I purchased a set of 5 automatic 901 batteries from Totally Wicked E-Liquid. They are marked with an "MP" near the top where they thread into the atomizer. They act funny, When charging the light flashes for 10 times every 10 seconds. I have had two of them stick in the "On" position, I didn't notice the first time until it was too late and it and it toasted an atomizer. They also don't hold a charge near as long as the batteries that I bought from Awesome Vapor. I would mention the brand but the package they came in was just a small unmarked box. The batteries that I bought from Arno at Awesome Vapor are etched with "SLB" on the positive contact and the ones that I bought from Totally Wicked are marked with just a serial number "N090629" (probably date of manufacture, June 29th, 2009). Has anyone else had any issues with these batteries?

I've been thinking about maybe stocking up on stuff, I mean, if I'm going to make this work and they make it hard to come by then I'm screwed. I noticed some suppliers sell unflavored nicotine juice for mixing. Exactly how does this work? I can figure out how to mix PG or VG with flavor and some nicotine and get the Mg where I want it, but what exactly is the nicotine juice? Is it straight nicotine 100% or is it nicotine in a suspension of PG that has no flavor? I understand that nicotine is a deadly poison and one drop of pure nicotine can kill an average size man, I just find it hard to believe that they would be able to sell 100% nicotine. Can anyone answer this?

I Don't Understand Why They Are Trying To Ban E-Cigarettes?
TheSmokingMan replied to doglips's topic in New Vapers Forum
Yes, it is about control and money. The "Golden Rule - He who has the gold, makes the rules" The e-Cig products didn't ask permission to be sold here and didn't pay at the altar of the FDA. The tobacco lobby has the FDA in their pocket, that's power to control. There is nothing in it for the tobacco companies, really, because the more people who switch to e-Cigs the less they buy analogue cigarettes. They are trying to stop the e-Cig revolution before it goes global and knocks them out of the third world markets, where they make more money there (due to taxation and regulation) than the US, the UK and Western Europe. -

Need Good Recomendation On Attys

I was digging around on the net a few weeks ago and via a Google search, I found a supplier in China that you can buy in quantities of 100 or more. I'm not willing to take that kind of a risk with anything shipping from China. If you do the math on what is in a starter kit at awesomevapor.com, the atomizer, batteries and charger are more separately than in the kit. I have ordered several kits just because it's cheaper than buying everything separately. I like the idea of having a bunch of chargers laying around because I go through batteries like crazy. -
Great, I really appreciate the update. Things like this make this site worthwhile! Thanks again for the info, Jeso! -Talmadge

Wouldn't it be hilarious if a direct connection was found with e-Cig vapers and those who don't get upper respiratory infections or Swine Flu. The medical community would soil itself if e-Cigs cut them out of money like it is the tobacco companies.
-
It's as simple as what MunkusBFunky said. Just don't put so many drops that it gurgles, that would be too much and the e-Juice will seep into the battery and cause problems if they aren't sealed manual batteries. If your batteries have a button on them, then they are manual batteries and you don't have anything to worry about, but if they are automatic batteries then don't drip too much into them. I normally drip 3-5 drops and vape for awhile (5-10 minutes).
-
Direct dripping is the method that I started out with the first week. I opened a cart for my DSE901 just to see what the hub bub was all about. The cart didn't last very long maybe an hour so I went back to dripping. Drip, Vape, Repeat... As for dripping burning out your atomizers, I don't know if that has been my problem or not. I burnt out my first atomizer 9 days after I got it. I think it was the battery that did it though. I bought some spare batteries from TotallyWickedE-Liquid.com and I have had problems with two of the five in the pack. They are automatic batteries and two of them have stuck in the on position, probably from over dripping. The second atomizer burnt out last night after 7 days of use in my DSE901. I vape constantly and I use the DSE901 the most. I really don't know why the second one burnt out, it was working fine and then no vapor. I have a Titan 510 with manual batteries, I am one of the few that doesn't like it. It gives great vapor production and flavor, I just couldn't get the hang of the manual battery and I didn't like the hard round mouthpiece. I like the mouthpiece on the DSE901 the best, although the softer mouthpiece on my DSE801 feels good too.

