  1. I would suggest a higher VG juice, the nicotine is just fine. It does lessen the throat hit a bit, but to me it is more satisfying to inhale/exhale so much more vapor. Another thing, is as you reduce your PG you reduce flavor a bit. I have had to have them add an extra shot of flavor in my high VG juices. I currently drip a 20PG/80VG 9mg flavor and it is great!
  2. They use the same username and password, I think!
  3. I will have to agree with JohnnyKansas. From my mobile device, I have found the Tapatalk app is the easiest to use. I also like the notifications.
  4. I have not been around long, but have seen many of your posts come up in searches! Welcome Back!
  5. I am definately not going to throw them out. I think I am going to fill my other mini with some of my 60PG/40VG juice and put it on my other iStick or my MPV. I just get much more satisfaction from the open draw I can get with the BVC. I really wish I had some higher resistance ones so they wouldn't be so hot. I will report back in a while and let you know how it goes.
  6. Here is the version I have: http://101vape.com/rebuildable-atomizers-tanks/413-11-454-big-block-atomizer-clone-by-tobeco.html I have had mixed results ordering from them. I have never got any blatantly counterfeit products, the clones I knew were clones. Their service has been mostly great, but once, very poor. So YYMV. At $16.00 you can't really go wrong, at worst, you have a new side port drip tip. At best you have a new atty. It has many features that I like. I like the ring on bottom for your negative leads, it takes a while to learn how to use it, and can be a pain, but I now see it as a feature. The airflow adjuster is really cool. It allows you to run dual or quad coils. The drip tip does keep a lot of the spatter out. The airflow/flavor gripe, could all be in my mind, I am not sure. Of course the long drip tip suggestions from Tameiki and Earthling is probably the best. I just personally don't like long drip tips. It is purely due to aesthetics, not function.
  7. I am on my 3rd day with these coils and I think I am going to have to move it to backup status. I really like the flavor, for just a second. It is far superior to stock, but it does not wick fast enough. I have read that these must be broken in, and I may not have given it enough time. Part of the problem could be that I bought too low of resistance. This is all they had in stock. I am running on both my MVP V2 and iStick at the lowest setting. The iStick has problems with running low power as it is not proven if it steps down voltage or not. The lowest it seems to go is battery voltage (I have no way to test this accurately). I might be able to use a lower viscosity juice, but I have around 200mls of my ADV and don't want to water it down. I can also close my airflow down and get much better wicking on it. I also have to slow down my draw and draw much longer. I really don't like this style of vaping. I like to have my airflow all the way open and and take fast, long draws. Here are some details about them: As you can see, packaging is great. I really like the little containers. From the looks (without disassembly) It is a single coil with a small silica wick. It is surrounded with some sort of thin sleeve of stainless. That is surrounded with a stainless mesh, or wool, or something. The pictures are not great, I need a macro lens. I still have not got one. I have never got into rebuilding stock coils. This has made me think that it might be something I want to do. I would like to build a R - NR wire welder and make some tiger wire, vertical coils with rayon wick material around it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  8. This makes total sense. With your mechanical mod (Panzer) you are putting out a nominial 3.7v with a 1.7ohm coil. This only generates 8 watts of power. On you elvt you set it at 11.5 watts this means the boost circuit inside your elvt boosts the battery voltage from 3.7 to 4.4Volts. There are also many other variables in an electronic box. If it is calculating the wattage based on Mean rather than RMS the output could even be greater. The low ohm coils on your Panzer is why you use a mechanical mod. It is to overcome the electronic restrictions that the elvt puts in place for safety. With your .5 ohm coil it is putting out 27 watts. I really don't know your experience level with electronics, or mechanical mods, but don't forget ohm's law. Please read this post on ohm's law: and use these calculators (or a phone app) to do the calculations: http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php or http://www.steam-engine.org/ohm.asp Remember, on a mechanical mod the only way you can make a hotter vape is to lower the resistance (ohms) of the coil to produce more watts. On the elvt you can only go so low on your coil, but the voltage can be turned up higher than the battery voltage because of Pulse Width Modulation, but it has a voltage limit on the top end for safety. I hope this is a little clearer than mud....
