  1. Welcome to the forum! I'll looked at all the vaper forums and this one hands down has been the best fit for me. Awesome design and UI (gonna keep paying you these compliments at every opportunity Chris) that makes it easy to find what you're looking for. Another musician here as well. Played guitar, bass, trumpet & tuba through high school, ever since college i've pretty much just stuck to my bass. Love to play the hell outta it and make other bass players see how boring they are :-p Do i smell a VT band? Lmao.
  2. Agreed! I love the little hand written notes on the invoice too! Very nice personal touch. I set aside the CDS for the time being but like havin a couple toots in the after dinner - before bed window. It's a nice little dessert Just don't think i could ever vape it all day. Can't wait for my last order to finish steeping. I think i can start vapin them on Friday
  3. http://vaporsupplies.com/ One of my first hardware orders came from here and I have yet to receive it. I should have read the fine print on shipping that says Air China takes 2-4 weeks to deliver. My fault, but either way their shipping options were pretty terrible for the price vs. estimated delivery. I think i paid $5 for the 2-4 week option and it was a very small order. It's easier than ever to purchase something with only a few clicks of the mouth but know where your stuff is coming from. I prefer places that have a physical store/location in the U.S. Something you can put a face to. They may be getting most their gear from China, but they already have it in stock and can get it in your hands quick. Ordering from Chinese distributors will get you in the pickle i'm in now. I have no clue if i will ever get the order (luckily it was only a 5pack of Boge cartos and an ego vision clearomizer) and if so, when. In checking the tracking number, it's been 'preparing shipment' now for over a week. Ri-donk-ulous.
  4. In my experience, most little local shops like that tend to know less about the product that first time buyers do. Bummer.
  5. http://www.thevaporroom.net/ Fairly new the game, so I'm not speaking from a huge wealth of experience, but I really can't say enough about these guys. Order usually ships within 24 hours, and is usually in my hands within a day or two from when it ships. I'm sure this isn't the norm, but I ordered my last order on a Thursday evening and got it Saturday morning. e-Liquid flavors i've tried are delicious, they let you customize with your desired nic level, PG/VG ratio, and bottle size, but they require certain settings/minimums for certain flavors to ensure the flavor isn't comprimised, which to me speaks to their care for quality of product. Lastly, they run a gamut of deals. Free 15ml for first time customers. Free 3ml w/ every order. Perfect for trying out new flavors you're unsure of. 30ml flavor or the week for only $10 (choose from 4 different flavors that rotate every week), and a 15ml featured flavor for only $7 (can only choose from 1 flavor on this one). Flavors i've tried: RY4: Either Giner's blend or the TVR RY4 are delicious, far and away one of my favorite juices. They say Ginger's blend has a slightly stronger tobacco flavor whereas the TVR blend has more emphasis on the caramel/marshmellow flavor. I prefer Ginger's blend b/c it seems to have a stronger throat hit and i didn't notice any drop off in the sweeter flavors Cinammon Swirl: I've heard people rant and rave about this but I'm not a huge fan. IMO it's a little strong on the cinnomon flavor and a little weak on the sweetness (that icing flavor). Nice for a quick after dinner vape but could never be my mainstay, just not that into it. More reviews to come as I'm currently letting these steep: 555, French Vanilla Coffee, Green Apple, Hazelnut, Strawberries & Cream
  6. Also i've expierienced much of the same w/ the ego-c tanks, better for thin juices, and better used as a backup/2nd pv as it never seemed to keep up with me. I put it down for a few mins tho and you get a couple sweet hits. i've got about 10 of those atties so i'll use them as a backup but now i need to stock up on these 306's and more boge cartos. Mmmm Mmmm good.
  7. I've already got one on the way but i ordered it from vapor supplies using China Air.... which as i didn't see at first in the disclaimer... takes 2-4 weeks to ship. It's been 'preparing shipment' for about a week and half now lol. Hopefully one day it'll make it to me
  8. Got my LR 306 atty yesterday.... all I can say is wow. Love it. Thanks so much for the advise! No leaking, no dry hits, no wasted juice, and AMAZING flavor & TH!! I'll hang onto my ego-c tanks & attys as backups but I can stop looking b/c i found my mainstay delivery system. Between this and my boge cartos for on the go i think i've got myself covered from every angle. Thanks again!!
