  1. Let me throw in my 2cts worth. I've dealt with others and I've dealt with Chris at VT and I can say without a doubt that Chris goes above and beyond what most would call customer service. You wont find a more dedicated person to his customers or his website. In short...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...and with VT you get even more!!!
  2. Hey !!! who mentioned the spankings???? That may be cause for a review and some serious punishment.
  3. I've been vaping for over a year now. Haven't had an analog ...not that I haven't wanted one now and then. smoked for over 40 years. Smoked 2-4 pks a day. feel better than I have in a long time...Still cough some in the morning, but I think that's more sinuses than vaping. No health concerns that I know of....but I don't wheez anymore. And I can actually climb stairs without feeling like I'm going to die. All in all it's been a great change. No more breathing trouble...no more smelly car..clothes..or nic fingers. And I want to add that I give Chris and the vapor talk gang all the credit for helping me make the switch. Without the help of the members I probably wouldn't have stuck with it.
  4. Ripple...use to drink a lot of that when I was in the Navy...lol Glad you're enjoying your new found treats. It only gets better as you go along. Good luck and happy vaping.
  5. I seem to remember someone putting up a link somewhere for a battery charger that could charge just about every battery out there. But I can't seem to find it. Can any one help??
  6. You might want to keep them for a while....as your taste changes you might find you like it better down the road. A lot of people use them to mix with other flavors to make a unique flavor of their own. Or you can trade or pay it forward. Just don't trash it yet...it may come in handy later. As for the clutter.....if you have a nice box with a lid that would help for a start. I started out using the boxes my units came in. Nice sturdy boxes with the little magnets in it. But soon you'll find you out grow that and need more. You can get some organizer boxes from a craft store or get a nice tackle or tool box with compartments. They work really well. Try looking around at Home Depot...Lowes...and craft stores.
  7. Hate to break it to ya....but pretty much everything except some mods are made in good ole China.
  8. I haven't heard of this vendor before, but the Vt store has 900mAh mega batteries for $24.00 with great customer service. Also...Liberty Flights in the UK has 900 mAh batteries for around $18.00 with their 20% off. And in a lot of colors too. The only draw-back with them is it takes about 5-7 days for it to arrive, but shipping is cheap and the service is good. Good luck and happy vaping.
  9. I personally haven't had that problem but I've heard of this happening. Just be careful and keep an eye on it. Good luck and happy vaping.
  10. Gotta love those "extras" don't you!!!!
  11. Don't see where it should be a problem using the atty if it fits and doesn't over heat when you fire it up. It should work fine and you can always keep it as a back-up.
  12. Congrats on the eGo. Once you get over the learning curve you wont believe how much you'll love it. Kit is right....up your nic level a little and try a LR atty or cartomizer. It will make a world of difference. Good luck and happy vaping.
  13. Glad to hear that they got knocked on their ***. The worst part about it is that a lot of vendors lost a lot of money because of their controlling ways. If I were a judge I'd make the FDA reimburse every one they took shipments from.
  14. Thanks Chris....can't say it enough times, she's beautiful. Enjoy it as much as you can....she's growing fast. Make sure you get as much footage as possible...you'll want to have it later when she's all grown up. Congrats on the little princess.
  15. Well like a lot of people here will tell you, the eGo is a good place to start. It has great battery life and is a real work horse. You can use atty's or cartomizers and it will last for quite some time. I get around 6-8 hrs off a single charge and I vape constantly. Also...the new usb eGo model is great because you can charge it while you're vaping at your computer or anywhere there is a usb connection. You really get a good bang for your buck. So my advice is... if you don't want to be charging every hour or so and you're not worried that it doesn't look like an analog...go for the eGo....you wont be disappointed. Good luck and happy vaping.
  16. Sounds like you've had one hell of a time with atty's. Don't know how to help you with this other than to say I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. For what it's worth...although they cost a little bit more, the janty Dura/eGo atty's carry a 6month warranty if that's any help? Good luck and happy vaping.
