Either ones will work on your voltage range. The lower ohm range (2.1-2.4) will give you a warmer vape with more vapor.

Without using any adapters, I have very successfully used many 510-thread delivery devices on my eGo batteries, including (but not limited to) CCV 1.7Ω SC Resurrector Cartomizers, Boge 2Ω SC Cartos, a SmokTech 1.7Ω SC eGo Cone Carto, a Smok Tech 510 2Ω Atomizer, a Vision ViVi Nova 1.8Ω Tank Atomizer (never leaked a drop), and Vision V2 and V3 (rebuildable) 1.8Ω Clearomizers (never a leak here, either).

Using various adapters, your choices are virtually endless. With the standard eGo batteries, you'll probably want to go with a low resistance carto, tank, or atty, because of the lower voltage that device provides. With the Twist, you can use pretty much anything you want, provided it's 510, or you have purchased the proper adapters for the various other threadings out there. I have used 510-eGo, 510-KR808D-1, 510-RN4081, 510-510 (riser).

Just remember, you'll probably want to vape at somewhere between 6 and 8 watts of power if you're just starting out (so you don't pop a coil), so you'll need to decide on what the resistance needs to be for the carto/tank/atty you purchase for your standard eGo battery. You can use the online calculator here by simply filling in your battery's voltage and desired wattage...click "calculate" and you will be provided with the resistance in ohms for the device you'll need to buy. I prefer 1.7-2Ω delivery devices on my 3.7v batteries, so that puts me at 6.8-8 watts of power.

I recently quit smoking and used an e-cig do so. As a rookie I know very little so when I was doing my research I read a ton of great info on teh 510 T and ended up FV. I absolutely love it and can't put it down.

Yes, it's the eGoT (1000 mah) and has 510 threading. Both the kgo and the ego are pretty much the same. The eGo is a bit more expensive than the kgo, though. You can buy an eGo battery for about $17.95 or so.. where a kgo battery is only $8.50. Please someone correct me if you've found cheaper prices. I can understand the price difference.. the eGoT battery is more sturdy, not as flashy--more discreet. There is a power difference, but it's almost negligible, imho. So, even if you have to get 3 egoTs to 2 kgos (and that's a bit of overkill), I think it would be worth it. MInd, I had an kgo fail on me after less than a week, along with its charger... so, I'm sure that adds to my reservation. I had a charger fail on me when charging my eGoT.. but the battery is fine... more than fine.

By the time I start a new carto what is left in there is pure funk.That is why I change carto's.Not sure I would mix that in with fresh tasty liquid.Not all the liquid gets vaporised and what gets left behind is what cause atties and carto's to stop working good.

A ultra-super-mini ProVari the size and shape of half smoked analog that can read my mind and deliver the flavor and the amount of vapor I'm thinking about at any time... and powered by cosmic radiation that is ready available so I don't have to charge it.

Until that comes out. I like my ProVari mini but I need to try other delivery methods. I'm open for suggestions....

I did find a place that sells the emdccs for $9.95 for a pack of 5, and a co-op that sells the xl dual coil cartomizers for less than a dollar each (about 60 for $58)... so, that's good.

I haven't heard a peep out of my brother since Wednesday, so I'm just trying to stay positive. In retrospect, and don't hate me for this you guys, I think I would have gone with the ego setup.. I think they are of better construction. The kgos are a bit more powerful... really good for emdccs, but I just "feel" that the one little ego (1000 mah) that I have is just constructed better. It feels more secure... and..
I think they may even last longer.

Mind you, I've had issues with the chargers on both models.

Well, it has begun.. my brother started Vaping exclusively 3 days ago. I spoke with him yesterday and he said that other than the first day when he felt a wave of depression, he is no longer craving a cigarette. He's quite amazed, actually.. very much surprised. And, he's loving the emdccs. I know that we may hit a rough patch right around the 2 week mark, and I am not sure how I'm going to deal with that one--one day at a time--but for the moment, he's perfectly content. He says the e-liquid from Liberty is a tad harsh on the first draw (Menthol Tobacco), but otherwise he's enjoying the taste. I have to remember to not talk about other flavors. As a noob, ignorance is bliss, I think.

@Monkey.. The Peppermint, double flavor, 70/30 sounds really good. I'm going to wait to suggest that to him, however.. If he starts faltering, I may just send that to him along with some sample coffee-like, fruit, and sweet flavors.. and maybe some Bobas Bounty.. Gorilla Juice.. and, and.. lol!

One thing that concerns me is the price of the emdcc,s! He loves them, but has anyone noticed how much more expensive they have become??? I'm going to have to find another cartomizer setup that is just as good. So far, I know that the Boge 2.0 LR cartos are not as good, imho. The only thing that has come close to me is the 306 atomizers. But, he already said that he's not interested in atomizers... too much fiddling. He likes things to be simple. When I spoke with him, he actually had already pre-filled 6 out of the 10 emdccs.. Oiy..

