  1. I allow for shipping shaking. However, for quality juice requiring steeping.......must confess.
  2. As with many juice vendors....hear good and bad about Tasty Vapor. Some love it, some not so much. This would seem always the case, no matter who you may ask about. What flavor juice do you seek? I cannot personally comment on TV but have read where person will swear by the flavors offered. Just my experience, but it came down to what flavors I liked.....then found the supplier through trial. Put this way? If I'm not into 555 for instance, it matters little who has the best? Could you help us out with a preference toward juice? Very limited here (in the big picture of juice flavors) but could help with some tobacco's, for instance.
  3. Yet to see an add for side affects, which include; hair loss, headache, abdominal pains, nausea, potential heart problems, liver malfunction, kidney failure, see your doctor before taking etc....ala the commercials you see ALL the time for approved products. "There's just not enough testing yet, things unknown about e cigs?" I concur.......
  4. Nice read, and it's IMHO when it's clear how they can take over the whole thing? You'll see all kinds of these type articles on the main stream.
  5. Had this happen to my all day vape, and vendor of choice for over a year. Something changed in the juice and it mattered not what delivery device I placed it in. Not to say it's the case here....but it's my suspicion the base changed and created a mixture that sadly, I'll no longer vape. The flavoring was there, but something changed and it was not my taste buds (as is very possible in some cases). It was a sad day and had to move on for the new favorite all day juice after ordering again with the same result. One of my top five favorites also came from this vendor and it had the same chemical taste while the flavor was still present. Time to move on for me.......
  6. Interesting you would mention the KGO and purchased one from a vendor who gives a very strong case for the 3.7 vaping. My experience with this device shows a very nice vape on standard and 2.0 carto, but it's very finicky once you go to the tank, Echo, and EMDC. The genuine Joye runs these delivery devices without a hiccup and I never leave home with JUST the KGO batt.....unless it's a full up CARTO, and short period of time. I mention the Echo only for a very steady and reliable vape for the money. It may not have the right draw, TH, and taste of your choice, but it hits every time. Put another way, get yourself something along this line so your not frustrated while running around buying and paying shipping on every device out there without having a go to delivery device when others begin to tick you off. This also completes 2/3 of your journey...having taken care of the battery, reliable device, and have only the juice to settle in on. While ordering juice? Just grab a couple of the latest craze delivery systems and try em out. Cheapest and most efficient way to go about it IMV. Vape on.........
  7. Go Hawks! I'm having pretty good luck with the 1.7 LR on the standard 3.2-3.7 range and would go no lower in resistance on the Ego. While the 1.7 is pushing the mosfet........it's best to charge these batts often and not let them drain down too far. I've "topped them off" most every day on the 650's, and every other day on the 1000mah; never to lose one. The aforementioned Echo just came out in dual coil, and per usual, I don't see the big craze. Lower resistance on the single coil out performs all duals I've purchased. IMHO? It would have been better for this vapor person if they'd simply dropped the Echo from 2.5-2.8 range and run it down to 2.0 on a single coil. Others may have a different experience but I'll take the 2.0 Boge (best TH out there IMV) or the 1.7 singles and if I never buy another dual coil, I'll be fine. The 1.7 holds more than the Boge but does not equal the TH factor......but I'll take the juice capacity on most days. Provari is pretty awesome vaping for what I hear. Would probably have one if funds allowed, but my 3.7 mods are humming right along.
  8. Another Iowan in the mix? Grew up SE of Des Moines and hello to DMIA. I agree with Brian in total. You'll never get the pure hit and flavor of the direct drip, but I gave it up pretty quick for convenience. Still have a couple 306's and use them for new juice testing. Here's the gig on the tank atty......you'll love it for a couple of weeks until it begins to go south (and that can happen quickly, with no indications) and then you'll begin the messing around, pulling wick plates, dry burning etc. Would not recommend it for a new vapor person unless your willing to toss the 8-12 bucks out the window when it begins to act up. Loved it for a while and still fiddle with a couple of them because their awesome when they work at full potential. Have moved to the Echo-e, and though the draw is too tight for me? It holds the same amount of juice as the tank and is ultra reliable. I leave for a 10 hour shift with three flavors loaded, and of course, three Joye 900-1000mah batts. No way I'll get hung up here and be out of juice or batt power. No leaks, no mess, and no fuss. Fill and go.......
  9. Yet another concurrence on the Ego. The 900mah is a great fit and just the right size for me. Just my take, but you'll have more expense figuring out what delivery device to stick on it. Ego allows for this research to be done with just the right amount choices. Get the right batt and your 1/3 there, with ease. Now for the juice and delivery device.....and let the fun begin.
