  1. The MVP and Kanger AeroTank work well together. I'm using 1.5 and 2.0 Ohm coils in mine and have zero complaints. I also use a single-coil ProTank2's with it too... currently running one with a 1.8 ohm coil, one with 2.2 ohm. I've not used the Nautilus, but I hear good things about them... perhaps some day I'll invest in one, but right now, I have all Kanger tanks and keeping up with 'another' set of coils is more than I want to deal with right now... I'm happy with my Kanger tanks, although I'm still experimenting with different resistance and singe/dual choice I've ran 50/50, 60/40, and 70/30 juices so far, and really prefer the 50/50 for vapor and flavor, but it could be the brand/flavor combos too I can tell you that 70/30 mixes were hard on coils and gave me dry-hits from time to time... but I understand the Aspire coils/wicks handle thicker juices a little better than Kanger's.
  2. Battery life will depend on how much you use it, and on what Voltage level, lol... But, I can get a full day, sometimes nearly two, out of my 1100mAh batteries, and at least a full day out of my smaller 950mAh batteries. I would recommend at least a couple of tanks, or at least one for each flavor you like, so you won't have to be cleaning tanks to prevent cross-flavor issues (some flavors just don't mix well, lol). A pack or two of atomizer heads (coils) is a good thing to have handy... some last for weeks, some only for days... it's not an exact science, but you should be able to average 2-3 weeks on a coil before failure... at least that is what I get from them, although I've got a dual-coil still going strong after 4 weeks (but I expect it to go any day now). Thickness of your juice (vg content) will affect how long they last too... thicker juices gum-up coils faster, obviously. And, if you plan to learn to build your own coils, you'll want to have a good supply of the atomizer heads to DO the rebuilding with... so go ahead and use the factory-coils for a while, and save the dead ones for rebuilding later. I personally plan to start building a few after summer... I should have at least 18-20 spent heads in a box by then (and room in my office to set up a winding-station)!
  3. The MVP only goes to a maximum of 5V, so I'll assume you mean 9W? Coils will last as long as they last... I've had some of my Kanger coils operate for more than 3 weeks... some only for a few days before they gummed up or failed to fire properly. What is the VG content of the eJuice you're using? Higher VG contents will gum-up a coil faster... just a thought...
  4. The ProTanks come completely apart, and if you have a bad o-ring, they cannot produce a vacuum inside the tank, which in-turn allows the wick of the coil (atomizer) to "drip" ejuice, filling the drip-tube (shaft body) and dripping onto the battery contact. Without taking it apart in my own hands, that sounds like what you have going on... Check to make sure the upper and lower rings (above and below the tank) are securely tightened... if they feel tight, you may want to disassemble it again and check the o-rings (they are replaceable too). Check the tank for chips and cracks which would allow air leaks.
  5. Wow, you're kinda all over the place on this one, lol, and you didn't say anything about your experience-level or any equipment you currently own. When I hear a noob say "I want a huge vapor cloud", I cringe... Now, for your list.... I get a "decent" vapor cloud from my eGo-style battery and a ProTank2 Mini with 1.8 or 2.0 ohm coil... so you don't need to spend big money to get a flavor-filled vapor-cloud, unless you're actually determined to make people think the room is on fire While good vapor production usually means a good flavor, there is a point in diminishing returns (IMO, waste). The MVP is a self-contained rechargeable battery MOD, whereas the VAMO is one where you actually insert rechargeable batteries and swap them out when they deplete (no down-time or attached cables while it charges). Both are variable-voltage and variable-wattage, with slightly different range-specs... both work fine (although I don't own a VAMO, I've considered one and read the specs, and other people seem to have few issues with them). Tanks... well they are tanks... they hold juice and a coil... I only have Kanger and Innokin tanks, but my buddy's Nautilus seems to give better clouds, then again he's not an 'inhaler', he's a mouth-vaper, and it may just be the juices and low-resistance-coil combo he's using with his MVP, too? Which brings me to juice... different vg/pg ratios will produce different vapor levels... So, do you want flavor, or big, room-clearing clouds? Do you want to drip, or use a tank? Do you want something 'intermediate' like the MVP or Vamo, or do you want mega-wattage, high-voltage high-end MOD? Do you have the experience and technical ability to safely deal with high-end MODs and rebuildables? I'm not trying to be an azz here... just trying to help you decide where you want to go, or can go, based on where you are... Everyone here wants you to be safe, and still enjoy the pleasures of vaping... and if you're fairly new to this, I'd recommend something like the MVP (or even the VAMO) as a good intermediate battery MOD, and a good tank from Kanger, Aspire, Innokin, Anyvape/Davide, etc. Yet, even an eGo-style spinner battery and a quality tank/coil combo, paired with their favorite e-juice serves the masses quite well too.