  9. A lightsaber is not a toy... lol
  10. Yeah i didn't put nearly that much liquid in and didn't wait that long to start vaping it. No wonder it's drying out so fast. Gonna play around w/ them when i get off work and try all that. Still getting good taste and vapor from both the normal res and LR tho, so I'm excited about these in general. Looks to be a solid on the go option. Thanks!
  11. No i haven't tested them. Where can I pick up a multimeter? Is that something generic i could pick up at Lowe's or would i have to find one online? I suppose that would be the 1st step. I also think I did the initial fill wrong as I just dripped liquid in from the top and i'm noticing that they're drying up pretty quick. I'll probably try PBusardos condom fill method next to see if really saturating all the filler from the bottom makes any difference. I notice the vapor is warmer but i don't notice any difference in TH or amount of vapor. Both are still good and all, but if it doesn't make much of a difference for me i don't want to keep buying the LR to preserve battery life.
  12. Ok so i've had my ego-c for 2 weeks now and things are going good. Tank system is kinda whack but it's nice to have as a fallback. Only 1 analog in that timeframe and that was when i was hangin at my bros house and he smokes indoors which makes it pretty difficult. Good news is i didn't even finish it cuz it tasted gross and the flavor of direct dripping is just soooooo much better. I just get fooled b/c i LOVE the smell of an analog being smoked, just not the smell of it after. Anyways, i've been mostly direct dripping so far but need something better for on the go. Just got my Boge cartos the other day, 3 normal res and 3 LR. I've been going back & forth between the normal and LR and they both have the same juice in them. Call me crazy but i notice little to no difference in the flavor, TH, and vapor production between the two. I thought LR attys were supposed to be pretty noticeable w/ better TH and vapor? If anything i'd almost say i like the normal res better. Has anyone had a similar experience or can anyone touch on why i may be experiencing the reverse of the general consensus? Just thought it was weird. Been using my ego 650mah batteries and my 1000mah passthrough so i think i'm always at 3.3 volts. Thanks in advance!
  13. Putting what is to come aside, I think it speaks volumes about the people that have been fighting for this industry, that their efforts and the community and products they've built have most definately put a dent in the profits of some of the biggest companies in the world. That's the definition of innovation. VT and vapers everywhere... congrats.
  14. Amen. Exactly why my 1st 2 juice purchases have been this sampler pack from the vapor room, plus free 3ml for every purchase and free 15ml for 1st time customer. Thats 7 different flavors and 48ml of liquid for $20 on your first order. If you can't find a mainstay from that crop you've got bigger problems :-p http://thevaporroom.net/five-sample-bottle-6ml-dea6.html
  15. Since Blu is what got me introduced to ecigs as well, if i rewind the clock and put myself in my own shoes, i'd say it would probably positively influence my decision. A lot of people refuse to try ecigs or stick w/ them permanently b/c of all the unknowns. They'd rather default to the "known evil" which to me is doesn't make much sense b/c anyone w/ google can figure out inhaling PG and VG is nowhere near as harmful as analogs. In my eyes, Lorillard buying blu makes blu seem more credible, and it makes the industry as a whole IMO seem more legit to the ecig virgins.
  16. I think there will be good and bad to come of this. The bad is that big tobbaco is getting involved, and as we’ve seen their objective is to make as much money as possible, regardless of the harm they’re doing to their customers. The good is that this will add a certain level of quality control, regulation, and competitive pricing to ecig products that currently doesn’t entirely exist. Hopefully this will prompt additional research studies that will shed additional light on the long term effects of using ecigs. Bottom line, this is evidence that ecigs are making a dent in big tobacco’s wallets and they don’t like it. Unless blu is going to change their current model entirely i don't know how much things will change immediately, mainly cuz they're specifically targeting 1st time ecig users and their product IMO isn't going to last anyone who wants to stick with it for the long haul. They were my 1st ecig purchase but i ditched them pretty quick cuz the battery life is terrible, the PCC stops charging batts well after awhie, and their prefilled cartridge flavors don't pack much throat hit.
