  1. Yes, you are right about the taste difference.

I started my vaping, today, with one of the sample bottles. That USA Tobacco sample bottle was 18mg nicotine. The larger bottle, of the same flavor (purchased separately from the kit), contained 24mg of nic. I had, initially, assumed that they were both the strength. After this first filling is through, I will start on the larger bottle. Starting at the strongest, and working myself down, is (I feel) the way to go to wean myself off of nicotine completely.

That is definitely the way to go! The after taste could just be from whatever particular brand of liquid you are using. I generally use AquaVaporcig.com Premium or AquaVMax liquids (Cocoa Mint is awesome!), NW Vapors liquids (the Gummy Peach is absolutely to die for and their True Tobacco is really good too), NicStation (their Coffee and Whiskey flavors are great!), or VapeDudes (Banana Tobacco and Apple are great!) liquids as my normal brands. I tried BOLD eLiquid in a menthol, since I was a menthol smoker and still like the minty tobacco hit, but noted that it had a pepper-like hit on the exhale. As if you had literally inhaled black pepper into your lungs. Definitely not something I liked. Similarly, I tried a Strawberry Cheescake from High Calibre and it left a burnt graham cracker after taste in the mouth. So, that aftertaste could just be the eJuice brand.

  2. I'm feeling almost 100% better stomach wise but I have a pretty bad headache now :(. I haven't vaped since 12,its 5 now. I probably won't vape much for the rest of today and I'm going to take it really slow tomorrow.

What strength is your eJuice? I would recommend sticking with it for about five days and if the headaches/nausea doesn't subside, drop down a level on the strength. If you are at 24mg, try going to 16mg, for instance.

  3. I used cartomizers and never cared for them. The vapor didn't taste as well as the cartridge and atomizer system and they were kind of a pain in the butt to fill. That said, I much prefer tanks over cartidges or cartomizers. The new Innokin iClear dual coil clearomizer will work with your eGo battery, as well as any CE4 or CE5 tanks. You have a ton of options available to you!

  4. I wouldn't be that concerned about vaping around anyone, kids included. Unless you live on a space station with canned air, there are much more damaging pollutants in the air than what you exhale while vaping (much worse, in fact, than even second hand smoke from analogs). I knew a girl (vegan.../facepalm) that would go into fits of rage because someone would be smoking in their car while she was waiting in a drive-thru. I told her, "you have your window down and there are two cars in front of you, with another three cars behind you. All those cars, including yours, are spewing out deadly toxins as you sit here with your window down waiting in a McDonalds drive-thru to order a fast food salad that you have deemed healthy. And you want to complain about the guy in the car ahead of you sitting by himself smoking in the car with his window down. ReAlLy?"

  5. You can see inside the top part where it is silver and that is where it came from I believe. It looks like it is something to keep it sealed and the part that fell off is that white thing blocking me from refilling it.

It looks like the white part that holds the wick in place. I've never seen a CE4 do that though. You might try using a bent out paperclip to push it back down into place.

  6. Okay, after looking at it again it came from inside the clearo. Like the top of it so that the drip tip slides in smoothly. How should I go about getting it out and should I bother trying to put it back in?

I'm not sure that I'm understanding what you're describing. Can you take a picture and post it?

  7. I checked my self into the Emergency Room today. While I was there I asked the attending doctor on his thoughts about e cigarettes. To my surprise he said it its much better than analogs, does not show to cause any cancer but the best thing its to not smoke at all. Congratulated me on giving up analogs and asked how long I have vaped.

I had the exact same experience this week when I had to go to the doctor for back problems. All three doctors I talked to congratulated me on quitting analogs and said that eCigs were much better for you.

  8. eJuice is made with Polyglycol (PG) and/or vegatable glycerin (VG). PG carries the flavor additive better and provides a better throat hit while VG gives off better vapor. Most juices will have at least a 60/40 PG/VG ratio while most of the better brands have 70/30. I prefer 50/50 but only from brands that I know carry a ton of flavor.

