  1. No, I don't have a Kanger, those pics were posted by another poster. I thought they looked like mine so I re-posted them to show you the gaskets, which I believe 'are' the same as mine. I have the EVOD bottom feeder tanks (which you recommended BTW). Now, are the drip tips on the EVOD's removable?

My bad. Hmm...I don't personally have an EVOD, as I prefer the CE4/CE5, but I'm looking at a pic of one and I can't really tell. Honestly, it doesn't look like the drip tip can be removed on it, which is a shame but I can understand why. I have a friend that has a few of these, actually. I'll ask him and get back to you, since I'm really unsure.

  2. For mah, get the most you can get with the kit. Most kits I've seen top out around 900mah and that's a pretty good battery. My 900mah will last through 3 1.6ml CE4 clearomizers which is usually enough to get me through most of the day. For variable voltage, I wouldn't recommend anything less than 1100mah or more. My 1100mah at 4.2v will only last through 2 of CE4 clearomizers before needing a charge, so bigger is definitely better when you are going with a VV battery.

  3. Thanks Synth, but it's not the drip tip gasket I lost, it's the one on the coil as pictured.

So I think I'll just order one of these with my next order.

I'll have a spare coil, and hopefully the gasket will last through the use of two coils.

And BTW, thanks for pointing out the 'drip tip'......I wasn't sure if they were removable or not, and didn't want to force it.

Ah! Gotcha. Yeah, the Kanger T3 is a pretty good one. I've heard exceptionally good things about the Kanger PRO as well (plus it has a pyrex tank) but you can't change the drip tip on it.

  4. Excellent suggestions, Synth, I was hoping you'd chime in, as I believe your familiar with my spinner set up. None of my multitudes of plumbing gaskets were that small, but somehow I saw a tiny black rubber gasket on the counter in the bath, probably remnants from my pockets, as that is one of the places my wife dumps my pocket booty when she's gonna wash my work shorts.

Anyway, I have no idea where it came from, and it was actually a 'cup' style washer which actually better than a flat gasket. The hole was a bit small, but the OD was near perfect. So it's on my backup, and will see if it holds up until I get the real thing. I guess if it lasts as long as the coil, I'm fine. Lesson learned about paying attention to those o-rings.

Glad to hear you were able to get something up and going! Another way around it would be to just purchase a replacement CE4/CE5 drip tip, which should include the O-ring gasket with it. $3.00 and you should be good to go.

  5. If you lost and O-Ring gasket, there's a few places you might try. Home Depot has a pretty good selection of gaskets. Aside from that, you might try your local dentists office of all places. They have a good selection of really small nylon rings/gaskets or try a pet store that has kits for aquariums.

  6. Welcome to Vaping and to the forums! If your boyfriend wants to get into vaping with you, you might want to check out the sale that AquaVapor has through 11:59pm eastern time July 4th. He can get an eGo CE4 express kit for about $16 by using the coupon code "bang" at checkout!

  7. Nothing unfortunate about "store-brand" e-cigs....especially in a podunk little place like Hermiston. What starts as over the counter disposables eventually turns into mods and rebuildables. Ultimately, keeping people off traditional tobacco cigarettes is the result we want to see.

Here in Oregon, I've noticed a huge increase in e-cig use and acceptance in the last three months. We even got our first vapor lounge!!! Six months ago, when I started Vaping, the presence wasn't near what it is today. Hopefully, it will increase in the next year to where we will get our Vapor Con NW!!!

Really? We got a Vapor Lounge? Where is that located at!? I'm in Gresham...

  8. Okay, I'm looking at this kit:

    http://www.aquavaporcig.com/eGo-Spinner-Variable-Voltage-Electronic-Cigarette-Kit_p_131.html

Then I see the 'options' menu, and I start feeling my head spin again. Can anyone suggest which 'tank'. And btw, what is a 'tank'?

Also, is the 'regular' eliquid a standard analog flavor?

That's a great kit! The tank is what holds the liquid. I would recommend the 2 EVOD Bottom Feeder tanks, personally. I'd also recommend considering the eGo case and lanyard...inexpensive and very useful items. The "regular" liquid is supposed to be like a regular full flavor tobacco. It's not too bad, actually. However, for a tobacco flavor I prefer either the Desert Blend (supposed to be like a Camel cigarette) or the Virginia (similar to a Winston cigarette).

  9. Then why the serious lack of vape meets over this way?? Why can't the West Coast have events like the VapeBash and Vapor Con events on the East Coast???

That's a good question. It seems that eCigs are all over the place up here, though. Amazingly enough, I found that they've taken over in the Hermiston and Tri-Cities area. We were in the Walmart in Hermiston and they literally have an entire check stand setup with nothing but eCigs. Unfortunately, they were all the "over the counter" brands, but I was impressed that a small "farming" type community would embrace them so readily.

