  1. Some solid info is available here if you want:

    google.com/takeaction

    and

The TED link is really good, go and sign the Google petetion, and call your local representatives and let them know how you feel about censoring the internet. Unbridled power in anyones hands is never good...

Here is an easy way to check the support status of your representative: do both and let's raise hell to get this stuffed:

    For SOPA: projects.propublica.org/sopa/

    For PIPA: projects.propublica.org/sopa/pipa#roll_call

  2. Thanks guys, I will try that If my attys ever get bad. With so many flavors/attys in motion I don't know how long that will be ;)

Also Dragaa you are right. I have learned tons and tons and am just learning more every day! I love vaping and can't thank this community enough for the support and wealth of info.

  3. I haven't visibly noticed the tank melting, but that is sure what it tastes like. I just changed out my atty and tank and it is fine, I will try to clean the atty, I don't particularily want to take it apart for fear of totaling the atty, I will just boil it and see how it works.

Any suggestions on a good cartomizer to start with for experimentation for a newbie? (That is 510/Ego compatible)

  4. IF you are bouncing back and forth between the T and the C I say go with the Ego-C. It is, from my knowledge, a large step forward for Joyetech.

Less leaking issues, cheaper to operate than the Ego-T, and the battery for the C seems to be higher quality. Lasting from most reports about 30% longer (probably due to the new atty design).

Ego-T uses a cone one piece atty, the Ego-C uses a three piece design for the atty. It allows you to change out the coil and wicking agent alone. (meaning the smallest piece that actually does the work. This piece can go bad in days or months depending, it is a game of chance ;) They either break quickly, or they last almost forever.

The ego C will save money over the long haul. But, it really doesn't matter as the batteries are interchangable and if you don't like one you can always switch using the same batteries. They are both quality so long as you go with Genuine Joyetech (I can't speak for knock offs, they might be good, but I am not wiling to risk it when I am trying to improve my health).

There are many good vendors for Joye products. PM me if you want my personal recommendations.

  5. I am very new to vaping, first month for sure, probably close to three weeks now. I have found that I am cheating about 2 butts a day. Getting to be less and less as I lean more and more on the E-Cig. Everytime I want a butt I just hit the E-Cig HARD, and I can usually crush the desire pretty quickly. Mostly because the taste is so darn good and I just want it to taste better, and the only way that happens is if I keep off the butts!

  6. dragaa what is your boiling technique? I have simply been using rubbing alcohol and it seems to work fine. I haven't really found good info on a solid method for cleaning the Ego-C atty yet. I have considered diet coke, or boiling in water, but have not experiemented as of yet because I have enough attys in rotation where none of them have been used consistently enough to degrade yet.

Any other suggestions for cleaning of the C atty or is boiling/alcohol the prescribed method you think?

Calebw, I am a menthol guy who certainly needs his nicotine at this point. I use 24mg liquid right now. Do you have any websites you would suggest for purchasing DIY liquid supplies? Im going over to the DIY section right now to check into it as it sounds like a fun weekend hobby for when I have extra time on hand.

Thanks again to everyone for helping out!

  7. Ovale is a very respected supplier. High quality genuine Joyetech products and their elips has sold well. They do heavily brand OVALE on everything though, if you don't mind the branding they are excellent.

  8. I am also a first time Ego user. (I consider myself a first time vaper, but I did use blu for about 4 months before going back to analogs.) Mine has been running great. About 3 weeks in and I have lost one atty due to twisting a tank on it too hard and twisting the spike out...for some reason when I put it back together it kept shorting out my battery or something. Just tossed it.

I run though a lot of different flavors and have about 15 carts in motion with 5 cones currently. I love the system. Some things I have learned.

    1. Make sure you pierce the tank fully and use a paperclip/bobby pin to remove the plastic piece you punched out as best you can. That can heat up and melt/taste nasty.

    2. Long, light, easy draws are ABSOLUTELY KEY! You will always condensate on the tank, but lighter draws make them last longer and stay cleaner, and will allow you to keep fluid flowing.

    3. They atty system is designed to have your suction help feed/wick to the atty. Do not just press the button unless you are dry burning for some reason. You need to have fluid moving for a solid vapor.

    4. Make sure your tank is seated well. It should go without saying, but there is a learning cuve on this. (I am an offender here.)

I love the Ego-C system, super cheap to operate and simple to use. Flavors are a breeze and the Vapor/taste/throat hit are all excellent.

I am going to invest in some 510 compatible carts in the near future. Any suggestions from Veterans of the 510?

Thanks to all who have helped Dragaa and by doing so myself. Much appreciate the wisdom you have all shared.

  9. Has anyone else started to get some pretty decent burnt plastic taste from their carts? Maybe I am not changing often enough, but It seems to reason that so long as there is plenty of liquid around that there shouldn't be too much heat to melt the cart and get the plastic melting. Any thoughts?

