  1. I agree as well because, I too, tend to be rather tough on equipment. The other thing that concerns me is the fact that it says PG, I tend to use 100% VG. I would not want to buy a machine that would not work with the fluid I vape. Anne
  2. Can't wait to see it. How can one get on a list of testers for not only this device, but others? Keep in mind, I am not very technically inclined, but as someone who is on the go all the time, I can and will certainly give information on ease of use as well as how mobile the device is. Anne
  3. My first thought is Cool!!! I hope it works, and will wait to see what others say. My second thought is one of a mechanical issue. To get the vapor, the gel has to heat up. At that point won't it just turn to a liquid? If so, well, we could be back to square one....messy, leaky atomizers. Don't get me wrong, I just make up for the mess and leaks by having a napkin or paper towel on hand. Anne
  4. I agree, what vendor....although because taste is subjective I doubt that it is as bad for others that might like it. I would love to find a nice sweet buttery butterscotch flavor myself. Still looking and so far, haven't found any, but I am sure one is out there. Anne
  5. OK, now you got me interested. Where can I find these? Anne
  6. Personally, I like the look of the pen styles, but still haven't found one that is good. Yes, I tried the 801s and the draw was extremely tight....yikes that won't do. I do have an eCO on the way as the 2 510 batteries that I have pant to keep up with me. I am also trying a higher nic content fluid to see if that will help. We will have to see what comes out of all of this. BTW--I know what you mean by the twinge that happens when you see or smell someone light up. I still have those on occasion, but have yet to give into them. This last Friday I was picking up a friend from her job and she had run out of cigs while working that day. The first thing she asked is if I had any with me. My reply was I hadn't had one since that first weekend that I had my ecig. She thought I was joking with her, but quickly found out otherwise. Anne
  7. Got a 520 on the way. PT would only be for while I am stuck sitting and doing homework at home. Thinking of going with another starter kit instead. Maybe a pen type model. Don't remember the specific model or name, but I think it is something like a DSE 801....a pen type model. That will give me a total of 4 complete units. With that, I shouldn't have much trouble keeping a charged battery or two ready to go.
  8. Ok, assuming that this thing works as well (and probably better) than this stupid cheapie freebie that I have (atomizer is already dead--I nearly bust a lung to try and get any air through it at all), it looks like I will be getting another starter set or a passthrough....although I have heard those are very tough on mother boards. Yikes.....
  9. Well, I just ordered my 520. Unfortunately, tomorrow is Sunday and Monday is a federal holiday. He didn't know me from eve as I was a totally brand new customer. He called this evening and needless to say, he wound up taking my order. So far, nothing but thumbs up here as well.
  10. Actually very seriously considering the Joye 520 from Wordup. I sent them an email with a few questions and am waiting to hear back from them.
  11. Ok, tried my first ecig today. It was from ecigdirect. Yeah, they use a cartomizer (I think that is what they are called). So far, with that, I have smoked less today than I have in quite awhile. For me, I am officially declaring this very promising. I am not sure that is a good model for me. Very short atomizer power time (short drag), some sort of burnt funky flavor (but yet I do taste hints of vanilla in it...I know doesn't make much sense), the drag also seems quite difficult, up side is that the taste is very smooth. Anyway getting ready to order my first ecig and we will see how it goes.
  12. I would love to, but this first ecig has got to go with me to school. Hence the reason I was asking about the other...it is more pen like. Got enough problems at school (and yes, I am of age...I am attending a technical school for dental assisting) and I would really like to venture into something that is a little more discreet without compromising too much on battery power, vapor formation, and throat hit. Thanks
  13. I was looking at possibly ordering a Pro 901 and I noticed that manual batteries cannot be charged with the PCC. Is there a model that allows this?
  14. Ok, after doing some rather extensive hunting around, I think I have been able to decide part of this whole equation. I definitely want something that is sleek and good looking as well as not looking like your traditional cigarette. Would prefer a thinner model though and battery life has got to be good to excellent.
  15. Ok, getting a little overwhelmed here. I just recently started dental assisting school and currently have one instructor that is highly allergic to cigarette smoke and I know that when it is time for us to do our clinicals that the odor would be a big draw back as well. Thus the interest in trying ecigs. Over the last few days, I have looked at soooooooooo many sites and soooooooo much information I am totally lost and really want to scream. We have order a couple of trial versions (Prada and directecig.com) and needless to say we will look at the fine print when they arrive!! If it looks like extra charges will come they will get shipped right back....without me even trying them. I currently smoke Misty Silver and Capri Jade (yeah, two brands...one is cheaper than the other and there is a size difference as well). I am concerned, though, that the lower cost "free trial" versions will not perform as well as some of the regular models and that will turn me off of it completely. I am lost as to the battery/atomizer ratio. I know that they effect vapor production. I do want a good easy pull with the solid feeling of the smoke (vapor) hitting my throat. Cartridges are a complete loss to me and what is with this "e-juice". Do I have to mix this myself or can I buy it premixed. On the hardware side of the models, what model parts interchange with other model/brands parts? Now you can see my confusion. I am hoping and praying that there will be somebody here who can help me out with getting all of this straight without them having their bottom line (profits) in mind. I will also add that being in school and taking 24 credit hours this semester, well, in hunting all over the web this weekend has really cut into study time. Help being told the best affordable (yes, unemployed, so money is a serious consideration) model with the best affordable battery and atomizer would be greatly appreciated. I will have time around the holidays to look at videos and gain more knowledge and will certainly do so. Thanks
