  1. I had a couple for about a month. They are comparable to Kanger BC and the coils are interchangeable. May be a little airier than Evod. It makes loud hist sometimes.
  2. Very nice. I started to use organic cotton for the last few rebuild. Cheap and easy to get. Roll it to any size I want to. Replacing the cotton is also easier than replacing the wick. I use 30g wire, 10 to 12 wraps for 1.9 to 2.3 ohm.
  3. Some coils have the resistance engraved on it. Vivi coils, CE coils, T2 coils and recently all Kanger bottom coils should have the resistance rating engrave. Your older coils might not have it.
  4. I tie them with rubber band then put in a small zip lock. Just to make sure the poles won't touch anything.
  5. I spent way too much on ecig over the 10 months I've been using it. Equivalent to about 3 years worth of analogs. Most of the money wasted on bad juices, bad delivery systems, and costly cigarette size battery/cartos system in the beginning. After the stuff that I bought during the holiday weekend sale, I probably won't buy any new hardware for a long time. I'm settling down on juices and the some good systems.
  6. The red one looks like the 808 thread. The white e-smart looks like the standard 510. E-smart comes in both 808 and 510 thread. If it is 510 battery and 808 clearo, you will need an adapter: http://www.ecigcharleston.com/510-Battery-to-808-901-Cartomizer-Adapter-p/510-battery.htm http://www.myvaporstore.com/510_to_KR808D_1_DSE901_p/510-808.htm
  7. It should be OK. Standard eGo USB charger output at 4.2V, 420mA. Evod charger output at 4.2V, 500mA.
  8. I heard that many times. Something about allowing the chemical reaction to complete before reversing it. Similarly, fast charge and slow (normal) charge. Fast charge may finish sooner but it may actually hold less charge.
  9. To me, they just have to meet some basic standards in order to export their products to country with higher standard/regulation. May be just for the FDA approved ingredients.
  10. My two smaller battery are the Vision Spinner 400mAh (about 3 in long) and eGo-C twist 650mAh (about 4 in long). Both of these can only go up to 4.8 V. The eGo V ( and VV2) 650mAh is about 4 3/4 in long and can go from 3V to 6V. The iTaste V3 is about 4 in long and can go up to 5V. These standard size batteries can go to 6V max. 2.8 ohm is in the high range of standard resistance.
  11. One of the dealer (Sun Vapers) told me that Kanger updated their coil heads to be compatible across their product line. Newer MT3S and T3S, PT2 supposed to have these new, improved coils. The newer coils should be backward compatible with older PT,evod, MT3, T3 (you may need a new base for T3). The new coils are much better. My first 5 have been working flawlessly for almost 2 weeks (at least 3 refills each tank). The draw seems to be the same.
  12. SID eGo connection will work with: Kanger MT3, T3, EVOD, Vision VT (2ml version), CE form factor clearomizers. Wider well provides very good air flow. My mini Vivi, IGO-W, IGO-L don't seem to flush mount. I might be able to push the pin down a little, but don't want to risk it for now. It's a cheaper APV, so don't expect anything exceptional about it. The build quality and finish is not that great. But, it works just fine. The control is OK. I get used to it in a day and I can change voltage setting without looking directly at the device (while I'm driving). The LCD is kind of difficult to read under bright light or day light. If you can spend a little bit more, buy something nicer than the SID. The Sigelei Zmax V3 seems to have a wider well, so it would work better with ego connector. There's a telescopic version. Better price than the SmokTech Zmax V2. Just my thought. The telescopic feature allows you to have a single 18350 (shorter) or stack 2 18350s or a single 18650. May be better compatibility with flat top and button top batteries (?).
  13. I will definitely get one or two, but I will have to wait until the end of the month or next month. Start the count down.
  14. I have an eGo case (was a part of my starting kit): 3 bigger batteries (all 650mAh), 4-6 tanks, some spare coils, qtips. Always with me is a 400mAh battery and 2 tanks (MT3/T3/Evod or mini vivi) in my old brass cigarette case.
