  1. Lol, My chronic, long-winded remarks are precisely why I try to keep from commenting on most political issues, Talmadge. I'm afraid that the 1000KB limit just isn't enough for a guy like me... And my cigars are not 3-4 feet, awww, never mind......lol
  2. As a previous user of Chantix I can concur with Variven. While on the drug I noticed extremely lucid dreams. Unfortunately, none of them were about sex. I used the drug for more than a month. I would like to add that I greatly reduced my need for nicotine for more than three weeks and the dreams only lasted for about two weeks in my case. However, I found that the drug didn't do anything for the ritual desire to smoke (ie. the whole hand and mouth fixation thing). I was led to think that the suicide issue was mostly an increase in propensity for those who might other-wise be prone to such actions, like the clinically depressed person, but I am now of the opinion that it clearly has the ability to cause these tendencies on it's own. Obviously, this product should be removed from the market until further study can be done, and a heck of a lot more pharmaceutical money can be thrown at the FDA! I mean, come on! The FDA is wasting a great opportunity to make some pretty serious cash. It might even be enough to pay off all the ecigarette companys who want to sue the **** out of 'em. Chantix is a drug that has been proven to block seratonin receptors in the brain. For those people that may not understand this concept, I'll break it down a little. Seretonin is an organic compound (kinda like a hormone) found in animals and humans. It is found in several parts of the brain and in the gastrointestinal system. Seretonin in the brain is released by certain transmitters in the brains' billions of nerve endings. Transmitters basically cause seretonin to be released in certain parts of the brain and when it binds with seretonin receptors it causes a calming effect on us. Seretonin plays a role in what is known as our sympothetic and non-sympothetic nervous system. Ok, so nicotine acts on our brain as a chemical that causes seretonin to be released. Seretonin is then picked up by receptors in our brain and we all go, "awwww, thats much better." Thats basically why a smoke break keeps us from attacking our boss. Conversely, when we don't get our nicotine, we tend to get rreeaallllyyy anxious and lash out at bad drivers, smart-*** kids, and the t.v. because we're not getting that little seretonin bump. What Chantix hopes to do is block the the receptors for seretonin and kinda "trick" our brains into thinking that it has gotten the dose of seretonin we desire and consequently reduce our dependency on nicotine. Smart, huh? Anti-depressants work in almost EXACTLY the same way. Unfortunately, some brains are smarter than others and aren't "tricked" as easily by the the tricky pharmaceutical companies and because we aren't getting that "aawww, thats much better" feeling, we shoot our ourselves, or jump off buildings. Don't take my word for it. Just type in the word seretonin in your web browser and you can learn all about anti-depressants and how they work. Another little known pharmaceutical fact. A great deal of the drugs we take have side effects that can cause the exact opposite reaction than what they are intended to treat. Example: one of the side effects of anti-nausea medications is nausea.....
  3. One of the first things I noticed in this atricle was the statement, "...user symptom complaints such as those listed at......do not reflect objective medical science." I think I have an idea of what else could possibly be causing this woman's problems. Her age, and her prior use of tobacco. I mean, come on. Having two teeth pulled at 44 years of age isn't that big of a deal. Hair loss has been studied for generations and is found to be mostly genetic for both men and women. High blood pressure can be caused from too many things to list here. Is she over weight? How long has she smoked? What's her family history like? Nicotine has been studied for many years. However trying to find a study that isn't bias and funded by some anti-smoking campaign (like this atricle plainly is) is a bit harder to come by....
  4. Everclear is nothing more than 95% pure grain alcohol, sugar. I'm absolutely positive that you will be able to find plenty of it at your local liquor store. If one place doesn't have it, try another. A city as large as L.A. has got to have it somewhere. Everclear is super strong stuff. We use it up here for bathtub hooch and to keep warm in the winter. A buddy of mine uses it to fuel his snowblower. I've tried several of Lorann's flavorings. I like the English Toffee the most. Lorann's is mostly propylene Glycol, go figure, but some contain artificial flavorings, oils, water, and even natural oils like peppermint.
