  1. Yeah this is one time I hate being right. I know I've been one of the more pessimistic people here on VT when it comes to the "vapocaplypse", but I've always based my stance on the fact that big business wins 99% of the time. The tobacco industry isn't about to let some new trend as they see it disrupt sales, not even a little bit. That being said, keeping fighting it people, let your legislators know how you feel.

  2. I started a home garden this year very much for that reason. Can't raise any chickens or anything for protein (not that I could slaughter my own food even if I could have them in my neighborhood, I'm a softy like that) but I've contemplated a Tilapia tank along with some aquaponic gardening. So far starting out with Tomatoes, Peppers, Garlic, Onions, etc., you know the easy stuff. Have a couple Rasberry bushes started and planted a couple Satsuma (Mandarin Orange) trees in the back yard as well. I'm definitely no where close to being able to be self sufficient, but over the next 5 or so years I'd like to see just how close I can get. Support local food sources as much as possible people, not only do you get fresher, better tasting food but you help the environment by not requiring it to be trucked / flown in burning fossil fuels and such.

  3. Best customer service in the business. I've ordered from the VT store multiple times and shipping has always been fast, and the order confirmation system is excellent. Also it was the VT Grape Soda that made me realize just how good e-juice can be. Before I tried the Grape Soda I just thought as long as it didn't taste bad it was okay, I expect a lot more from my e-juice now to say the least. I just ordered some Sweet Dawn and can't wait to give it a spin.

  4. Hey all, so I've had my Silver Indulgence for over a month now and while it works just fine the silver finish is really starting to get messed up. At first it was just appearing to tarnish quickly so I used a silverware polishing cloth and it appears to be removing the finish. Has anyone else experienced this or was it possibly the product I used to clean it? Here is a link to the polishing cloth I used... http://www.connoisse...sable_wipes.htm

Edit: I'll try to get around to taking some pictures and posting them, it's funny because the button looks like brass now while a spot below the button on the housing looks more like copper.

  5. Yeah, I understand where you're coming from Snubber, but look at it like this, when the iPhone came out the same could have been said about it, "does anyone really need a phone to do all of that, isn't that going overboard?" Sure when they we're selling for $600 most people would have agreed, but when they dropped the price down to $199 with a contract more people jumped on the bandwagon. But if it hadn't been for the people that ran out and bought it for $600 when it was first released do you think the price would have dropped, no, it would have been a failed device. There will always be people that don't mind paying a little extra to be early adopters of new technology, and because of them the rest of you eventually get the same technology at a lower price. Pulse Width Modulation could very well be the future of PVs.

  6. Mr. Dub,

you have me quite intrigued regarding the BE112s. These are compatible with 801's correct? I ordered a 510>801 adapter, with 2 801s and I was going to order a 5pak of the 112s based on this post. Will they work on a 801 adapter?

As DAYVAPE says you'll find varying reports on that. In my experience yes, they work on every 801 adapter I have tried (VP1, VP-PT, Silver Bullet, Indulgence). I don't want to tell you they'll work just to have them not work when you get them, but they really are my favorite 801 style atty to date. Maybe I've had good luck, but I have ordered 2 sets of 10 a few months apart and both orders have all been fine. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been on the road all day, and just finally had a chance to break out the laptop here at the hotel.

  7. Are all vaping components made in China? Is there a THE BEST atomizer or THE BEST battery?

There are some very nice Battery mods made here in the USA as well as the UK and Canada, as far as atomizers go I think they're all manufactured in China (except Carlos's Juice Box).

  8. I would appreciate it if you guys can suggest good suppliers that do ship to South Africa because I believe some of the best vaping products comes out of America.

With the exception of many of the big battery mods out there most all of the e-cig products are manufactured in China, then shipped to resellers in the USA. In the case of the eGo, that is a Chinese manufactured device so if I were you I'd just go ahead and order direct from China, I imagine shipping from a US reseller will be just as pricey.

  9. Here on VT you'll here a lot of people recommend the 510s and 302s, in fact lots of people are really enjoying the Low Resistance 510s @ 3.7V. I'm one of the few here that will say one of my favorite attys is the BE112 (a 801 penstyle / 302 clone) I have had marvelous luck with them lasting a very long time, flavor and throat hit are both great, all in all the BE112 is my go to atty. (I use 5-6V almost exclusively though, but I have used them @ 3.7V and they are still a great choice)

  10. I used Debit. I can get the money back.. but I want my eGo.... /sniffle. I will wait 2 more days... if I don't hear back... which site you guys suggest? Any? I am not trying to change topic.

If you want to order from a US based supplier check out Vapor Pro (there are many others that sell it too) - /joye-ego-black.html

Also if you were looking to save some money ordering from China Eastmall sells their own version of the eGo (750mAh) - http://www.eastmall.net/product_info.php/cPath/121/products_id/975

I have bought products from Eastmal before and they were very good about sending me confirmation as well as tracking info as soon as my package shipped (1 week door to door)

  11. Hmmm... they may be having server problems, the link you supplied is taking forever to load (in fact it just timed out). That being said I would definitely recommend sticking to the list of certified suppliers posted here on VT. I'd be pretty upset if I were you too, they took your money fast enough, but now you can't get a response from them, that's bad customer service. Now bad customer service does not always mean it's a scam, a few people have some pretty awful experiences even with the certified suppliers, so sometimes it's just bad luck. Remember that the majority of these online shops are run out of someone's home, and they may or may not have any experience in customer service or running a business at all for that matter. This whole e-cig thing is kind of like the gold rush right now, some people are legitimate, some are just in this for a quick buck before the bottom drops out. Good luck resolving this and be sure to let us know how it all turns out.

  12. Here's how I look at the $300+ price tag, this has taken some real R&D. This isn't just another big battery mod, it's a completely new way to power our atomizers. People aren't complaining about shelling out $170 for a Joker, for my dollar I'd rather spend another $130 and get something like the Pulse. I think maybe a lot of it is most of my "toys" cost a whole lot more than $300, so it seems pretty reasonable to me. I'd sure be disappointed if the device failed inside of a year at that price, but hopefully it will come with at least a 3 month warranty or more, after that amount of time most electronics I have dealt with either have broken or work well for awhile. Spend some time looking into Pulse Width Modulation if you are not familiar with it, this really is one of the most efficient methods of providing variable voltage.
