  1. I'll have to admit I've broken most of these commandments. Some I never plan to keep. I just don't think I would like vaping waffle... of course I didn't think I'd like banana either....
  2. Schizophretard, I posted a long thread about it on ECF a while back and touched on it here, but I believe the ritual has a lot to do with it. I don't know how long you smoked, but it becomes a part of you. It has actually been such a huge part of my life that I based a lot more of my decisions than I realized around it. I'm non sociable by nature outside of forums, but that was made worse due to the fact that you are unable to smoke in most social settings these days. Smoking is something that has always been there. Good times, bad times, sad times, happy times, fun times, boring times. Since I was 14 years old smoking has been more a part of my life, and more consistent than anything else outside of family. Since most of my family smokes as well, I guess it was even a part of that. The point is, it gets to where I wouldn't even call it so much a part of you, so much as it identifies you. It is you. You are a smoker. You have been labeled with that term and lived up to it. I think for me, what, for the lack of a better word, scared me so much, was the fact that something that was so large a part of my life, that most parts of my life were actually based around it, can be so easily replaced. I enjoyed smoking so much that it was really the one thing I always swore would never change. Many people I know simply wouldn't believe me if I told them I even smoked less than a pack a week unless they saw it, because most people would comment about never seeing me without a cigarette. I'm down to my last pack out of the cartons that I had, but still have about 6 (emergency) packs in my main truck, and some RYO stuff here in the house. Anyway, I guess I've gotten off topic, but my main point is at least some of whats missing is that ritual, because that ritual is smoking, and we are, for better or worse, smokers. Even if I quit completely and go 20 years without a cigarette, I believe I will self identify as a smoker, because thats who I am, inside, if nothing else, and I love that, because most of the best people I know are smokers. Maybe I'm prejudice, but I view us as a higher class of citizen.
  3. Schizophretard, I'm also one of those people that vape a lot, and although I can tell I'm getting plenty of nic, I don't feel satisfied. As I said, the other alkaloids and MAOI's in cigarettes play a big part in this. It's getting much easier for me, and the nic alone will keep me from smoking (mostly), but we either have to decide to break the dependence on the OTHER chemicals, or continue them whether through still smoking, or other means such as snus. There are quite a few people that have great success with the combination of e-cigs for the hand to mouth fixation and nic, and Swedish Snus for the missing alkaloids. Increasing your nic further does seem to somewhat help, but there will still be "something missing". You will get "nic sick" before being completely satisfied. I have found 1-2 cigarettes a day, still a major improvement over 2.5-3 packs per day, goes a long ways in helping me cope with the other cravings. At this point, some days (maybe stress?) I still smoke 2 cigs, and sometimes I will only have one cig in 3 days time. I do know that that "missing" feeling is getting better, and easier to cope with.
  4. Great, thanks. Now I'm gonna have to try that sometime just for the reaction. You'd be amazed at how many people would probably give you a strange look, then hand you their fork simply to avoid confrontation. LOL
  5. LOL already bought 6 people e-cig start kits, complete with PCC's and 50ml of juice and yes, it gets very expensive. Although you don't want to rip anyone off, there's also no reason you can't make a little money off them (I haven't yet, since 5 of those people I've purchased for were family, and wouldn't take any money from them). You can get the $35 510 starter kits from cignot, charge 50 for them (still a good deal from most out there), and make 15 bucks for your trouble
  6. If you smoked full flavors, 2 packs per day would be about equal to my 2.5 packs of lights, so @ 24mg you would need to vape over 4ml of juice per day, or 2.5-3ml per day of 36mg. If you smoked lights, a little over 3ml per day of 24 should do fine, or a little over 2ml of 36mg. It is also worth nothing that nicotine is not the only addictive substance in the cigarettes we smoked. It's simply the MAIN one. There are other MAOI's in tobacco, and some people seem to develop a strong addiction to them as well, while others don't seem to miss them at all, with yet other people inbetween those 2 types. It is very possible for some people to get the nic they need and still have cravings. *Edit* This is using my numbers, factored on a 40% efficiency vs the 30% jmhester has figured. Obviously my numbers will show you need to vape less than what jmhester's numbers will show. I only added my 40% figures here because from real world data, it seems to be very in line with what people actually vape compared to what they smoked. There will be many variables of course, different e-cigs are going to vary the efficiency, the amount of nic you get per pack of cigarettes will vary depending on how you smoked it, etc.