  5. Thank you all very much for your feedback, and for your concern. I guess I can appreciate the notion that I may be coming down with a cold, but I must say that the last 22 years of being a Registered Nurse, coupled with 43 years of life and countless colds during that time, causes me to think that it has more to do with my past tobacco abuse than it does with any viruses.... My purpose for starting this topic was to bring to light the changes that people may feel when they stop smoking. I have talked with several patients, friends, and colleagues about the changes a body goes through when they quit but have sadly never experienced them myself. It is a well known fact that many people go through a phase of productive coughing and changes in they're olfactory senses. Other people have reported symptoms ranging from difficulty sleeping to migraine headaches and even soreness in they're joints and muscles. My mother quit smoking last year, and she tells me that she has never had any symptoms at all. I guess some do, and some don't. My hope was to have other vapers include personal changes that they may have felt. My thinking is that other people new to vaping may experience changes that they may incorrectly attribute to vaping, and not to quiting tobacco. My fear is that these normal effects may cause them to stop vaping and return to analogs thinking that the ecigarette caused the problem.
  6. I'm happy to say that I haven't had any tobacco for over 16 days!! I used to smoke a pack and a half of Marlboro lights every day, as well as 3-4 foot long cigars every week (which is the real reason why my nickname is Footlong). I've been smoking for over 25 years. I'm completely out of shape and I can barely climb a flight of stairs. In fact, up until a month ago, the greatest amount of physical activity I engaged in was dressing myself (which is why I spend most of my free time at home naked from the waste down). I have been vaping (almost non-stop) with my 510 for just over two weeks now. I want to share some things with the forum (even if some people think I'm sharing too much) and get some input from others. I would like to describe the experiences I've had with the eliquid, the suppliers, and about how the 510 has been working for me. Hopefully, I can get some feedback from others that have the 510 and get their opinion (about vaping, that is). Now, from the beginning, my main reason for starting with the ecigarette was to stop smoking tobacco. I've been smoking for way too long and I'm also way too fat. It is my goal to get my body into shape just one more time before I'm too old to care about what I look like. It has become more than apparent to me that if I'm ever going to find my third ex-wife I'm going to have to clean up my act. So, I figure the only way that I'm gonna attract one of those slim Russian gymnasts from Ukraine is to drop 40lbs, stop smoking, and save up for a plane ticket and some jewelry. Tread mills, rowing machines, and spin classes scare the **** out of me. And the amount of sweating I do at the gym scares the **** out of some of the other patrons, I'm told. By quiting tobacco I hope to improve my chances of getting prettier without causing a heart attack. Oh, and I'm not really concerned about anyone's opinion of my courting techniques, or my current life-style choices, so you can save your criticism. I know I'm being shallow and I frankly don't care. So, as you can now understand, the economic benefits to the ecigarette are also a big concern for me. Let's face it, steroids, gym memberships, diamonds, and Viagra are expensive. A pack of analogs costs me $4.90. If I get a carton, they're about $45.00. My Macanudo Portafinos cost me about $8.00 each. A box of those last me about a month. Total all that up and I'm paying about $360 a month. That's almost a fourth of my child support payment (4 kids, plus arrears). I purchased a 510 starter kit from awsomevapor.com. Arno is fantastic, and his desire to be a top-notch supplier is second to none. I received two manual batteries, two atomizers, a wall charger, and 5 fresh cartridges. I also bought a 16ml bottle of 36mg/ml RY-4 eliquid. Along with the new kit, Arno gave me two free samples of eliquid. These liquids were both 3ml bottles and were 18mg/ml. One was the Mentha flavor, and one was the Marlboro flavor. The whole thing cost me $64.00 after shipping, which I think is a pretty sweet deal. Before I even ordered my 510, I read quite a bit from this forum. I also watched just about every video I could find, both here and on youtube. I made the choice of getting a 510 because of all the positive remarks made about it. I basically came to the conclusion that the 510 was probably the most popular e-cigarette out there. After receiving the 510, I was very happy to see that I had made the right choice for me. I charged the batteries for 8 hours before using them and all the equipment has been working very well for me. However, because I have read several remarks about the short battery life of the 510, I made a point to concentrate