Fda Warns On Circumventing Flavored-Cigarette Ban
TheSmokingMan replied to BirdDog's topic in General Vape News
I don't really think that it's a monopoly thing. Way back there in the "Long Time Ago's" when the Statue Of Liberty was just a little girl, there was American Tobacco Company (founded in 1890). They got large and in 1911 the government busted them up because they were a monopoly. Because of that, several large tobacco companies came out of the split up. RJ Reynolds (a few brands are Winston, Salem and Camel), Liggett & Meyers (a few brands are Eve, Pyramid and USA) and Lorillard (a few brands are Newport Kent and True). Philip Morris (founded in London 1850's) on the other hand has grown into a huge multi-billion dollar, majorly diversified company that is now part of Altria Group. Philip Morris is into food (Kraft), coffee (Maxwell House), beer (Miller Brewing Company) and cigarettes. I'm sure that the tobacco companies want to protect what is left of their dwindling cigarette market but I think that the greed or "market protection" comes in the form of lobbyists for tobacco paying off agencies like the FDA to insure them their continued market share of smokers. I think that smokers are on their way out in the US and, UK and Western Europe and the cigarette companies know it, I even believe that a deal was made with the government back in the 90's when the big tobacco lawsuits were happening. It is my opinion that as we travel through time the majority of smokers that don't quit will die, as their marketing efforts have been severely squelched by law they will not be adding very many more new customers as they die off or quit. Also, the attack on those that currently smoke has come from all fronts, you can't smoke at work anymore, you can't smoke in public places anymore, your kids are taught to lecture you about smoking at home, actors don't smoke on the screen anymore (I think by law, not sure there) and I have even heard the some states are going to charge smokers with injury to a child if they are caught smoking in the car while a minor is riding with them, Not to forget the campaign against second smoke, now it's third hand smoke that is also a danger, according to the media. So I think that cigarette companies are on their way out in the US, the UK and Western Europe. It's the rest of the world that they want to make their money in and e-Cigs pose a threat to those markets and they need to set a precedent here and now so the product doesn't spread and overtake their precious cigarettes. But, that's just my opinion, opinions are like elbows, everybody has a couple. -
Don't hold your breath, I ordered mine on the 19th of September and they still haven't arrived. I know that they are thinking about me though because every few days I get an email the says it will ship in 1-2 weeks. So I am just patiently waiting on my order before I order anything else (except the stuff I ordered from Arno the other day).

I smoke an analogue every two or so days just to see what the old taste buds are doing in the way of recovering. They taste like I just licked an ashtray. I had several dirty ashtrays around the office and one in my bedroom that I had to absolutely get cleaned up after about a week of vaping. My truck smells much better and so does the house. The best benefit is that my wife doesn't give me those "looks" anymore when I spark one up. She actually likes the slight smell of the vapor, she says it smells like an opened jar of honey. I had one of my employees in my office day before yesterday and he asked if he could smoke and I said "sure", He lit that *** and man it smelled good. That has always been a favorite smell, the first drag when you light a fresh one. When I do smoke a cigarette they seem lighter than vaping, takes about half a cigarette to get that "hit" from it.

I purchased a pass-thru from awesomevapor.com for my DSE801 atty. The cord is nowhere as large a gage as the one from puresmoker.com, but I knew that going in. I wanted to try a pass-thru before I sunk a lot of money into one so I bought the cheepie from Arno (not taking anything away from Arno, he's great). I just assumed that it was 5 volts because the USB is 5 volts, am I correct in that assumption? I have had it a few days now and vape constantly while at my computer (5-6 hours a day). I haven't had any real problems with the pass-thru or the DSE801 atty. Sometimes it wants to rest a few seconds after a few long hard drags but other than that, the vapor production is great and it does give an improved flavor over batteries. It also really goes thru the e-Juice.

We moved from Stephenville back down to Houston about 5 years ago. My oldest son went to Paradigm Academy in Dublin. Are you a local or were you passing through Dublin? The "23" from Liquid Express is not the only Dr. Pepper Flavored e-Juice I have seen. I can't really say where else I have seen it but I know I found it by doing a Google search for e-Juice or e-Liquid.

It has been covered, but I can't remember by whom. So the gist of it was that no one has had a problem getting on the plane with one, one guy vaped in the restroom and didn't get caught, another guy vaped in his seat but exhaled under his blanket and didn't get caught and one guy vaped in First Class and everyone was OK with it even the Flight Attendant. That is what I remember about the conversation. One guy even went thru several major overseas customs ports and no one said anything about his e-Cig.

Sort of, the VP2 is simply a huge battery container with an 801 fitting on the top for an 801 atomizer. If you had an 801 pass-thru then "yes" there is a pass-thru option but it's not necessarily for the "VP2" it's for the 801 atomizer attached to the VP2.

