I feel safe to comment now that @Squid and @Tam have responded.  You have heard from two of the Masters-O-Vape.  I don't yet have a year but I surely don't suffer from any of what you describe.  I've not talked to anyone who has.  So simply enough, stay with the testing and try to know for sure what's going on. 

Try this routine with the Clito before you give up on it.  Set your mod low, say at 30W.  Have a vape.  Turn it up a few watts e.g. 33W.  Have a vape.  Keep doing this and you should experience the flavor getting better and being best at some point.  When you pass that point and increased wattage starts causing the flavor to diminish, simply go back to the best setting.

Priming generally refers to setting up a fresh coil. Putting a few drops on the cotton of the coil before installing it in the tank, or letting a fresh coil sit for a time in a full tank of juice. A combination of the 2 methods can be used as well. Never heard of "priming a coil" repeatedly. Can you elaborate on the process you are using?

What flavor are you vaping? Also, what's the PG/VG ratio? Like @Walt said, the bad taste could also be coming from the fact that you have a bad cold, have vaper's tongue, and bad taste buds. Make sure you're drinking lots of water (not soda/pop, coffee, tea or juice -- just water). Vaping dehydrates you and the "vaper's tongue" you mentioned is basically dehydration.

Ankle still hurts, doesn't seem to be making much headway there. I'll talk with the doc next week about it when I go in for another follow up. Just finished PT and I've got a 120 degree bend on the knee! That was the goal when I started. They said they'd be thrilled with 115 but would prefer 120.  Not too shabby for the fourth visit.  

With the airflow wide open it's much looser than a Nautilus, imo. Just a little tight for direct lung but plenty loose for a MTL device. I usually have it set at 3/4 open and that works for me. 

If you're looking for a tank that takes 1.5 ohm coils or higher, if you can find them, the Kanger Pro Tank 3 or 4, the Aerotank V2, or my personal favorite is the Aspire Triton V2 take those coils.

That's my motto: Get a back up. Then, get a back up of your back up. After that, get a back up of your back up, back up. You can never have too many. Ever. At one point I went through four back ups for various reasons before getting one that worked at the time. Boy, was I ever glad that I had them to go to. I know it doesn't help you now, but as soon as you can, get some back ups, they don't have to be fancy, even pen style batteries are good in a pinch.

You're welcome.  First opportunity, get a back up.  Even if it is a $20 mechanical tube mod.  They aint fancy but they will make vapor and keep the stinkies away!!! 

Does your mod read the resistance of your heating coil? If it's not, then it sound like the coil from the tank isn't making a good connection -- to continue with the diagnosis that @Walt was starting.

I just can't get over the fire button.  Super smooth.  Just floats in and out.  Have a little Serpent mini on it and am getting a vape as good as any regulated mod.  Just plain nice. 

@Tam and @Walt are correct...  Increasing the volume of creamy flavors (Vanilla, Malted Milk, Cream, Ice Cream, etc.) will reduce the "bite" of the fruit flavors.  Like Walt, I've found that certain brands of fruit flavors are much harsher than others, and some of the "candy" flavors are very citrus-acidic and artificial tasting (just like Tam said).  I also prefer Capella and TFA (The Flavor Apprentice) fruit flavors over others.... CAP are some of the best IMO...
I would also suggest lowering the candy flavor (or eliminating it all together) and play with the ratio of Blueberry and malted-milk/ice-cream flavorings until you find the right balance.  Mix in 5ml - 10ml batches until you find the ratio you like best... then you can make gallons if it if you wish  

Schools do test for Nicotine, but not always.  If your son is an athlete, then, YES, they will test for Nicotine.  If they do a urine test, it is not always conclusive or accurate results for Nicotine, but if they do a hair or blood test, it will be more accurate, and hair tests can show Nicotine (or drug use) from many months ago.
Our school does not require annual drug screening of students (state law forbids it), but if you are a student-athlete, your parents must sign consent for random testing.  Thanks to our "betters" in Legislature, Nicotine is considered as bad as Heroine, so they do test for it (as well as steroids and a host of other drugs), and will suspend/expel any student who tests positive (unless of course they are the star quarterback and/or child of a school admin... grrrr).  The only way to get them back into school is to PAY for independent lab test to disprove the school's test... TWICE over the course of 2-weeks.  Even if you prove your child is not using any drugs or performance enhancers, they're branded with the label, still not allowed to participate in sports, and their record will still show the suspension/expulsion... without any apology... 

Hope you like it as much as I do/did. It's just a really good manual mod.

Love the placement!  In my hand my first knuckle bends over the bottom of the bevel perfectly.  Most comfortable thumb fire I have.  The adjustment buttons will lock too so now accidental changes from the palm.

Ok, it all come in yesterday, the wire and the mod.  I spun up some K1 2x26+36 parallel and wound up a 5 wrap on a 3mm rod.  Put it in a 22mm Tsunami.  It was a little confusing.  The mod came with a bunch of extra tubing for different batteries and no instructions.  I found a video.  So here it is in all it's glory.  Honestly, it was a little anticlimactic.  I was half expecting a monster flame thrower or something.  It is a nice little vape though.  The raw simplicity of the thing is kinda alluring. 

Didn't see that commin.  Surprised, but not surprised.  The most amazing Tam.
