From the article:
"It becomes difficult to defend our (smoking cessation) claims, when the majority of the vaper lifestyle promotes vaping as a leisurely lifestyle activity. For every person that represents vaping as their solution to quit smoking, there are ten who promote it for cloud chasing and a hobby."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to the article, it's clear what the majority of vapers want. If you don't believe it, then just go to any vaping web site or B&M and look what they're selling.
I have zero problems with cloud chasing as long as it's not done in confined public spaces (same etiquette as for smoking), and vape shops (of all places) should have adequate ventilation for quickly clearing up vapor clouds.

Just ordered a Kanger subtank mini, 8 Samsung INR 18650-25r's (for my Flaskman vapor flask), one pack of subtank mini nickel occ coils, and tempered ni200 (29ga, 28ga, 26ga) from the UK (couldn't find tempered, anywhere in the US at the time).
Why do you need tempered?
From another forum:
About the Tempered Ni200. It is good. Until you dry burn your coil. And then it becomes Annealed again. IMHO, using twisted Kanthal and Nickel or pure Nickel 26 AWG is working better for me. And it is sturdy enough. Here is 26 AWG Ni200 Kayfun V4 for example:

Just going by what Phil Busardo said in one of his videos about TC. Since Ni200 carries such a low resistance, it's not such a task to find the right number of wraps to stay in the specified range.

I want a TC mod so bad that I can hardly stand it.
I've been wanting one for a while now but the prices have been out of my budget until this one. I was ready to save up $189 for a Vaporshark RDNA but now I don't have to.
-
I'm sure that all the major manufacturers will be making nickel coil heads in the near future.

Was it something I said? lol

You can use Kanthal A1 or Nichrome if you want to, but TC won't work with those. In order to take advantage of temperature limiting, you have to use Nickel wire.
-
Just as in other mods, it depends on the wattage you're vaping at...I'd use high amp batts in any case.
-
One thing I can tell you is that when using nickel wire (required for TC), you can build your coil according to the space you have to build in and not worry so much about hitting a target resistance like you have to do with Kanthal A1.

Even at lower voltages, when the wick dries out, the temperature of the coil skyrockets. TC effectively prevents that from happening by limiting the max temp to whatever you set for a limit. Ive heard that 420F is what most people use to prevent cotton wicking from burning.

Ok. Clue me in. What is temperature control and how does it work?
Temperature control is like a speed limit. You set your temp limit for just below the flash point of your wick and it keeps it from burning. You can press the fire button with a completely dry cotton wick and you won't burn it. Dry hits are so painful because when there's no juice in the wick, it starts to char. No more dry hits with temp control.

For me, it's not about the water resistance...it's the fact that it's got temp control for under $70. That makes it hard to pass up. No more dry hits or scorched cotton wicks.

Seems nice, the reviewer though is a twit.
Doesn't seem to grasp the significance of temperature control, does he?
-
AND it's less than half the price of the Vaporshark RDNA...under $70!

I bought the small version for the missus a couple of weeks ago and she loves it, but the tank capacity was too small for her liking, so I got her the 2.5ml atty and claimed her 1.8ml atty for myself. I have to say that I, too, am really impressed with it's performance. I use the 1.8ml atty on my Smok Xpro set to 13.7 watts with the 1Ω coil head and the airflow restricted for a good mouth to lung inhale. It's replaced my Smok Dripper RDA (on the Xpro) as my take-to-work setup because it's leak-proof and holds just enough juice to get me through the workday.

I just bought a 40 watt KangerTech KBox from My Freedom Smokes on sale for $25.95 ($25.79 shipped using reward points from previous purchases and coupon code "ECFDISC14").
Perfect fit for my 25mm Subtank

Your Clapton is a nice looking coil. I've been tempted to make one, but it looks like a pain to wrap properly.

Heatvape Mini 50w Mod With Temp. Control

No apology necessary...I'm all about finding out what works well and what doesn't. It appears that the Xpro M80 has some issues with ramp up time, and even with the latest firmware, it looks like it lags well behind the Vaporshark RDNA (DNA40 board). I'm still trying to find out how the Heatvape Mini compares to the RDNA as that seems to be the benchmark.