  7. Totally wicked is based in the UK I believe, as evidenced by the .uk in their url. Their contact on their website also says UK.
  8. Based on what I have seen and observed, someone that vapes 2ml of 36mg juice, probably actually smoked closer to 1.5 packs per day. It's very possible your numbers are really really close, because someone that smoked 1.5 packs per day could probably easily get by with 1 packs worth of nicotine. Most people seem to vape approximately 2.5x the nic that they used to get from smoking. For instance. You vape 2ml of 18mg liquid per day = 36mg of nic. 36/2.5= 14.4. So it's likely that someone who vapes 2ml of 18mg smoked somewhere in the area of 3/4 a pack per day. A one pack per day smoker using 24mg liquid probably vapes about 2ml per day, figuring on 1mg per cigarette. If you figure it closer to the actual nic in a light cigarette @ .8 per so per cig, a 1 pack per day smoker of light cigs will probably vape roughly 1.5 (1.6 technically) ml of 24mg per day. I could be wrong on all this, but I and many others seem to fall pretty close in line with the 2.5x figure. If nothing else, the figure is useful for helping someone just starting to vape find their level. If our bodies are indeed taking in the same nic that we did smoking, the 2.5x figure would tell us that the efficiency of vaping is roughly 40% that of smoking, which is actually pretty good IMHO. *Edited to show my own experience* I smoked 2.5 packs of lights per day. Figuring at .8 mg nic per cig, I got about 40mg of nic per day. 40x2.5 is 100. 100/36 (I vape 36mg) is 2.77. That falls really close in line with the 3ml of 36mg I smoke per day. Falling back to my argument a while back about the need for 36mg nicotine vs 24 being the highest, if I were limited to 24mg, by these figures, I would need to vape over 4ml of liquid per day. I wouldn't be able to set the pv down at that rate!
  9. They said they ordered from healthcabin.net, which I believe is in China. I know Jeff from wordup said he could get an order to them, so I'm assuming if Nemesis really wanted to vape they could find a supplier to get them the goods?
  10. I have never done business with vaprlife, but I think the point is the fact that you have absolutely no proof. I get the feeling that if you did indeed have a tracking number and could show that it was sent, they would take care of you, knowing that although they haven't received the item, you did in fact send it, which puts the blame on the post office and would simply become a cost of doing business through the post office. You shouldn't throw away your tracking numbers because you trust the people you send it to, you should keep them because sometimes the post office messes up. What I'm going to assume happened is this. You sent the item back, the post office messed up. Either it's simply in limbo somewhere or it was delivered the wrong address. Right now everything is at a stand still because although you know you sent it back, they know they haven't received it. You can blame them for not keeping good records all you want, but there is no possible way that you KNOW they received it. I don't think a small business such as them would alienate potential future customers just to keep from fixing a broken item. It just wouldn't make sense. Personally, I feel that I'm about the most trust worthy guy on the planet. I'm simply honest to a fault. With that said, I don't trust anybody, so I recognize that although people wouldn't go wrong trusting me, they have no reason to, and I don't expect them to. If I do a lot of business at one place for a lengthy amount of time, then yes, I would feel that some trust should be earned, but in your case, I see no reason trust should be involved on either side. You shouldn't trust them and they shouldn't trust you. The post office is pretty good at delivering quickly and efficiently throughout most of the year. You hear of lost/stolen items all the time throughout the holidays however. It's possible that they will never receive the item you sent, and it's possible they may still receive it tomorrow, or in 2 months. The point is that right now, neither side is happy and I think things will stay that way unless something changes. I'm sure if you could come up with proof the item was sent, or if they happened to receive it finally and it was postmarked for when you claimed you sent it, they would probably issue a very big sincere apology and try to make things right the best they can. Just remember, just because you know you are right, doesn't automatically mean they are wrong. When dealing with 3rd party places such as the post office, especially during this time of year, there are just to many variables involved. It sucks for you and it sucks for them, but it is what it is, and in the end you are forgetting that if you had kept your shipping receipt, this would all be a non issue.
  11. I guess I can't honestly say with 100% certainty that I am allergic to it. When using PG my throat would get super sore, almost to the point I couldn't swallow, my mouth would get sore, mainly the roof of my mouth and and my gums just behind my lower teeth. When I say the roof of my mouth was sore, I mean I could look in a mirror and it was really red. If I laid off the PG, it would start to get better. Start the PG again and it would get worse. I was also really run down and super tired, not sure if that was the PG or not, but I'm not as bad now after switching to VG and nothing sore about me! If you think the PG is upsetting your stomach, it would be pretty easy to check. Go to wordup or somewhere that sells VG juice and get a small bottle to vape for a few days.
