What Is Everyones Opinion On A Second Kit?
TheSmokingMan replied to elem187's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The VP2 from Vaprlife.com, it's a little pricey but well worth it. -
I bet y'all look as cool as Sean in those pink headphones!

I'm sure Jesso will fix it for you!

What Made You Give Up Analogs?
TheSmokingMan replied to jmhester's topic in General Vaping Discussion
When I went to work for the radio station in 1989, my employer, Jack Palmore, taught me a few things about image. He was a smoker and a successful radio and TV personality in Houston. His personal rules about smoking were; never let anyone that is a client or audience see you smoke, it can ruin your reputation, if you have to smoke, take your jacket off and stand up wind, never smoke in the car because the smell permeates everything and you carry it with you into an office. Even in 1989 smoking was taboo in business situations. As a business owner, I have to deal with homeowners and contractors. I have rules in my company about smoking. Never smoke in front of a homeowner, even if they are smoking. Never smoke in a home owner's house. Never smoke with or in front of the contractor on the job. I have established these rules because I have had incidents that have initiated each one of these rules to be put in place. I don't smoke in the truck on the way to a client's location unless I have the windows down to avoid the smell. But here again all of this is a moot point because, I don't smoke anymore. I still don't vape in front of homeowners though. -
Don't get me wrong here, I am head over heels with the VP2, absolutely no complaints. I am thinking about purchasing a VP1 because the unit is a little less bulky than the VP2. I think that it would be better in restaurant or out on the town. My question is, Do you have a VP1 and if so, is it as dainty as the DSE801 assembly?

Unflavored Nicotine Juice
TheSmokingMan replied to TheSmokingMan's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Taking my 8 year old to the range this Saturday, were going to see how he does with a Mini-14 and my .45 sidearm. Both have been freshly Parkerized and I need to put some lead through them for break in. My brother is a gunsmith and does military contracts so I get things done real cheap! And keeping on topic, I saw where Totally Wicked is selling 54mg strength unflavored e-Juice. -
Unflavored Nicotine Juice

Ouch! -
You are a nut! I think I'm going to kick my wife out of the bedroom and sleep with my VP2.

If you purchase one, you might want to do a video review/demonstration of how well it works.

The page is mostly empty, all of the links go nowhere. We have got to get that thing filled up with information on e-Cigs. Wikipedia is the #1 source for information on the Internet.

So, what is the method of testing the attys with a mulitmeter. I understand how you can test the batteries, but is there a certian resistance you look for in the attys when you ohm them? I would think that different attys would have different levels of resistance. If I were to have to start at square one, not knowing what the resistance was supposed to be I would sample a new atty before it was used and then check it as it aged to see how the resistance levels changed.

What's The Difference Between A 901 And 510?
TheSmokingMan replied to jmhester's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I have both the 510 and a 901. I bought the Titan 510 from Totally Wicked and the DSE901 from AwesomeVapor. I personally didn't like the manual button of the 510 because I spend a lot of time at the computer and also at the wheel of the truck, so the 901 was easier being automatic. I do agree that the 510 produces excellent vapor, but so do my 901 attys. All of that is kind of moot now that my VP2 has arrived and so have I. This thing smokes, literally! Being that the unit is so large I can't hold it in my mouth anyway, so it took me about 2 seconds to get used to the manual button. I still have my 901 and smoke it from time to time because it is more like a cigarette. -
Jessa, Chris is far too modest and honest. VaporTalk Juice is excellent, they can currently be found at dietSMOKES.com. The Dulcis is real popular and I like the Exotic Tobacco. The Cappuccino is good for a switch after dinner and the Grape Soda is great and tastes just like Grape Soda and (I don't like real grape soda), my wife even likes it and she doesn't smoke or vape. I am not a menthol vaper, but I have heard from many Mentholites that say the the Mentha is the bomb when it comes to menthol. The VaporTalk Juices have more flavor than others on the market and they seem to produce more vapor than most. Chris and Sean have spent some time getting this formula put together and have done an excellent job getting something on the market out there that is truly a superior product. Try some, you won't be disappointed.

Let me tell you, I have solved all of my battery problems. I have been able to condense all of the e-Cig apparatus down to not very much that I have to carry. I bought a VP2. The battery lasts me 8-9 hours and I am a heavy vaper. It came with this little plastic case for the batteries that will hold an extra battery, an extra atomizer and a 3ml bottle of e-Juice. No more chargers in the truck, no more batteries rattling around in the console and no more worries about if the next battery will charge before the other ones run down.