  10. Nice points by all and it seems your in good hands. Another suggestion if you like menthol and vanilla? Halo has a menthol with a vanilla exhale called Ice. TH is going to be a bit pronounced on this juice but I keep it handy in the vape cabinet. Was never a menthol smoker but really like this stuff. (also love vanilla) They offer a very smooth and lightweight menthol called Truepure which has almost a creamy type menthol hint. Very smooth and mellow vape with TH being what you want it to be. Just did a small review of a new vanilla favorite from Mountain Vapor and it's very smooth. Could always opt for a good vanilla at low nic and add to your menthol for taste. These two together make for one of my favorites. BTW, nice choice of battery for starting out. Had a Mega Joye that would not die, and lasted for months on end. Almost held a service when it finally went south. Good luck and happy vaping........
  11. Had about given up on a good vanilla, and stopped having the vendor throw in a small bottle for 2.99 (or whatever) just to give it another go. Mountain Vapor had the Echo-e in stainless; along with true shipping prices for trying a couple of these newer delivery systems. After reading the description of personal care and quality ingredients for their juice line.....I took one last stab at it and ordered the vanilla. The 50/50 mix at 24 mg landed a few days ago and I've been vaping it straight ever since. This mix has none of the chemical taste or weirdness of others I've tried and it's silky smooth, but not what I would call rich or creamy. This is the type of vanilla one can mix with some good tobacco or menthol for that hint of flavor that does not overpower. Yet, it's very pronounced with a hint of dryness on exhale and perfect for the aforementioned. Vapor production and TH is more than adequate and blends nicely at 50/50 all the while revealing a deft hand with the mixture. This vendor's prices are excellent and immediately ordered another 30ml, and I have their Cinnyum coming along for the PO ride. Not only was this juice an excellent mix, the website claims one new dual coil Echo with order of 30ml of juice.....free just for trying. But this appears to end soon as the website states DC Echo's will be available for ordering, beginning early Sept. Place that with the actual shipping charge and this vapor person jumped right on it. Mountain Vapor has a new customer for three major reasons: 1)Did not charge me 5.99 to send out 2 Echo-e devices 2)Ship time and communication were excellent 3)Juice is a very nice blend and quality at a great price. SITE IS BOOKMARKED AND CONSIDERED A VERY NICE FIND FOR ME http://www.mtnvapor.com/main.sc
  12. Agree on the Type A atty. Have a couple originals and use them for trying new juices. Condensation and plastic taste through the tank is much less pronounced on the B atty. The design of the tank atty is allowing for only the cigar tipped mouth piece so far. I've not seen a round tipped tank as yet and this would require a whole new design for flow and draw. Carto set up suggestions and free round drip tip included..... http://crystalclearvaping.3dcartstores.com/15-CCV-Mega-LR-17-THE-RESURRECTOR_p_47.html http://crystalclearvaping.3dcartstores.com/Drip-Tips_c_17.html Tank capacity carto with option for later round tip addition and Echo-E http://www.ecigsejuice.com/categories/E-Cig-Cartridges-Cartomizers-Drip-Tips/
  13. The 1.7 Resurrector is threatening to push aside the beloved Boge 2.0's. Lighter and more fluff is the filler, with increased capacity. Echo-E 510 carto arrived today and pretty impressive on the 3.7 mod. Very stylish look on the Ego and capacity equal to the B tank atty.
  14. Big yes vote on the drip tips for cartomisers. Do like the T atty LR Type B, and when it's working and humming right along? Best thing for pure taste and care free vaping IMO. (outside of direct drip of course) However, when they go south and your just beginning with them.....it can cause some heartache. Failure can be quick and sudden and if your on the road in the hopes for care free, there is a possibility you'll be frustrated. Sure do like them a lot when around the house, but never leave home with just one. Just received the 510 Echo-E today and so far so good. They are not in the LR realm as yet, but I'm duly impressed at 3.7 mod vaping. Delivery device is very good at the Ego range as well and it holds about the same as the B Tank atty. The EE does not have the pure taste of the tank (due to poly fill) but the trade off is very low, if any, failure rate. It's a big carto so to speak and once you know it's good after filling....it will remain good for duration. Very stylish look on the Ego batt and time will tell if it nudges out the tank atty in the long term. Gave up on the Ego Mega Dual real quick as I do not enjoy placing near 4ml of juice in a poly filled cartridge and then hoping it's not a dud or losing all that juice if it fails. Around 2.0 filling capacity works great for me as I run 2-3 flavors at a time and rotate devices throughout the day. The Echo-E can be filled numerous times with the bottom coil allowing for actual extraction of filler, cleaning, and replacement. Jury still out.........