on how my batts performed. I noticed that the first charge lasted for more than 3 hours and I was very happy about this. But over the coarse of these past two weeks I have certainly witnessed a sharp decrease in the time between charges. I now have only about an hour and a half until I find myself switching to my other battery. Luckily, it only takes about 45 minutes for my batteries to charge completely. I have also noticed that the vapor production isn't what it once was. I think this may have more to do with the batteries than the atomizers. I have cleaned the attys twice since receiving them and I don't see any great improvement. When I put on a new battery I can hear the atty gurgle like crazy as it boils the liquid. But within only a short time this gurgle gets less and less. When I first started vaping I just added more liquid to the cart batting as needed. Technically, this isn't actually dripping as I understand it. I didn't really find the RY-4 to be very tasty. I thought the Marlboro was pretty good, but the Mentha made me gag. I got the 36mg liquid with the idea of cutting it with some VG that I picked up at Walmart for $3.90. Cutting it 50/50 would double the volume and save me even more money, but I started to notice that this made me vape more, and I still didn't like the taste. So for now, I'm just sticking with the full strength. I still haven't really found an eliquid that I love yet, but I'm still looking. In the two weeks that I've been vaping I've learned a lot. I've met quite a few new friends, as well. The biggest thing that I've learned is that my 510, as it is, will soon need to be either replaced, or up-graded. So I went shopping. Recently I've found some very small issues regarding supplies. First of all, PayPal dickishly shut down Arno for a few days. But this misfortune allowed me the opportunity to meet Jeff at wordup-ecig.com. He was extremely helpful in not only getting me what I needed, but also giving me a few tips about eliquid. This guy actually called me in order to thank me for my business (I think he was more curious to meet someone from Wyoming). One of the things that he told me is that it has been his experience that most new vapers don't like the taste of VG starting out and that I should stay with PG for awhile and also stick to the tobacco flavors. He also educated me about the differences between what you get at Walmart compared to what he supplies. Now, Some of you might feel like this may be a sales gimmick but it made a lot of sense to me. Call him up. His phone number is on his website and he'll always answer. Another problem I ran into was that a lot of suppliers have been temporarily out of stock on some of the replacement and accessory items I'm looking for. I found that wordup had a fancy little thing that Jeff calls the "520". Some of you might know this as the mega batt for the 510. It's basically a manual batt that is about 1/2" longer than the regular 510 batt and is advertised as lasting twice as long. But, alas, the 520 batt is out of stock. Some other things I found that should really eliminate most of my batt concerns are the PCC and the USB passthrough. Both of these items, however, are also temporarily out of stock through Jeff or Arno. I really think that it's best to only go through suppliers that VaporTalk has recommended as I've come to really trust Chris and all the folks here at the forum. I commented on this fact a couple of days ago in the chat room and guess what happened. I met Jason from ElectroNicStix.com. He had most everything I was looking for available and in stock, so I ordered through him, as well. I should see these supplies tomorrow as he is real close to me and shipping should be pretty quick. All three of these guys are great! They all have great customer service skills and offer all OEM equipment. I have to say that Arno is the cheapest, IMO, but Jeff is a real close second, and he offers free shipping which can save a guy about $6.00 on average. Jason is a bit more expensive, but his selection is much wider and he has some really cool 510 supplies, like stainless steal and even copper 510s. Getting back to the dollars, I think I'm doing pretty good so far. Over the past 16 days I've gone through about 25mls of liquid. Thats right at 1.5mls a day and I'm vaping like a mad man possessed! The total cost of my nicotine addiction over these two weeks has cost me just over $76.00 if you include the startup costs. I've spent more than that though. My PCC from Jeff, which won't be here for a couple of weeks, due to his being out of stock, cost me $45.00, but comes with a completely new charging system and a brand new 510. Jason sold me a really sweet stainless 520, a USB passthrough, and two bottles of liquid (10mls ea.) for $67.00. And each of these fellas threw in a little something' on the side. I got two 3ml sample bottles from Arno, 3 from Jeff, and Jason offers free shipping for orders over $65.00. So, lets add it up.....(BTW, all prices are rounded up) Starter 510 kit from Awesomevapor................