They all seem to have the same flavor level for me. But I suck on them all day and try to smoke only one flavor per day. I got in some of the Vapor Talk "Exotic Tobacco" flavor, I really like the flavor but it's harder than hell to get the flavor out of the atomizer, generally takes a few days to vape it out. I'm probably going to buy some extra atomizers an just vape that flavor in one atomizer.

I ordered two VP2's on the 19th of September. Every few days or so I get an email from Vaporlife thru Yahoo that says it's due in 1-2 weeks. When I made my order the website said 2-3 weeks for delivery as they make them as the orders are placed. That is fine by me, I am just looking forward to a good quality American (USA not Canadian or Mexican) made product and don't mind the wait. I didn't care too much for the Titan 510, I couldn't get the hand of the manual battery and it was too hard of a draw. i hold and smoke my DSE901 like a cigarette, it light enough and the liquid seem to vape for quite awhile for light puffing while I work hands free at the computer or driving. I have never had any of the four models that I have purchased last thru a full length movie. Last night I went thru 2 batteries and was on a third while watching "Star Wars Attack Of The Clones", of course that movie is longer than most but I still have never had one battery get me thru a whole film. I'm thinking that I might try a "Janty Stick" after I recover from the cash outlay of the two VP2's. I'm eager to try the VP2, I'm in the same boat as you, just waiting. I ordered the adapter with mine also. I would be interested in the Janty Stick and if you just want to clear them all out I'd be willing to experiment.

I have all three, The 901 vapes the longest before having to drip again but the vapor diminishes as the battery runs down. The 801 vapes the most but only for a short time before having to drip again and vapor doesn't diminish as the battery gets to the end of its charge, but it really does use a lot of e-Liquid. I didn't like the Titan 510 I bought and I gave it to one of my employees. I couldn't get the hang of the manual battery. The 510 vaped great but the draw was hard and noisy it made my jaw sore from sucking (good thing I'm not used to doing that).

Well, I'm not a chemist but my father had a lab at the plant and was kind of a self taught chemist of sorts, he was in the galvanizing business. From what I learned from him and in school, most compounds are affected by either heat, light, exposure to oxygen (oxidation) or age. If I were to make an educated guess I would think that age would not play a part in the flavor of your e-Liquid diminishing so rapidly. I would, however, think that long term exposure to sunlight, heat or leaving the bottle open would have an effect on the flavor by reducing its potency. There is a guy on here in the UK who is a chemist but here in the states we call them pharmacists, maybe he would know what would make the flavors degrade.

Fda Warns On Circumventing Flavored-Cigarette Ban

I don't buy into a lot of conspiracy theories, although I find them interesting. I do, however, think that most of the world misses the grand conspiracy that I see everyday, everywhere. If you believe in God and Satan or Good and Evil, Satan/Evil is bent on destroying what God/Good has created. It doesn't matter who is deceived, who is hurt or what is lost or destroyed in the process. It is Satan's ultimate goal to destroy all that God has made, by whatever means necessary. This trickles down into every aspect of our society and our lives. The FDA has been deceived or distracted by the money from the Tobacco Lobby and therefore instead of looking into the benefits of e-Cigs they want to ban them because it does nothing positive for the tobacco companies. This is just one example of what I'm talking about. -
I haven't tried it while drinking a Dr. Pepper, I think that would probably confuse the senses, they wouldn't know which was which.

I bought my DSE901 and my DSE801 from Arno at awesomevapor.com. I placed my order around Midnight on a Saturday night and it came regular mail from Georgia to Houston by Thursday afternoon. I have had absolutely no problems with the products that I have ordered from Arno. I also ordered some extra batteries from TotallyWickede-Liquid.com and they act funny. They don't shut off sometimes and you have to watch them or they will burn up the atomizer. Also they don't seem to last as long as the ones I ordered from awesomevapor.com.

Fda Warns On Circumventing Flavored-Cigarette Ban

Man, sometimes you just feel led to a place for a reason, I was really wondering what the political climate would be over here on Vapor Talk. I am glad to see that you don't line up with the picture of a typical Californian that I have always had. Government should be of laws rather than men, that is why the Framers of the Constitution opted for a Republic and not a Democracy. A Democracy is majority (mob) rule, a Republic is Rule by Law. The worship of our new President is frightening. I believe what we are seeing with these incidents across the nation with school children paying homage to him is the beginning of what has happened in North Korea with the elevation of Kim Jung Ill to god status by the brainwashed masses that started with his father in the schools and what we are seeing in China that started the same way with Chairman Mao. New York City is celebrating the 60th anniversary of China's Communist rule by lighting the Empire State Building up with red and yellow lights this week.