Yes, but an atty will last 3 weeks! And you can change flavors. An emdcc only lasts for 5 to 7 days, one flavor. I go through about 3 a week with refills because I like to have different flavors. I guess you pay for the convenience of not having to drip all the time. So, if an atty is $10 for 3 weeks with the same use, then the emdccs will run $45 in as much time -- minimum. And that doesn't even include e-liquid.. so, say another $30?

Still, my cigarettes would have cost $105 at $5 a pack for 3 weeks (pad). That said, I didn't quit cigarettes to save money. So, the best bet for my brother would be to not introduce him to other flavors for as long as I can... and to see if I can get him to start dripping. I think you go through less e-liquid while dripping, less cost all around.

Just a thought: If the cost of e-cigarettes become comparable to the cost of smoking, I think it would hurt the community more than they know. The cost of just getting started is worth it.. but if the cost of upkeep and continuance continues to increase as it has in only the few short months that I've been vaping (about a 25% or more increase)... I see real problems there. For now, it's within my budget, and I have room to play with, but that's not the case for everyone. As people on tight budgets try to economize, excessively reusing cartomizers.. or even innovating and modifying e-liquid delivery systems.. Things are liable to get out of hand. I understand that people are trying to make a living.. but with the tenuous situation that we are all in,... I just think things need to slow down a bit.

Just my 2 cents. For me, I'm happy with the vaping world and its community. I just want to keep it that way.

I would think that pharmaceutical glycerin is better suited for vaping than food grade. The skin protectant I use is 99.5% glycrin and USP and food grade that I saw says may contain traces of nut or peanut. I've used both but generally not more than 20%. PG is a much better flavor carrier and makes for a better throught hit. I would go with all PG If I had to choose from one or the other.

There is no such thing as pure nicotine,or at least you should never try to obtain it. A couple of drops could drop anyone dead by just getting it on your skin. There are some suppliers that will sell 100mg per ml(vg or pg) but even this is to dangerous to work with IMO. Personally I use 60mg per ml but since I vape 18mg/ml I could get away with using 36mg/ml. No matter what you need to be carefull and keep out of reach of children and pets. 60mg/ml probably won't get a smoker or vaper sick if it got on you skin and you washed it off right away. 100mg/ml probably would and if anyone ever drank any amount of any dosage they could get really sick or worse.

100mg/ml=10% nicotine by weight and very dangerous. Imagine how dangerous 100%pure nicotine would be!

As for non-nic ingredients. Walmart or local bakery or pharmacy for VG, Local bakery, craft store, ecigexpress for flavors. Tractor Supply sells PG which I think is USP. I got a small bottle of PG from BluemistVaping but for a $19 you can get a gallon from Tractor Supply, so long as it's suitable. Does anyone know for sure? There's one right up the street from me and they have it in stock but I never checked into it.

I've been mixing my own for about two months now. I ordered a gallon of each PG and VG from Amazon.com, Dr. Adorable Inc, VG for 10 lbs, which is around a gallon, for $19.99 (though I think that was a special and it is normally $29.99) And I got the PG I want to say it was $39 for a full gallon. I've barely made a dent in my VG and the PG is about 1/3 of the gallon gone, since I tend to do a 60 or 70% PG to a 40 or 30% VG. I also have been brewing my own tea flavor using the PG, there's a little waste with that, but I do a half a cup at a time because it only has a shelf life of about two weeks before it goes green and tastes funny. Also wasted a couple of cups on bad brews, but that's the nature of trial and error.

For Nicotine, I've tried a couple different brands, I ordered a 30 mil 60mg nic from ecigexpress for my first try. Between me and my boyfriend we finished off that 30mil bottle in three weeks, it seemed to be accurate for nic levels. But I am completely sold on using Myfreedomsmokes. It's 100 mg nicotine, I got the 120 mil bottle and in almost a month we've used less than a 1/3 of the bottle. I kept my 60mg nic bottle from ecig and sharpie marked 100 mg on it and refill it with a syringe from the large bottle. It's much easier to work with if it's in a drip top bottle. I only use gloves when I am filling the nicotine bottle from the big bottle. Though if you are prone to getting stuff on you I'd recommend using gloves whenever working with the high levels of nicotine. I did at first, but I never get it on myself from the drip bottle, so I don't bother anymore. I mix all my bottles of juice to either 18mg for me, or 22mgs for my boyfriend (he likes it a little stronger.) I haven't had a single problem.