$49.00 22mls of eliquid (including 6mls of samples).....$10.00 PCC w/new 510 from Wordup........................$45.00 30mls of liq. and 30mls of PG cut from Wordup....$21.00 1 510 stainless atty from ElectroNicStix.........$11.00 1 1 520(mega) batt from ElectroNicStix...........$18.00 1 stainless USB passthrough from ElecrtoNicStix..$19.00 20mls of eliq. from ElectroNicStix...............$20.00 Shipping total....................................$5.00 -------------------------------------------------------- Total expenses so far...........................$198.00 This gives me 4 attys, 4 batts(incl. 1 mega520), a PCC, a USB passthrough, and enough juice to last me for 68 days. The passthrough and the PCC, coupled with the durability of the 510 attys should eliminate any equipment concerns and will last for several months. The only additional cost I need to worry about is eliquid, which I won't run out of until January 23rd. $200 dollars for almost 3 months worth of trouble free vaping. Subtract that from the $1,000 I would have spent on analogs and footlongs, and I'm up $800.00 for the quarter!! I can buy a lot of love for $800 in most eastern-European communities. I really have no idea how long it will be before I'll need to but more attys or batts but I'll bet it won't be till after the snow melts, which is the middle of May up here.........
  7. Well, I'm happy to say that I haven't had a single analog cigarette in 16 days!! I used to smoke a pack and a half of Marlboro Lights a day. I've smoked for over 25 years. I have been vaping (almost non-stop) with my 510 for just over two weeks now, and during the past few days I have noticed some changes. I want to share these things with the forum and get some input from others who have noticed changes too. Hopefully we can share the effects that vaping has on us so that other noobies will have a better understanding of what they may run into health-wise. I have noticed a few physical changes lately that have me wondering what else I need to expect. The first thing I noticed was after only a few days of vaping. When I woke up in the mornings the back of my throat was a little sore. I also noticed that it was hard to take those first few vapes. However, my morning smoker's cough has virtually disappeared. The sore throat has improved a great deal and it never lasted for very long, usually going away after the first few sips of coffee. Even though I live alone I have never smoked cigarettes in any part of my house other than my bedroom. Consequently, I spent 90% of my time at home in my bedroom. After only a few days of being analog free I started to become aware of the absolutely disgusting smell that permeated every nook and cranny. So, I think it's safe to say that almost immediately my sense of smell was much more acute. My sense of taste has become much better and I am much more sensitive to odors. Oh, and I have even started to enjoy the other 1300 square feet of my property. Very recently now I am experiencing something that has me a little concerned, and it is this that makes me write today. Over the past four days I have been doing quite a bit of coughing. This coughing usually starts in the evening and has even kept me awake at night. This is a moderately productive cough that has even woke me up. I also wake up in the morning with a very stuffy nose. Now, Chris explained to me when I first joined the forum that I should expect this. And, I am aware that after a few weeks of being smoke free I will begin coughing up all the nasty junk that has been accumulating in my lungs. But I am starting to see this after just two weeks. The coughing isn't like what most people experience when they have a cold or the flu. It's not nearly as harsh. But it is rather persistent mostly at night. How long does this last? What about this stuffy nose of mine? I'm usually never stuffed up! I hate it and it drives me crazy! I can usually blow my nose in the morning and clear my sinuses fairly easily but my sleep has been interrupted every night for 4 nights now from the coughing and the stuffy nose. Are there other things that I should expect as I continue to stay smoke free? What have others learned? Could this be from vaping? I really enjoy vaping and I find it to be much better, and much more economical than smoking. But I can't help but ask if this is normal. I would really like to hear from others about this. I'm sure that everyone is a little different so I think it would be helpful to all noobies to know about this. Being new to vaping raises a lot of questions, as we all know. And I think that one of the most amazing things that each of us see right off is how much of a benefit vaping can be to someone who wants to stop analogs. The more in-depth information we can provide to each other, the more successful we all will be at reducing the risk of poisoning ourselves and those we love and care about. I realize that there has probably been posts made about this before but I thought it might be more helpful to new people if we had this topic in the health section.