As for something that will give you a lot of vapor production, I'd recommend starting with an eGo kit and some CE4 clearomizers. You'll get good vapor production, excellent flavor, and it's a good intro to eCigs without breaking the bank.

  9. The truly unfortunate thing is that in the current society we live in, vaping and educating the public will do nothing to curb bans or limitations. The people that are voted into power tend to go completely against what their constituants want and will create these bans and limitations in some inane effort to protect us from ourselves. But it is nice to have a more educated general public and to get less bizarre stares and questions. Generally, in the Portland area, people are fairly used to eCigs since you can buy them just about everywhere.

  10. I've never experienced tongue bite from vaping. However, when my fiancee and I first started, we had some extremely low quality cartomizers from China that caused us some problems. Mostly an achy/sore throat and tonsils. The issue was more pronounced with her. I later found out that the less reputable eLiquid manufacturers in China will add a chemical called Diacetyl. Diacetyl is an irritant that increases the throat hit of the juice but can cause a sore tonge and throat. I've not run into any U.S. manufacturers that add Diacetyl to their juice.

  11. Thanks for the feedback and advice. I'm going crazy waiting for this thing. I'm hoping it ships tomorrow so I will have it by the weekend.

That's how I feel every time I order something new. My buddy was about ready to claw off his own skin waiting two days for his to get here. I'm glad I'm not alone. :P

  12. Either of those are nice kits, honestly. I think the problem is likely the juice. However, I have run into a burning feeling using any cartridge with polyfill or a cartomizer that is getting a bit too old. Personally, for a pen style, I'd have recommended the Joyetech 510. Beautiful kit, very reliable, and options to go with tanks. Plus, when/if you are ready to upgrade to an eGo style battery, all your stuff will work with it as well.

  13. I had no real issues getting off analogs. I was a pack a day smoker for over 25 years. I was down to 3 cigarettes on the day that I bought my first kit, 1 cigarette the next day, and on the third day I forced myself to only vape. Quite simply...it just takes willpower and to stick with the eCig. My fiancee has had a tougher time going analog free, but is slowly getting there and admits that she just hasn't forced herself to do it yet. I can tell you this...a counselor is not going to give you the willpower it is going to take. You have to want it and you are going to have to fight with it. Regardless of what they tell you, they're not going to be able to help with that. Good luck to you!

  14. More like the Dork Side, LOL!!! Considering the thousands of products being peddled by hundreds of vendors, and the myriad of tips, tricks, and techniques out there, the sheer amount of information to be absorbed can only lead to one conclusion:

What starts as an alternative therapy to quitting smoking inevitably becomes a full-time hobby.

Welcome to VaporTalk, and your new life!! Once free from tobacco, I am sure that you, too, will find that smoking cigarettes was never this much fun!!!

I never looked at it as "quitting smoking." If I had told myself I was quitting, I never truly would have. Instead I told myself, "I'm doing this now rather than smoking," and I made the firm decision to just funnel the money I would be using to smoke into vaping. I still enjoy vaping at the same exact moments that I would enjoy a cigarette, plus a few additional times/places, and I kind of look at it just like I did when I went from buying packs to rolling my own. Nobody likes a quitter. :P

  15. I just convinced my good friend to switch over to analogs. He ordered his eGo 900mah kit from AquaVaporCig.com and it got there in about 3 days (from east coast to west coast). Which is about normal...I order a 100ml sample pack from them about every 8 weeks or so.

He's new to the whole eCig revolution and relying on me for information. So, I told him to check out the following videos:

  16. I've dripped on my DSE901, but the concept is virtually identical for an eGo style battery. My plan is to go with the following for my drip setup with my eGo kits.

    I'll get a 510 atomizer...

I'll get a drip tip...(this one is my personal fav, but there are many others)

And I might get the eGo cone, just because I like completion...

Drip in a couple of drops and enjoy!