  9. I am not sure if they sell them. I don't use it very often on mine. I really don't care for the draw, it adds a little restriction and it seems to mute the flavor a bit. It could be all in my mind. I actually replaced it with a very short stainless one. I do get a little juice splatter also and it is kinda annoying.

  12. I know y'all are correct! I guess as long as you are not buying them by the pallet you can't have too much stuff. I will probably continue to pick stuff up here and there, I just need to slow down a bit.
  13. I hope you are right! To be honest, I am very content with the iStick and the Mini. I think it is just my addictive nature. I am really not looking for a better vape. The iStick has been lasting up to 2 days at 10.5 watts with the BVC coils. I love the size and weight. I tend to do this type thing in in hobby/addiction I get into... That's why I stay broke!
  14. Definitely not a bad thing. I have PIF all of my eGo style batteries, all of my Kanger products and a gob of juice. My kit I carry with me now has 2 full size Nautilus, 2 mini, and 1 ET-S. I also have extra coils and juice. As for batteries, I carry a VV V3, MVP 2, and now 2 iSticks. I also have a 1amp hard wired USB outlet in the car and a long cord just in case. It has gone way past backups into obsession....lol To be honest...I will probably just get a bigger kit and carry more stuff..
  15. I totally agree with Earthling and Tameki. Your current goal is to get off of cigarettes. If it takes 24mg. Go for it, don't let it bother you! I have been free of analogs for a few months now and still use 24mg. It is working great, very few cravings, so I am not taking any chances! Also don't beat yourself up too much, set a goal and head for it!
  16. I sure wish they would release more about the MVP V3. I am ready. My MVP V2 has been my go to since I started. I just sent it back to backup status when I got my first iStick. If I keep buying stuff, I am going to have so many backups i won't know what to do with them.
  17. This looks like it could be a cool little box. Possibly an upgrade for my iSticks. I really don't need anything right now, but you know this hobby, there is always something new and shiny. http://www.pioneer4you.com/goods.php?id=65 Product Specifications: Dimensions: 94mm x 40mm x 23mm Visual operating system Low voltage protection Low resistance protection High input voltage warning Output short circuit protection Reverse battery protection USB charging It looks like from the pictures it uses a single 18650 and has a price point of $50.00. I have seen a few pre-orders and an estimated release date of 12/15/14.
  18. I never was a big public smoker. I usually smoked in my car (alone) or outside. I just thought, it is my habit, no one else's. I have always been extremely courteous to my environment. I was never so kind to myself. It is a good feeling to not put nearly as much crap into my system.
  19. I have never built that low yet. .3 - .4 is about as low as I have gone so far. I really don't have a problem with it. I build save and use good equipment. I also have learned to disassemble a 4nine quickly in an emergency. The little thing can be a pain to setup with no adjustments!
  20. Welcome back, and welcome to Vapor Talk! Here is a link to a good beginner stuff page: Feel free to ask anything, there are a lot of great people on here!
  21. It really sucks that it went down that way. Those are really nice looking boxes. I have been thinking about one for a while, but when my little iStick does everything I need for around $30 I just can't justify the added cost.
  22. That is too cool! I am so impressed with the amount of money that I have saved, by not smoking. Then reality hits and I realize I still spend so much on vape gear that the savings are minimal. Of course as poor of a personal money manager as I am, I have not been able to tell the difference!
  23. Just got a second iStick, this time in blue. My Cisco Spec HH Nautilus coils came in too!

  25. I originally started vaping to quit smoking. It has turned into a hobby that I am not sure if I will ever quit. I have not been smoke free nearly long enough to know if it has "stuck", and I am sure not going to chance it. I currently don't even plan on stepping down my nicotine any time soon. The last time i quit using Chantix it lasted 5 months. It only took one bad afternoon to put me back in the smoking rut. As for the "Great American Smoke-out" I don't know... I used to try to smoke twice as much on that day, just because of my rebellious attitude... I don't care for society to tell me what to do, it normally elicits an opposite reaction from me.