  17. Very funny. And they're just like that dog....they just get bigger and bigger.
  18. Welcome to Vapor Talk. Glad you've joined us. Well you have two ways to go here. If you want something that's close to the size of a regular cigarette then I would have to suggest the 510 w/manual battery...or a KR808D-1 that uses cartomizers. They are both fairly slim and work quite well. However the battery life on these is rather low. They will generally last about an hour to an hour and a half before you need to recharge. Now if you want an outstanding unit I would have to suggest the eGo. Uses the same atty's and cartomizers as the 510 but with better battery life and much better performance. It's a bigger device, but not huge. Looks nothing like an analog but works great. You can usually get between 6-8 hrs of use for a heavy vapor before it needs to recharge. Look around at several vendors and do some research before you decide. But never never buy a unit from the mall kiosk. I'm sure others will come in and help you also so I hope you find what works best for you. Good luck and happy vaping.
  19. Welcome to Vapor Talk. All good advice there. It does seem a lot to get started, but think how much you'd spend on analogs for a week and it wont be long before you're ahead of the game. Unless you go nuts and buy a lot of expensive "mods" the standard 510/eGo units should last you a good long time. Once you settle in to your weekly or monthly routine you'll see that it will work out cheaper. But the health benefits alone will be worth the money in the long run. So enjoy and keep us informed. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask. Good luck and happy vaping.
  20. Can't believe nana let it go so easy...lol Back-ups back-ups back-ups. If you are buying a standard 510 kit then get at least one extra battery. That way you'll always have one ready while another is on charge. And get a few extra atty's and you might look into a pack of cartomizers. It wont take you long till you find out just how little those standard carts hold and how much trouble they can be. If you think you might like to try direct dripping..you might want to get a drip tip. Go cheap at first till you see if you like it. You can also take out the filler from the carts and use them as just a mouthpiece. As far as juice goes..well that's a tough one. Flavors are different for everybody. What I like you might hate. So look around at some of the vendors and try some samples before you get any larger bottles. The VT store has what I think are some great flavors, especially the Midnight and Sweet Dawn. But the others are great too. It's all a matter of your taste...do you want tobacco like or fruity flavors? Sweet or savory? The choices are endless. But trying lots of different flavors is half the fun of vaping. Keep us informed and if you have questions...well don't hesitate to ask. Good luck and happy vaping.
  21. Funny....but watch your back...lol
  22. No problem...hoping we can do a little something to help out.
  23. Okay fellow Vapor Talkers how 'bout we all chip in and see if we can't help out a little. On of our members..Juliery...is in need of the soft caps from the cartomizers. Since she can't find them from a supplier I see no reason why we can't do our part and help out. Many of us use the 510 or kr808 cartos. and we either take them out to use a drip tip or we just throw them out with the cartos. Well how about if we all start saving them and when you get a good handful sending them to her? Since they aren't very big and they don't really weigh much we can send them in a standard envelope for the price of a stamp. This just seems like something this forum was meant for. Helping out a fellow vaper. She doesn't need the hard plastic ones, that's what she's trying to replace, just the soft rubber ones that are on the 510's So whatcha say??? Can we do this? I'm sure she would appreciate our help. Thanks I know we can!!! If you send her a PM she can reply with a name and address to send them.
  24. There is a young lady on the forum by the name of Ofortuna...if you beg her really nice she may send you a sample of her Wint-o-green juice.( no promises) that is just fantastic. To me it tastes like ben-*** smells. Just a fabulous minty flavor. Other than her's I'd say try DIYFlavorshack.com. Dawn will brew you up some good flavors. Good luck and happy vaping.
  25. Ok...so I just tried it and found that the soft caps from the 510 cartos fit in the 808's(wasn't sure). So I too can start saving you the soft caps from my cartos if you'd like? For some strange reason I've been saving them anyway every time I put on a drip tip or get ready to throw one away. Don't know why??? I don't have a lot of them but I think I have about a dozen or so if you're interested? Just send me a pm with a name and address and I'll send you some when they start to mount up. C'mon VaporTalkers....let's see if we can't help with this !!!