  8. I pumped fuel at a truck stop in Big Springs, Nebraska one summer when I was a kid. I remember this old guy who was a mechanic there show us just how flammable diesel fuel is. He flicked his cigarette butt into a bucket half filled with diesel fuel. The lit butt fell in the bucket and went out. No boom, no nothin'.
  9. I voted yes. I understand that employers should have the right to decide what type of activities should be allowed in the work place, given that it doesn't break any laws, but why should an employer ban e-cigarettes? Analogs are banned for good and serious reasons. But e-cigarettes don't pose any health risks to others, do they? And the idea of a restaurant, bar, or even airline banning e-cigarettes is ridiculous, IMO. Are other forms of NRTs banned in public places? The more exposure people have to the benefits of the electronic cigarette, the more understanding they will be.
  10. Thanks Indy...Another fantastic contribrution.
  11. Thanks for the topic, Oddler. I'm gonna try this out
  12. Well It's 7:00 in the morning and final table is finally down to just two players. Darvin Moon has $58.8M in chips and the youngest player to ever have a real chance at winning the main event, Joe Cada(21), has an astounding $136.9M in chips. The two remaining players will take a long rest break and play will resume monday at 10pm Vegas time. Phil Ivey went out in 7th place when his AK was beaten by Moon's AQ. Bad luck, that. Before the flop, Ivey's odds of winning the hand were more than 70%!
  13. I just ordered some eliquid from Jeff at wordup-ecig.com yesterday, and I asked him about the 520 he's advertising. He says its exactly the same thing as the 510 except that it has a LONGER (better)battery. He says it should about double the time between charges... He's got them in auto and manual... 510 with better batteries? I love it!!
  14. I don't know why I haven't found this topic until now. It's a great thread. I'm a long-time nurse too. I've been telling everyone I know about it, patient or friend or stranger. I fully believe that this device is no more harmful than any other NRT. To me, the question isn't "Are ecigs safe?" The question is, "Are ecigs safer than smoking?"
  15. Thank you, Kmel, for your response to this topic. I'm sure all of us are interested in how things effect us and, like I said before, its important to educate ourselves on this stuff. I must say that I've had a difficult time finding current, up to date reports of nicotine use that isn't linked in some way to tobacco abuse. The findings I've been most interested in, and feel are the most pertinent, are those that concern Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRTs). And I'm finding that those reports are somewhat "worded" to convince the reader that NRTs are safe, and much healthier than using tobacco. Please note that most of those studies are done by the same companies that make and profit from the NRTs. I have to admit that some of my opinions about NRTs come from my experience as a nursing professional. I have also talked with my doctor about the ecig. In my postings I have mentioned that pregnant and nursing mothers should not use nicotine. This is not only my opinion but also the opinion of my physician. And NRTs have a warning on the box that tells moms to consult with thier doctors before using the product. NRTs, or nicotine, has been linked to sudden infant death syndrome, I'm afraid to say. Pre-mature birth, birth defects, and low birth rates can be a result as well. Now, in my posting I wrote, "what about the rest of us"? And I wrote that I was still searching for answers on that. I haven't found very much, dear. Your absolutely correct about nicotine not being connected to cancer. I have watched all the interviews on youtube with physicians stating that nicotine, by itself, is not harmful. Even my own doctor has told me that he would much rather me use the ecig than smoke tobacco. When I wrote about possible overdose I was trying to explain (rather poorly, I think) that it is basically IMPOSSIBLE to OD while vaping. You would have to drink a bottle of juice in order to die. And that is why I wrote about the concern I have over the eliquid getting into the hands of toddlers or very small children. After starting this topic, I started another topic called "Why we choose to vape". I went into more detail about the safe use of nicotine there. I really don't have a lot of concerns about nicotine, Kmel. Yes, it is extremely addictive. It is said to be more addictive than heroine. And because of the way it effects neuro-receptors in the brain, the demand for more nicotine increases over time. Which is why everyone ends up smoking more and more the longer they do it. Nicotine is primarily a stimulant. It is known to increase heart rates, and it can increase blood pressure. Because I happen to have high blood pressure this was a concern for me. But when I mentioned this to my doctor he said that the other chemicals found in tobacco are far worse for my blood pressure and that he felt that I was much safer using an NRT (like the ecig) than continuing with tobacco. Addiction concerns are normally viewed as being bad because most addictions have some adverse effect on a person's life or well being. But if it doesn't hurt us in some way is it still bad for us? I think your statement that it's more of a psychologiacal question than a physiological one is very correct. Each person must weigh that decision on thier own. The important thing for me is knowing that I'll be able to enjoy vaping for a hell of a lot longer than I would ever be able to enjoy using tobacco.... Unless I get hit by a truck, that is....