For flavors, let's see, Flavor Art is good, LorAnn is good, and I absolutely love The Flavor Apprentice. I wasn't that impressed with Cappellas, though taste is subjective, they just seemed really weak compared to the other three. I go through ecigexpress for the Flavor Art and LorAnn, though LorAnn also does have a site of their own, and it is a tad cheaper than the secondary venders are. I go directly through The Flavor Apprentice, because that is the cheapest way to get the flavors. Most are only $1.40 for 4ml. The higher concentration of TFA and Flavor art make your dollars stretch. I can mix many more bottles out of those two brands than I can any of the other's I've tried.

I start with 4ml bottles of flavors, I don't ever get larger ones until I know I like it. Like the Honey or Tobacco flavors from TFA...the honey flavor has to be diluted so much before it can be used, three drops in a 5ml bottle of distilled water makes it useable as a subtle flavor, otherwise it overpowers everything, clogs cartos, and burns out attys.

I also like the Sweetener, sour, and koolade (gives you a cold hit) from TFA. I just put an order in for 30 new flavors, I'm goint to give the Kiwi and a few of the newest flavors a go this week. I've been vaping a mix I called Pomegranate on Ice. With the koolade in it it tastes just like a cold pomegranate drink, add a little alcohol flavor, like rum, and it tastes like a mixed drink, though I can't vape that for very long. Chocolate Wintergreen Menthol is also a flavor I could vape non stop for days without switching. The double chocolate (clear) version from TFA is probably the best I've had so far, though I am trying the dark one this week.

In conclusion, to get the best prices on product you have to spend a good several hours searching through sites and for sites. I've got more links than I can count in my favorites, I had to put it in a folder of it's own to keep them organized. And I always stay on the look out for other places that might have things that are used for vaping, like the PG and VG, as long as it is food grade product it is okay to use for vaping. You just have to be certain it is. I also try to avoid any of the Chinese juices. The couple I have tried as samples we horrible. I don't trust their juice. Their regulations are not nearly as strict as the USA's and Europe's. There were two reasons why I started DIYing my juices, I wanted the freedom to play with flavors, and it is more cost effected on my budget. You're going to save the most by buying gallon jugs of PG and VG and the larger quantities of Nicotine.

I was a pack to a pack and a half a day smoker. That's nearly $300 a month on analogs, that's not including my boyfriend who was also a pack a day smoker. Since we've switched, the amount I've spent on the bulk purchases and all the flavors I've gotten so far and have coming, I haven't even spent what we would spend in a month's time on analogs.

@Monkey Personally, I would like to say I am pretty ballsy. BUT, I would not mess with pure nic. You might be able to save some more cash that way...but when Nic isn't bound to a carrier, like PG/VG, it is extremely quick to be absorbed into your skin, and possibly deadly.

60mg of nicotine is considered a deadly dose, but when you get even 100mg/ml premixed liquid on your skin, you have a FEW seconds. With pure it is almost instant, and very very scary to me. With lower nics, like 24 and below, you have even longer, and less potential for hazard.

If you have ever had slight nicotine overdose, from vaping too much, too quickly, to high of a nic strenght, you know what I mean. REALLY SCARY.

I would go with the premixed, every time. Pure nic is just TOO much of a risk. Most people say anything over 50mg/ml is too much of a risk, and I would agree. If you don't have gloves/apron/plenty of protective equipment, don't mess with anything over 50mg/ml.

DON'T EVER VAPE ANYTHING OVER 36mg/ml, and that is ONLY for super high users. I was a 2PAD smoker, and with 24mg/ml I am more than satisfied.

@twelveday The BEST way to start DIY, pick up a few flavorings you think you could add to your current liquids, and play with them a bit. I like my blueberry liquids to have some pomegrante in them, but that isn't really possible from many vendors at a cheap price. So I buy cheap blueberry liquid at my 24ml/mg strength, and add some extra blueberry and some pomegrante. I would recommend:
2-3 flavors you think you will like in 6ml or lower sizes,
a 3-6ml syringe,
some empty 5ml bottles, unless you have extra from stuff you have previously vaped.
This way you can doctor up whatever flavors you currently have and see if you enjoy it. For under 15 bucks you can pick all this up at just about any DIY site.

I've tried Winston from Wordup. It's one of thier better tobacco flavors imo. Last I knew they have an option for all of thier juices to be PG, VG, or 50/50 mix. I always got 50/50 mix but if I were to make it myself I would make it 80%pg 20%vg. Some supliers will not disclose thier percentages and will only say that thier juice contains both or one or the other.

I used to smoke kools about 10 years ago. And oddly enough, the e-liquid I'm using right this minute tastes just like kools (to me, at least). It's peppermint, but not like peppermint "candy" tasting, not sweet. I think it's great you're helping your brother!
