  1. Ok, I'll give the 12 a go, and see. And after my last experiment going to the hour long banking exercise without vaping, if I can't soon find lower mg juice, I'll try not vaping an hour or so before sleeping. I'm so brave! Bring it on! It would be so great to sleep through the night without having to drink all the available beer in the neighbourhood
  2. OMG! Scary. I recall getting 800+ in high school before I even had to serve Saturday detention......... I better be careful.
  3. Ahh that explains a lot Mr. Bebop12. Now I don't feel so special!
  4. Interesting Mr. Jasonculp. I too tried everything available in my teens and early 20's. You want to try the red pill or the blue on. Both! I made a decision that I'd either continue doing everything offered, and I mean everything, or do everything else. The only thing that kept me off the street corner was the idea I gave myself that if the doc ever said I had terminal whatever, I'd head back to that street corner. But beer and cigs are legal, so that's what I used like forever now. And the greatest thing like vaping is so effective that I'm surprised the inventor isn't given a Knighthood! I NEVER thought I'd be able to give it up, much less over 500 days! It's as close to a miracle I ever expect to see. Keep on keepin' on!
  5. Moses supposes his vapour's like roses. But Moses supposes erroneously. Cuz nobody's vapour's exactly like roses, As Moses supposes his vapour to be.
  6. I just had another thought. Quitting smoking is really now fun! I've never let myself even dare to think this. I am so OCD about smoking and I don't ever want to go back to it, but I've never really allowed myself to think of vaping as fun. If, in my warped mind, I actually enjoy it, maybe I'll feel the need to go back to damaging myself. Intellectually, this makes no sense at all, but somehow it seems risky to get too comfortable, as you never know what's sneaking up on you. But after I really enjoyed chatting with people while waiting my turn at the bank, and getting back in the car and happily spying my vaping stuff, and then taking a few enjoyable (not craved) hits I suddenly realized I'm actually having fun and pleasure with this. If quitting had been this easy years ago, or governments had spent to develop an actually functional quitting device, I'd have quit then. To quote the ubiquitous McDonald's, " I'm lovin' it".
  7. I really think if the FDA hadn't gone for 'Big tobacco is covering up how addictive nicotin is' idea which was easy to sell to non thinking smoking nazis, and gone instead for contents disclosure, we'd have had an easier time sorting out the addiction in our minds. But no, they made nocotine the bad guy and want to put graphic pics like dead babies and lung cancer mri's and smokers using stomas to get their fix, (we have those in Malaysia, collect all four kids) instead of giving us credit for having a brain in our head and duh all know that smoking damages health and shortens life. Those of us who have tried the patches and gum and fake cigs for the hand to mouth know full well those aren't effective. I've tried everything from hypnosis, to wellbutrin and all the patches etc. I understand there are supposed 'improved' drugs, but with many side effects. Wellbutrin sorta actually worked, but my sig other woke me one night saying he thought I was having a seizure! Sheesh!!! I decided to take my chances with Marlboro country. Then comes vaping. Quitting without side effects except better breathing, more stamina, better energy, better taste, better smell, and no second hand smoke and those idiots won't let it be advertised as a quitting smoking aid, when in actuality it makes quitting virtually painless, not counting how many reduce smoking significantly without even trying just because vaping is so much fun and it's interesting. So conspiracy theory?? Maybe......... Maybe the FDA should take a note from Dr. Seuss: " We have brains in our heads, feet in our shoes, We can do whatever we choose ". (paraphrased I think)
  8. Hmmmm. I notice under my name there is a disclaimer: '0 Warning Points'. Everyone else seems to have no mention of warning points at all. It makes me wonder if everyone else has warning points? If so, how do I get them to feel like one of the folks? 0 warning points is certainly not congruous with my lackluster High School career, so I wonder what I'm doing wrong, or if I finally matured which would have made my parents totally surprised but happy. Or maybe I'm just special? That would be totally suspect
  9. On Monday, I went to the bank and there were 42 people ahead of me from the number machine so I did as promised to myself. I hung out on the sidewalk if front of the bank with my vaping supplies locked in the car and BS'd with the other hanger outers about all kinds of junk. Mostly how stupidly run the bank is compounded with how stupidly the government runs the banks and everything else, oh yeah and they still don't know where that airplane is. Anyway it was amazing, I didn't even miss it. Of course we were engaged in lying to each other about how many fish we all caught in our wayward youth etc. and it was very distracting trying to outdo each other. But I really didn't think at all about vaping until I finished the banking and saw the stuff in my car about an hour later. I have no intention of giving up vaping as I enjoy it so much, but I really think I could if it ever became necessary. The thing is, I'm one of those guys that the more someone says I can't do something, the more I want it. But, this really fortifies my personal argument that all the other chemicals in tobacco smoke are far more addictive than admitted. Nicotine really doesn't cause me to miss my habit much more that caffeine deprivation makes me miss my coffee. I'm gonna keep trying finite tasks, like walking the dog, trips, et al and keep seeing how much I 'crave' vaping. I can't even equate it with the panic of not having cigarettes, it's a country mile from that.