  10. I smoked Blu cigs for a while. Back on the original case before the new "Premium" upgrade. They use quality Johnson Creek juice, but the setup is automatic and designed for a typical analog smoker to be able to change over easily. Charge was very short compared to my ECO-C. They were not quality but for a smoker they are a great alternative and pretty cheap/easy to move to. A place to start for newbies.

Haven't used their new carts but I assume they haven't improved greatly. Not a suggested product from this guy.

  11. Here is my edited version of what the CASAA has to offer. I simply changed some of the wording and mostly used their information. This is what I emailed my senators. I also attached CASAA's informative statistical review.

    Dear Senator,

My name is Casey LeClaire I am an individual who lives in Little Chute, WI. I am a working class citizen and hope you will hear me out on this request. I had been a smoker for 7 years, two packs a day. A huge burden both financially and to my health. With the use of my ecigarette, which does not contain tobacco or any of the harmful additives the cigarette industry uses. I have effectively increased my expected lifespan and my working years. I will be less of a burden on the health industry and lead a more productive life. I cannot believe that some organizations consider this alternative to smoking a bad thing.

I am writing you to ask that you support the bill being introduced by Senator Glenn Grothman (R-West Bend) further clarifying that the statewide smoke-free indoor air law doesn't apply to smoke-free electronic cigarettes (ecigarettes.)

Wisconsin's smoke-free law was passed based upon accepted evidence that cigarette smoke poses a threat to the health of bystanders. As electronic cigarettes do not emit smoke, they pose none of the health risks imposed by secondhand smoke.

Although the current WI smoke-free workplace law doesn't ban the use of smoke-free electronic cigarettes, several organizations that oppose any usage of tobacco or nicotine have attempted to ban the use of e-cigarettes in other states by inaccurately claiming that using an e-cigarette is "smoking" and inaccurately claiming that the water vapor mist emitted by e-cigarettes is “smoke.” That is why Senator Grothman's bill further clarifies that the current WI smoke-free law doesn't ban the usage of e-cigarettes and why I strongly encourage your support for this legislation.

E-cigarettes have now been on the market for nearly 8 years, without any reports of adverse health effects related to their use or to exposure to the vapor by bystanders. It is estimated that approximately 2.5 million ex-smokers are now using the devices as a replacement for traditional cigarettes, myself included. Many different laboratory tests, studies and surveys have consistently found that e-cigarettes pose no known harm and have helped many people quit smoking and/or significantly reduce cigarette consumption. In fact, testing has shown them to be as low-risk as pharmaceutical nicotine products.

Many other users are not only reporting that e-cigarettes are an effective alternative to smoking, but that they are experiencing improved breathing, overall health and stamina.

E-cigarettes are easily distinguishable from traditional cigarettes, as many models do not look like traditional cigarettes.

Many are black, silver, blue, etc., with blue or green lights on the tip, if there is any light at all. There is no smoke, no ash, no embers, no offensive odor, no side stream smoke from the tip and no butts.

Surveys of e-cigarette users strongly indicate that the devices do not have a strong appeal for young adults or youth.

Higher start-up costs and maintenance requirements for e-cigarettes discourage youth from choosing e-cigarettes over traditional cigarettes. The vast majority of e-cigarette users surveyed are current and former long-time smokers between the ages of 30 to 65. A great number of e-cigarette users report that traditional cigarettes to taste extremely foul after switching to e-cigarettes, further reducing the urge to return to smoking. This effect would greatly minimize the risk of ecigarettes introducing youth to smoking traditional cigarettes.

There is ample scientific evidence and scientific opinion (see attached) to support electronic cigarettes as reasonably safe and effective; and there is no evidence showing e-cigarettes pose a public health risk for users, bystanders or youth.

Once again, please support Senator Grothman's bill to clarify that WI's smoke-free law doesn't ban the usage of smokefree e-cigarettes.

    Sincerely,

    Casey LeClaire

  12. Hey guys, I have the Ego-C and LOVE IT! The C is an amazing machine. I went from analogs, to Blu, back to analogs and now to the Ego-C and have been pretty consistently using the Ego-C exclusively now. I love it. Got some juices from vaporcrave and love most of them. I will put a review of the juices up when I have time. Hopefully will get pretty big into the reviewing of juices and devices as I love vaping.

No leaks, but yes. It does require a box of tissue and a blunt injector to use without wasting too much juice. Have not tried carts yet, those will be my next acquisition.

Just got my LR attys in and I haven't found a juice I like the LR's with more than the standard. They leave a burnt taste in my mouth sadly. I was hoping simply for a more intense experience, but I am just getting a burnt flavor. I am not using traditional tobacco flavors beyond that of menthols that include tobacco though.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated on what I should do with the other 3 LR attys I have that will probably not get used?