  17. Awesome thanks! I'll check out the lr306. Glad to hear it's not just me w/ the ego c attys, and I know exactly what ur talking about cuz I'd get a dry hit, then take a peek in there and I could see the juice building up on the outter ring. I'd try like hell to get it to fall into the center w/ no luck. I think if i get those 306's for dripping, use the ego-c's only for the tanks, then have my cartos for on the go i hope to have a good balance of variety & flavor.
  18. When I drip i use the ego-c atty w/ a drip tip in place of the tank. 3 drops gets me about 3 or 4 long drags, but after that I get a burnt taste, so i add 1 more drop. This seems to flood the atty and i get juice out the battery/atty connection Do i need to just space my drags out more or does it sound like i'm doing something wrong? I have a vision clearomizer, a smoke tek dual coil tank, and some Boge cartos on the way just to try 'em out. Hoping to find some more consistent delivery methods Personally i'm not liking the ego-c tanks at all, the flavor & TH are just too weak in comparison to dripping. LOVE the ego batteries tho so at least thats 1 component for sure down. My 1000mah passthrough has been lasting me 24+ hours under pretty heavy use.
  19. I tried 4 different attomizers, one of which was right outta the packaging and none worked, I'm gonna give them all a thorough cleaning along with the cone and see if that does the trick, otherwise i guess i'll have to pick up a few extra attomizer bodies. What do you guys use for the delivery method w/ these? I like the attomizer but the tanks mute so much flavor. I've just been direct dripping but I feel like i've been adding too many drops too often cuz i get juice coming out of the bottom of the atty so often. Hopefully i didn't do any damage to it if thats why it's not working now.
  20. Cool, thanks Mike. I tried cleaning everything off w/ a paper towel and i'm still getting the same problem so i guess i'll try running everything under hot water and let it dry overnight. Luckily i still have 1 working atty w/ my fav. juice. I'm starting to think the problem might be with the atty base and not the atty head itself b/c i tried a brand new atty head and got the same result. Looking at the atty base, there doesn't seem like there's much that could possibly go wrong.. it's pretty plain & simple. Anyone have any suggestions with regard to the atty base?
  21. So i'm having some problems with my ego-c attomizers. I only have 2 atty base/cones but i have 3 different flavors of juice. I started vaping the first 2, then I swapped out an atty head for a few days to vape the 3rd flavor, but when i put the original back in, it's not working at all. I can't hear the atty firing when i click the battery button. I pulled out an new atty and all was well but when i swapped it out again for the other previously used atty, that one wasn't working either. Do they just need cleaned? Do these atty's stop working if you stop using them for a day or two? Any additional info on these attys is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  22. Yeah i feel like no matter what people are going to react like you're smoking an analog indoors, but if you explain what you're doing and why, people seem pretty receptive to it. If anything it's a good way to get the word out there about ecigs and how awesome they are happy vaping
  23. That seems to be whats happening to me, when i disconnect the battery from the attomizer there's a bit of liquid on the bottom of the atty base but it doesn't seem to be very much, and it doesn't seem to be dripping into the battery connection. Guess I'm ok then
  24. Thanks! I already got my ego-c kit and it's going pretty well so far. The tanks are tempermental, but I've got some LR cartos on their way now. I have another question about the ego-c atty. It seems like every now and then a bit of juice is making it through the atty base, and in between the atty and battery. I've read that this is bad and shouldn't happen. Am i flooding my atty? I'd find that hard to believe as i'm still getting dry hits every now and then. It seems to happen more when i direct drip. Can't tell if my tank is just leaking too much or if i'm adding to much juice when i direct drip or maybe i'm just flooding my atty or what. Or maybe I'm not doing anything wrong and this is normal. Any suggestions?
  25. If he was tampering with the device then it's a sad, sad story of people not being accountable for their actions. That being sad, right or wrong this is nothing new in world we live in. They say the only things in life guaranteed are death and taxes, I say it's death, taxes, and people being ******* morons. I liked an earlier comparison to this being like the McDonalds hot coffee lawsuit. Plenty of other industries (cell phones, computers, etc.) have to go through ridiculous sucurity measures to make sure their devices are completely idiot proof so that they don't get sued by some jerk that can't read directions. They've all had unfortunate incidents, and have taken bad publicity for it, but they just have to learn, react, and adapt their products & processes. It's unfortunate for all parties involved, but it's the nature of the beast, and hopefully in the long run the industry will be better of for it :-/
