  1. Just going by what Phil Busardo said in one of his videos about TC. Since Ni200 carries such a low resistance, it's not such a task to find the right number of wraps to stay in the specified range.
  2. I've been wanting one for a while now but the prices have been out of my budget until this one. I was ready to save up $189 for a Vaporshark RDNA but now I don't have to.
  3. I'm sure that all the major manufacturers will be making nickel coil heads in the near future.
  4. Pure Nickel Wire 28 Gauge RW0199 - 100 FT - $7.23 shipped
  5. You can use Kanthal A1 or Nichrome if you want to, but TC won't work with those. In order to take advantage of temperature limiting, you have to use Nickel wire.
  6. Just as in other mods, it depends on the wattage you're vaping at...I'd use high amp batts in any case.
  7. One thing I can tell you is that when using nickel wire (required for TC), you can build your coil according to the space you have to build in and not worry so much about hitting a target resistance like you have to do with Kanthal A1.
  8. Even at lower voltages, when the wick dries out, the temperature of the coil skyrockets. TC effectively prevents that from happening by limiting the max temp to whatever you set for a limit. Ive heard that 420F is what most people use to prevent cotton wicking from burning.
  9. Temperature control is like a speed limit. You set your temp limit for just below the flash point of your wick and it keeps it from burning. You can press the fire button with a completely dry cotton wick and you won't burn it. Dry hits are so painful because when there's no juice in the wick, it starts to char. No more dry hits with temp control.
  10. For me, it's not about the water resistance...it's the fact that it's got temp control for under $70. That makes it hard to pass up. No more dry hits or scorched cotton wicks.
  11. Doesn't seem to grasp the significance of temperature control, does he?
  12. AND it's less than half the price of the Vaporshark RDNA...under $70!
  13. Nice to be able to see your juice level with no blind spots.
  14. I bought the small version for the missus a couple of weeks ago and she loves it, but the tank capacity was too small for her liking, so I got her the 2.5ml atty and claimed her 1.8ml atty for myself. I have to say that I, too, am really impressed with it's performance. I use the 1.8ml atty on my Smok Xpro set to 13.7 watts with the 1Ω coil head and the airflow restricted for a good mouth to lung inhale. It's replaced my Smok Dripper RDA (on the Xpro) as my take-to-work setup because it's leak-proof and holds just enough juice to get me through the workday.
  15. I just bought a 40 watt KangerTech KBox from My Freedom Smokes on sale for $25.95 ($25.79 shipped using reward points from previous purchases and coupon code "ECFDISC14"). Perfect fit for my 25mm Subtank
  16. Your Clapton is a nice looking coil. I've been tempted to make one, but it looks like a pain to wrap properly.
  17. Here's my Smok Dripper RDA with a vertical .7Ω 26g Kanthal A1 2.5mm 9/8 coil and JOC wick. I vape on this rig all day, every day at work.
  18. I thought this little piece of info was interesting: The Walking Dead Has A Really Clever Ongoing Easter Egg Involving Watches And Clocks
  19. On Talking Dead, Yvette Nicole Brown had a pretty interesting theory that the "W" might actually be an "M" carved by Morgan (the guy that took Rick in when he awoke from the coma and left the abandoned hospital in S1-E1). Morgan is still roaming around out there somewhere. If you remember, Daryl saw a light in the distance when he and Aaron were out doing recon, so...
