Protank 2 issue - anyone else have this problem?
Tam replied to VaperG's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Oh I'm certain we've all done this at least once -- even if they won't admit to it. -
Vape mail waiting on me to get home: another 125 ml bottle of EC Blends' Feels Like a Nut in 12 mg nic, 60 PG/40 VG this time, double extra sweetener. Also a 10 ml bottle of Dragon's Crown with same info as above. These came with a free sample of 0 nic Mind Bender with extra flavor. Not a clue what kind of flavor Mind Bender could be but it smells yummy.

I'm right here, silly. Why do you ask?

Preferably without the typos and awful sentence structure. Lol

Did you get a regular sized Davide or a mini version? If you got the mini version you'll see three holes around the base. Just put a tiny piece of tape over one of the holes or put your finger over one and take a draw. The tape is what I use and the draw is now better. If you got the regular Davide, did you get a collar/beauty ring with it? If so you can use that to tighten up the draw by screwing it on, screwing Davide in, then unscrewing the collar with the Davide on until the collar is flush up underneath the bottom of the Davide. That should tighten up the draw by restricting airflow to the tank.

The first thing I would do is to take a look at the posts in your batteries. Are they both sticking up the same height? If so continue to step two. Take a look at the connection end of your EVODs. Are both the little round things in the center sticking out in the same amounts? If no to the battery, take a small screw driver or use something similar and carefully work the edges of the center post up. Do this a little at a time in a circular motion until it comes up. If one of the battery posts in you EVOD isn't sticking out as far as the other then take the one that's shortest and, using a pair of tweezers or needle nosed pliers, pull very gently out just a tiny bit. Try on battery. Hopefully, one of those solutions will work for you.

That's why I quit using my KPT, it was waaay to airy for me. It felt like I was sucking air. With the collar it helped but not enough for me to keep using it. I bought a collar specifically made to restrict the air flow and that worked better. This is also why I prefer the KPT2 because I can restrict the airflow by changing the drip tip. On my Davide mini I put a tiny piece of tape over one hole.

Well, I already know I like the apple pie. When I tried it in the CE4 I was tempted to vape it dry right there! The others will get a spin once I get home and have the time to really get a good go around with them. Even tinkering with juices gets interesting trying to get it "right". When I was working on getting my mojito the way I wanted it I wound up getting too much nicotine and got dizzy. Had to stop for the night and take it slow the next day.

Wait. What??? You take bribes, right? Huh? Huh??? Tell me you take bribes.
-
Seriously??? Wow. That is pretty high for 30 ml.
-
Me, neither. I'm still in the tinkering with my juices stage. Haven't made the jump to total DIY. Yet.

Hey! Did you swipe the collar from my KPT2, Troy? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Here I am! No, I wouldn't do that to a beginner. Probably wait a bit until she conquers the clearomizers. Lol, Medic. I'll be happy to push those on YOU, however. I would definitely recommend a Vision Spinner 900 mAh battery for your first variable voltage. It's not too chunky, rather pen-like but just a little bit thicker. Pair that with an Anyvape Davide mini and you'll be set. I'd also recommend getting at least a 5-pack of extra coils. The Davide mini uses the same coils as the Kanger Pro Tank/Pro Tank 2. The Spinners come in all kinds of different colors like chrome, black, white, purple, pink, forest green, dark blue, rainbow... See? I can be non-scary. For now. Once we get her broken in, all bets are off.

Bought another KPT2, a 30 ml bottle of apple pie and peppermint, and a 10 ml bottle of pomegranate in 12 mg nic, 50/50 from Rino Vapes tonight.

Is this safe? (Vision Nano Clearo with Ego Battery)
Tam replied to highpass's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I've got Nano clearomizers and have used them with my eGo batteries with no problem at all. You should be fine. Plus, I'll third what bcarter said. -
I've always called you Troy. You just never noticed it before.
-
Not sure what you got but someone else with more experience in DIY than me will probably chime in. If it's not usable, you might try getting your PG from ecigexpress.com http://www.ecigexpress.com/propylene-glycol-usp-select-size-5302.html

Weird. I never have trouble with my Davide mini and Dragon's Tear. Just what are you doing to it, B? I was just about to suggest running it under some hot water to loosen the threads but Troy beat me to it. It always works on my syrup bottles...

No e-liquid is going to taste exactly like an analog (cigarette). After you go trying a bunch looking for a cig replacement you'll find that you start to prefer other flavors instead. If you're like a lot of us you'll give up the tobacco flavors pretty quickly and can't stand them anymore. Why not give a few of these different flavors a try now and save yourself some time and money?
-
We do? Since when and how come I didn't get the memo? Welcome.

Silly allergies left me with a sore throat this morning. A mix of 80% Peppermint and 20% Blueberry in my KPT2 takes care of the sore throat nicely. Both from EC Blends at 50/50.

You might try contacting them through their Facebook page, that seems to be up.

You know what's really funny? All of the drip tips I got with my Davide minis...they all rock in the tank. The other drip tips I bought separately from different vendors sit nice and snug.

Ok, Need E-Liquid for Dummies, Sorry.. : ( Help.....
Tam replied to newegot4us's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
For those who mix their own e-liquids, they buy just the nicotine. That's what you're supposed to dilute with PG (propylene glycol), VG (vegetable glycerine), flavorings, and sweetener. If you're buying premixed juices then you can just add that to your tank and vape, the nicotine has already been diluted for you. There's a lot to learn when you start vaping but you've come to the right place. The people here are friendly and don't mind questions at all. As Medic said above, I second his recommendation to get 18 or 24 mg of nic in your juices to start. I was a pack a day Marlboro Light (12 mg nic equivalent) smoker when I started vaping. My juice was 24 mg of nic so I could break the analog (cigarette) habit. Once I got over the hard part I started going down in nic. Now, I vape mostly 12 mg but go down to 6 and sometimes 0. It won't happen overnight but it'll get there. Good luck! -
With all the exclamation points you used I think you might've gotten a little too much nicotine!!!!!!!!! Welcome.
