  1. I vape when I'm awake. My wife likes the slight scent of the different e-Liquids, she says they smell like a open jar of honey. EXCEPT for the "VaporTalk Grape Soda" she says she can taste it and it tastes like, get this, GRAPE SODA! Go figure! My Mom on the other hand was expecting me to blow out a plume of tobacco smoke so she started choking before I even exhaled, but that's OK, I'm used to her drama, we have always had issues. But I do love my Mama.
  2. I received my VP2 Saturday and I tried it out today, What a great vape. It came with a little blue plastic battery case that holds 4 batteries. I can fit and extra battery, a 3ml bottle of e-Juice and an 801 atomizer with the cart taken off in the little case. I think that's really compact, don't you think? No more cigarette packs full of batteries, no more chargers hanging out of my dashboard, and no more USB pass-thru cords to come to the end of like that dog Fog Horn Leg Horn was always teasing. But that's probably way before your time, Keenan will understand who I am talking about.
  3. It tastes like a flat Coke, no ****e, it really does. I have two different brands, Janty Cola and Liquid Express Cola and they both taste the same. I have noticed that the longer I vape and don't smoke, #1 the worse a analogue cigarette tastes and the better the flavors taste. #2 the flavors are getting stronger. When I got my sampler pack from Arno at AwesomeVapor, I tried everyone of them. They all tasted the same with the exception of the dramatic flavors like Banana and Coffee. I shot him an email and asked if I was doing something wrong, he said give it time and you'll see. Man was he right, now I can taste the difference in each flavor and I don't have that particular strange taste in my mouth when I get up in the morning, like I did the first few weeks of vaping. I have even stopped taking a smoke from an analogue every few days because they taste horrible. One bad thing is now I can taste the food at the restaurants, going to have to find some better restaurants!
  4. There are crooks at every turn in any business and the e-Cig industry has it's share. I also gave "Smoke Assassin" a look and just before I bought into their hype, I did the research and found VaporTalk. You guys saved me from myself and I thank you. I have tried several models of e-Cigs, a Titan 510: I couldn't get the hang of the manual button, the "Super-E": which I found out is a 4081 is a good vape and it gets me thru about an hour and a half and is an e-Juice miser, the DSE801: great vapor and flavor but short battery life, the DSE901 which is my favorite for Vapor and battery life until today because of, the VP2: this is the best vape I have ever had. I have been vaping this VP2 on a fully charged battery for 7.5 hours. It is still giving great vapor and flavor. The flavors seem to be magnified using the VP2. One thing I've noticed is that when it is out of e-Juice it is about the length of 2 cigarettes on three drops so that gives me a cut off point. For this unit, I'll get the hang of the manual button!
  5. They can and will wave it if it's all they've got as evidence. The US governmental agencies that regulate stuff have never acknowledged sources outside the US or outside their own approved sources for information supportive or not of their position. Look at homeopathic medicine or experimental AIDS or cancer treatments in Europe that are working but not approved here in the States.
  6. Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but while perusing through the posts while I was away I found this post by jmhester:
  7. I researched e-Cigs for several weeks before switching. The only thing negative I found were a handful of news stories mostly from British sources. What are the "dubious scare-mongering videos" on YouTube that you speak of? I would like to see them to better prepare a counter-argument to their claims.
  8. If the state is broke, why is it running off all of it's business? doesn't make sense to me, but who am I? A CAPITALIST, that's what I am a CAPITALIST!
  9. I wish I'd have known that before I gave my 510 away.
  10. Most of all e-Cigs are made in China, the VP1 and VP2 are made in New York State by VaprLife. They are well worth the money, hands down, bar none the best vape I have had yet. As for the e-Juice, I had hoped that there was someone making it in the US. I purposefully didn't order from eastmall because the e-Juice was made in China. I hope that someone here in the States is testing the e-Juice before it goes out to the consumer. I don't trust those little red bastards!