  6. Sounds like you need to change the coil? What is your rig? Battery, tank brand/style? Knowing those will help to diagnose the issue better, but when in doubt, a coil change fixes a lot of problems.
  7. I've had my AeroTank for over a week, and I like the adjustable flow so much, I just ordered AeroBases for my two PT2's ! One of my juices was VERY thick (no clue on ratio), and it often gave me dry-hits, which is why it's on the shelf right now If I'm not mistaken, the juices I'm currently using are 50/50 ratio, and they flow well with my Kanger tanks, BCC or BDC.
  8. I smoked cigars for 30 years... and I found that 24mg was too strong in the juices I was trying, after about a week... I switched to 18mg and have been there for more than a month. I still get a strong hit from time to time, so maybe when I finish this order out, I'll mix in a little 12mg to my 18's and level it out at 15 or 16mg... But yes, there is a huge difference to me in 24mg and 18mg based on throat hit alone....
  9. If you have a smooth ring, but does not say KangerTech EVOD on it, you may have an EVOD clone? This is not a bad thing if it is... as the same EVOD coils should work perfectly. I think measuring the capacity will give you a better idea... EVOD should be between 1.8ml and 2.0ml... MT3 is definitely larger capacity. For conversion, 2.0ml = 0.406 tsp... 2.5ml = 0.507 tsp... 3.0ml = 0.609 tsp... so if the tank holds more than half-tsp, it is probably an MT3... less than a half-tsp, you've got an EVOD
  10. Was the juice in the eGo case as well? Like I said before... my local airport (Lexington KY) is horrible... Seriously, it's almost an armed-response if you have a chap-stick in your coat-pocket, because it's not "properly secured" in the 1-qt zip-lock with your shampoo and toothpaste!
  11. The EVOD and EVOD 2 use different coils... the "2" is a bottom-dual-coil (BDC), whereas the original EVOD is a single-coil (BCC) According to the box I'm looking at... The coils I use with my PT2, PT2mini, or EVOD do not fit the MT3, and a quick search shows the MT3 coil boxes are white and list the following compatibility: T3S, T3 and MT3S, MT3. Will the EVOD coils fit and work? I cannot answer that, but the odds are against it. Yes, the Kanger EVOD tanks have a clear drip-tip which is not removable. EVOD2's and EVOD2 Glass have removable Stainless drip-tips. I've seen the MT3's with clear drip-tips as well, but not sure if they were MT3 or MT3S. Oh, and I forgot to mention... my EVOD tank clearly says "KangerTech EVOD" on the bottom ring, and the MT3 tanks I'm looking at online seem to have a knurled bottom ring...
  12. Sounds to me like a good excuse for a ROAD-TRIP!
  13. If you have a local shop, they will have sample tanks where you can try a flavor, or 20, to find something you like... and if you're not satisfied with a single flavor, or their "blends"... you can always use your imagination and merge flavors on your own to get a whole new experience. A word of advice, though... when blending flavors, do it in small increments... 1ml of this, 2ml of that, etc.... that way you don't end up wasting 30ml of juice on flavor that tastes like crap, despite what you expected it to taste like Once you find a few flavors you like, then you can try similar ones from online shops, and may find you'll like those better. I buy things online, and from my local retail-shop... prices are about the same, once you factor in the freebies, sales, and the great service I get from the B&M staff.
