    Mega Happy Dance!

Just watched a video on making twisted aliens. That's gonna be a while down the road if ever, lol. I had enough trouble keeping the coil from moving with the spinning of the post screw. That is an amazing technique.

@Edna Thanks! I'm like a little kid with this. I was so excited when it worked. Showed my wife. Showed the cats. Chain hit till I had to lay down from the nicotine. OoooPs, lol.

First Build! Sense Herakles RTA-2 Dual horizontal coil build @ .6ohm. Seven wraps 26ga SS @ 30mil dia. Clouds and Flavor @ 30@ on an Alien. Not as pretty as on YouTube, but the performance! Oh my. This is going to become habit forming.
  4. @Adversarious1 This is getting crazy. My vaping stuff is taking over the entire doghouse (my room). I'm discovering that other folks I know vape as well. One is a mad chemist with his home brews. Definitely had ho idea what I was getting into. This is already a full blown hobby.
  5. Lol, I seem to have little trouble finding excuses to drag home more shinies.
  6. @cany So, is that it? Just pressing the two pieces together is the fix? Don't need to go any further? (ring excluded)
  7. @canyThe little spring for the 510 stayed attached. Don't know how. If there's another spring, then, yup, it's gone. From your post, this has happened before! Gotta love this forum! The knowledge base is amazing!
  8. So we're just landing a good grove on "Allright Now" and I have time between stanzas to get a vape. Reach out and knock my Aster with the Nautilus on top off my rig. OMG! It looked like Humpty Dumpty! Battery, battery cover, and pieces/parts of nautilus all over. At that point the prognosis was bad, very bad. Upon gathering said pieces/parts, I was somewhat relieved when the Aster worked after being reassembled. The base of the Nautilus however was now two pieces. I looked at the whole thing and tried pushing it back together. Amazed, it worked. I guess the two parts must be press fit. The airflow ring did loose something however. No more detent at airflow holes. Spins in circles real easy. I'm thinking superglue. Only the biggest hole works for me. Weird experience. Note to self. Wait till the next song.

    okay y'all

Post a pic when you have it done!
  10. Just watching this thread to learn myself. With the wide variety of coils available for the Cleito wouldn't you need at least a two battery series mod to take full advantage of all the coils?
  11. Not necessarily. I have a couple of small tanks that I use lower resistance coils in around the house to get clouds. In my Mello III (Mazi, I guess, as apposed to mini) I like using the .5ohm coil as I take it out and about and enjoy using less liquid and less battery life. I still get good taste using the .5. I find each coil/tank combination has a "best use". Having said that, I also blew a cloud into the bottom of my drummers kit from a .25ohm coil. Great fun. He though is sound module had went up in flames. Watching him try to fan it off was a hoot!
  12. That's amazing and great to hear! The speed at which some of the companies come out with new tanks made we wonder. Really glad to hear this! Thanks!
  13. Question for those who have vaped for awhile. How long to you see tanks supported in terms of getting coils and or replacement parts? Is there an average? Have you seen any manufacturer do a better job than another keeping things available? Another thread on a spinner battery prompted me to think about this.
  14. I'm theorizing here. If I clean the oven by burning off the grease, etc. it still has a distinct odor. The residual charred material still produces smell and taste when inhaled. Maybe ultrasonic cleaning the coils would help. I have no idea. Some remnant of cotton/ejuice has either permeated or adhered to the coils. Will this dissipate over time? No idea.
  15. A friend just dropped by the store and gave me a HorizonTech Artic V12. Said he didn't like the draw and he would never use it. Recommended setting it for 130 watts. Wow! It produces one heck of a cloud and the flavor is something else, but watching the battery meter on my Alien is like flushing a toilet! Reminds me of the gas gauge on a car I used to own as a kid. Has a .1ohm coil in it. I'm gonna need a wall adapter, lol. Found a .3 ohm coil at a local shop. Hope it helps.
  16. Lol, For now, yes. If I start turning out some decent coils I'll go for more. Gotta try my hand at this first. This Sunday is my target date to try my first build. If you see a huge flash over the great lakes there was a OoooPs.
  17. You are very generous and giving. I truly hope this works out for you. I'm sure he and his son will be thrilled.
  18. Smok Alien Kit in gold. Five .4ohm replacement coils for the baby beast. A pen mod holder. Last but not least thirty feet of the coveted 28ga SS316L wire! Thanks VT Store! You Rock!!!!
  19. No doubt. Ten cents per ml sounds good to me. Now ten bucks for the batch sounds beyond amazing. The DIY juice gig is definitely inciting. Been watching videos and scoping out starter kits. I have a lot of consternation regarding flavoring. I can envision brewing up some God awful concoction that would end up being Draino.
  20. Congratulations young lady! Nothing says "i like you" like a sheetrock message! That in itself is a keepsake.
  21. Ya got a damn good start right there! Can't wait to see more!
  22. Took me a lot of work to get this old! I'm actually pretty amazed I got this age, lol.