  10. This really works? I've been one of those wake up every two hours for years. Now maybe I'm thinking that when I using analogues I'd smoke a chimney before bed so as to not get withdrawals during the night. It never worked. I'd still get up disalarm the house go outside and suck one down then go back to bed, read a couple of minutes and fall back to sleep. Repeat. I never sleep through the night unless I drink an ocean before bed. Now I take my equipment to bed, read a couple of minutes, toke and then go to sleep. Wake up in two hours, read a couple of minutes take a couple of tokes, then sleep. Repeat. Sheesh, it never entered my often stupid mind that nicotine is a stimulant! I've always used only 18 mg nic. since I started because that's the most common one available here locally and offers the most variety of flavours. I've got some (trying it on expensive 12 mg. flavours) and maybe that would make a difference? I don't know if there's enough of a difference between 18 and 12 mg to notice. But if y'all say it works to use lower dosage to aid sleep, I'll find some no matter what. Thanks for the heads up. (Sometimes I think I'd better put myself in a home!
  11. Example: Take one pill three times a day How many? One One time? No three times. One three times? Yes How can I take one three times? No one of these pills three times a day. If I take it one time and it is gone how can I take it two more times? You can't you must then take another pill for each of the two more times in one day But you said...... I know, I'm sorry maybe I should have explained better. You understand now? Yes. When should I stop? When they are finished. When will that be? Let's count together and we will see. Ok, here's three for the first day, three more for the second day, and three more for the third day. Then they will be finished. Ok so how many again? ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
  12. If you're gonna be a vaper, it helps to also be good at valuating. There are some rip offs out there.
  13. Same solution for trolls...... First preheat oven to 350f that's 175c gas mark 4......
  14. Ok off to the bank without my vaping stuff. Ok Ok maybe I'll just lock it in the car and further test my willpower. Lady willpower It's now or never give your strenghth to me And I'll shower your strength With gratefullness Endlessly Maybe today we'll curse the bank AND the government! Cool! Power to the people right on!
  15. Now we vape in the big leagues Threw our cigs to the mat Longer we'll live You and me baby A'int nothin' wrong with that Movin' on up..................movin' on up..........
  16. It's not this bad all the time, but Fridays and Mondays are notoriously bad. I've been through Malaysia from stem to stern and it's about the same. Not all banks mind you, but the smaller ones that don't have so many customers either don't offer business incentives, or have very high priced credit card machines, or bad online banking services. I've scoped em all! And btw in my small town, this is the only bank. So it's my Monday morning just now and I'll give it another go.
  17. Because I am a teacher of ESL I am bound by international law to reiterate that 'No such thing as a stupid question' concept, but, I assure you.......... Thanks all for the great answers.
  18. Ummmm in my rapidly advancing years of experience that seems to be universally and omni sexually true....
  19. Welcome! I smoked a pipe for many years trying to get off cigs. Not sure how long and it worked as long as I had the time to mess about with it. I still have the equipment and tobacco I bought 5 years ago when I revisited the states. I really got into it and preferred the flavour to cigs. Cigs always tasted I don't know, flat or something after a pipe. And Cubans! Maybe they really aren't better than other sources, but forbidden fruit. Cubans are legal where I now live in Malaysia, but of course imported and expensive! Good luck and enjoy the fun here. Lots of helpful folks.
  20. OMG This topic is brilliant. I never knew about these functions on my MVPs. I sorta in my electronically challenged mind, thought that it was like screwing a 100 w light bulb into a 12 v socket. It wouldn't do much because of not enough volts. But discovering I wasn't just adjusting watts to voltage and vice versa, but changing on which the unit was functioning. (Not sure I said that right) or whatever I'm doing, has given my MVP more dimensions than I even knew it had. It has made a big improvement in flavour and vapour production. Amazing! Thanks so much to all who provided this info. I shall study all these posts and hopefully become smarter.
  21. Indeed I do! So do all the others on the queue. However this is the way of Malaysia's banks. There is a bank that has less waiting, but it requires driving about an hour round trip depending on traffic. And the down side is it's quite dangerous carrying cash long distances especially if the criminals know your car and it's place of origin. I'm lucky as I've only been robbed 3 or 4 times in 10 years. Many have had it far worse. And when I have to get small change for sig other's shop I sometimes go from bank to bank like a common ***** (quoting Dan Aykroyd) and that takes sometimes hours. So better to enjoy the time in front of the close bank BSing with the smokers and putting down the bank
  22. A vaper some vapour he vaped. Thought the vaper, this vapour is great The vaper of vapour Vaped vapour with flavour, Vapour the vaper's cravings'd sate.
  23. I apologise in advance if this has been asked/answered. Many here have offered advice on the cleaning and caring for tanks. I have this lingering thought for efficiency and speed when time is short. If liquid is water soluble, why can't I just when the liquid is finished, just rinse the tank with drinking quality water, shake it out and refill? I realise the liquid would be slightly diluted, but if it still works, why not? I've also read somewhere that people have tried oil based liquids and things like vanilla extract and weird things like that and got in trouble, but I don't remember details. I really think my liquid is water soluble because when I've spilt some on a table or had leaks, I've been able to clean up with just water without benefit of detergent. I thought I'd throw this out there before I ruin something Thanks for any ideas.
