  1. Yup. Found out real quick the need for piercing the center of the silicone cap with a needle, or like device. The pierce tube will then make a nice seal without compromising the integrity of the opening. The silicone cap I pierced using the plate tube leaks ever so slightly and would highly agree with the previous two posts on the old "pre-pierce" method for silicone tank caps. Nice observations and good advice.
  2. Hi Chindra One important thing to consider when starting out? I personally would not purchase anything which holds a ton of juice such as the GoGo, Ego Mega Dual, or other high capacity delivery carto device. For example......you will put 3.5ml of juice into a Mega Dual when your undecided on the juice itself. Boge 2.0 is perfect for trying juices with very little loss if it's not to your liking. If they're new, you can just rinse, dry, and start over and grab another one while you wait for that one to dry. The tank atty is also a great delivery device for trying juices and I actually mix juices in the tank. I would recommend genuine Joye for the tank atty and the LR Type B . Others have suggested the 650mah as a good battery to start and would agree.......this battery, 2.0 Boge, and some trial juices would serve you very well. Good luck!
  3. Great advice on the turning or twisting tank once the silicone cap is in use. This to ensure the cap is snapped down tight against the wick plate and not hung up on the tube. Couple other things I've noticed on the LR B atty.....I do not fill them much more than 3/4 full. This is a quick way to get the burned taste because the tank is too full and not enough air to vacuum the juice down when you draw. A primer puff will work, but I've found 1.5 ml of juice is just fine and air flow is adequate. Have also found if the atty starts to bring on a tighter draw, pull the tank and do a couple quick dry burns to remove the small excess amount from the coil. It beats the heck out of adjusting the wick up for those borderline too low in the tube atty's. Not low enough to make an adjustment, but not perfect either. These devices are the cats meow when running even close to maximum efficiency. Have a couple of juices that taste horrible in a carto, but shine very brightly in the tank. Nice discussion and a well run forum. Vape on......
  4. I'm wondering if your running genuine Joye Type B Tanks? Very careful on these forums to not push a vendor, heap unwarranted praise on product, or recommend something just because I got a great deal or freebies from a purchase. Have made a strong recommendation for Joye only on the tank atty however. I've had issues with every other received tank on the market, be it a trial, trade, or gift. Never had a genuine Joye tank leak if running correct depth on the wick and tank seal is tight. If it's Joye your running, it can only be one of those two things: If you remove the tank and notice juice pooling on the wick plate itself, it's the seal and you need the silicone caps. (you may also notice excess liquid around the bottom of the tank/opening) If your vaping and the tank leaks during the draw, the wick is set too low in the wick tube. (this would also explain why they leak sitting upright). While the B atty can be a little bit of a PITB.......it's still my go to device, and beats all others when running smoothly. If they give me a fit on occasion, or I get disgusted once a week, that's what the 2.0 Boge is for.
  5. Silicone replacement caps for tank atty.........https://www.cignot.com/SearchResults.asp The caps work better than the stock plastic ones IMHO. Would not recommend pulling the wick plate out by grabbing hold of the wick post with pliers. Ruined one real quick doing this as it created an oval opening which led to tank failure/no seal anymore. Using a regular sized paper clip.....form a small hook on one end and work it under the corner of the plate. Grab the now positioned paper clip with pliers and pop the wick plate out. Once I get a dry burn going and the atty is weak? There is no bother putting it back together as it will not be worth the effort. Saved many of them with the wick plate dry burn steps, but when their weak....their done. Hope this helps and happy vaping.
  6. Just got in the 1100mah KGO from Hoosier E Cig. True 3.7 and will stand toe to toe with the Omega 18650 device. All day battery, great price, (chrome is excellent) and has the nice rubberized activation switch of the Riva. Loads of difference between 3.2 and 3.7 with a Boge LR carto. Just my .02.
  7. Total agreement and great advice from the others. Being it sounds as though you'll be hitting this hard and often....I'd be serious about looking at the KGO 1100mah from Hoosier E-Cig. This being a true 3.7 device (but just a large Ego) and will easily last you all day with Boge 2.0 cartos. It will run right along side my Omega 18650 Mod without a hiccup, but is much more slender and easier to carry. All the while it has the nice soft activation switch of the Riva. Was never a menthol smoker but tried some for vaping and found them to be tolerable. However, I actually purchase Halo Menthol Ice and it's top dog in my book. Nice hint of vanilla on exhale and lot's of kick. Good luck on your venture and congrates on accomplishments thus far.
  8. Very good advice/revelation from other posters and all very true. Some of the first juices vaped after quitting analogs do not taste the same now. Two years later; the very juice I loved and used for quitting is not to my liking these days. Only vape about 5 juices (after a while, you narrow it way down) and have to switch up almost on a daily basis. Your taste buds changed and it's not uncommon, for what I've read over the months. Sometimes I get a little frustrated with it but my favorite juice on a 3.7 device with 2.0 carto places me back in nirvana. Many a day is saved with the tried and true until taste buds kick back up again. Matching juice with delivery device is key to the whole thing for me while the battery is much less an issue. Find your favorite juice, get with LR carto, and if you have 3.7 device/battery.....it will get you through those gaps. I think we all have them?
  9. I agree wholeheartedly with a couple of persons here. Boge LR cartos are the absolute best and if your running carts.....please pick up the best filling accessory on the market IMHO. Would not be without the Luer bottle and much easier than syringes. https://www.vaporset...c.asp?offset=10 Here's the Boge LR (perfect for Ego) in white or black. I peel the labels on a few so as to have that nice metal/steel look. https://www.vaporset...porparts510.asp You can also pick up the adapters for the 808 carts and the juice is not bad at all. Matter of fact, my all day vape for over a year comes from this vendor and he's great to deal with. Good Luck!