  10. "..atomizer with carts, cartomizers, manual or automatic battery, even a drip shield..". I'm sure I will learn it all with time, but right now that line makes my head spin. :dizzy:

A 3-piece eCig, such as the DSE901 or Joyetech 510 will come with your battery, atomizer, and cartridge. The cartridge contains polyfill to hold the liquid that you fill into it, then fits onto the atomizer which then screws onto the battery.

2-piece eCigs use a battery and a cartomizer. A cartomizer generally looks like the filter end of an analog cigarette. Cartomizers contain the polyfill and the coil setup from an atomizer all in one unit. Cartomizers generally hold more liquid than a standard cartridge. Many 3-piece eCigs can be converted to 2-piece units with after market cartomizers. There are some people that prefer cartomizers for ease of use and longevity while others say that the flavor is better with a standard cartridge. It is all about personal preference.

A drip shield is metal tube with two air holes at the top of it. The shield slides over a DSE901 atomizer, and can be used on some 510 atomizers, with the drip shield air holes at the top and the atomizer carb hole at the bottom. It seals the atomizer off and prevents any leaking from the atomizer carb. A side benefit is that it also somewhat acts as a heatsink.

    :)

  11. eGo is not a thread type, it is a brand type. eGo batteries use the 510 thread type, so your options for tanks, atomizers, cartomizers, and parts are nearly limitless.

I agree with Love2Vape. AquaVapor is an excellent vendor and I buy all my supplies from them. Don't forget to type "switch" in the coupon code field at check out to get 10% off your total order.

  12. A couple of Spinner batts (I perfer 1300mah) a charger, a couple of Vivi Novas and some juice. Simple easy to use, welcome to the wonderful world of vaping

My next purchase will be a VV SmokeTek Winder battery. :) As well as a CE4/CE5 drip tip adapter and a cowboy skull metal drip tip. :P

  13. Interesting. Yes, I had rolled my own for a few years. Originally started thinking it would slow me down......it didn't.

Yeah, it didn't slow me down at all. But it was WAY cheaper. Instead of spending $55 to $60 per carton, I was only spending $12.50. Vaping is even cheaper for me and I like it better.

The NJoy, Blu, Fin brands are all over up here. Every gas station, truck stop, and convenience store is carrying them (along with GreenSmoke and a few others). It's nice because you can easily get cartomizers for them if you are out of juice, but I wouldn't have been able to quit analogs completely if it wasn't for my AquaVapor PRO DSE901 PCC kit. The vapor production on that kit is light years ahead of the "over the counter" brands, easy to refill the cartridges, lots of options (atomizer with carts, cartomizers, manual or automatic battery, even a drip shield), it's just a far superior kit. And about $20 cheaper than the others, on top of it.

  14. I smoked Four Aces Mint tobacco and rolled my own for about a pack a day. I've found that AquaVapor's "Say-Yum-Menthol" tastes pretty close to a fresh bag of tobacco and brand new box of menthol tubes. Haven't found a regular tobacco that I'm really fond of yet, but Northwest Vapor's "True Tobacco" is pretty good, especially if you mix it with their Raspberry "smooth" flavor.

  15. I've only run into one "non-vaping" establishment. There was a computer gaming LAN at Red Lion at the Quay in Vancouver, WA. The guy that organizes the LAN called ahead and asked the management if vaping was allowed, since there are so many of us in the gaming communities that have switched to vaping. The answer was that they don't want it inside. However, I feel that they made this judgment without understanding what vaping is. I really don't think they realized that it isn't smoking. But that is the only time I've ever been told that I have to go outside to vape. Here in the Portland metro area, eCigs are so common place now that nobody seems to even say anything. And if they do, it's never negative.

  16. I pretty much vape everywhere. At my computer, working, grocery shopping (Hey, if you're going to bring all ten of your annoying, misbehaving, screaming kids with you, I'm going to vape), in the strip club, at night clubs, at computer gaming LANs...you name it. I'm like Thomas the Tank Engine.

  17. I started on this kit and was literally off analog cigarettes in three days. That was last Feb. and I haven't looked back. It satisfied not only the smoking urge but felt like a cigarette in my hand.

    http://www.aquavaporcig.com/PRO-DSE901-Electronic-Cigarette-with-PCC-Bundle_p_146.html

Just this week, I decided to upgrade to an EGO battery and the vapor is much much more satisfying. However, it doesn't really feel like a cigarette in my hand and I don't know that it would have worked for me as well when I started.

    http://www.aquavaporcig.com/eGo-eCig-Mini-Kit.html

Both of those kits are well under $100. I generally buy a 100ml liquid sample pack in 10 different flavors about ever 6 to 8 weeks. When I smoked, I rolled my own and figured it out to be about $0.68 per pack. With vaping I have figured it to be even cheaper at about $0.33 to $0.45 per pack (depending on my vaping habits).