I looked hard at the e-Pipe. All of the reviews that I found, which weren't many were not very favorable. Seems that the e-Pipe is just a pen-style in a different wrapper and a larger battery. Chris reviewed one and he said it was junk. If I remember correctly he threw it over his shoulder. I am particular about the style of my pipes and I couldn't find a Billiard Stemmed e-Pipe they only market a Full Bent e-Pipe and I don't like that Sherlock Holmes Style of Pipe.

What gets me is that all of this deficit spending and a huge national and state debt, goes against everything that we are taught in school, by our parents and what the principals of this country are. Yet we continue to let elected officals and politicians spend out of control. You would think there would be a revolt of some kind.

Does Anyone Have Cruise E-Cig Experience?
TheSmokingMan replied to chrisahx's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I have recently vaped in a number of restaurants. I do what Kitsune does, I cup my hand over the end where the light is and hold the vapor in so it is less noticeable upon exhale. Also, all of my e-Cigs are black and don't look like cigarettes. When I have been noticed, many people will ask with heightened interest "What is that?" after I explain, normally to the waitress, they are cool with it. I never get defensive and always act like it's no big deal and I am happy to explain. Happy! happy! -
I might just try some VG if it's thicker, I have a slight leakage problem as I tend to over drip. Sometimes 3 drops just isn't enough in my opinion and it ends up leaking.

Try letting it cool down for a few seconds between drags. When it heats up after two or three drags just don't hit it for 10 seconds or so until it cools down. It getting hot shouldn't hurt anything as long as you have plenty of juice in it. I have a 901 that gets hot and melted the end of the cart, but I direct drip and it doesn't have any of the poly-fill fibers in it. If you are tasting a burnt taste then probably fibers are getting on the heater and melting. If this happens poke the fibers a little farther into the cart. You might also want to try direct dripping, it works best for me and many on this forum. By the way, Welcome to VaporTalk, we're pretty friendly here and welcome any questions you might have.

When I first started this e-Cig thing, I ordered a sampler from AwesomeVapor and a sampler from Johnson Creek. The difference in the two were very different. I couldn't really tell the difference in either one's different flavors. All of Arno's stuff from AwesomeVapor tasted the same and all of the Juice from Johnson Creek tasted the same. I didn't try any menthol. Now that I have been vaping for awhile, I have tried other e-Juice from Vapor Talk and Liquid Express and Janty Juice. Johnson Creek's juices all have a particular flavor that is different than any of the others and it's kind of odd. I can't say it's bad and if it was all that was out there I'd still vape but it's not my favorite. VaporTalk has some really good flavors and they are by far my favorite. I also regularly order from AwesomeVapor and vape their juice regularly (daily). The cola flavor from both Janty and Liquid Express left me flat, but the "23" from Liquid Express is a real hit with me. I was a pipe smoker and a cigarette smoker and I wasn't impressed with Johnson Creek. But yes, the tin was cool and so were the little glass bottles with the droppers, but I wont be ordering any more from them.

When my e-Cigs arrived, I found it real easy to only vape in lieu of smoking. I had a pack of analogues that was open and one gone. Every few days I'd smoke one just to see if my tastes were changing, they didn't taste too bad but not as good as I remembered them. The first drag was like licking an ashtray. That pack was finished a week ago and I have been vaping for almost a month. I haven't had an analogue in a week. I can't imagine how horrible they would taste now.

I think he's an expert, just look at his reputation score! I have three pass thrus. an 801 auto, a 901 auto and a 901 manual. I bought the autos from AwesomeVapor and I know that are made in China and they don't have batteries in them but they do have a light. The cut off on these two are longer than I can draw so it doesn't effect me much. I bought the 901 manual from Clean Safe Smoke. I haven't had any trouble with them and they work great producing much more vapor and flavor than the battery. Now I have seen the pass-thru that puresmoker sells and its made tough like the VP units. With such a large gage of wire you would get a higher voltage to the atomizer because of less resistance in the wire, that makes a big difference in DC as opposed to AC.

Vp1 Usb Or Car Chager For Camping Trip
TheSmokingMan replied to pendarus's topic in New Vapers Forum
Excellent suggestion Chris, I have one of the 100 watt units that I use in my wife's car, it just plugs into the power outlet. In my truck I have a 2500 watt inverter mounted under the back seat and hard wired to a secondary battery with a one way charging diode so I can run just about anything from the truck.