  12. I honestly have no idea of why it would happen unless the PG is more of an irritant to our throats than cig smoke is, which I believe it is as evidenced by our need to drink a lot more water with vaping vs smoking. I've read about people saying this same thing happened to them on ECF, so it's not just you. Although I have absolutely nothing to back this up, and it's just a guess on my part, but since I believe the reaction is due to irritation of an already sore throat, I'm wondering if using something like chloraseptic will help to numb your throat to where you can vape. Of course if so, you then run into the problem of possibly making your throat irritated more than it already is. You might try some VG if you have some handy, although I still have to drink water with it, it seems to be much less irritating to me than PG was, of course I found out the hard way that I'm allergic to PG, so that could also be why it irritated me as bad. At any rate, sucks that you can't vape man. Get some tamiflu and plenty of rest and fluids!
  13. The nominations were taken on a thread at ECF, which means that everything on it is ECF related. Most of the people there seem to go there and only there, so if you aren't active there, you're out of luck. On a side note, maybe I have a different view of what service is. I don't have anything against moobyghost, although some of his reviews seem to be a little biased to me, but reviews in exchange for free products is not what I'd really call a service.
  14. Okay I decided to make a banner. I'm cheating a little bit since I haven't been completely smoke free, but since I haven't had to actually purchase any tobacco since I started spending money on vaping, I put my vaping start time as my smoking quit time. Since I've spent over $1300 on vaping, I have a long way to go....
  15. Sorry, it's just after reading the post I thought I could have a little fun with ya. Trust me, by making posts like that I leave myself wide open to comments about my spelling/grammar, and I make plenty of mistakes. Luckily I'm thick skinned and can take whatever these guys can dish out!
  16. My 901 cart caps will not fit on my 510 batts. The rubber piece is too small and the black outer part is too big. I guess I have different cart caps.
  17. In my mind there are two war on terrors, the original one, which we all supported and still do, and the one that is played to the public eye in the interest of furthering political goals. The second one isn't a war on terror, it's simply labeled that because they recognized that Americans will rally behind our leaders in the fight against terrorism. They need the ability to wire tap people without a warrant to fight terrorism. They try to use it to position lists of "potential terrorist" based on who knows what grounds, and they want to use this list to take away the rights of any American that they put on this list to own a firearm. They can put you or I on this list at any point just because they want to. Keenan, you said you were a vet, so you may already be on one of their lists, since according to the Obama Administration vets are a security risk to this once great country. If people really want to know who is actually pulling the strings of the Obama puppet, and even the Bush, Clinton, Reagan puppets that came before, Google bilderberg group and do some reading. A group that tries to remain obscure, holding secret meetings with the worlds powerful and elite is enough to make me wonder. There are times I start digging around looking for the truth, knowing I'm not going to find it, as these people are good at keeping things hidden, but then I wonder, do I really want to know, or is ignorance truly bliss?
  18. Wow, I guess I should have gotten into this topic earlier. The video of the same name was created by Fox News and aired last year I believe. It can be found on youtube in it's entirety. It's almost 2 hours long, but worth watching. I will also agree with speak about the war on terror being a hoax. Now let me clarify, I don't mean our presence in Iraq or anything of that nature. I don't even mean the war its self. I mean that the "war on terror" is being used to implement policy that has nothing to do with the actual war on terror and it's being used to take away our rights. Make no mistake about it, our country, and most of the countries in the world, are run by bankers behind the scenes. To their credit, man are they sharp. They dupe the Government into giving them money, then they turn around and LOAN OUR money back to us, with interest of course, and those in Washington fell for it, hook line and sinker.
  19. I was actually very impressed with the vapor on my KR808D-1 that I got from Vapor Kings. It was actually almost comparable to my 510, and with 36mg cartomizers I honestly seemed to get more throat hit than I do with my 510. Honestly if I didn't already have tons and tons of 510 stuff, I could honestly see myself using it full time. I mean, I like the 510 better overall, but thats because I don't mind dealing with the hassle. I'm unemployed and it gives me something to do I guess.. The batteries in mine are automatic and work well as far as automatics go, but you do have to take a primer puff and a long drag to get good vapor. I guess thinking about it I shouldn't say vapor is comparable to my 510, because the KR takes a longer drag to get the same amount of vapor. I don't know how the switches work on them, but I can't get mine to turn on unless I'm smoking it. I've tried blowing into it to simulate wind, noise, kind of banging it around, it just doesn't turn on unless you want it to, but because of the primer puff and long drag, if you think your wife wouldn't mind a manual, they are always the better way to go IMO.
