  1. Stacking is something I won't touch on. Some people do it, but that is at their own POSSIBLE risk.

The batteries you have noted in your post simply are different, from Notcigs, they are protected batteries. The ones from the other vendor are not protected.

What this means is that the ones from the other vendor COULD POSSIBLY rapidly discharge and explode. Typically, it is suggested that you only use protected batteries in personal use mods as you will probably have them in your pockets/near your face quite often...and you don't want bad things happening to you because you could save 20 bucks on batteries over the year... Just not worth it quite honestly.

  2. Turns out VV mods or extreme mods are not going to be my every day vape. I love my ego-c...LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

But...I do want higher voltage on a battery than the Ego batteries. The 3.7 is solid, but I would like to go to about 4.2 or in that area. I have found the Riva Special Edition, which supposedly runs at 4.2 volts pretty consistently. Anyone use the Riva SE?

I love the idea of the bolt mod, but it is only 3.7, and I just want a LITTLE BIT more from my vape than what I can get with 1.5ohm carto and my Ego...

I have found typical Riva reviews, and they are about the same quality as JoyeTech from what I understand, same charger, simply without the Power Management circuit board in them, or a different one.

I do not want a mod. I like simple, way simple. Ego/Riva/ battery type is all I need.

Must be 510/EGO compatible. I will be using LR 1.5-2.0 cartos/attys on these batts.

Any ideas or suggestions? Possibly a Riva SE user who could let me know if the Ego => Riva difference was anything signifciant?

  3. 14. The use of nicotine products (i.e., cigarettes, cigars, gums, or patches) has been shown to increase risk of complications following surgery. They can inhibit bone and wound healing by decreasing blood flow to the surgical site. They can also increase the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT, a.k.a. blood clots). Please discuss smoking cessation with your doctor.

This noise truth?!?! With the whole nicotine constricting blood vessels thing I get it...maybe I will have to lay off for a few days until I get back on my feet...

  4. I bought a 250 mL bottle of 100mg/mL nic base. I expect it to last me 2+ years at approximatly 60 dollars. 60 bucks for 2 years of vaping. DEAL!

To answer your question, typically higher nic base equates to cheaper overall, but you have to be much more careful, and storage becomes an issue, 2+ years is a long time to store a product that could be reactive!?!?!

But if you know what you are doing, #getatitbro

  5. Aint that the truth kitsune. between cartos, attys premade juices, diy, batteries, mods and everything else vaping is so much fun! tinkering is my favorite, and if I ever acually dial in what I really want and stick to it I COULD save a ton of money vs. deathstix. Im already feeling incredible in lungs and confidence and health. My wallet currently wants to stab me in my sleep. but she will get used to it andcome to love me soon.

What do you have for a VV kitsune?

  6. solid. thanks for the help guys. simply not used to the disposable scene. i got an apollo with my vtube, since they are free with the 60 dollar purchase, and it works amazinly well. anyone able to compare these types to an ego with an LR carto? how much of a reduction is it in vapor reduction?

I only wonder because if I am vaping 100% of the time, chain vaping to get my fix, they are sure to notice vs. my ego where i only hit it about 3-5 times in 10-20 mins.

I will just get them all and experiment i suppose. i love experimenting.

  7. I am in need of a disposable or cheap battery...

I am going in for surgery on the 24th of February for a Total Hip Replacement, and I know the hospital will NOT ENJOY me vaping in my hospital bed, but I will require vaping...I am sure of it.

I would like to use my cartos there, but I would rather it not be a huge financial loss when I do have them taken away if I do not get them back. I will also need extras. With my VV Tube and 2 650's I cannot really lose these, but maybe there is a super cheap 510 battery I could use?

Cartos are all 510 style and I don't need, or rather I know I won't get, quality batteries but something cheap and that I could deal with the loss of should I not ever see it again. I would probably need to get 10 of these to be sure that I have enough for 3 days in my bed while I recover from the surgery.

Maybe pick up a few of the cheapo Kr808's or something...but I would need something that actually produces vapor, and if I were to have them after the surgery, I would like whatever option I do pursue to actually benefit me with my vaping in the future maybe? I might be asking for too much here.

    Any suggestions?

  8. Love the variety that dripping gives me, recently found Crystal clear vaping, who offers cartos at DIRT CHEAP bulk pricing, with free shipping, So I will be grabbing ressurectors and boge LR carts for the first time soon. Excited. I crushed a box of SmokTech EMDCC's this past week. I have been vaping the mass produced Nport, I have 200mL of it, and it is the closest thing I have found to my old habit, so I keep going back to it in a carto due to ease of use. I cannot find another Tobacco menthol that does justice to my old habit besides this one.

I have been out of my ego-C attys for awhile, will probably pick some more up shortly with my next order of my favorite menthol juice that I apparently cannot replicate...trying to replicate juices is TOUGH...but I have managed to make a few good ones ;) Turns out I am a fruity type of guy more than Tobacco, and I have no idea what I am going to do with my Brandy and Abisinte flavorings I picked up...made juices with them...and I still have a solid 4.5 mL of each left after tying them a bit. Booze flavors are not for me, but they do taste EXACTLY like the real things.