  14. I still have Ce4 tanks, which I use for trying new flavors... the Ce5 is the same tank, but with replaceable coils. They are both top-coil units, which give you a warmer vape (coil is closer to your mouth), but as the tank gets lower and lower, you have to keep tipping it sideways to "load the wicks", which leads to dry or burnt hits. I also find the Ce4's to be a much tighter draw, which is what some people like. I will agree with the others... the EVOD kit is a much better starter... I wish the EVODs were an option for me when I bought my first kit! Check other online vendors for prices. I've seen EVOD starters with two batteries and two tanks for as low as $24.99 (up to $59.99 at brick-and-mortar shops), and you want your first kit to be a good one, so you'll not be discouraged with vaping. You WILL, eventually get hooked on the hobby and find yourself buying tanks, coils, batteries, MODs, etc.... But, nothing says you have to go nuts and spend hundreds or thousands of dollars... an EVOD kit will give you LONG service, and many people are quite content with them as their daily workhorses.
  15. My personal preference for single-coil is the ProTank 2 mini. It is a Pyrex tank and all stainless steel design... a real nice tank... If you're not worried about using plastic, the EVOD tanks are very nice too... and both of those use the same single-coil replacements. The EVOD2, EVOD2 Glass, and ProTank 3 Mini are all dual-coil designs... but they are all the same size as their single-coil sisters. I think you'll like the PT2 mini, but you'll have to decide which coil works best for you... some prefer 1.8, some (like me) prefer 2.0, and you can even go up to 2.2 or 2.4 ohm in singles.
  16. My MVP came with the iClear 30 (larger 2.5ml tank), and I, too, was not a fan of it... Fortunately, I also had other tanks to use with it. I find my larger tanks like the Kanger ProTank 2 or AeroTank work VERY well with the MVP... BUT, even my mini ProTanks (like your EVODs, with eGo connections) work just fine too! IMO, the smaller tanks just make the box-battery look like an old-fashioned walkie-talkie with a short antenna, lol, so I prefer the larger tanks on that form-factor!
  17. Hi, and WELCOME! First off... your choice of starter kit is pretty good... variable voltage (vv) eGo C twist are good batteries, and the ability to vary voltage will help you out in achieving a better vapor and flavor. The tanks there are Ce4's, which are a basic, disposable tank. They are good for a couple weeks, up to a month or so if they are not abused or chain-vaped, lol They'll be good enough to get you started. Just be aware not to vape any heavy-citrus or cinnamon flavors in them, as those tend to crack the plastic tanks... and don't over-tighten the tips after refilling... they will strip-out. As for bottom-coil tanks... I really like the Kanger ProTank 2 Mini... about the same diameter as your eGo-battery, and they perform well. The Ce4's have a replaceable coil sister, the Ce5, if you like that style. Some of the other options out there are MT3, EVOD, EVOD2, EVOD2 Glass, ProTank 2 Mini, ProTank 3 Mini... and those are just the Kanger line of 1.6ml (small) tanks. Innokin makes the iClear 16 line of tanks (about 3 or 4 different styles), Davide, and I'm sure I'm missing several more in that form-factor. There is also the option of larger tanks in the 2.0-2.5ml sizes which have adapters (beauty rings) to allow them to work with eGo threading, if your battery does not accept the 510 threads. So, yes, bottom-line is that there is a LOT of options for you in tanks, both style and brand... Disposables, top-coil replaceable, bottom coil replaceable, and all of these are available in single or dual-coil design... just to further complicate things for you...