  10. Trustfire blue (or with flame) should be exactly the same. It's just a branding issue and I have them both. They are identical and your observations are correct.....they are a tad longer than a regular AA battery due to the protection circuit at the top. There will be a small wire running through the body as well, thus the illusion of bigger around etc. It's not your battery for the stated problem IMV. It's the box mod itself which sometimes will make things very tight inside. The solution is to shorten the negative spring by clipping off a little towards the larger diameter end of the spring. One of my favorite 14500m devices is a single 3.7 box that I made myself. These boxes are designed for standard AA and you may need to shorten the spring. The protected 14500 is an excellent battery (though a true approx 500mah, not 900) and they will not fit a normal flashlight, mouse, etc. Trim the coiled brass negative spring down and your golden.
  11. If the light remains on it would indicate the MOSFET switch has failed in the open position. Rare (as the previous post indicated). Had this happen on a Riva and left it sit until the light went out, which took several days on a newly charged battery. If the batt is only drawing off the little switch light (again, if it's indeed on) it will take quite some time to charge down. It's pretty much toast and if you've only had for a couple of weeks? Most vendors will accept return for a new one. I left mine outside and let it run down while waiting for the replacement. This is why vapors will be adamant about not carrying these in a purse/carry bag without removing the carto. It can happen..........and hope you get a replacement!
  12. Hello from Michigan. Pretty new here myself and been vaping for 15 months. A very simple, effective, and cost efficient unit would be an Ego with 2.0 Boge LR carts. With a virtual plethora of options for vape equipment, this set up would give you the most hassle free and proven performance vape IMHO. I started out with a classic 3pc Joye 510 and things have moved rapidly from there. If you happen to not take to the vaping concept, the Ego is a common demand battery for resale while providing the least amount of fiddling. You may be all over the map with juices and might want to have the equipment down while you search for the flavor of choice. I was very lucky in starting out because I discovered a solid juice vendor first, and then spent time fiddling with several devices. Doing both at the same might lead to frustration. Good Luck, and welcome!
  13. I agree and the syringe can be just as big a pain as dropping in. The above bottle Luer Cap would allow for precise dripping or injection right into the battery end. Your squeezing with one hand rather than trying to inject a plunger type device. May not seem like much, but it's world of difference.
  14. I was wondering if the OP did not have some SLB (gold) cartos and some of them do indeed have the wire running cross ways, and seemed plugged when you go to clear them. If I recall correctly, the Boge (silver) did not make one in this design. You can slip a paperclip by the wire and it will seem hard going but it was for me....the only choice. I fought them until they were gone and happily only ordered a few. What color are the threads?
  15. To the OP.....Was this the LR T atties? If so, had you tried the regular ones first? Wanted to know if there is a big difference. Not real happy with my regulars but they have MANY positive potentials. Thanks!
  16. If the 650mah battery works on everything but the new tank atty.....it would almost seem your atty is not contacting the center post on the battery. As my batts get a little "older" and had many different species (tanks, cartos, charges) screwed down on them, the center post on your batt will get slowly shoved downward. It can be raised back up by working around it with a small device/paperclip. (just don't twist it). Same way on cartos that do not seem to fire from one device to the next. If it fires on one batt, but not the other, it's because the post is down more on the one not firing. You would take a paperclip or similar device and pull the batt end of the carto out a little in order to make contact. Of course this would not work on the tank atty as the threads are fixed. Just a hunch but it does sound like your atty is not connecting to the center post on the batt.
  17. Please don't feel too lonely there. I tried them for 3 weeks and then sold em both. Great design and concept, but need a V3 methinks. I was constantly fiddling with them, all the while using a very clean 70/30 PG mix. When they worked, they were very good. Taste drop was pronounced and somewhat plastic while the draw was waaay to tight for me. Of course this is just MY experience and many like the new T atty. I wanted to like them, having spent the money, but 2.0 LR Boge nudged them out.
  18. I found these to be an absolute dream. I transfer them easily from one bottle to the next and it's rapid fire filling for cartos. Tried a syringe initially but not to my liking due to the multiple function/handling. These are just squeeze and go. The site also has the soft flexible ones. http://www.vaporsetc.com/vaporpartsmisc.asp?offset=10
  19. Have some 510 colored cartos coming in at 2.9V and we'll see how they go on a regular mega batt and 14500. Was looking at the new "ego's" out there and will be looking for feedback on these models. What has anyone found to be the best resistant carto on the Ego style batt at 3.7?
  20. Vanilla tobacco and Marb Red from vaporsetc on a 510 BB. The goods......
  21. All the juice suppliers mentioned here have received positive FB as I've been on other forums. Being a new person here, I'll be careful. LOL My favorite of the mentioned is Halo. Have to say though, even this juice was supplanted by a yet unknown US supplier in NY by name of vaporsetc. Their vanilla tobacco is nothing short of outstanding and every sample juice I've received from them has been very good. Their Marlboro Red is the best by far with obvious vape flavor vs analog. Who really wants to taste a real Marb at this point? This stuff is really very good. Get all my juice from here with great CS, fast ship, coupon codes, and more than fair price. Will have to order Halo Freedom and Menthol Ice soon but my all day vape comes from the above. Thanks to all on this forum who have made me feel welcome......