  15. Let us begin with the admission of the taste subjective mantra. No juice is going appeal to all those in the vapor arena. This is a given for the vaping world and applies for all; be you a veteran, or rookie in the whole scheme of things. This well known fact would seem to suggest a review of any any juice appearing futile at best, and disingenuous in the least. However, if you've been at it for a while? Some juice vendors will separate themselves from the pack, and Halo has been doing this for many a moon now. This vapor person abstains from all cookie, bar drinks, fruit and nutty etc, type vapes. Tobacco based only for me and would not pretend to know one thing about chocolate coconut, pineapple filled, Bavarian creme, cherry cola type juice and would never attempt to rate such stuff. To each his/her own, and on with the review........ This juice is Halo at it's best IMHO. I call it somewhere between a 555 and strong tobacco sweet cured. The aroma of this juice would seem more a hint of 555, but there is something else going on here. It's the type of juice you crack open, let it breath for a moment, and what follows for me is a can't wait to vape it sense of urgency. We've all had that uncork it, but this can wait type of juice, and it's everywhere. Yep, this is the usual stuff and no hurry. Not so with Tribeca. TH on this juice is nothing short of stellar and one gets a wonderful taste on inhale....and more so than most. Bountiful flavor on inhale is followed by an increase of flavor going out. It stays with you throughout the whole experience and never wavers in taste. This from a person who does not care much for the 555 juice and would never purchase it after trying a few in the beginning. If I want some walnuts, pecans, or almonds.....I'll go buy some. This juice does not overwhelm you with the flavor of nutty (it's just there) ever so slight as compared to others and certainly acceptable given the perfect blend of the classic Halo tobacco nuance. Juice is golden/yellow in color and runs clean through all delivery systems in the arsenal. Run it through the tank atty, Boge 2.0, and the Ego Mega Dual Coil. Some juices will gunk up the tank atty pretty quick. but Halo juices run very nice and pure through this setup. Matter of fact, I prefer it in the tank due to equipment longevity and pure taste. For those who love TH? This juice will kick you right up on micro brew night and remains my ultimate flavor on those occasions, no matter what the delivery device. Plumes of vapor is another Halo trait and enough said toward that aspect. Kudo's to the chemist over at Halo. This juice rolls off the pallet in fine fashion and I struggle to figure out what else is in there? Perhaps the mystery is part of the whole experience and wish I could better explain it to the vapors reading this. After vaping for near two years and starting out with Freedom.......I've returned to Halo and Tribeca is a must have in the vape cabinet. It can be an all day juice for me, and one of those I get a little panicky when bottle shows less than half. Highly recommend. Disclaimer.....In no way do I benefit currently from pushing a vendor's juice. I've received my freebies, appreciation gifts, and rewards from vendors over the months and have offered opinions on juices to vendors directly. Matter of fact, I sent the person at Halo a mixed reaction to one of their current new products after receiving a sample off a purchase of Tribeca. This review is late in the game as Halo has announced (and marketed) other juices in the interim. I happen to believe any person who loves 555 or does not care for an overwhelming nutty taste would very much appreciate this mix. Thanks for reading. Maverick......and yes, I know the title should read T-R-I-B-E-C-A but can't contact anyone for correction and does not seem to allow for correction of title after posting. Oh well.......
  16. Slick idea and sounds most efficient. Sold on the silicone caps as well, and soon as the stock plastic caps provide a hint of problem.....slap on the silicone replacements. Nice to hear positive feedback, and happy vaping.
  17. Hey SOSO.....debates are a nice way of hearing both view points and those who favor the VV have very valid points for obtaining, or having one already. I happen to have a couple 3.7 18650 mods that would add up to the Provari pricing but never chose to part with this amount of money all at once. Would love to own one if the extra bucks were available. Was just pointing out for those on the fence......3.7 has been less expensive for me considering the priorities. Actually, the best hitting mod I ever had was a 14500 box mod I built for 13.00. Hit just as good or better than the 100.00 18650. That's whats fun about the whole gig. You can do anything you want and it's been a fun ride in the vaping world. Good luck to you sir, and vape on.
  18. There you go.......and sweeeet. Jeffb suggest you spend the 200.00 and set the device at 4.7 with standard resistance carto. I've heard this is nirvana and please excuse my ignorance in posting. I forgot the OP already had the now ancient Ego battery and was looking for something better. Vape on....and good luck.
  19. You may be correct on the Ego. Did vape a Mega Joye 280 for the first 6 months. It is a 3.2 device. Any other points to be made?