  16. I agree completely. If Phil gets over $20M, look out. But its a long road for him. I think Buchman has a fair chance, and Jeff Shulman is gonna be pretty tough too.
  17. Thanks for your 2 cents, dear. It's nice to see other fans here at VT.... BTW, I love your jewelry and have been considering some of those cuff links. After reading your profile a few days ago I checked out this art form, steampunk, and have fallen in love with the stuff. My mom really wants one of those fancy clocks and I even downloaded some wallpaper and screensavers.....
  18. Well, the day has finaly come. The day that poker fans have been waiting months for has finaly arrived. The final table of the WSOP main event starts at noon. To those of you who love the game of poker, let me invite you to come forward and make comments and chat about all of the excitement that the next few days are sure to bring...... I've been a fan of Phil Ivey for many years now. I've seen him play. I've even met the guy during a trip to A.C. in 2004. He's a short stack at the table, but that may not be as big a factor as it would be for others. He definately knows how to fire bullets, and I'm sure he'll make every one of 'em count. I'm still trying to figure out what the best way to follow the action is today, and I'm pretty sure that the only way may be on the net. If any other fans out there know of where coverage will be offered, I would sure appreciate a heads up!! So, speak up, poker fans and card players..... Who else here loves the game? Tell us your story. How long you been playin'? Lets hear your bad beat tales. Where do you like to play? Whats your favorite game? Anything pertaining to the love of a pat hand, the feel of felt, and the sound of riffeling chips.... I bought Doyle Brunson's book, "How I made $1,000,000 playing poker" (now known as "Super Systems") from an ad in the back of a comic book when I was 14. That was 1980 and it cost me $65.00. It was a hard cover, just like the one in the movie "Rounders". I lost it in a fire after I went into the army. I've been playing poker all my life. My grandpa was a tough-as-nails veteran/pow from WWII who fought in the battle of the buldge. He owned a string of diners and cafe's in Lansing, MI. I started bussin' tables for him when I was 11 and on saturday nights, after he closed up, he always spread a game for his business partners and friends right there in the diner. That game would last until sunday evening most times, and I would empty ashtrays, make sandwiches and eggs, and serve drinks. Eventually, they taught me all the games, including hold'em, and it wasn't long before I had a bankroll of my own. Lol, hell, I joined the national guard for 3 years here in town after I got out of the service just because I heard the game was so soft. I lived in Deadwood, SD. (a casino town) from 1999 to 2005 and I rounded up there every night after work. I loved the two weeks during the summer when the town of Sturgis, SD hosted thier annual motorcycle rally because of all the action it would bring. We mostly played 7-stud and occasionally Omaha high-low. Before 2004, none of the card rooms up there spread texas hold'em. But when Moneymaker won the world series everything changed. I had to go out and buy Doyle's book again just so I could re-learn hold'em. Since then, poker as become a lot different. Before Moneymaker, you couldn't hardly get a fish to sit down at the table. All the players were hard-core rounders that knew the game so well we cleaned out anybody who didn't have a clue. Home games were a joke. 2s and 3s and one-eyed jacks were wild. lol, thats not poker! Thats what rounders called "shotgun poker", 'cause after a half hour of playin' that silly kid crap any serious player would want to put a shotgun in his mouth and pull the trigger! There was no internet Pokerstars. There was no non-smoking tables or soccer moms. It was just leather-faced and leather-assed grinders who who played tight-aggressive nut hands. In 2005, I moved home to be closer to my mom after my dad died. My grandpa died the following year. Both of 'em died of cancer. Dad smoked Winstons and Grandpa smoked $10 havannas. All the action was in Deadwood 110 miles away and I needed to get figure out a way to get my game on. Here in Wyoming poker is legal and