  20. I guess I wasn't really clear in my post. By "I thought I killed one" I didn't mean that the atty didn't produce, it just started giving me the burnt taste for some reason. I figured if I was going to throw it away anyway, I wouldn't hurt anything by boiling/baking it. That was 3 weeks ago and I'm still using that atty now. (Okay, so actually the only atty I've been using is the one on my spade, but before it got here I still used that atty). If an atomizer quits producing vapor, I'll probably toss it, but if it's going to be tossed I might play with cleaning one then. It's not like you can hurt something you are planning on throwing away.
  21. I've been using both. For me it's a wash. With the ADM you have to get your filler amount right, with PTB you have to get the dang thing cut up and rolled (unless you get the premade from cignot). I seem to get better flavor with the PTB vs the Poly with ADM, but a cart will last me longer with ADM than PTB. All in all I'll probably continue using the tea bags, as so far it seems to wick okay, washes easily and cart life is still better than dripping. Flavor comes through the nylon type material really well, and I don't need to carry a syringe to refill with (I never messed with taking the poly out) so being able to simply drip into the cart to refill is nice.
  22. Well since we are talking about cleaning atty's now, and I have had great luck with mine, I'll throw in my cleaning method. I... well... I do nothing. I'll blow one out if I flood it and occasionally dry burn one, but thats about it. I've had one die on me because a battery decided to stay on after using it, one DOA that gave massive throat hit but no vapor at all, noticed the wicking sticking out all over the place and pulled it out with tweezers, which from what I read is hit or miss, and I thought I killed one by cleaning it, but brought it back to life by boiling it in water then sticking it in the oven and baking it. From what I have noticed from people that post their experiences, those that clean their atty's tend to go through more than those that don't. Oh, and I mix flavors on mine. I would dedicate one per flavor, but I can't even keep carts straight so I'd mix em up. Some flavors take a while (a day for coffee) to get out of the atty but hey, I'm still getting nic!
  23. It's funny that I clicked over here and read this right at the exact time I'm reading people saying this very thing on ECF. A better atomizer on 3.7 volts could do a better job then the current atomizers at 6 volts. Eventually what will happen, assuming Vaping is here to stay, and I don't see any way that it's not, even if the FDA tried to nix it, is that better atomizers will provide a better vaping experience at lower volts. We will get better delivery of nicotine along with longer lasting batteries. The more Vaping catches on the more it will be improved upon. One of these days.. we will have vaping nirvana. Until then, I guess we simply do what we can to get by. It's kinda funny really. Right now according to ex smokers we are cheating and getting off easy, instead of quitting cold turkey. One of these days, we will be viewed as the ones that "struggled" to quit. Lol. I personally have nothing against tobacco companies, as they simply provided a product that I wanted, and even improved them (the additives they put in are for a reason, preservatives, quick nic hit, etc, all the things I expected from cigs), but I actually see a day, probably no time soon, but some day that smokers will not be ostracized, because there won't be any!
  24. Chris, I know the 10% was a number thrown around a while back on ECF, but AFAIK, it is showing to be incorrect. Current estimations that I read put the figure at around 30-40%. PG and VG both bind to the nicotine, which means that much more nic will be exhaled with the vapor than cigarette smoke, since the smoke doesn't bind its self to the nicotine in the same way. VG is worse about this, and it shows for me, considering I'm now on VG and find myself vaping more. That would also explain why when I posted last night I thought there was a bigger difference between the 36mg I was vaping (PG) and the 30mg ecopure I was vaping last night. The nicotine difference is probably right, yet I'm exhaling even more than I was with PG, and therefore need to vape more to make up that difference. I'm now holding the vapor in longer, therefore exhaling less vapor, and it seems to make a difference. Granted I'm smoking 36mg I got from Wordup now, but I haven't needed a smoke today. If you were to look into the research of smokers self-titrating, you would find that we do a remarkable job of maintaining the levels of nicotine we are accustomed to. We will vape more when we are getting less nicotine, and vape less when we are getting more.
  25. Geeze, what is it these days with women using Food as Weapons