  20. Good points and concur for the most part. Was speaking more towards the investment. Chimed in with the expected result, and my personal experience. Have run Joye Ego's for two years now at 3.2 (whatever) and mods at 3.7 and this combo has done me well on a budget. By all means; if someone has the buckaroos to hit a VV mod....I say go for it and would not turn one down. However, 3.7 at 2.0 ohms is very sufficient for those who just want to vape with consistency, while keeping the initial cost down. Valid points on both sides of the issue, but for new people just starting out?........I'd get a 650 Ego, some good LR carts, and some decent juices to try out. The VV has little to do with performance per say. It's more a versatility item and I've yet to see it's advantage for casual vaping, considering cost and value.
  21. Hobbie? To the OP..... I've stayed with 3.7 vaping for several reasons. Your juice will remain consistent in flavor tone, your equipment and delivery device will not vary much, and VV will have you in hobbie mode, rather than vaping for pleasure IMO. Here's the gig as I see it: Once you leave the standard 3.7 you may complicate things towards ohm, resistance, burning juice etc. The range for 3.7 is very wide, but once you move to 5 volts etc......you'll be spending a lot more money unless you settle at this range. Some juices burn at 5 volts, your carto and atty purchases will need to match the voltage, and there are many other variables. VV means it does not matter what carto I buy? From what I've gathered over the years (please chime in, if I'm in error) there is very little difference in 5 volts with 2.8 ohms and 3.7 with 2.0 ohms. So what's the point? I've vaped at 6.0 volts and it requires a whole different set up than 3.7, while juice had to change, different equipment had to be purchased, and all manner of silly things. I picked up my 3.7 and ran the same thing I've been running for 2 years....no problem. Taking up fishing, golf, or cycling takes initial investment and vaping is no different. I guess it came down to enjoyment and analog replacement for me. The hobby can be fun and it depends on your budget and priorities. I for one do not need VV because I get the same result (seemingly) out of matching the delivery device and juice at 3.7. Now if I was to win the MI lotto tomorrow.........I'd take a Provari and set it at 4.2 while enjoying 2.0 resistance, just as now. No juice change, no carto or atty change, and no worries. Golden it would be.
  22. Nice advice from previous posters in this thread, and all so true. Once you get into the juice?...the last thing you'll want is something that tastes like an analog. Smoked Marb Reds (and variants) for many years and quit in one week with a 3 piece Joye. This back when vaping was a pain, and equipment in infancy. Told myself to go ahead and have that /after meal/morning/and high crave moment analog.....then vape. Soon it was vape, and then have the analog. End of story. Very apparent and never looked back. Nice people here to help you through, and to each his own. Leaned on many experienced vapors during the quitting phase and received tons of advice. Good luck!
  23. ProBeard has it right IMHO. Without going into techo terms (ohms, resistance, electrical circuits diploma thing) I've run down to 1.7 on the Egos simply due to a light and short draw. The mosfet is not designed for longevity hits on the LR stuff. For those persons who collapsed an analog with heavy draws when smoking.....this simply will not do on the Ego regulated switch. It's akin to revving a 4 cylinder motor to red line while driving. It'll take it for a while, or it may bust on the first maximum. Easy and sweet will get you there just fine at 1.7...... but 1.5 is pushing it to the limit. If your accelerating or drawing too long, or too hard, it will fail. Feather the accelerator and steady as she goes with the Ego mosfet. It will take hold, and last a long time.
  24. Prefer the cartos as mentioned due to ease of filling and throw away properties. Used to wash them out but agree once the inside material turns brown, it's not worth it and I just toss em. Best TH for me has been the Boge 2.0 and that's pretty common knowledge among long time vapor persons. LR Type B tank atty is the only atty I'll use and always have a couple of them on hand. Not going to spend half my day dripping 3-4 drops down a drip tip for a couple of hits (though this method and atty gives the best flavor and TH). The tank is outstanding for trying new juices and transitions to the next flavor in fine fashion, Best TH juice I've found is Tribecca which is some place between an RY4 and 555. Even with a 650 Ego and mentioned Boge........it gives a very nice kick during micro brew night.
  25. This could be a royal pain and early reports of people trying to fix this mesh "hood" which surrounds and holds the wick material in the spike. Was one of those rage things for a short period of time but I think the tank vapors decided it was too much hassle to buy the silica rope, or get the correct material for the hood. It's a surgical procedure for sure. I use two solutions; use the atty for direct drip on the coil for testing other juices, or dry burn and store the atty to use later when a different atty dies and use it's wick plate on your saved atty. If this tank system receives any performance and maintenance upgrades (V2) I for one would be a little disappointed if they do not sell a wick plate replacement as an option.
