  1. Cool mod here. I didn't have any Lipton Pyramid bags so I tried it with some PG Tips bags I had in the pantry. Opened up 2 of them, folded them in half and rolled them tight so they could fit inside of my 801 cartridge. It seems to hold significantly more juice with little to no pooling, and feels like a slightly harder draw, but it's not excessive. Vapor production is better than the standard cartridge so far.

  2. There are so many advantages to the e-cig. Cost over time is the big one for me. But you also have the advantage of being able to use the device in places where you previously could not or would not smoke a traditional cigarette. Hotels are a big one for me, most hotels are non smoking (not that I smoke inside my home, but it is easier to walk out the back door and light up a smoke than it is to take an elevator down 17 floors to the lobby and walk outside) with an e-cig I can vape away all night long in my room while I get work done on the computer or watch TV. The fact that you don't always smell like an ash tray is great too. For me it didn't feel like I was having to give up something when I quit analogs, I was just moving on to something better. I get the same stress relief I sought from cigarettes without the high price, and the social inconveniences. Good luck with the conversion!

  3. INDY.. thanks for the info. I checked the site and it states these are "standard atomizers" does not specify LB Are all their attys LB or are they in a different area on the site?

    thanks Warthog

I don't believe these are low bridge models, at least not the ones I received. That being said they seem to be of good quality, I am waiting for the LB 801 to be back in stock at awesomevapor.com before I can really compare the two, but for $6 a pop + shipping they are some of the most affordable 801 atomizers I have found. They do ship from China (about $16 in shipping to get them to TX) so I ordered 10 of them to make it worth the shipping costs. I ordered Sunday night and they arrived on Friday morning... wrapped in layer upon layer of packing tape and bubble wrap. It was seriously excessive, but 8 curse words and one pair of scissors later I had my 10 spare 801 attys in hand for roughly $76. I still plan to check out the competition, but unless they give me a reason to switch I am very pleased with both the price and the shipping speed from bestecig.com. Has anyone ever run these at a higher voltage (5v)? I'm just curious to hear if they hold up at the increased voltage.

  4. I'd say 3 weeks is right at that point for me where I'd be disappointed, but not terribly surprised. Any mass-manufacturing process will have some flaws and there will be units which perform better or worse, it's the price you pay for less expensive products. Check the forums and you'll find many educated opinions as to the best vendor to buy from, because really it's the vendor's customer service that ultimately handles these situations. I'd rather pay a little more if I know that the customer service is better with one product over another, even if they are the same basic thing.

  5. I absolutely agree it should be up to the employer. Respect your workplace, or find a new job. I work from home, so I can see why some people would think it kind of lame for me to make that statement, but I also travel all the time, and I don't smoke my e-cig inside of the airport or the plane. Why? Because travel can be very stressful to people, and while I may think it's totally cool to vape away, in that situation it would be inappropriate in my opinion as it could upset the people around me, and because of that I do not use my e-cig until I get outside of the terminal. It's just a common courtesy thing to me. The last thing I want to do is to cause an incident over something so trivial. But that's me, if you want to vape in an airport / workplace / etc. go for it, more power to you, hopefully it works out, but if you know that it could create a negative situation you then have to deal with just ask yourself is it worth your trouble?

  6. How about an Android app? LOL, I know, too much time / effort for such a small segment of your users. But hey, if anyone out there wants to give it a go I'd be happy to help whenever I can, but I travel frequently for work and just don't have the time to tackle something like that myself. I'd have to catch myself up to speed on the Android SDK, and it's been years since I have done any real coding. Just throwing that out there... but I can't wait to check out the mobile site! Keep up the hard work.

    Cheers.

  7. I still need to make a point and try some other e-juices, but I am very happy with Johnson's Creek juices so far. I had ordered the sampler when I first started with e-cigs and I really like the Tennessee Cured, French Vanilla and Espresso. Shipping has been quick, 2-3 days, and I like that they ship the liquid in glass containers. Maybe I'm being paranoid but low end plastics can be dangerous. Long story short I would recommend JC juices.

  8. Does soaking the atomizer in Crest mouthwash work as well as the denture cleaner or boiling methods?

I wouldn't use mouthwash. Seems to me it would just leave behind residue without really breaking up anything on the atomizer. But hey, if you have an atomizer to offer up to the Vape Gods go for it and see what happens. Nothing wrong with experimenting on an old atomizer that has already pulled a couple tours of duty. The most important thing it to really rinse it off good after cleaning, you don't want to be vaporizing Crest Mouthwash I would imagine.

  9. Yeah, I love my VP1, great build quality and the vapor production when paired with a DSE801 atomizer is great. I can already tell I'll be purchasing one for my wife when they have more in stock next week. The battery life is amazing compared to my old M-401, and replacement batteries are only $6.99, which is affordable. I seem to get some strange looks sitting at a traffic signal puffing away, I guess it does look pretty odd to someone that has no idea what it is. I'm also thinking about picking up the USB Passthrough as I spend much of my day sitting in front of my PC and it would be nice to check out the higher voltages everyone seems to be raving about on these forums.

  10. I've tried the RC Cola method with success on my old M-401s. For anyone that hasn't come across this one yet it's really simple. Just soak the atomizer in RC Cola (most colas work, but I read somewhere RC has the most acidity) then rinse it out really good and let it dry. A lot like back when you used some coke to clean off dirty pennies in school.