  11. Hey, Chrisahx, I've been out of town this past week and missed most of this thread. Had I been able I surely would have replied to you sooner. I had seen "Tropical Bob's" video last week before I went out of town and thinking along the lines you were thinking, I also was interested in an alternative to e-Juice in case it was banned. My thinking was flawed and I'll tell you why. If there is an e-Cig ban they will not be able to ban the device if it doesn't contain e-Juice. Just like you can go to the local head shop and purchase a bong or rolling papers but not the pot. Also, if they did institute a ban there it will be approximately a year before the ban goes into effect, that will give us plenty of time to form an e-Cig Militia (Cartel) and stock up or manufacture our own e-Juice and set up an underground delivery system just like the drug cartels in Mexico have done. If California ever bans e-Cigs there will be several states that won't ban e-Cigs just because California banned them. About Snoose or Snus, they are tobacco products and they contain all of the crap that we are trying to avoid by vaping instead of smoking. Yes, I understand that the danger of tobacco comes from lighting it on fire and inhaling it and that you don't light Snus or Snoose, but you do heat the juice from it and inhale it. Those products still contain added chemicals to keep them fresh and preserved from the manufacturer to consumer and I for one don't want to go back to inhaling those harmful substances. The reason that Chris and Sean have never done a review on the Janty Kissbox specifically is because that product is exactly like the other 801 series e-Cigs that they have already done reviews on. They all seem to work the same with the exception that some manufacturers batteries and atomizers work longer than others. All of the 801 carts are the same and have the same shape as the Janty Kissbox and will hold the pouch of Snoose. But I would like to see or read your review when you test this method. Your dead on with your ideas of the "Anti-Smoking Zealots" out there. It is not about your health, their health or the children's health, it's about control. They can't stand it that you can get satisfaction (via vaping) with out their permission.
  12. I for one will never buy another analogue cigarette. I am doing my best to spread the news of e-Cigs. I have been successful at converting one of my employees to e-Cigs and my the guy my daughter is dating told me last night that he would like to look into switching. I just spent a week eating in restaurants and vaping after my meals, so many people have asked what that was. I handed out 20 of my business cards with VaporTalk.com and AwesomeVapor.com written on the back and told the people asking to do the research before switching or buying. Big tobacco has had a strangle hold on this country far too long, they don't want to see this spread to the countries that they are doing record amounts of business in. Countries where there is no regulation like Mexico and Middle Eastern Nations.
  13. 25 years ago I tried a smokeless cigarette in High School. I was like the tube of a Bic Pen (Now called the "Round Stic") that was cut the length of a cigarette and had a filter sticker on it to make it look like a cigarette. It contained a filter looking, wad of fiber jambed in the end and it was supposedly infused with nicotine and tobacco flavor. The tasted like bloody hell, but gave you a nicotine rush. You just sucked on them like you were smoking a cigarette. I haven't seen them in ages but I saw a company that sells something similar and calls the vapor from e-Cigs "Dangerous Vapor". I guess the e-Cig movement/revolution has revitalized interest in their product and now they're trying to ride in on the market on the backs of e-Cigs.
  14. C'mon guy's, you carried around a pack of cigarettes and a cigarette lighter all of the time you smoked analogues. I can put 14 batteries for my DSE901 in an old kings cigarette box and an extra atomizer. I was a heavy smoker, two and a half pack a day, I go thru the batteries and juice. I normally use 10-12 batteries between 8am to 5pm, then I switch to the USB pass-thru or another model when I get home. A PCC only gives you four charges before it has to be charged so I'd have to carry two or three of them with me during the day. One thing I found that was great is we in this family and my company have always used Nokia cell phones and most of the wall chargers that I have also take the larger Nokia style charger for the car, so I just take off the wall cord and plug them into the truck.
  15. Try Arno over at AwesomeVapor.com, I get my stuff from him normally 5 days after I order it. Regular mail from Georgia to Houston.
  16. Jason is right, I noticed the same thing the first time I used my USB charger. I have one USB for my 901 batteries and one wall charger for the 901 and it will take 3 hours for the wall charger to charge a battery and 1 hour for the USB to charge the same type of battery. I have also noticed that the batteries have to be almost completely dead to charge in the USB whereas any amount of charge in the batteries will start the charge cycle on the wall charger.
  17. Ok, I'm not trying to start any stuff here, but I went to the cyphered website listed in the topic and I also went to VaporKings.com and they don't look the same to me. However, I don't really know much about HTML and maybe I'm missing something. If it is any consolation, the VaporKings website looks better put together and has a sharper look than the other one.