you can play the game even in public places as long as you don't take a rake (inderect profit from gambling is concidered illegal). The poker boom was in full swing all over the country and people were coming out of the woodwork to try thier luck and texas hold'em. A buddy of mine owns a local sports bar here in town. He knew that I was an experienced grinder and he asked me to host a tournament at his bar every wednesday night in order to boost drink sales. Wednesday was pretty slow for him and he needed something to draw a crowd. I spread a $30 buy-in NL hold'em tourny and a $1-$2NL cash game. It wasn't long before that bar was at filled to capacity. I hosted that game for over 2 years. Other games had popped up too. Soon there was a different game almost every night here in town. In 2007, I got the other hosts together and we formed the Gillette Poker Club. We rented a empty business building with a large showroom and several offices. We even have a kitchen. We spread a game every night of the week. You can check us out at Gillettepokertour.org. We have well over 100 members now. Soccer moms, cowboys, roughnecks, miners, firmen, city counselmen, business owners, and even young punks barely old enough to drink come play at our club every day. A lot of us have played in the world series, including me. Not the main event, of course. I wouldn't put down 10K against that large of a field, but maybe some day. Today, I'll be rootin' for Ivey, along with millions of other fans. What will you be doin'?
  19. I hear ya, Keenan. And your right. I'm convinced that if the FDA keeps messin' with our nicotine in a dishonest way, there's gonna be a hate crime! I guess I make statements about not being ANTI-FDA mainly because I don't want new vapers or guests to our forum getting the impression that I'm just some kinda conspiracy-theory nut job.....lol, I'll let you do that...
  20. Welcome....I'm kinda new to this, dear, but I have been doin' a great deal of study on all sorts of stuff. I found a lot of answers from Jeff at wordup-ecig.com. He's got yer white attys (OEM) and he can answer ALL your questions about liquids. He's gotta phone number you can call 24/7 listed on his site. He's also a certified supplier......Hope this helps. Tell him Jerry from Wyoming sent ya...
  21. Congrats to all of you....As one of the newest members to this forum, I have to say that VT has not only stopped me from using analogs completely, but it has also significantly reduced the amount of time I spend surfin' porn sites!
  22. Hey Sugar, maybe this will help. Wordup-ecig is runnin' smooth. They don't use paypal and they offer free shipping.....
  23. StringDancer, You are the MAN..... That link is EXTREMELY informative. Thank you very much for posting/re-posting it here. I hope that any attorny that happens to support our cause now, or in the future, will have this type of ammo when he goes up against the FDA.... One thing that I would like to point out about PG,VG, and all the glychol stuff is this. The FDA has been quoted as saying that they found traces of Dyethaline Glychol (DEG) in one cartridge sample that they've tested. This compound (according to the FDA) is apparently found in anti-freeze. Now, I don't know crap about anti-freeze, but I do know that I haven't found a single supplier yet that boasts Dyethaline Glychol as being in thier e-liquid. Whether we should be leary of pre-filled cartridges is a mystery, as well. And because the FDA refuses to publish both thier findings and thier testing methods, pending litigation, we're expected to just believe that what they've said is truth. Hell, the media has even reported these apparant findings without even questioning either the FDAs methods or motives. BTW, I'm not anti-FDA. I completely understand that the FDA doesn't want to endorse something that may seem attractive to young people or that may be harmful in some way. But I am FURIOUS about the tactics they're using to mis-inform our citizens about a product that has OBVIOUS health benefits over analog cigarettes!! THANKS, BUD! GREAT LINK!!!!
  24. Just went to Arno's website and saw a message posted there that PayPal has suspended his account. It says he will be back after finding a new merchant account....Hey Chris..Can you explain more about whats going on?
