  1. This safety debate has had many vendors halting sales on GPlat wire until they release the information.

    More from Vapinology. ....

    "G-Plat Public Announcement:

We all know that the vaping industry has been awaiting information about G-Plat wires. We have been informed by our attorney, in order to protect the formula of G-Plat wire, that we should not disclose any information until he has fully examined the situation. We are fully aware of the concerns you all have about the safety of our wire. We still stand by the fact that our wire is one of the safest wires out on the market.

We thank you, our loyal customers, for the continued support that you've given us these past few days.

    Regards,

    Mark / Melmie / G-Plat Team"

  2. Straight from Vapinology. ...

    "G-Plat Public Announcement:

As all of you are aware, there have been some concerns that have been brought to our attention in regards to the composition and safety of G-Plat wires. We have spoken to the metallurgist at the facility in which our wires are being prepared and he has given us some insight regarding the “Manganese” content of G-Plat wires. Manganese has no part in the actual composition of both our V1.2 and Elite versions of G-Plat. However, during the manufacturing process, the wire is exposed to Manganese indirectly due to other types of wires containing Manganese being produced within the same facility.

Although it may seem as if a member of the G-Plat team issued a WARNING about the use of G-Plat wires, the conversation has been misinterpreted to make it seem as if G-Plat wires are a health risk. Our team member, knowing that our wires may have been exposed to trace amounts of Manganese, was only trying to look out for the best interest of an individual that stated he was allergic to the substance. With that being said, we would like to apologize for the delay in providing the information that the vaping community has been requesting. We are currently waiting on our metallurgist to provide us with the most accurate information about the wires (i.e. although Manganese is listed on the MSDS, it is not part of the actual composition of G-Plat wire). The information will be disclosed to the vaping industry no later than tomorrow evening.

We appreciate those of you who believe in our product and continue to stand behind us as we overcome this obstacle!

    Regards,

Mark Vape, Melmie Lincod & G-Plat Team "

  3. After using and experimenting with it, I am one foot in and one foot out on GPlat. I absolutely love the 26g for the Kraken, as its the best vape I have had yet on this tank. The 24g in the dripper, not so much. I don't think I will be using the rest of the short length that I purchased, and with how long I keep my coils before tearing them out and rebuilding, the 6' of 26g will go a long way.

  4. Yeah, this is a heated discussion on the majority of the vape groups. It really sparked up when a screenshot of a conversation between GPlat and a trolling individual were conversing through PM. GPlat was being a little sarcastic, telling the person that for their own health reasons that they shouldn't use their wire, as it contains manganese, and that their health would not benefit from it. Once that screenshot was released all hell broke loose.

As with all aspects of vaping, this is up in the air. :/

  5. Rant accepted and totally understood. It's also one thing to experiment with a .08ohm build at your work station, while knowing the dangers associated, but it's completely another story when the local vape bar builds a .06ohm parallel coil on a customer's RDA when they have no knowledge of it and are basically new to mechanicals and dripping. This poor fellow happened to be my brother..... smh.

  6. I'm sorry. I was only sharing a coil build. I will edit the post though, as I understand exactly what you mean.

Personally, I think this entire "Cloud Chasing" subforum should be for the advanced builders, and we should have a pinned post with warnings and battery specs to let vapers know of the risks involved with chasing clouds.

*** Edit *** Unfortunately I am too late to edit the post. My apologies. ....

  7. IGO-W, 24g GPlat dual micros, 9 wrap @ a scary .08ohm

With a 1.5 second pulse I get a lung full of warm vapor. This is just for experimenting with the wire, as I do not recommend going this low for safety reasons.