  18. Not that I have first hand experience, but the way a e-Cig works is not too much different than a "Crack Pipe", I suppose if you had a cop who was a real hard *** and just needed something to get you in a cell that it could be construed as paraphernalia. But if you don't mind spending a night or two in the pokey, I'm sure the DA (District Attorney) wouldn't prosecute the case. If the FDA and the states actually outlaw e-Cigs, it will be the manufacturers, importers and the retailers that they will go after and not the end user. I don't think possession will ever be a crime. For example, just before the Clinton Gun Ban, I purchased several weapons that were going to be included in the pending Gun Ban. I still posses those weapons and have had them examined on the side of the road by law enforcement and since they were purchased before the ban they are perfectly legal for me to posses and transport. Ironically the ban expired while Bush was in office and he refused to extend the ban, so now they are legal to purchase again.
  19. I drip on my DSE901 that I bought from Awesome Vapor all the time. I haven't even opened any of the polyfill carts that came with it, I just use the dummy cart that was on the atomizer when I opened the box.
  20. What is even more awesome is that I received and email yesterday from Vaporlife that my VP2's have shipped and they should be waiting for me when I get back from Missouri.
  21. I direct drip and it's the only way to go. I have done it from the start and instead of reaching for my lighter I reach for my e-Juice. Yes you can over fill, it will normally leak out the threads between the battery and the atty. I have a DSE801, DSE901 and a "Super-E" that I am currently using. They all leak when I get them too full. Also if they are full enough to leak and they aren't manual batteries you can get e-Juice down in the battery and it will start acting funny, like staying on and the battery can become unpredictable and just come on when you have it in your pocket. That is because the liquid will complete the circuit between the switch and turn itself on. I know when to drip when the vapor starts tasting nutty or toasty. Really, like toast or oven roasted peanuts, I always drip only three drops and vape awhile, normally 10-15 minutes on three drops. If I am not sure if an atty has any juice I'll just drip one drop and vape till it gets low so I always know it had liquid in/on the atty/filament.
  22. Ok, you guys are reading ny mind. I was going to bed, because my wife is, well, waiting... but I gotta comment here. Tonight driving home from dinner, I pull out the e-Cig and start vaping. Run out of juice and pull out my lighter and strike it and then I thought "YOU MORON, IT"S ELECTRIC!". I was going to post this very same thing tomorrow because it's Sunday night and, well, my wife is waiting... Also, I vape with the window down too in the truck, like it bothers me or something, go figure! Tonight I was at dinner at Margaritas in Conroe and the waiter, poor guy, liked to ripped my shirt off when I took a drag and put it back in my pocket with the red light still on my "Super-E". I had to break the whole thing down to him in Spanish, that was a D*U*C*K (beacuse I am not allowed to say B*I*T*C*H on this forum, not even when refering to my dog). Hey guys gotta go, my wife is, well you know...
  23. I am perfectly happy with the flavors that I have tried thus far, I'm not wanting to create any new flavors, or go into business marketing e-Juice. I was just exploring the possibility of either purchasing in bulk and storing it here or purchasing the ingredients, storing it and mixing my own as needed. I am the kind of person that trys to prepare for the future and have a contingency in case of any availability issues in the future. After looking at the prices for the PG and flavorings, I then saw a value side of mixing your own e-Juice. So, what is the expensive ingredient? The nicotine? It certainly isn't the PG, or the flavorings. But if pure nicotine is not available to the public, one would have to purchase a diluted suspension and add their own flavorings (yes, I know, you said that). So, it can't be done like bathtub gin, or a still (diSTILLator) in the woods for moonshine. One would have to do what Chris and Sean have done and contract a manufacturer and have their custom flavors bottled with their label put on it. Does this answer my question?
  24. The 801 atty that came with my kit from Awesome Vapor has done well for me. I have been using it three or four hours a day for 18 days and it's still going strong. My two 901 attys took a dump after each had worked a little over a week, but I still think they were quality products. I have a "Super-E" from Totally Wicked and that atty has worked well also.
  25. Then what's the point of mixing it except to add some flavor to it. I don't see the point of purchasing any quantity of PG or VG if the nicotine is already in a PG suspension and diluted.