  15. First, I thought I would be Ok with standard 3.7V and 2.4 ohm. However, some juices taste way better if over powered a little, while others taste better if under powered. Coils resistance also effect vape experience. Some juices are better with standard and higer, while others are better with lower resistance. Cooler vape or warmer vape. VV/VW let you pick what you want. Variable voltage: you set the voltage to power your coil base on the coils resistance. There is a chart explain the relationship between resistance, voltage and wattage. Higher voltage, more power to the coils Variable wattage: you set the wattage, your battery will figure out the voltage needed. More wattage, more power to the coils. The two are basically the same. Depending on what makes sense more to you. I'm more familiar with voltage setting because my first big battery was VV (upgraded from cig size 180mAh battery). Some APV such as the SID, Zmax, Provari,.... are usually both VV and VW. You pick the setting you want. Another advantage is probably the batteries. Longer life. You can have multiple charged batteries with you and never run out of power. You can have one in the device and a few charging. You can replace the battery in stead of the whole thing (if the control unit out last the battery life cycle). By the way, I just ordered the SID (plus batteries and charger) from MVS. I should get it tomorrow. Edit: between the eVic and the Zmax, I would probably take the eVic (ring control, USB rechargeable, and PT?). eVic is just VV, I think. The control should be simplier. I will aslo suggest that you look at the device that can be used with your existing/future favorite delivery systems.
  16. These are the popular eGo types: Non VV batteries: usually have 5 click on/off function (may vary from 3 to 5 clicks). Early VV: use 3-5 click to change voltage. Most can not be turned off. With the "click" and "hold" already been used, there's no option left. Twist/Spinner/KGO: also use 5 click on/off. Use dial or a different set of buttons for voltage setting. There are a few odd designs fall in between. If you are holding down the button for a while and your battery turn off. That's most likely the cut off function. Usually holding down the power button for 10 to 15 seconds. I wish that I knew this much when I started.
  17. 6 mg or less and between 2 to 5 ml a day. I smoked for 25+ years but have never been a heavy smoker (less than a pack/day mostly).
  18. Was it a one day deal? Or do I need a coupon code? It's all regular price now. Only the trio discount applied for me. I won't need to restock JC juices for a few more weeks, but don't want to pass up a good discount like this.
  19. Of course, it won't fit your KPT. I want it to go all the way down and fit onto the tube. Anyway, your soft ear plug suggestion is much easier. Any place that operates heavy machinery should have plenty.
  20. Roll up a piece of paper towel that fit tight into the mouth piece and a little bit longer. Keep the dust out and soak up any condensation. A longer carto condom like the one that usually come with replacement coil heads (Vivi, CE, T2,...). These should be long enough to cover the mouth piece and fit tight onto the tube.
  21. I got the base for my T3s, but the set of Evod heads that I have won't fit into the base. The metal disk (seperate the thread and the wick) on the evod head is larger than the hole on the T3 base. The disk will stay on top of the base in stead of going inside the rim. So, the base won't screw all the way in and the top of the head don't make contact with the center air tube.
  22. Look like the 808 (thread outside) on top and the ego down below. So, may be able to use it with ego like CE, Kanger T2/3, evod, KPT,... but not 510 (Vivi). Note that the Triton Tank looks exactly like the Kanger T3.
  23. 4 extra flavor shots? I thought the flavor is already too strong. I had to dilute it a bit. I like my 555 with light tobacco and very light peanut flavor. Anything that close to the smell of a fresh, unlit 555. I got Almond Delight as a freebie. I like it a lot, but could not find it on the flavor listing. I got most of the fruit flavors at MBV. MBV offers dragon fruit, jackfruit, star fruit, papaya, guava, but no lychee?. I'm still looking for a place that offers longan, mangosteen, any of the soursop/sweetsop family like custart apple, corossolier or cherimoyas.
  24. All of my T3s, MT3s and EVODs flood and leak (both through the tip and down the center post). I haven't found a solution that really fix the problem. But, when they work, they are better than Vivi Nova in term of flavor and vapor production (TH too, but I don't care much about it now). In general, I haven't had any bottom coil system that doesn't flood and leak. So, I put the KPT on hold and bought another Artemas DCT in stead.
