  2. Tax is a necessary evil. That is how we pay the armed forces that protect us. That is where a lot of the money for public education comes from. Unless we went back to the stone age there isn't a way around it. The figures that I heard were that a flat 10% tax across the board would float the boat nicely and even generate surplus. That means everyone, rich, poor, corps. and any and all income, period, no loopholes at all, for many of the average workers this would actually mean lower taxes because the major corporate BS would not be able to wiggle around and save billions of dollar in taxes they should be paying. That allows the sucessful to reap the rewards of thier sucess and let the rest of us have a chance at becoming sucessful as well. If we didn't pay out so much for welfare your tax base could be even lower. We need to create jobs. For example there were no food stamps before the 1960s. Now it has become an American staple, this drives up taxes. If you could give the guy a job that would reduce his expenditure of tax money and add him to the taxpayer list, a double win. There is so much that needs to be repaired from the country I grew up in, but the huge huge .gov that we have will trip over a dollar to pick up a dime. The red tape, interagency BS and total lack of accountability has allowed this thing sprial out of control and unfortunatly downward as well. Im fearful for the futre of my children, and have no hope for my grandchildren. Guess Ill take a prozac and lay down for awhile.

    Information Overload

Hi Trice, Ohhhh...that is a good question. I am beginning week 3 of my venture into vaping and I was not a heavy smoker either (3-5 cigs a day). I quit all analogs (regular cigs) almost within a few days of vaping. It does seem I vape more than I smoke but I heard that's because you are getting far less nicotine on a vape than on a cig. 3 drops of juice on an ecig gives you about 10-15 drags which is still about 1/2 (or less) the nicotine you'd get in 10-15 drags on an analog. But it's sooooo much more fun. And, like you, I initially wanted an ecig that "looked" like a real cig....I got over that real fast and went right with the eGo and haven't looked back. It rocks in every way. Jodie

    Tax The Wealthy More?

I'll probably catch a lot of flak for this but here goes: I truly believe there should be a flat set % tax for all including businesses etc. No multiple forms no loop holes no discounts blah blah blah everyone pays the same percentage period. A fair and equal tax system in this country is just a pipe dream but i can wish anyway.

    Boiled Cartomizers To Clean

Where have you been?? I have a "contraption" you could say... that I hook my carto too by the threaded end, put a carto condom half way on the other end, and swing it around. This literally fills the condom with juice from the carto and I'm ready to refill with whatever. This also helps to "fluff" back some of the filler material. And then I grab the trusty paperclip w/ the end bent out and run it through the hole of the carto, wiggle back and forth, and make sure there is a clear path for air. That is key... you should be able to see completely through a carto before you use it. People toss alot of cartos thinking they are clogged but I they need to do is poke something thru the carto and clear a path!

    Fda Very Bad News

I think that, before we freak out, some context is needed - particularly after reading the WSJ article I saw some reasons for concern and would agree with the FDA's decision. To quote the article: Yes, they should *not* be allowed to sell products that contain these things. It will be interesting to see whether or not reputable vendors are also sent cease and desist letters. If the FDA is only trying to shut down vendors who are putting extra things that don't need to be there into their liquid then I whole heartedly agree with them. I am concerned about getting more than I pay for in my liquid and I definitely don't think companies should be allowed to put things in there without disclosing it. If the FDA sends cease and desist orders to companies who are selling liquid that contains nothing but PG/VG, nicotine, water and flavoring then we should start to be concerned.

    Fda Very Bad News

ok, time to get pissed..... the FDA approves drugs for treatment of arthritis, erectile disfunction, high cholesterol etc..etc...ALL of those drugs that the FDA approved have side affects that have been documented, yet there are no reports of any of these kinds of side effects fro E-cigs, yet they want to target this industry? Somewhere there is a check from Phillip Morris or RJ Reynolds written to the FDA....just gotta find out whose desk it's on.
