  1. Seriously, do we need any further proof that the FDA is on the dole with the Pharma Conglomerate?
  2. Jodie, congratulations to your Dad! Such a nice thing you did for him! He could end up being okay with the 18mg, though letting him know that he might be using his pv more frequently was good advice. I'm sure others will chime in with their favorite "hard core" tobacco flavors, but there are several excellent tobacco flavors right here at the Vapor Talk Store that you or he may want to sample. I'm sure all of us will be sending "good vape-vibes"! Gluck! Let us know how it goes!
  3. Hi again, yes, many use vaping as a means of quitting analogs, but many others use it as an alternative to them. It depends upon your personal goals. There is no right or wrong, you musts or you shoulds. There is information on the forum that compares nicotine intake with smoking analogs, and perhaps someone will address it again here. E-liquid comes in different strengths. You can go hi or lo. Since smoking analogs has literally been banned in our society (NYC is poised to police the outdoors everywhere here...), it's a blessing that I can vape pretty much whenever and wherever I choose. I highly recommend reading what interests you on the forum and online. There are great how-to videos here, and all of us are willing to assist you in whatever way we can! Gluck!
  4. Welcome to the Vapor Talk Forum! I believe you're armed with all the information you'll need to be a successful, happy and contented vaper! Don't hesitate to ask any questions as they come up! Gluck!
  5. Well, I suppose it's comforting that the Minnesota legislature views them as tobacco products... The Heigl video was all over the news, i.e., CBS, Huff Post, and somewhere else I can't remember at the moment...some blog that was linked to the CBS online article, the thrust of which is e-cigarettes are not regulated, the health effects are not documented, and that they will attract people under the age of 18. I would expect to see more and more of this in the mainstream media. I'm somewhat amazed that there has been no decision, no news on the NJoy case.
  6. There is no way I could say no to him! I guess you can't call a little soldier sweet, but sweet he is! PS: I've ordered a ton of this popcorn in the past when the cub scouts came knocking on the door. It's really good! It looks like a scout on the website sold $22,000 of this stuff!
  7. Hi, yep Dayvape said it well! Early on I had difficulties using all VG, same thing, slow on the draw, and it wicked gummed-up my attys. I get powerful vapor with some all PG liquids. I would never, ever use all VG in a carto. To me, it would be like pouring syrup into it. This is just my personal experience with VG.
  8. Hi, wow, sorry to hear that. I purchased an eGo from Janty USA. I had to return a battery, and have contacted Ethan on several occasions re my atty, warranties, etc. I've only had a good experience with them. You might try a regular email. Do hope you can hear from them and/or receive your order!
  9. Hi again, Direct dipping is great for vapor and flavor, but it's not easy to dd when you're driving or otherwise using your hands. The reason why so many of us talk about cartomizers (atomizer and filler in one), and love them is because you can fill it with about 10-20 drops of e-liquid and vape continuously for several hours before having to top it off. I find dd is good when I'm lazing in front of the computer, tv, on the phone, or with a friend. Those are the obvious differences. I hope this helps, but don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I'm sure others will chime in here.
  10. Welcome to the Vapor Talk Forum! Some very good advice presented here! It IS a little overwhelming at first looking into the options for what e-cigarette to purchase! If budgeting is an issue, in the long run, you'll get the most for your money with an eGo. Try to have fun with this! It's an adventure! Gluck!
  11. Oh, so many favorites! You might want to try out the Vapor Talk Store (link at the top) for quality e-liquid! Supplier link at the top will give you an idea of the types of e-liquid in the marketplace, i.e., VG or PG based, combos and every flavor imaginable! Gluck!
  12. Hi again, there are so many e-liquid vendors out there, and everyone has their favorite juice and vendor. You might want to start out right here from the Vapor Talk store with Dulcis. It's sooooooooooo good! You will get an idea of what quality e-liquid is about. There are places that offer tobacco, I believe it's 10/3ml sampler packs, like Awesome Vapor. I've had some hit and misses with e-liquid along the way. It's the nature of the beast. You can read e-liquid reviews here on the forum. Some of the videos are hilarious as well! Have fun with this! We're rooting for you!
  13. The 510 is the slimmer stick-type mod. Produces great vapor using a 510 atomizer, charge lasts approximately two hours, and then you charge it for about two hours. The ego is a heavier wider pv mod (many pics are available online) with a charge that lasts anywhere between 6-12 hours, and recharges in about two hours. The eGo uses 510 atomizers which makes it a versatile unit. I can't give you a comparison between the 510 and 520, but someone will chime in here with that. Hope this helps for now.
  14. Hi joylynne, when I'm vaping a lot as well and sometimes sporadically during the day, my tastebuds seem to not be operating correctly imo. I will switch flavors. Sometimes that will do the trick. Then I've had days, not many, where the taste of e-liquid falls flat, maybe time to use a new cartomizer or break in a new atty. I wonder too, if it's the VG or PG base hitting my throat? Idk, but it seldom goes beyond the time frame of a day.
  15. I'm Nobody! Who are you? Are you – Nobody – too? Then there's a pair of us? Don't tell! they'd advertise – you know! How dreary – to be – Somebody! How public – like a Frog – To tell one's name – the livelong June – To an admiring Bog! Emily Dickinson/and "Lily", again
  16. Aaahh...purple is one of my favorite colors...purple you lived a good life...RIP purple...or maybe clean it as mcquinn suggested...ya never know...
  17. I realize this is not all that helpful, but I'm at their site from Firefox as well. Wet Your doesn't have a phone # listed, otherwise you could call it in . Have you linked to it before? Maybe Jeff would have a suggestion?
  18. Hi, welcome to the Vapor Talk Forum! Everyone has their favorite starting point. From what you've posted, it would make sense to start out with a Janty/Joye eGo, and then move forward if you need and want to. The eGo is 6-12 hours between charges. Using a cartomizer, which is an atomizer with filler in one unit, would be a simple and easy plan for your father. There is a lot of information here on many different pvs. Going through the Supplier link at the top of this page will be helpful. Most of all, don't hesitate to ask questions! We are here for that very reason!
  19. Congratulations! Happy Vaping! PS: I'm almost at the four month marker. Today I had the strongest urge to smoke an analog. I don't know why...but, I didn't do it! I vaped the thought away!
  20. Hi, keep on, keeping on! You're on the way!
  21. Lol I know about the outside paper and glue. I tried peeling that off once to get a "stainless steel" look to a carto! It was a chore. Haven't done it since!
  22. Hi, I've rinsed and boiled cartos. Didn't know there was glue and paper in them...hmmmm. Anywayz, I've had some come out like they were new, some with the taste you're describing, some where I could still taste the previous e-liquid flavor, and a couple I've killed. I make an effort not to waste too much juice on a carto, especially a "used" one. It's not be cost-effective imo.
  23. Hi, Welcome to the Vapor Talk Forum! Whacha ordering? Basic questions are the best kind to ask!
