  1. Go you! I'll keep my fingers crossed that your brother can make the switch and stay quit.
  2. The one dozen 5-pack of 1.8 ohm short stemmed KPT single coils came in from the Vapor Talk store today. I must try them out to see if they're still as good as I remember.
  3. I wonder if the vertical coil will work in the Davide...?
  4. Earthling recommends some of the most popular tanks around. They're very dependable and relatively trouble-free. I love my Davide and Davide minis.
  5. If you're just getting off of analogs it could be part of the withdrawal process from all the different carcinogens in a typical cigarette. It could also be that you're vaping too much and getting too much nicotine (if you've been chain vaping with your new device). Your new set up most likely is much better at delivering nicotine than the disposable e-cig was. Even though you think you're drinking enough water, if you're vaping more, you'll need to drink even more water. Vaping really dehydrates you.
  6. Because the Nautilus mini's coil is vertical versus the usual horizontal coil, it might last longer but we won't know until the thing ships out. I'm anxiously awaiting the Vapor Talk store to get them in stock. There's one with my name on it along with a couple of 5-packs of coils...
  7. Fully charged on the Vision charger with no need to disconnect. Not so much with the Joyetech charger. I think this is setting a precedent.

    Hello!

    Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  9. My Spinner finally needed a charge. I took it to work with me today so I could keep an eye on it while charging to see if Jeff's experience with a regular charger would work as long as the battery was all the way discharged first. Plus, I forgot my Vision charger at home but I keep Joyetech chargers at work. It got up to the blue and...stopped. I vaped it back down and it's on the Vision charger now. I'll post when it stops charging. Fingers crossed that it'll go through all the different lights and gets a full charge without having to disconnect and reconnect.
  10. I'm locking this thread since he started a new one elsewhere.
  11. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  12. Before you do that, you might try this? http://www.vaporladylounge.com/2014/04/stripped-thread-innoken-vtr-fix.html

    new here

Good for you for getting off the analogs! Read through the threads here at VT, you'll get lots of ideas about different battery types and various tanks and coils for when you're ready to move up. If you want to do a search on anything specific, just click on the magnifying glass at the top of the page and type in whatever you're interested in. I'm sure it'll turn up more links than you probably have time to read. We also have a whole bunch of really nice and knowledgeable vapers here so feel free to ask questions, too. Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  14. You might try contacting the manufacturer to see if there's a fix. I know the first generation VTRs were notorious for stripped threads. My VTR is of the first round but so far I've been very careful and very lucky. *knocks on wood* Sorry that I can't be more help than that.
  15. Go, Earthling! I just love it when you talk geek...
  16. You've got a good set up there. Move up once you get the hang of using what you have. There's no rush. Kick back and enjoy the ride... Welcome to VT.

    hi

    Hiya.
  18. Although I love my KPT2 with the aerotank base, my favorite would be a full-sized Anyvape Davide with an Aerotank base.
  19. I seriously doubt that the news print has any nic in it, that would be a huge liability for the manufacturer as nicotine can and is absorbed through the skin. Just my opinion but I don't think trading one addiction to another is a good idea. Vaping is still so new that no long-term studies have been done to prove that it's totally safe. We former smokers of traditional cigarettes just know that it's less harmful than what we used to smoke before. I would never suggest to a non-smoker to take up vaping, it's still too new and we don't know if there are any long term negative effects that could occur later on. As far as I'm aware, there are no flavors like news paper available. You'll find lots of fruit, candy, tobacco, bakery...you name it and you should be able to find it as long as the flavor is something that is ingested on a regular basis -- unlike news paper. Sorry!
  20. So...if we called you a "long sucker," that would be you? Lol.
  21. Veerrrrry interrresting.
  22. Guess it's more miss than hit for me. Tried twice to do the overnight charge on the Joyetech charger and both times it stuck at the blue and wouldn't continue to charge until I disconnected and reconnected again. Ha! I finally got it down to orange. It should need charging again...soon-ish.
  23. There's a learning curve to vaping in general but it's steeper with a mod and RDA and coil building. If you're interested in just vaping, like the advice you were given above by our knowledgeable members have said, I would also suggest getting something like a Vision Spinner 2 or an MVP 2 for batteries. Add an Aerotank, Aerotank mini, Kanger Pro Tank (2 or 3), some extra coils (the three tanks I mentioned all use the same coils), some juice and you should be ready to go. Fairly simple and much less fuss and expense than having to buy an ohm meter, wire, drill bits, wicking, torch, and other stuff to build a coil for an RDA.