  18. IMO, the Kanger ProTank 2 Mini is a wonderful tank, and the single coils are real work-horses. I use a 2.0 or 2.2 ohm coil with mine. I'm not familiar with the X6, but will assume it is a variable-voltage battery in the eGo size? Most of the VV batteries in that style run from 3.5 up to 4.2 volts, so you can calculate the Wattage output based on the coil resistance using Ohm's Law. At 3.7 volts (standard voltage for a non-variable eGo battery), using a 2.0 ohm coil, your wattage is 6.85W, so you may want to bump up the voltage on yours to 3.8-4.0V to get a better vape. Using a 2.2 Ohm coil, 3.7V will be 6.22W, so you may have to max out the voltage to get your best vape? Start low on the voltage, and try increasing it by 0.1V... take a few hits... turn it up... repeat. Once you get a burnt taste, back off 0.1 or 0.2 V to get your best results. If none of those settings work for you... try a higher or lower resistance coil, but I've found that my KPT2mini really performs well with 2.0 ohm coils on my eGo batteries, running 3.7V (standard). One thing about VV or VW battery MODs is that you have to play with the Voltage or Wattage (along with coil resistance) to find what you like best... Hope that helps you out
  19. Haven't seen the billet box... would love to though! For things I "handle", I'm not a fan of mirror finishes like chrome, smooth stainless, or polished aluminum... which is why I'd prefer a VTR in black/chrome or jungle-camo/chrome. I love the look of the chrome on my bike, but it's all the right places, where it doesn't get smudges and fingerprints Otherwise, my OCD would have me rubbing a diaper over it, more than riding it! Something to carry on the bike, in my tank-bib-pouch (VTR would fit nicely), or a handlebar mount would be nice... so I wouldn't have to worry about it falling out of my pocket... Maybe I'll just fabricate a tube with foam lining and a handlebar-mount for my eGo-style units? Done right, I could probably make a fortune selling them on eBay, bwahahaha...
  20. Last night, I just charged one of my 1100mAh eGo batteries (fully depleted) and my MVP 2.0 (which had been in the yellow for almost an hour)... I popped them both onto chargers at the same time. MVP charged fully (light off) in just under 3 hours, while plugged into the USB 2.0, 1A port on my PC. eGo battery was charging from standard 420mAh charger, plugged into 1A max output wall charger, and just after 3-hrs, the battery flashed, and the charger light went green. When I went to unplug it, the battery flashed again, and the charger went red. I unplugged everything, removed the battery, and turned it OFF. After 20 min, I hooked everything back up and plugged it back in... and it charged for another 2.5 hours, but this time everything stayed green! Crazy, I know... Yet another reason I'm loving the MVP! But, I keep the eGo-style batteries around for their portability.... Once they need replacing, I'll probably pick up some V2 Spinners to keep the form-factor, but still have some degree of "control"....
  21. You bring up a good point... I don't think any of us can count "experimentation" with new flavors/brands. My first two weeks of vaping, I probably ran through half (or more) of each 10ml bottle I tried... at least a dozen of them, and some were emptied by trying combo-flavors... This is why I didn't start to notice my consumption had leveled to 20-25ml per week until after the first few weeks of experimenting, and after I had settled on my two preferred, all-day flavors. Something I've noticed that I had been doing.... if I get a flavor that is not to my liking, I'll try to mix it with something else to make it tolerable, or roll through it quickly, rather than toss it out or give it away... I'd rather use it, even if it is yucky, instead of toss that money into the trash-can I try to keep a 30ml bottle of Vanilla handy... mixing a little Vanilla into almost anything "bad" can make it a bit more palatable, at least IMO....
  22. Must be buying them from my local retailer, lol... They're selling Ce4's to the sheeple for $7.99 each, all day long! Also, I'll add that the "tank" you're referring to (Ce4 style) is good for several refills, and typically last a week at minimum, up to 3-weeks... before the coil gives out or it gets gummed up (hard draw). Yes, they are disposable, but they are also VERY refillable, numerous times! Be aware they are plastic, and tend to crack/break/leak if you use e-juice that is citrus, mint, or cinnamon. I also hear that menthol flavors may cause problems in plastic. $20 for 10 is a bit high, even for eBay. The last dozen I bought (over a month ago, and still have 9 unused, one has been tossed, and two are in use) ran me $15 with free shipping from eBay.
  23. Yep, been there... Also have one that would unscrew from the 2-3 threads that hold it, but was near impossible to PULL away from the tank portion... like trying to pull the cork from a wine bottle without a corkscrew...
  24. I was looking at the Mega too... I really like the SS tank option in the package... but not crazy about the price yet, lol. I'll follow this post, as I'm interested in a replaceable battery MOD (looking hard at the VTR) in the future, and the multitude of batteries out there is mind-numbing! I have a NiteCore charger and a couple of NiteCore 2600mAh batteries (protected, button-tops) I use for my LED flashlight, and I'm sure they would work in a VTR (although I'd not re-use my flashlight batteries in a MOD, I'd buy new ones and keep them separated), but if there is something better out there for vaping... I'm all ears to the experts!
