 mg nicotine, 50 PG/50 VG blend. An RTA stands for Rebuildable Tank Atomizer. Most often, these are the ones where you build the coil yourself. This requires a working knowledge of Ohm's Law to keep yourself safe, an Ohm meter, tweezers, torch (recommended), wire, wick, and a basic knowledge of batteries, safety and vaping in general. I would not recommend a new vaper start with an RTA. What I would recommend for anyone starting, is a basic pen style battery like a Vision Spinner, a charger, AC adapter, two or three Kanger Pro Tank (KPT) or Pro Tank mini (Anyvape Davide or Davide mini are very similar to the KPT but perform better in my opinion), two 5-packs of 1.8 ohm single KPT coils (all tanks named use the same coil), and some sample packs of different flavors of juice. That would come in around $150 or a little under. For me, I prefer the KISS method when starting something new. You can always upgrade later when you have more knowledge and know what you're looking for and like.