Loving the LT/Dripping. I am sure I would love a Provari or any GREAT VV decive more, but the LT does it as far as making things work. If you want to step into VV vaping, get at it. If you are reasonably satisfied with Ego batts/LR cartos I wouldn't really bother, but every vaper should try a VV device/dripping just to know whats up. The LT performs well, I am sure it's not as good as the other more expensive models (you get what you pay for, duh!) but it is enough to let me know I don't need to peruse the more expensive mods further. VV vaping is fun, but not a necessity for me, maybe one day down the road I will pick up a decent mod, as mjradik said the LT doesn't really perform perfectly, I have noticed that I cannot really PUMP VOLTS into my cartos as I would like to with a VV mod.

Bottom feeders/Wet mods interest me yet...not sure if I will go near those though with the beauty of the Ego-C it really isn't needed.

These are my feelings after about 2 weeks using the mini LT along with the cartos. I have been using 510 Dual coil LR cartos a lot as well. Theses 12 hour shifts at work make me vape... A LOT.

  9. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^OR JUST DO WHAT BLUCAVVY SAID^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

(I failed to actually read your post before getting riled up blucavvy...so yeah, we all got hoodwinked into spending time looking for good deals.)

I have to post in this thread simply because it will be remembered for a long time, and I cannot allow myself to miss this epic opportunity :)

My .02, Get the Ego-T and then come back and make another thread about how it doesn't work ;)

My actual .02, because I am really not that much of a bad person. Save a few bucks, pirate Ghost Rider 2 for free (can I recommend that legally?), and get genuine JoyeTech. Pick up the passthrough here: http://vaporcrave.co...hrough-p54.html

Then get a pack of Boge 2.0's from the same site: http://vaporcrave.co...roduct-p88.html

Pick up some E-liquid, from the same website: http://vaporcrave.co...-10mil-p28.html

I suggest getting two 10 mL bottles of E-liquid in different flavors that you think you will like. I have orded from vaporcrave, quick shipping, excellent products, quality juice.

$43.95 total with shipping included. You will not realistically find a more reliable, quality, cheaper choice elsewhere. If you want to search go ahead.

That amount of juice should last you about 10 days depending on how much you vape. Then get a job and buy more juice and a VV device. As legally required most websites ask if you are 18 before they will sell to you, but that is not my concern here. My real concern is how you were footing a smoking habit without a job. Please dear christers tell me you didn' t just pick up vaping without being a smoker...because that would just cherry top this wonderful thread.

(honestly can't believe I got (almost?) as fired up as Mega on this one...hol-E KatzZ.)

  10. I use the mini, with the 18350 battery and have had about 4 hours of heavy vaping at about 4.5Volts (would expect 2X out of the 18650). Maybe try a panasonic battery? I understand they perform a bit better than the AW's, and can take more charging cycles total. Are you using the 1600 mah or the newer 2000mah battery? They recently improved their 18650's to 2000mah in the same size. I understand they are no longer producing the 1600 mah.

  11. TL;DR = PV for just about everyone except my mother, who has lost 4 ecigs that I have bought her.

I also use "Puffer" as an affectionate name around my friends who ask to use it. "Hey can I use your puffer?"

I talk to a lot of people who smoke, because everyone that I know smokes just about. And at the gun range I get hassled a lot about my guns, and then they see me sucking on my device and they get questioning and I use Personal Vaporizer just because a lot of them think cigarettes are still cool.

I had a gentleman who quit smoking 10 years ago (granted he is a complete idiot, and the range warden on Wednesdays...) ask me what it was, and I told him that I used it to quit cigarettes. He boasted that he did it cold turkey, and when I told him that I quit cigarettes, he mumbled, "Well, almost." and that pissed me off and I simply don't deal with ignorance. I informed him that it was 100% safe and that nicotine is just about the same as caffeine. (Yes I know that the constriction of blood vessels caused by nicotine is a good cause of heart disease.) And he said he didn't believe it and that I was an idiot to think that this was safer...I no longer talk to this man.

So long as you get off of analogs, I am proud of you no matter how you did it.

  12. LT mini is now slowly getting seasoned with dripping and some cartos. I still love my EGO, and wouldn't suggest starting with a VV device, but it is a fine addition for when I am just sitting about and want to really tinker. If you aren't a tinkerer(er?) don't expect to love dripping.

LT is excellent. Exactly what I wanted/needed/expected. Stable and simple enough.

A good question I have come up with, what is the use of a drip shield? Is it something I should pick up? I do get quite a bit of leakage with dripping. I drip at about 4.2V with a 3.0ohm 510 atty for my fruity flavors, but get more dry/burnt hits than I would like and end up dripping 2 drops and get leakage. Any thoughts on what could help me out? I have the bridge in the atty, is this something I should remove?

  13. Back from a bit of a breather. Yey. So I will be posting randomly, hopefully more than less, but truthfully there isn't a whole lot that you need as far as recipes go. Just use a good calculator for a basic feel and make sure you have your nicotine base about where you want it and you are off to the races. I did a Pomegranite and blueberry one this morning at 100% PG and I love it. Here goes.

