Update: I got a hold of Abe over at LF and it seems like my replacement is now on its way. Still no idea what happened, but I did read on their forum they'd been having problems with their phone company, might have had something to do with that.

I ordered a Riva 510 starter kit about five weeks ago, no complaints. Had a few questions about the product beforehand, and the e-mail support was very fast and helpful. The Affiliate Scheme is sheer brilliance, by the way. Ordered some more e-liquid a week or so ago, again fast delivery (ordered Friday, arrived Tuesday. UK to Belgium. Not shabby at all). However. One of the Riva 510 batteries arrived defective. There was something wrong with the button; it's default state was on. If I tugged on the button a bit, I could hear the click you usually hear when pressing the button and it would turn off. When I let go, it turned on again. I e-mailed support, they told me I just had to pop it in the mail and it would be taken care of. So I did, with a form with all my information and why a dead battery should suddenly arrive at their doorstep. After two weeks, I sent an e-mail asking if they had received it, or if something maybe had gone wrong, or, anything really. No response. I've sent various e-mails since then, without any response. At first I thought my e-mail client was somehow interfering, so I tried the in-browser g-mail client, tried replying directly to the person who replied to my initial complaint, support@ in general, with a different e-mail adress thinking maybe I kept winding up in the spam folder or something (also checked my spam folders of course, in case the replies wound up there). But it's been 4 weeks now and I still haven't had an answer. I've given up hope of ever seeing that battery again (I'm assuming it got lost in the mail, I don't know), and I doubt this happens a lot, but I just thought I should include it in my small review anyway. Neverthelesss, I can still recommend Liberty-Flights.co.uk. Other than the battery incident and my e-mails apparently disappearing into the aether this is a great e-cig shop with very competitive pricing.

Oh, no doubt. I was more impressed by how fast I got a reply, and it was already past normal office hours too.

Have to say, LF customer service is top notch. I sent them an e-mail regarding the battery just before posting here, and I've already got a reply; just send it back, and they'll mail me a new one. Nice.

Woo, I decided to go for the Riva, and it arrived today. My favourite e-liquid so far is the Liberty-Flights Pear, which actually tastes like banana. Overall, all good. Unfortunately, one of the two batteries is defective; it's always on and I have to gently pull on the button a bit to turn it off, but it of course switches right back on as soon as I let go. Kind of puts a damper on things.

Hiya, I'm seriously considering switching to e-cigarettes, but man is this stuff overwhelming. I've read around a bit, and I've still got a few quick questions: with an atomizer + cartridges, what's the best way to refill them? I've heard about dripping two to three drops directly onto the fuzzy bit of the atomizer, which lasts a few puffs. Isn't it easier to fill up the cart, or can the cartridge also only hold a few drops, and am I then better off with cartomizers if I can't be asked to refill them every half hour? I think I've decided on the Joye 510 btw; everyone agrees that the vapor and throat hit is good, and that the battery life is decent. I'd go for an Ego but I prefer one that still somewhat resembles a cigarette. Does anyone have any experience with www.anycig.com? Speed of delivery, do they honour the 30 day warranty, stuff like that. It looks pretty good, and seems to have the cheapest Joye 510 starter kits around (€30). Or if anyone knows of a good supplier for a European fellow to use, please. I'm planning on buying two starter kits (if I don't like it after all, I've got enough people I can gift them to), an extra usb charger, a usb passthrough for when I'm behind the PC, 10 empty cartridges, and about 4 10ml e-juice flasks, different flavours ofc, mix and match a bit. Want to throw as much in a single shipment as I can, keep down shipping costs. Is there anything else I should throw in there while I'm at it? And what nicotine strength would you recommend for a Pall Mall smoker who values a good burny throat hit? Also, what e-juice flavour, and from what chef(?), best resembles Pall Mall? Right, I think that's all the questions I have for now.