All of my recipes are for 5ml of juice unless otherwise stated.

    1. ~1.3 mL or 24% 100mL/mg unflavored 100% PG Nicotine base, this allows me to total 5mL of fluid at about 24mg strength. I usually just go with 1.3 mL as I know I will be adding more flavor than the recipe calls for, and I don't want to lose too much strenght with the extra liquid added.

    2. 2.6 mL or 52% USP Food Grade PG. Used PG only because I wanted throat hit for this flavor. I am a much bigger fan of PG than VG. Sorry to those with PG allergies, I am not very helpful for you guys ;(

    3. 0.2 mL or 3% distilled water. I use this to thin things out a tid bit. It also seems to make things mix a bit better as a binder of sorts. It might not be worth the hassle of adding this tiny amount of water, but I make sure to add just a little bit to every recipe I make. It just seems to help.

    4. 2.0 mL or 20% of flavoring (I was only supposed to use 1 mL of flavoring, but ended up using twice as much to suit my tastes. I did not correct it with additional Nicotine, I just went with it and it is wonderful), split into two flavorings. TFA-Blueberry (A very strong and great blueberry. I love it), and TFA-Pomegranate. Went with about 1.4 mL of blueberry and 0.6 mL of Pomegranate. Arbitrary division, but it turned out wonderfully.

    5. 4 drops of 100% PG menthol. (I created my own menthol additive by dissolving way more menthol crystals than I should have in a 5ml bottle of PG. It works wonders for adding mentol to anything. (I am a menthol freak.) The menthol is just a hint of something else. It is not meant to even compliment the flavors, but just leave an extremely faint bit of Huh?!. I typically add a bit to everything I make.

I have only used this juice dripping and have killed about half of the container so far today. I have been sitting by my computer doing taxes all day so it is easy to drip and kill liquid.

My next will be a Pralines and Cream 50/50 mix. Let me know if you need more detail, or have questions/comments.

    Love you all,

Sase Trase (who spelled his own thread wrong)

  14. I have decided to post a new recipe/ review of that recipe here every weekday and randomly as I feel like experimenting. A blog of sort about my DIY journey.

I use 100mg/ml liquid for my mixes, it is a 100%PG mixture because I am a big PG fan for the throat hit, I find it is easier to keep off the analogs when the liquid performs more harshly. A quick warning about this strength of liquid: THIS STRENGTH WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO CRY IF YOU GET A DROP OR TWO ON YOUR HANDS! I thought I was Mr. Toughguy, lo and behold I was careless, got about 5 drops on my hand, and even though I vape 24mg/ml liquid, the room started spinning, I almost passed out.=(Everything is fine now, but I have found a new respect for nicotine)@ This stuff is not for playing. I remember when I started smoking,13 years old, and we would hit them as hard as we could to get a buzz, thisbwas 10 times that buzz, and not fun. I don't ever want to do that again. I suggest using 36mg/ml for mixing. It is plenty strong, and still cost effective.

I am a huge fan of menthol and sweetener. I love the cool feeling, and I love sweetness in my juice. My recipes will reflect that. I also love huge flavor, so I go very heavy on flavors. I suggest starting low and working it up to taste.

A word on menthol crystals. They are very cheap and extremly strong. In a 5ml container I added 6 medium to large crystals and filled it with PG, placing the plastic dropper bottle in my pocket for about a half hour dissolved the crystals and resulted in a very strong liquid I could drop into any liquid to add a hint of menthol. I do this with almost every liquid just to add another flavor layer and bring me back to my old Newport habit. Will continue post later, sweet vapes order just got here ;)

  15. lavatube has been here for about two days now. I am loving it. i use a 3 ohm 510 atty and drip, which is much easier than i thought. deliciousness is all i can say. i have een whipping up my own liquids. look for a guide post i will be writing in the diy section soon, along with many recipes ;). the LT is ezactly what i needed. hassle free, great setup. it just works. clicky button and easy adjustments. i highly reccomend it to anyone. excellent product at a great price. you have not experienced high vg liquids correctly until you vape them at high voltage for the warm volumeous flavor. amazing. any hesitation about getting a vv device should be quashed. just do it as it is well worth it.

  16. I have a few drip tips/510 attys coming, what is the life of a typical 510? I am hoping the 510/dripping will work better with my higher VG liquids than my ego-C tank system or carts. Bobas is great, but jams those up pretty hard.

Any specific differences between drip tips? I have a few soft ones and a few acryllic ones coming just for fun, I think? Haven't gotten on the tank train yet as I am still learning and I don't seem to have to refill cartos too much as I am using Ego Dual Coils and they hold plenty, and when switching between two they last quite some time. I don't think I will really need a tank. Although I am sure I will get one, or a few...I want A Jonboyusmc tank just for fun, but they are quite hard to obtain...

Will post back with my experience once the LT arrives!

Also, new favorite liquid website! Sweet-vapes.com! This place is amazing. Picked up their blueberry cheesecake in double flavor 24mg, and the throat hit is rediculous. I cannot believe the flavor and power packed into it.
